Comment: I worked on electric and hybrid vehicles at Exxon in the 70s. They also had investments in batteries, solar thermal, solar electric, and nuclear fuel processing. I believe Booz Allen did a study and told them to stick to their knitting, focus on the gas and oil.

Comment: Big business used to do a lot of public relations to shine up the dirt, so to speak. But, with the big business party in power now for nearly eight years, the rules and regulations have empowered them so much that they project a screw you attitude to the general public. They can now sneer as your pocket is picked before your very eyes, and quit wasting money on the PR. If you enjoy this a lot, then Mc Cain would be a good vote this fall. I would add the Credit Industry, The Drug Industry and The Insurance Industry to this list. You don't have a chance when you do business with any one of them. Regulation is non-existent and they define everything against their customers in order to profit from sheer mendacity.

Comment: "For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ???internationalists??? and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure ??? one world, if you will. If that???s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." David Rockefeller: Memoirs, pg. 405 (2002).

CO2 is neccessary for life, you cant say something we exhale and plants breath is a poisonous toxin, whats next, saying we get taxed on each breath? Or trying to say dihydrogen monoxide is a deadly poison to be regulated?

Comment: I hear that Brown's Gas can be both lethal and effective. Maybe this has something to do with
Rupert Murdoch speaking of the US being carbon-neutral by 2010.

Comment: This article appears to be an attempt to get the Rockefeller family off the hook for any responsibility for the actions of the corporation they principally own. The idea that they can be "brushed-off" when they make suggestions about management of the corporation is laughable. Exxon-Mobil needs to get on board with the new, more user-friendly fuel technologies coming down the road or be left behind in the dust when the fuel switchover to synfuels, ethanol from non-food biomass and biodiesel take over the fuels marketplace that has previously so abused its consumer base recently.
