The Wii Fit Workout
One of the greatest virtues of Wii Fit is that it encourages you to try a broad range of exercises that you might not try otherwise. At the gym, it's easy to get stuck in a regimen of Stairmaster and weights, or the recumbent bike and treadmill. With Wii Fit, you'll want to sample all four types of training, getting a well-rounded workout. The games are especially fun, including the hula hoop and soccer. And though Wii Fit is no substitute for a workout with a trainer, it certainly beats sitting at the computer and exercising your index finger.
Is it for everyone? No. Anyone with a serious workout regimen can pass Go and keep their $90. Nor is it the way to develop a dedicated yoga practice. On the other hand, it could just be the gateway exercise program that a lot of us need to get up and get moving. By the end of a 30-minute workout, I feel the effects, but the sensation is great. In fact, I'm feeling so good, I just might go to the gym.

Comment: The WII fit calls it like it sees it. Your child must be overweight. Why don't you encourage her to loose weight instead of hiding behind words you don't like?

Comment: I love the WII fit!! I have bad knees and can't use most of the machines at a gym so it is not worth joining. The WII Fit enables me to move around a lot more than I did when I did not have it. It may not be everything some people are looking for but I sure am sweating when I am done the games I can play. And that may be the key to my wanting to keep doing this, I see it as a game that is fun and challenging!! Way to go Nintendo

Comment: I personally work out at the gym 3-5 days a week, and I also go for walks with my dogs and bike rides on near by trails. Also with my work (as a waitress and warehouse worker) I move around a lot. However, i admit, there are a couple days where i just want to stay home and relax, or maybe have a little fun with my friends....that's where the Wii Fit comes in. It's super fun. And with all the cardio and weight training i've done at the gym, none can compare to the strength training and yoga exercises. I personally felt more of a benefit from these exercises. No, I'm not going to use it as my only form of physical activity, but just something to add on to it to benefit my health in a really fun way! Oh, and one more thing! Some of these games are absolutely hysterical when you play with friends :D
definately worth the money!
