It is sad that Barak Obama has to win the confidence of "White working-class voters" whom-ever they are , as this attitude signals a sever disconnect of the American citizenry in that "bigotry and stupidity" must be overcome by those to whom such stupid attitudes are directed.

For too long many, if not most of white America cannot deal with the notion that racism is their problem, not that of the prejudice victims.tsuch stupid attitudes are directed.

I have a question regarding last issue???s lead story on Obama, ???Only in America??? (5/5/2008): Was it a news story or an opinion piece? I consider myself a reasonably intelligent news consumer and I honestly don???t know the answer. Consider one sentence in particular: ???In close elections, decided on the margins, it is discouraging to think that a small minority of racists could make the difference.??? Don???t get me wrong: I happen to agree with that statement, but it is an expression of EMOTION and OPINION not of FACT. If someone expressed that opinion and you reported it, that would be a legitimate part of the story. As it is, the reporters are interjecting their attitudes and opinions into what I presume was supposed to be a straight news story. Sadly, your magazine is rife with examples of the same. This is an issue distinct from the article???s obvious tilt toward Obama. As a professional journalist, I would hope you understand the difference between voicing your opinion and reporting the news on a theoretical level, but do you grasp how far away from the ideal your magazine is anymore? Is blurring the line between news reporting and opinion writing now standard practice?

They seem to not to factor in that obama won 13/14 caucus states only 4 were blue states. He won states early when Edwards got a percentage of the vote. He's won 15/31 to Hillary's 16 and she's only 500K. Why do they think he's won? The stuff is crawling out into MSM. Wright thing only came out because he did it in front of the whole media. Obama knew he was trouble in feb 07 and finally cuts him off in he end of April 08. How long is it going to take him to make a decision in Washington?
