Comment: Duckbills ''explosion of disorder''will occur even without a US invasion,when,not if,Iran gets its nukes,Even an Obama or Clinton will be forced to gather in Middle Eastern nations under a nuclear defense umbrella,forcing Iran into the new Soviet orbit which will back Tehran,and isolate itself from the Americans. A flood of Russian and Chinese-made armaments will strengthen Iran to the point of seeking regional mastery,which will be unacceptable to even a Democrat president. Of course,the idea that Bush was going to ''invade''Iran was always a lie peddled by the usual suspects in the paranoid media. Issikoff and Hosenball,for many years,have kept the pot simmering over on NEWSWEEKS end along with Hirsh. Sy Hersh,over at the NEW YORKER when he famously claimed that we would be at war with Iran by....September,2006... Leftists Finkelstein and Chomskey,also pushed the ''Iran invasion'' hysteria which was duly cranked out by Soros' minions at MOVEON and the Kossacks over at DAILY KOS. The flavour of the month is A War With Iran. Those such as Issikoff,Hersh,Hirsh,Thomas,Dowd,and others already working for the Obama administration as propaganda ministers without-portfolio,will keep the heat on in order to ensure that Iran is allowed to go its way,ICBMs and all,when they will have something new to write about .

Comment: Let us hope this is not an indicator of an attack on Iran. This administration is looking for an excuse, real or government made, to attack Iran before Bush leaves office. This will be a disaster for America and Iran as well as a possilbe explosion of disorder across the Mideast.

A) The President of the United States of America can not declare war.
B) In January President Bush must leave office.
C) The President of the United States can not change the Constitution of the United States of America.

All three of which are covered very directly in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Comment: MacLean: I agree. One would think that the ''Iranians''wanted nothing to do with the CIA,as they can still recall how that all turned out with their installation of the Shah. Then too,the CIA is a leaky boat. They were ''kept out''because the news,down to the most minute detail,would have been on the front pages of the NY Times by next days breakfast. Obviously,this is also more ''he-said/he said''with the writers working the nefarious ''Iran-contra''angle,and elevating Tenet back up on a pedestal again,after both Hosenball and Issikoff devoted a large portion of their journalistic lives trying to knock him off.

Comment: I'm sorry - is there a story here?

Are we to assume that the CIA is the only agency capable of talking to less-than-desirable types and learning useful information from them? The CIA doesn't have a particulary sterling record of sorting reliable information from unreliable information, particularly in the early years of this decade.

And the CIA has enough of their own problems with keeping secrets that should have been shared in a timely manner to be pointing fingers at any other intelligence agency - "intelligence" being a comparative sort of word.

Obviously, the CIA, Pentagon, Defense Department and State Department have all been culpable in this mess, and all have ties going back to failed policies under Reagan and Nixon - one more reason that all of these cold-war mentality folks need to retire; they just keep recycling the same old turf wars, the same old incompetence, and the same old results

That is the real story here.
