Wonderful off the cuff speech RFK made after hearing the news the MLK was killed. Truly showed his heart and character which was forged by of a life of effort and great personal loss. There is no doubt that he would have been a great president and we would have been a better country. After living through Nixon and now Bush it shows that the country can withstand really poor presidents but it's just so rare that we are given a good one. Let's hope and pray that Obama gets his chance to lead us forward. He's a breathe of fresh air compared with the backward, simple minded thinking we have endured for the past 8 years. Onward and upward!

i have read several of your comments and i cannot believe there are so many people with their own one sided views. "can't we all just get along" i work as a surgical technologist the cardiac operating rooms. i have traveled all over the u. s., and the one thing i know is true when you cut through the very thin layer of skin that holds the color......every thing after that looks the same. when you open the chest and the heart is setting there exposed you cannot tell if it belongs to a woman or man, rich or poor, white, black, brown or yellow person. stop it stop it stop it

hey heart tech, when you open the chest of a professional politician, is the organ in question small, dark and kind of shrivelled-looking? i'd love to know!

WHAT IF barack Obama is the antichrist? why else would half the country stand there like bobbleheads and listen to a man insult them and totally agree with his views about America? We eat to much, we play to much, we this we that. you know what???? I work hard for what I have and giving 60 % of everything we earn to this Government will hopefully cause a revolution that is probably 100 years overdue. Its time we take America back from the very socialism we left behind in 1776. Long live King Obama. Have fun!

If Obama were the antichrist people like you, the Clintons--anyone who stood in his way--would be a pile of dirt!! Get serious--if Obama were the antichrist he would just TAKE what he wants and not work and campaign for it!!! THINK PEOPLE THINK!!

McCainSucksChit, people like you are exactly why I am scared of Obama. Besides, McCain is the best Democrate running. You vote for Obama, maybe you will pay tax increase for me? read up on the date 12/21/2012 hopefully it will all end on that day. I have faith in thre very God you people try to run out of our lives. Instead of In God We Trust you want it to be In Service We Trust. You sir are blinded by the Antichrist. Go read the Bible and buy a gun you will need it.

mccain is th best democrat running? are you even paying attention or ur really that busy preaching about god and the bible? i do believe in god...but i dont believe obama is the anti christ.. people are gettn ridiculous in this race. you should find better reasons to not want obama as president other than his race religion or him being the anti christ. get real! mccain btw is republican... there u learn something new every day right?

Scaredofobama..Didn't Bush say, "Yo Blair, how ya' doin" at the summit of the Group of Eight? What an idiot, right? I'm so glad you agree. I think your analogy stands true. I can't count how many times I've thought our current administration is being run by "kids, gangs, thugs, and people that have zero respect for anyone or anything. " Posting over and over isnt a sign of intelligence, but a cry for attention. For someone who speaks so much of "getting back to work", you seem to have a lot of free time on your hands. Stop attacking anyone who has a different opinion from you. Keep your intolerance to yourself like your mother should have taught you, and let the rest of the people say what they want.

I forgot to mention that YO is not a word in the english language. Thats a word used by kids, gangs, thugs, and people that have zero respect for anyone or anything.

    DUDE!

In consideration of the many resentful emails (probably masking inner hurt and disappointment) I have read thus far this morning, please be mindful of the unshakable immutable power contained in compassion, open mindfulness, cooperation, brotherhood, justice, and love. Listen to those qualities expressed in RFK's Indianapolis speach following the Martin Luther King assination and hear the power they bring forth as aknowledged in the Newsweek article that remembers "In the week that followed, there was rioting in more than 100 U.S. cities. But the inner City of Indianapolis was quiet".

Comment: scaredofobama, what kind of person would say that it would be a great day if they kill someone? I am not a fan of Senator Obama, but to wish that some harm comes to him, makes you the person that we should all be scared of.

The kind of person that says that ? Is the kind of person that sees this turban wearing muslim as an enemy of the Country I live in. Where my kids live, to say that, i wouldnt give any more concern about swattin a fly on my kitchen counter! thats who. this guy is the most liberal, dangerous man ever to run to become the most powerful man in the world. I would be extremely afraid and careful for what you people wish for. as far as tracking mu IP the dems say that illegal to spy, so im not worried. And I own this business, I am currently figuring out how to hire more LEGAL workers and keep the people that already have jobs here working. No thanks to our fair fair government. Im sick of this ***, you people are the problem certainly not the solution!

When I get to DC (every couple years) I make a point of going to Arlington. I visit JFKs grave and urinate on it, then I go to RFKs and urinate on it too. Why? JFKs presidency was a stolen one which resulted in sending the first American combat troops to Viet Nam which ultimatley resulted in the deaths of more than 50,000 young Americans. RFK was no better and rather than mourn his loss we should celebrate.

    • Posted By: rc-in-mo @ 06/05/2008 10:59:13 AM

You are a jerk!! Like Kennedy's or not but what you say you do is disgraceful and absolutely disrespectful!! I hope someone returns the favor someday!!

    • Posted By: concerned1967 @ 06/05/2008 10:05:50 AM

This guy needs to get his facts straight. Vietnam was well under way BEFORE JFK took office. As a matter of HISTORICAL FACT (somehting you know nothing about obviously) JFK had a plan to get us out of Vietnam. This plan was exactly how LBJ was able to get so many allies to aid in the murder of JFK. This was the only way such a bafoon could make it to president. Without the murder LBJ wouldn't qualify to be a dog warden!!!

  • Posted By: CraigC762 @ 06/05/2008 10:53:11 AM

I imagine that RFK is somewhere between JFK and TeddyK on the political spectrum, probably closer to JFK rather than Ted. JFK is about where Lieberman is now, and TeddyK, well, he's just slightly to the right of Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin.

He would have been a moderate, but the damage had already been done by LBJ and the Great Society plan he put into motion. His plans have kept many more blacks in the ghetto than have helped out of it.

Obama, on the other hand, is even further left than Teddy. Simpletons across the country have become enamored with his oratory skills and his deceptive message of "Change."

The United States is prosperous, stable and free, and Obama wants to change that.

  • Posted By: McCainSucksChit @ 06/05/2008 9:35:28 AM

LOL in God we trust. I suppose Christ is the only god out there. No one else's religion matters now does it? If youre so scared of OBama might be a good time to move out of the country to someplace safer. Genius you are!

Hey Barbara Sriesand SAID she'd move If Bush Won... Oh thank God!...Oh wait a minute,Never saw that happen!

What if Michael Jackson died at age 30?
A couple of decades of living can erase a lifetime of accomplishment. We would remeber him as the King of Pop, not the confused, weird-looking, NAMBLA jack-ass we know him to be.
A living example of a Kennedy "What If" is Ted Kennedy. What if he were struck and killed by a drunk driver in 1969? (what an irony)
He'd be viewed in entirely different light than he is now.
By the same reasoning as Evan's, what if Nixon were never elected?
One could also falsely argue that if he weren't, we'd still be in Vietnam.

    • Posted By: Believer in Truth @ 06/05/2008 10:50:21 AM

NAMBLA??? Are you referring to the North American Marlon Brando Look-alike Association or the other one?

  • Posted By: tptfilms @ 06/05/2008 10:50:19 AM

I didn't know Newsweek.com had so many racist meth users and operation K-K-Khaos dillweeds who were willing to post their "insights" while at work. You folks do realize your company can see what you write and others can track your IP address?

  • Posted By: scaredofobama @ 06/05/2008 10:44:07 AM

ya well if they kill obama it will be a great day, i believe he is SATAN so whatever! this thread is lame im out!

Screw Obama, screw his dumb ass wife and all of you that are in love with him!

Although this article touches base on some of the facts related to RFK,I would have to agree as many Americans already know what is considerd "The true reason for the murder of JFK." .Concerned 1967 hit the right target with the in your face statement he posted. The powers that be while JFK was in office knew that the President was set for change, somewhat from what is going on with Obama and his race for the position for the highest office in the land.. Sad that history almost always repeats itself, and although like RFK in many ways,Obama sets the tone for change during some painful episodes in U.S.History! America is ready for a new leader with the goel to set this country on the right track, for all, regardless of Race,Religion,or Political background.....I only hope within that wish, that there is never an episode like the Kennedy's have faced, and that maybe this time America will get it right!..........Respectfully Seen enough! 1957

yeah our taxes should go to that, but it doesnt. Just like the tobacco lawsuit settlements we were told by OUR CONGRESS would be used for programs to help stop smoking ???? Obviously you believe this crap, believe this my Raider fan....that money was spent on earmarks for bacon museums and new bridges to noplace. They will make 7 trillion on the Cap and Trade if that passes which it will if Obama gets into power because they .......... the Leftests will make him sign that. That money will be spent to make our world greener? lmao, have fun paying for that. How many Raiders games you think you will be able to afford to go to. Dumb ass students. grow the hell of sonny boy!

  • Posted By: deskboy @ 06/05/2008 10:36:47 AM

to raiderdan60, Our taxes do go to education, heathcare, infrastructure and keeping our country safe. THey do my friend and they are squandered especially on education. Bush rolled over and served it up on a platter to Teddy for education and to what end? Tax and spend that is all the government does. Where have you been?
