    Comment: Mr. Alter,

The media's clarion call that it's done with a statistical dead heat between the three prospective contenders for the White House, seems too early to toss FL and MI voters out to sea. CA, FL, MI, PA, OH, MA, NY are a must........and, although I LIKE Obama, he hasn't won the most critical blue states...That's one robust reason to continue this democratic process.

Despite MILLIONS of supporters, Hillary Rodham Clinton has been vehemently vilified because it remains socially acceptable to be sexist. Corporate men dominate the airwaves; these men have held the keys to success, and invariably, they oversee most election coverage (Philadelphia Inquirer).

"Media news people, frequently operating with complete integrity and goodwill, are able to [CONVINCE} themselves that they choose and interpret the news "objectively" and on the basis of professional news values....[Not in this scenario, however.] Voter attention is focused on style and personality ("Yes We Can") --anything but the issues that are of primary concern to the concentrated private power centers that largely finance campaigns and run the government" (Noam Chomsky, Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

Women in the media, too, have been lulled into tolerating it because it is difficult to stand up to SEXISM at the risk of losing their paychecks. It's blatant that women in the media see the disparate treatment of HRC, but have convinced the masses that this pugilist is a pariah.

Without an NIE report read, Senator Obama touts his sound decision-making (as a State Senator) for opposing the War in Iraq. With hindsight, unbeknownst to him, there were no weapons of mass destruction. His argument that he made the right choice is a fallacy: he didn't make any such decision as a U.S. Senator with the emotions of September 11th still riding high and our response to maintain strong national security. Albeit, none of these assertions are earth-moving or original arguments; what is important here is to remind voters that he does not command a bastion of foreign policy knowledge nor does his redundant, "I voted against the war" a viable argument to support his candidacy.

Unfortunately, those who purport that the frontrunner will unite people have already demonstrated that the frontrunner will unite NO one except perhaps the myopic misanthropists, who, most likely, come January 2009, will be in a seething cauldron of woeful, broken promises teeming with scintillating rhetoric.

Comment: Clinton had the frontrunner status, the most money, the Clinton brand, a battle tested political machine in place, the best advisors money could buy, and THREE Clintons on the campaign trail. Her campaign made critical errors that, regardless of who actually made them, falls back on the candidate herself. She was not ready for Obama while he ran an outstanding campaign and whooped her, plain and simple.

Comment: What happened in WV is a demonstration of loyalty to name (the Clintons), and it was not something backed by wisdom and common sense. We will see what WV will do come November as Obama will be the nominee (which nobody can dispute). Shame on WV. Why would you follow the corpse to the grave?

Comment: H.C is the new Democratic Mike Huckabee of the party..... :-)

my Dear Rock ( sweet pants)
i have a high G.P.A, (however, i dont understand (logically) why any poor person would vote Repblican?
if you are capable of explaining this too me by all means do so... here is a note to all spanish speacking folks in the U.S. Mccain senator of Arizona has held strong on fining employers that hire illegals & rent to illegals .. therefore, illegals are flooding Cali ( because CA. is nicer to illegal immigrants)......... Note to women Democrats "White" she is still losing .... Note to college grads " Congradulations" we have work to do... Note to Rich Democrats "Elitist" thanks for being a Democrat.. Note to Blacks she won a white state..
Note to Liberals culm down with the Gloating... Note to conservative Democrats the Liberals won... Note to Repblicans " you should be a little worried this fall since the economy is shameless" & our dollar is weak. Note to Independants pick & choose the candidates wisely... & finaly note to H.C. supporters that blog game over either be pi$$ed off or stay a democrat...

Comment: YOu silly, those antiillegal laws of Arizona are comparitively new and probably McCaine never had chance to meddle with those. . and by the way you write you can say bye bye to your high GPA. But of course looks like you have some fans, like Alvy boy who cries he wants Obama toy only, not real men like Powell or strong women like Rice. People outside the "community' should not talk about which other Black candidate will be a good VP or even future President, Vow!! Very touchy!!

    • Posted By: Alvy @ 05/14/2008 11:50:00

      Comment: Pretty good glimpsy;

I think the gloating part is the most correct. That, coupled with calling on college grads to change the status quo was great. I thought in the beginning, Hills would be another person to take over the reins and change the norm like her husband did.

      She may have.

But I'm pretty okay with Obama too because you get the feel that things will be different for the economy.
But asking the rabid 'Kill for Hills' bloggers to stay with the DNC ideal is stupid. I think they're quitters or uninformed about other facets and cultures in life. Not necessarily bigoted, but afraid to believe in or trust something else - I think it moves them to a feeling of losing control. I don't know.

How many have said: Yeah I understand black people, and they should...

Not very bright or informed. Then you have the Powell or MLK excuses, maybe with a Rice thrown in to completely convince themselves that they're "one with the diverse" community. It's useless. They have to fade away, and the youth need their own. Times up for them. They had the ball and fumbled for 4 decades.

    • Posted By: Debunked @ 05/14/2008 11:06:53

Comment: Glimps, there is no need to be cynical! The overall outlook for Obama look good so you should be in good spirits!

But I do feel the need to correct you on one thing------THERE IS NO WAY you can compare Clinton to Huckabee! Clinton is a VIABLE candidate and she has a STRONG support base! Just look at the overall voters who voted for her and look at the overall voters who voted for Huckabee, there is absolutely NO comparison! Clinton is a force to be reckoned with and if her party don't start treating her right, they will see their best shot run independent OR if she decides not to run independent, they will see MOST of her supporters support one of the other candidates, probably John McCain. Without Hillary supporters, the Democrats can not and will not win!

So the DNC may want to make their decisions wisely--------although the committee and superdelegates will make the decisions in regards to the Democratic Party, Hillary and her supporters are in control of the game. If we walk, the Democratic Party is weak!

They treated Clinton like dirt and conspired against her---BIG MISTAKE! Tthe Democratic Party will soon see "their chickens coming home to roost" if they don't do right by Clinton and her supporters.

      Kharma is something, ain't it?!

Clinton touts support from 'white Americans'
    Posted: 12:03 PM ET

    Clinton campaigned in Washington Thursday.
(CNN) ??? In what appear to be the New York senator's most blunt comments to date regarding a racial division in the Democratic presidential race, Hillary Clinton suggested Wednesday that "White Americans" are increasingly turning away from Barack Obama???s candidacy.

"I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on," Clinton said in an interview with USA TODAY.

Clinton cited an Associated Press poll "that found how Senator Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me."

"There's a pattern emerging here," she said.

Exit polls from Tuesday's primaries in Indiana and North Carolina show Clinton won about 60 percent of the white vote in both states. That percentage is down from the Ohio primary on March 4, in which Clinton won upwards of 65 percent of the white vote. Meanwhile, Clinton garnered 63 percent of the white vote in Pennsylvania on April 22.

Speaking with the paper, Clinton rejected the notion her comments were racially divisive in any way.

"These are the people you have to win if you're a Democrat in sufficient numbers to actually win the election," she said. "Everybody knows that."

Obama spokesman Bill Burton called Clinton's statements "not true and frankly disappointing."

Comment: America is not going to be the laughing stock of the world for another eight years. This is not a dynastic kingdom where the Bushes are replacing the Clintons then the Clintons come back to replace the Bushes. Are we going to have the same two families ruling America for nearly 30 years? What is wrong with us ?
Has anyone thought about it ? McCain is a solid choice but he is coming too late in the game ( too old , and too late I am sorry dear John). Barack Obama is the only viable choice at this point and the only candidate that has the talent, the experience, the popularity, the education , the worlwide respect needed to bring us back to the respectability and prestige America has enjoyed for the last 200 years or so and that Bush has managed to squander in less than 8 years. Bush has spoiled the work of all his predecessors and all the patriotic Americans who made this country great and amired the world over... He should be put on trial for high treason and other crimes. He is a despote, a coward and a disgrace to America.

Hilary Clinton is a joke so is Bill at this point. He was once a great president now he is just flat out a joker in his wife's presidential bid. it is a pity to see him so fallen from grace... Presiden Hilary .Clinton will make America look like a banana republic where they have a husband president then his wife becomes president too!!!. This is the United States of America not some kind of third world banana republic.

How many presidents should we have between a husband and a wife ? I think one is one too many now two ? Please guys , there are nearly 300 millions other Americans ready and able to be president.

Her husband was president does not mean she has to become president too ! What is it a marriage pact ? If that is the case who is being played? the American people and our Country ? I say no to Hilary's bid for the presidency on these grounds regardless of whatever she brings to the table. THIS IS NOT AND WILL NOT BECOME A BANANA REPUBLIC of Bill and Hilary Clinton. The choice is clear as crystal to me BARACK OBAMA the real alternative. or McCain to a lesser degree for reasons given above. McCain also wants to keep fighting in Iraq for another 50-100 years ? he just doesn not get it. He gets his reality and facts all wrong. He is just too in line with Bush the disaster Texan. Has anyone noticed that since BUsh became president, nothing good or ggrea has happened in this country ? it has been one disaster after another, one calamity after another, one bad news after another just like that for eight years... he should not have been president in the first place... Wait if Hilary becomes President what will happen will be even worse. She is going to be another disaster president . We just cannot afford another 8 years of calamities and disasters.

Obama is not a Muslim, and even if he was, you either believe in the Constitution and each and every American's right to practice the religion of their choosing or not. You can't have it both ways. You can't say that you're a good, patriotic American and not uphold the simple rights spelled out in the US Constitution. It seems to me that too much death and destruction has occurred throughout history at the hands of "decent, God-fearing Christians" claiming to be doing God's work, but only achieving their own goals and hidden agendas. Not all Muslims are radicals, just like all Christians aren't radicals. Stop spreading lies and hatred.

Over the next few months, folks will begin showing their true colors and real feelings about the candidates. Unfortunately, I am not surprised. It was only a matter of time before the prejudiced/stereotypical language began. It's only going to get worse as a candidate gets closer to victory. Maintain your poise guys.

We will soon see the truth behind why SOME people vote the way they do. I truly believe, MOST people vote with thier hearts.....policies are just veils to hide behind.

Comment: If Hillary Clinton (the Clintons) becomes the Democratic nominee, the American people simply will not have a good choice in November. The policies, positions and programs offered by her and Barack Obama, for all practical purposes, are not significantly different and their contrasts with John McCain???s positions are near identical. Where there is remarkable difference is in their personalities and in the hope offered for getting things done to benefit other than Special Interests and a select few and to have other than more Washington as usual. Hillary (and Bill too) has demonstrated throughout this campaign and her career a propensity to say/do anything that she feels will benefit her, without conscience, guilt, apology or hesitation. She has been aggressive, arrogant, dishonest, self-focused, belligerent and ready to offer anything at any time, whether factual or not, whether quality or not. She attempts to present all of this as being strong, as being a fighter but it is simply divisive and, as shown throughout her career, it really handicaps her in getting things done. Much like George W. Bush, Hillary exhibits a strong, sociopathic personality that says everything is about her and, as we have seen, that is nothing but trouble. Should Hillary Clinton get the nomination then the choice in November will be to continue with more of the same GWBush policies (McCain) or more of the self-centered GWBush style personality (Clinton). Really not much of a choice!

Comment: We Clinton supporters need to contact our Congressmen and US Senators and Howard Dean and insist on Michigan and Florida delegates being seated fairly. No 50/50 split which would cancel Hillary???s legitimate wins.

It is ridiculous for Obama supporters to insist that the "voters" in those states DESERVE to lose their voice because the State Party Organizations broke some rules. When did any of us get to decide when or how we vote in primaries or in the general? Get Real...the voters are always innocent bystanders.

Florida can be counted ???as is" since Obama and Clinton were on the ballot and no one was favored.

Michigan needs a revote and since they are going to vote on statewide measures on Aug 5th, there is NO REASON why they can't choose between Clinton and Obama at the same time.

Right now, it is Obama and his supporters who are blocking any Michigan revote or Florida seating for that matter.

WE VOTERS need to write Howard Dean and our state superdelegates and convince them that we WILL NOT STAND for the contest to be stacked in favor of Obama because "his supporters might get upset". Hillary's supporters WILL GET UPSET as well if she doesn't get a fair shake and that includes the votes she got from Michigan and Florida. (The media and Howard Dean act as if Obama, by virtue of being black, has a higher claim than Hillary. Listen and you will hear this outrageous bias everywhere.)

If Obama gets his way, it will be all of us who lose since he will have NO chance in November without the support of Michigander and Floridian voters as well as angry voters such as me. We must promise retribution if Howard Dean and the credentials committee refuse to play fair.

Write congress.org and Howard Dean at [www.democrats.org].

Do this today and pass it on please. Time is running out and the Credentials Committee is meeting at the end of May.

Comment: I would think, in general, it would be WISE for us to PRAY that Obama stays AWAY from crack and having sex with men in limos...McCain is in EXCELLENT condition and is hiking the Grand Canyon this summer with his sons...His mother is 95 and still drives, in fact get speeding tickets...cause she so busy and has such an active life...Obama is in the TRASH...GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Let's hope he stops being a cartoon bigot.
Next week he'll say: Who me a bigot? - after writing two non-bigoted words. Typical trash personality. You would think one day idiots like him would judge people by how hard they try, and by how much they are willing to share and give of themselves. This idiot thinks he's a caring man.

        That's the problem.

Really bad and uninformed upbringing the old school way.

Comment: Alvy & Pia - Hey guys, get used to these types of comments by folks like Army4RangeR.
