Comment: I have been blessed to have seen 5 tigers in Ranthambore National Park. So sad that humans cannot appreciate and preserve the diversity in nature. A live tiger is far more precious than a dead one....if only the natives would realize that they can earn an income from a live tiger with tourists coming to see it, for a far longer time than one earned with tiger parts. Human don't deserve to live on this planet.....

Comment: The planet can only support so many people, our ignorance and greed will eventually drive us to the same fate we have imposed on the plant and animal life.

Comment: Conservation fails because conservations fail to take into account the needs of the nation they want to protect these animals. When your family is starving, it's not a difficult choice of whether or not to save an animal or yourself. Had conservationists followed selfish economic principles, rather than expecting everyone to make sacrifices, these animals would still be here.

Comment: I am not suprised like ZW01 is because I have known for a long time that as long as people like Silentmajority exist, we will have a very difficult time saving our planet from the selfish people. I hope these people go extinct before the tiger does.

Comment: Some of these comments are simply crazy. They are made by ignorant people who care only about themselves.

Comment: Human skin is incredibly supple and would out rate any leather upholstery on the market today. Recently I???ve heard of a study where it has been found that ground human bone and liver are an excellent restorative for the digestive tracts of various kinds of dogs! I think that sounds like a good enough reason to do away with your life Silentmajority; I could definitely appriciate your caveman viewpoint if your hide was on my footstool.

Comment: I am quite surprised by the ignorance of the first three comments. Extinction is not a hoax, and we are in the midst a great extinction spasm caused by human behavior. And since the human population is exploding, I'm not sure how Mwanga's statement is that "they ate us to extinction." Humans have proven quite well that with their guns and technology they have the power to destroy most species with which we share the planet. The little black sambo comment is just more smug irreverence typical of internet banter. Human hubris coupled with indifference towards the natural world will lead us to a world covered by concrete and mined for every last resource. But if we don't realize we too are an interdependent species, that world will not be able to sustain human populations.

Comment: Tiget skin is wonderful as a carpet; tiger bones work like miracle as medeicine. Trying to save tigers at all costs is sucking enviromentalits' hoax.

Comment: They ate us to extinction few tens of thousand years ago. Had not a few people run away from Africa to cold regions free of those cats we would not be talking about Internet and the Intrenational Spece Station. A break was needed to think about something else than escaping the cats. I do not care if they are facing a similar fate s the dinausors. Maybe we should forgive them.
