According to an article in the LA Times, even though Illinois ethics disclosure forms are designed to reveal possible financial conflicts by lawmakers, on disclosure forms for 2001 and 2002, Obama did not specify that the company involved (EKI) provided him with the bulk of the private-sector compensation he received. Instead, as was his custom, he attached a multi-page list of all the law firm's clients, which included EKI among hundreds. Illinois law does not require more specific disclosure.
Stanley Brand, a Washington lawyer who counsels members of Congress and others on ethics rules, said he would have advised a lawmaker in Obama's circumstances to separately disclose such a singularly important client and not simply include it on a list of hundreds of firm clients, even if the law does not explicitly require it. "I would say you should disclose that to protect and insulate yourself against the charge that you are concealing it," Brand said.
Obama's tax returns show that he made no money from his law practice in 2000, the year of his unsuccessful run for a congressional seat. But that changed in 2001, when Obama reported $98,158 income for providing legal services. Of that, $80,000 was from Blackwell's company.
In 2002, the state senator reported $34,491 from legal services and speeches. Of that, $32,000 came from the EKI legal assignment, which ended in April 2002 by mutual agreement, as Obama ceased the practice of law and looked ahead to the possibility of running for the U.S. Senate. .
Obama's spokesman said that listing all clients was appropriate and that doing so allowed the public to see any and all potential conflicts for Obama and his law firm colleagues. A few months after receiving his final payment from Blackwell's company, EKI, Obama sent a request on state Senate letterhead urging Illinois officials to provide a $50,000 tourism promotion grant to another Blackwell company, Killerspin.
Though Obama's formal efforts consisted of writing a letter and a proclamation, the nitty-gritty of obtaining state grants fell to a former state Senate and campaign aide to Obama, Dan Shomon.
Shomon, working part time for Obama's campaign and for Killerspin, helped prepare Killerspin's initial grant application in 2002. Still working part time with Obama, Shomon helped Killerspin secure a $200,000 grant for its 2003 tournament and a $100,000 grant for its 2004 tournament.

Campaign finance laws in Illinois have aided and abetted influence
peddling schemes for years because they allow donors to give as much as
they like to candidates running for state office, so the skyâ??s the
limit....
A trial exhibit produced by an FBI agent, identifies major contributors
who donated $1.43 million to Blagojevich between 2001 and 2004. The
Chicago Sun-Times compared the exhibit to government campaign records on
Obama and found he received more than $220,000 from many of the same
donors between 2001 and 2004.
John Roger, the head of Ariel Capital, an investment firm that ended up
with major money from the pension funds, is on the FBIâ??s summary of
Blagojevichâ??s top contributors. He also gave Obama $25,000.
Rogers is a member of the finance committee for Obamaâ??s presidential
campaign. Rogers also served on the campaign finance committee for
Obamaâ??s US Senate run with Tony and Rita Rezko, Allison Davis, and Myron
â??Mikeâ?? Cherry....
Comment: On April 22, 2007, the Tribune noted that City Hall records show
Michelle Obama began work as a $60,000-a-year mayoral assistant to
Richard Daley in September of 1991.
At City Hall, Michelle formed close friendships with Valerie Jarrett,
and many other top Daley aides, including former Corporation Counsel
Susan Sher and David Mosena, who was the mayor's chief of staff when
Michelle first joined his administration.
â??All have long since left the city payroll,â?? the Tribune wrote,
â??but are
loyal to the mayor and now the Obamas.â??
On June 13, 2006, Michelleâ??s employer, the University of Chicago
announced that, "Valerie Jarrett has been appointed as the new Chair of
the University of Chicago Medical Center Board and also Chair of a newly
created Executive Committee of that board. She has also been named
Vice-Chair of the University's Board of Trustees."
According to the announcement, Jarrett "served for eight years in City
of Chicago government posts, first as Deputy Corporation Counsel for
Finance and Development, then as Deputy Chief of Staff for Mayor Richard
Daley in 1991," and, "as Commissioner of the Department of Planning and
Development from 1992 through 1995."
Jarrett served on Obamaâ??s US Senate campaign finance committee and
serves on Obamaâ??s presidential campaign finance committee along with
Alex Giannoulias and Mayor Daleyâ??s brother Bill.
The political mafia of Illinois now plans to move the Chicago brand of
corruption to Washington in a U-Haul hooked up to their second choice
candidate. Americans will never allow it to happen. They will either
vote for McCain or not at all.
If Obama becomes the nominee, the Republicans will unleash a non-stop
expose of Obama in the mainstream media that will make the swift boat
attacks against John Kerry seem trivial. Only this time, they won't have
to make lies because the truth will be on their side.
The tracking of the subplots that developed as a result of the Board
Games investigation, has revealed a spider-web of corruption that spread
from the Chicago Loop to O'Hare Airport to the Illinois Tollway, all the
way to bid-rigging in Iraq, with Iraqi-born billionaire, Nadhmi Auchi,
owner of General Mediterranean Holdings, a Luxemburg-based conglomerate
with investments all over the world in everything from defense
contractors to pharmaceuticals, at the center of many schemes.
Comment: Suspending the gas tax would save over four and a half a billion dollars in trucking costs a year for manufactured goods, or more than a billion for the three months it is proposed. The Clinton proposal translates not only into savings on the cost of gas for consumers, but on the cost of everything being transported to the market where we buy it.
In a period of recession which threatens to get worse, making it possible for consumers to go on vacations, and helping American businesses cut costs so they can continue to employ their workers makes sense to me, especially if there is no loss to the highway trust fund.
Comment: We wouldn't have this division in the Democratic party if the DNC applied its rules fairly.
Rule 11.A specifically set the date for the primaries & caucuses for those three states as "no earlier than 22 days before the first Tuesday in February" (Iowa), "no earlier than 14 days before the first Tuesday in February" (New Hampshire), and "no earlier than 7 days before the first Tuesday in February" (South Carolina).
Iowa held their caucuses on January 3rd. That's more than 22 days before the first Tuesday in February. New Hampshire held their primary on January 8th. That's more than 17 days before the first Tuesday in February. And South Carolina held their primary on January 26th. That's more than 7 days before the first Tuesday in February.
Under Rule 11.A., five states were in violation of the Democratic National Committee's Delegate Selection Rules, and as such, all five states should have been punished under Rule 20.C.1.a.
Violation of timing: In the event the Delegate Selection Plan of a state party provides or permits a meeting, caucus, convention or primary which constitutes the first determining stage in the presidential nominating process to be held prior to or after the dates for the state as provided in Rule 11 of these rules, or in the event a state holds such a meeting, caucus, convention or primary prior to or after such dates, the number of pledged delegates elected in each category allocated to the state pursuant to the Call for the National Convention shall be reduced by fifty (50%) percent, and the number of alternates shall also be reduced by fifty (50%) percent. In addition, none of the members of the Democratic National Committee and no other unpledged delegate allocated pursuant to Rule 8.A. from that state shall be permitted to vote as members of the state's delegation. In determining the actual number of delegates or alternates by which the state's delegation is to be reduced, any fraction below .5 shall be rounded down to the nearest whole number, and any fraction of .5 or greater shall be rounded up to the next nearest whole number.
The DNC has alreadly decided not to apply the half delegate penalty to Iowa, SC and NH, so there is no reason to apply it to FL and MI either, and there is absolutely no reason to take away all of the FL and MI delegates.
What this is is blatant sex discrimination. They would never apply the rules differently to disadvantage a black man, but the DNC not only ignores their own pre-established penalty but goes further, all to keep Hillary from winning the nomination.
The DNC will destroy the democratic party if it does not apply the same rule to all of the states.
Count all the votes, seat all the delegates.

To didectly answer, you service question I will do in two parts.
1. I'm not asking, no demanding that people DIE FOR ME, with my vote. I understand the epic importance the this election holds, as two of the "candidates" want "WAR MORE YEARS"...listen to their words. Now as I am not asking that nobopdy dies for..OIL, adn infact SHOUT OUT, BRING THEM HOME!! (including my son). It does not matter if I have served.
2. No, due to a patella issue, I was not able to join. However, My entire family has or is. All the way back to WWII, where my Grandfather recieved 2 purple hearts, 2 bronze stars and 1 silver star, to now with my son in Iraq, my cousin, was also there, when his transport was hit by and IED (he survived). I thnik I've got some background and some insite. My family has seerved in every war, police action, skirmish, and occuption, legal or not since WWII, my great uncle was in the FBI, I am a former Police Officer, anymore questions?
