    McCain is a good guy however he promotes misguided policies. THE BIGGEST BEING THE IRAQ WAR.
    JUST LIKE HILLARY HE JUST DOESN"T GET IT. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT OUT OF IRAQ. THE IRAQ WAR IS WHAT GAVE OBAMA A VICTORY IN IOWA. McCAIN is going to get SMOKED in this election unless he changes his stance on IRAQ.

    There is this argument out there that I hear our troops repeating over and over agian. WE CANNOT LEAVE UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE WE CANNOT LET OUR BROTHERS DIE IN VAIN.

    NOW THAT IS REAL BUL****. THAT STATEMENT IS GOVERNMENT IDEOLOGY AND NOT MILITARY IDEOLOGY.

    COLIN POWELL SAID IT BEST. DEFINE YOUR MISSION CLEARLY SET YOUR OBJECTIVES AND USE OVERWHELMING FORCE AKA SHOCK AND AWE to accomplish your mission.

    WE HAVE NO CLEAR AGENDA and NO CLEAR OBJECTIVES. WE ARE NOT SURE. SO HOW ON EARTH CAN WE JUSTIFY THE LOSS OF MORE AMERICAN LIVES. AS LONG AS WE STAY IN IRAQ YOUNG AMERICANS WILL CONTINUE TO DIE IN VAIN. WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE MADE OUR POINT VERY CLEAR. WE ARE SICK OF IRAQ AND WE ARE SICK OF OUR DEPENDENCY ON MIDDLE EASTERN OIL.

    OBAMA WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

    THE LAST FALLACY I WANT TO ADDRESS IS THAT THE SURGE IS WORKING.

    THIS ARGUMENT IS SO CRAZY THAT IT IS HARD TO EXPLAIN.

    SURGE means temporary. OUR TROOPS PRESENCE IN THAT COUNTRY OF IRAQ IS THE MAIN REASON FUNDAMENTALIST HAVE FOR ATTACKING US.

    WE NEED A PRESIDENT THAT WILL DO WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA NOT WHAT IS BEST FOR IRAQ.

    THE LATEST FALLACY IS THAT WE SHOULD STAY UNTIL WE WIN. WE HAVE ALREADY LOST.ESPECIALLY THE AMERICAN TAX PAYER and those poor AMERICAN SOLDIERS WHO LOST THEIR LIFE FOR NO LEGITIMATE REASON. THE BLIND JUST CANNOT SEE THAT.

    THERE IS ONE CLEAR WINNER IN THIS WAR, HALLIBURTON AND OTHER PRIVATE CONTRACT FIRMS WHO FUNNELED BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, WITH THE HELP OF DICK CHENEY, FROM THE AMERICAN TAX PAYER.

    I think Senator Biden is his guy,Obama wants someone who will tell him like it is...Biden has the experience Obama needs,Biden says what he thinks. I think he has a wealth of knowledge in foreign affairs. Obama said he'd need to think of someone who could step in.....Biden is my choice all the way.

    Obama promised the american people he will adhere to public financing to support the idea that special interest groups should not have the power to buy elections.....however, he now opted for the very special interest group money that the public financing system was meant to minimize. The idea that Obama's money came from small donations is a smoke screen....imagine this scenario....if a special interest group wants to funnel a few millions to the Obama campaign..and lets say that special interest group is moveon.org.............can they do it via many multiple donations of 100 to 2300 dollars each? The answer is yes....its not rocket science folks! The man who is running on new and change is embracing the worst and most tainted side of politics and that is to choose money over integrity....win at all cost over principles and reform. Obama is not new and different....but is just another mediocre politician re-packaged in a manufactured image of new and different. Vote for Integrity...Vote for Bi-partisanship....Vote for convictions....Vote for character....Vote for Mccain 2008.

    5. Too Progressive views / ideologies, traditional values ultimately go out the door
    6. Higher cost for Kool-Aid and Carrots to dangle to maintain control of the base

    A VOTE 4 MC CAIN MEANS:

    1. Lower Taxes or Same level taxes.
    2. Good ol' Traditional Values
    3. Significant Investment in Green Technology to combat Geo-Climate Change

        I agree to some extent. That is why I think that Obama might have set too high of a goal in his approach to changing Washington cuz the people he needs that are political smart/suave are the very ones he needs but given his goal needs to avoid, like this Washington insider, Jim A. Johnson.

          You know if he and then any of his supporters could at least admit to the fact that Obama made acquaintenaces, friends, or spiritual advisors ("adopted uncles') and kept those relationships going to benefit his cllimb up the ladder in the political arena I could at least look at him being politically suave in doing what he has done; but to deny any close kinships with alot of these controversial relationships to the degree that he has kept going over the years and not admitting to it makes matters worse in my mind. Those are my initial thoughs on all that anyways.

    Edwards would also be great - I'd like to see more of him. He's smart and dynamic and I bet he would attract a lot of the male voters who are independents or even Republicans dissatisfied w/ Bush/GOP.

    I cannot imagine why anyone would vote for McCain unless they were just totally reactionary, conservative and afraid of change - or phobic about a Liberal/Dem or BiRacial President. I'm so disappointed that the USA is the ONLY country in the WORLD who has any sort of confidence in McCain. Nobody else thinks he can hold a candle to Obama - except our ostriches with their heads in the sand, still convinced America is the "greatest country on earth" and that we're the most advanced economically. We are fast slipping to second or third (or even 19th or 39th place) in a lot of areas... education, health care system, economy, etc... all failing us - oh, and our infrastructure is crumbling in many of our major cities.

    Don't vote for a conservative, no matter how "progressive" he poses himself to be. They are total losers.

    Gore would be a great addition to the ticket - with 8 years' prior experience as VP, he would give the role new meaning and serve as a global ambassador for many causes, not least of which is global climate change and energy crisis (they're interconnected). Gore would be a heavy-weight in terms of policy change and intellectual power - and he woud easily lend credibility to the team. But would he want to be VP again? I doubt it... Maybe...

    Interesting article... can't wait to see who Obama picks. McCain will have to really do something special for his own VP if he is to compete with Obama. McCain is so old, I'm surprised he's even bothering to run. I saw him in that ad with his mother, and she looked like she should be his wife - they both looked about the same age.

          Deafpunk is just ANOTHER newbie blogger with the same agenda - Convince people who hate war that it's okay to vote Mc. The posts about his plan for the economy, the war, gas and education are obscene. He doesn't even have an education plan. Obama passed five bills with regard to education - and one law.

          This guy has been hiding his war and "D" transcripts for decades. If he needed an ally - he would need the guys he served with. Voting 95 with Bush - on top of knowing the war was rigged - is preposterous.       Oh Glimps - as always, so confused. Dreffein is a she, not he. And I've stated numerous times that I will never vote McCain. What I have said is that I will either not vote for President or write in (likely choice) Hillary Clinton. As to my friends, they're none of your business.

      Now then, go along and talk with Pia and T&O - who voted for GWB 2x. They're the REAL Democrats -LOL.

      P.S. I'm off to Vegas now (with a friend no less) and know that you and your friends will miss me and trash me while I'm gone. But will be back on Saturday to answer or straighten out anything I've missed. Talk to you then.

But in this day in age and with people having hacking capabilities on the Internet or access as Tech Support staff on the Newsweek staff, who knows what they can do. If I was such a supposed racist, supremist or whatever the O Team claims I am I would admit it and you would have seen postings of my blogs to so such hateful rantings. But that is not the case.         I've seen a bunch of republican bloggers "phishing" in this way on numerous sites. Politico, Slate, Newsweek, Washington Post, and even NYtimes.

        Think it through, what on earth do Obama's supporters have to gain by pissing off Clinton supporters? We aren't stupid, we know that we need EVERY democratic vote from everyone's supporters in November. Yes, everyone..Biden, Edwards, Hillary, Richardson, every vote matter to us.

        We're not apologizing for Obama's win, but I can't imagine that there are very many of us (I'd say any, but both sides have a few nuts) out there deliberately dissing Clinton or her supporters.
