Oh, and by the way, quit whining!
Oh, and by the way, quit whining!
Why do women whine and men disagree? Shame on you. By the way, have you looked at the Clinton states electoral vote count versus Obama's? And think about the difference between caucus states and voteing primary states. Don't you think it odd that all the states Obama has won are caucus, but one? Now think about what demographics the caucuses favor. Caucuses are the least representative primaries of all. If Obama runs without Clinton, he will lose. Guaranteed. And his pastors have kindly made race an issue - whitey demonization. Get real. That church has been like that for 20 years, so what was he doing sitting there.
SENATOR CLINTON SUPPORTERS ARE FURIOUS WITH PELOSI, DEAN AND MAINSTREAM CABLE NEWS AS MILLIONS OF VOTERS HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THE BIASED MEDIA EXCUSING RACIST ATTACKS. I URGE ALL TO BOYCOTT CNN AND MSNBC FOR MANIPULATING THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION OF OUR TIME!!!!
WE DO NOT ACCEPT OBAMAS POLITICAL DAMAGE APOLOGY!!!
SHOCKING Obama words: what he really thinks of white folks

An Obama Presidency Will Set Race Relations Back Decades
Just this Sunday Father Michael Pfleger (a longtime friend and associate of Senator Obama) mocked Hillary Clinton & AGAIN ATTACKED WHTE PEOPLE at Obama's church OF 20 PLUS YEARS.
"theres a whole lot of white people crying!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H11x6bMu4Y
http://www.dontvoteobama.net
Given America's horrible racial history, please tell me why white people are always so shocked that they're not generally liked by the people they murdered and oppressed? I don't buy for a moment that you're worried about race relations being set back decades. I think what really worries you about an Obama presidency is that it will be successful, proving once and for all that blacks are just as qualified as whites to run the country. The fact that Fr. Pfleger is white and Catholic really freaked you out because someone who looks like you told the plain, unvarnished truth about Hillary and her crybaby campaign.
Now you're trying desperately to stir up white fear to try to stop the hemorrhaging of support for her by dredging up the specter of Rev. Wright redux. Once again, you're trying to crucify a man with a 30-second sound byte whose only real crime was that he told the truth about a cruel, vicious and selfish woman.
For the record, Fr. Pfleger is ALSO a fierce advocate in Chicago's battle to stop the gun violence that is taking the lives of children in this city. We're losing on average one child a week to shootings, very often on school property. Not that you care because he said mean things about Hillary Clinton, but Fr. Pfleger is a bright light in our community who is struggling to get assault weapons banned and to keep the guns out of the hands of children. He comforts and counsels mothers who've lost children, sometimes two and three years old, to gun violence.
His efforts on behalf of race relations in a single day outweigh anything you are likely to ever do in your entire life. So please, stop trying to malign a good man because he took off the kid gloves and told the truth about Hillary Clinton's racist proclivities. I wish Fr. Pfleger all the best, and hope he will keep up the good work.
And by the way, the video was FUNNY AS HELL!!! It was also 100% true. And Barack doesn't owe Hillary a damned thing. Why should he have to apologize for something somebody else said, that he wasn't even there to hear, that happened to be this man's opinion? You're worse than Bush telling people that they're unpatriotic if they don't agree with him. If Hillary found the truth insulting, maybe that's something she ought to be working on. As far as I'm concerned, she owes the entire nation an apology for holding this nomination hostage and not having the grace and dignity to do like all the other candidates by accepting defeat and bowing out for the greater good of the party. I'm glad she was insulted. Maybe now she'll take a hint and GO AWAY!!!
Any person who pretends to be stopping violence and hatred while rousing people to violence and hatred is living in their own ego. I'm White and for many years I went to a predominently Black megachurch with a very charismatic minister. He never, ever played any racial card and was truly a uniter. he saw purpose in everything and understood that we've all gone through our own troubles, many that have nothing to do with skin color or gender. His message was always love and peace and joy, in tough neighborhoods and mansions, same message. Day after 9/11, same message. Rev. Wright doesn't represent truth or racial harmony or love or Christianity. he's on his own ego-trip, which was apparent with his press corps interview. The Fr. is the same. This has really set back race relations when Blacks had made such extraordinary progress and so many truly don't feel the way Rev. Wright portrays them. Anger helps no one. Unfortunately, Obama is a product of his church and the things he hears, just as we all are. He cringed at his White grandmother, but Rev. WRight was his mentor. I don't want an anti-White president any more than I want an anti-Black or anti-woman president.
Eleanor you should be ashamed. 'Whining'? Let's see here-two major states have been shafted, two of which Your Guy Prince Obama prob. Wouldn't have won, Hillary seems to be doing EXACTLY what Obama would be doing if the roles were reversed. Considering how in the tank guys like your cronies Fineman , Meachum and Alter are for him, I shouldn't be surprised by your article here. Grow up-it ain't that simple, and lilike it or not, she aint' going away.
HILLARY CLINTON DRINKING WHISKEY TO DROWN HER PROBLEMS.
WHETHER ITS WHINE OR WINE, SHE STILL HAS A PROBLEM WITH TELLING THE TRUTH.
HILLARY IS A PATHETIC WICKED WITCH WITH OUT HER CROWN; PERHAPS SOMEONE COULD GET HER A PAPER CROWN A BURGER KING ?
Dear tired and old and ALL CAPS, you're an example of the sexual bigotry women are fighting.
Or maybe some Crown Royal....
Seriously though - She came up short in every way
Her attacks were thrwated at every turn
2nd grade papers -pathetic
Suggestions of Obama drug dealing - Shamefull
Obama is only here cause he is black - Desperate
Ignoring Caucus states completly - Foolish
HRC's Phony gas tax pandering - Decietfull
None of this means she should not have won
but did she think the media wasnt going to take her to task?
The media has been biased - But if Obama had not been a phenom to begin with, then
there would be no story .
Anyone remember the whole -is he black enough thing
(blakc people never cared..it was a made up issue)
you didnt see Obama complaining about that
There's definitely been a double-standard here, Obama supporters have called anyone racist who has not supported him and it's time we start playing the same game. I for one, if I have to choose a man in the general election will choose McCain. Obama supporters think they can strong-arm people to voting for him by calling people racists or by saying "You are a Democrat aren't you? Then you should vote for a Democrat" I think we should send a message to the party about what happens when they choose the wrong candidate.....THEY LOSE!!!
How can Obama be the wrong candidate when the majority of the Democrats chose him? He maybe the "wrong" candidate for you, but he wasn't for the Majority
Hillary won the majority of votes, 6.6 million to 6 million, counting FL and MI. This is why there's strong objection to the decision today. The delegate system is very complicated in each state and not based on actual votes. For instance, while Hillary won far more votes in TX, Obama ended up with about the same or maybe even more delegates, depending on who gives the count. The superdelegates and Party officials are going to decide this election after all.
I don't think Hilary supporters are racists for not supporting Obama, just naive and foolish. Hilary has massive negatives and her performance in this campaign has only strengthened those negatives. She needs to learn some grace. If she had half the grace of Obama, she probably would have captured the nomination. But this "poor me" whining strategy was a loser from the get go.
This kind of comment is why Al Gore and John Kerry quickly withdrew instead of demanding recounts, fighting for the election. We want them to fight but we stomp them when they do. I'm proud of Hillary.
Clinton is doing a disservice to women by playing this sexism card. There has been sexism, but not in anyway that has hampered her message or her campaign. Her surrpgates like Ferraro are also hurting her image and fracturing the party. She has suggested that Obama and Edwards teaming up on her was sexist. She is Hillary Clinton the Inevitable. Thats why they ganged up on her. Imagine a man complaining about that. Hillary has been playing the sex card the whole time.
Crying before NH -Sex card
BIll saying the boys are ganging up on her - Sex card
Ferarro and Bob Johnson saying Obama wouldnt be here if it was for his race - Race card
and now that Hillary is crying sexism and invoking Selma and zimbabwe, she is playing all the cards
at the same time - and who is there to do the same -Ferarro
How is it that Obama has not mentioned race or gender, and the clinton camp has
but he has played the race card and has been sexist?
Gimme a break Clinton, if Elenor Clift is saying you are full of it on the sexism claim
Your full of it
The day after Geraldine Ferraro suggested Obama might not be ahead if he weren't Black, Sen. Kerry was asked way he thought Obama could help heal international affairs. he said, "Because he's Black." He said it twice. Not a peep from the media.
Has anyone noticed that the way this issue is being presented and discussed here only validates the things that the sexists say about why women are inferior? You are proving their case for them. Just as Hillary by her drama and lack of grace, honor, and integrity is proving the reasons why people prefer Obama.
Enough the stress of this is getting unbearable. We all want what is best for our nation. We got big news this week (McClellan book) this information we all felt for some years that this war was faked. I don't sleep well know that all our troops have dead and the there families destroyed. Enough-- I feel Obama will be watched for is whole term and he will and may be the best President. He will have to work harder that in other President just because we make it so hard to let our fears drive us. I realize for some this maybe hard to want to try someone different. We have proven on both side that we are smarter that what they (republicans give us credit for). We need to let America heal. We need to let are troops come and heal. We need Pride in made in America back. I want all Americans for all Americans.
I will never fight a Hillary Supporter I just want us to heal our country. He is just one man and that all. We the people are begging for our nation back. Enough please stop this crazy fighting. Bush is the problem not Hillary not Obama. America is in a Mess. Enough K. We need look at the future of our children. If we can get Obama to do half of the things he is talking about what a major step. Our schools are a joke; I have better computers on my work bench than they do in most classrooms. Our vets should never have to wait for care.
I have trusted my life for 8 years to false promises. Fear allowed us to vote Bush into office fear put in him in a second term. We all felt he wasn't right but we were afraid that he was right. This is the time to be strong and take Our White House back.
Whatever happens with this presidency, we've shown that this country is deeply mired in racial and sexual prejudice on all sides. This is the real riff in the Democratic Party and in the country. Even agism with John McCain is something to look at. While we're angry over an insane war in Iraq, we have a war inside that hasn't been won - the war against hate. Right here on this blog, we're at war. It isn't being corny but just practical to say peace has to start in our own hearts, action and words. Mine included.
I like Biden for vp or sec of defense
McCain could very well nominate a woman. Imagine if he chooses Condoleeza Rice for VP? I think lots of women, Blacks and Democrats would swing that way.
ej, Obama just won't get elected, especially when stuff is still coming out about his racially charged church. In the general election people will use this and it will become a black vs. white thing and you know who will win that one. So unfortunately, he is not the right man. I don't like him for other reasons, but the main fact that his record is tainted with and anti-white church, well, he'll never win all the votes he needs to because of that. The first black president will have to be squeaky clean and Obama is not. I wish that Obama had done some more time in politics, and built a track record that was impressive, then I could have given him a second look. As a man, and as a politician, he's no comparison with McCain. None at all.
You say you don't like him for other reasons, yet you never tell us what those other reasons are. Very interesting.
RDominguez gave you a very detailed litany of reasons. If Wright, Rezko, Farrakhan, Michelle's "never proud" comment, and Obama's inexperience ( a president who never really ran anything but a college newspaper?) don't mean anything to you, you may be ignoring some key issues that the average voter won't ignore.
Here, I'll use your reason, "He comes off all wrong to me"
Hillary inspires me like Obama inspires you. Our reasons for supporting the candidate we do are somewhat the same.
I gave concrete reasons why Hillary is opposed. Namely, it's her pandering for votes and not exhibiting a moral center and sticking to it. Your critiques of Obama have been effectively that he "gave you the cooties".
"not exhibiting a moral center and sticking to it" You mean like, as Mike Malloy said, "appearing in white face and thowing his spiritual mentor of twenty years under the bus so hard he was in danger of coming out of the back end as exhaust" for political expediency? You mean like opposing the easy patiotism of lapel pins (quite eloquently I thought) and then wearing them anyway? You mean like applying the States Rights Standard to gay marriage,.. a standard which meant Slavery in this country until we fought a civil war to nullify it, and if not overturned by the Supreme Court 60 years ago would have made his parents interracial marriage ILLEGAL? You mean that kind of lack of moral center, not to mention courage? I have to get off of this blog now...there is no worse kind of arrogance than ignorant arrogance married to a good vocabulary.
I am a woman who is not voting for Clinton. I even wrote to her campaign when I decided I couldn't vote for her. Here is part of my letter:
"I have an 11-year-old daughter. I have tried to raise her right by teaching her right from wrong and Christian values. I have taught her to be honest, trustworthy, ethical, and moral. I have taught her that you do not tear people down to build yourself up. That there is no such thing as "win at all costs" --- a cost is paid for every wrong you commit. I have taught her no matter how mean others are to you, as Christians, we are to act as Christ would ... to turn the other cheek and forgive. And your current campaign is the opposite of what I have taught and she has learned.
So see Hillary, if I vote for you, I go against everything I have taught my daughter about how to live right. Children learn by our actions. And if I vote for you, I am telling her that it is okay to lie about others, to change the rules to suit your needs, and that winning is the only thing that matters.
And in the long run, the only thing that matters is your integrity."
That is why I am voting for Obama. Not because of sexist comments from the media, but because of what I have taught my daughter----honor, integrity, and morals are more important than winning.
I never hear anything but the same repeated phrases against Sen Clinton. What exactly did se do that was immoral, unethical, dishonest or untrustworthy? Not things like "the way she ran her campaign" or "I just see it in her eyes" or the Psychic Friends line, "I know what she's really thinking." What specific thing did she do? The only thing people come up with is bill's Jess Jackson comment after South Carolina. That isn't even close to Obama's international advisor's comment about Hillary as a "monster," so did Hillary Clinton do to deserve your extraordinary list of defamatory accusations against her?
The rules for the primary season were well known to all who participated. Clamoring to rewrite the rules that all participants agreed to at the outset when one is on the losing end is both desperate and foolish. The lack of integrity and honesty displayed by some on this issue is appalling. The sense of entitlement disgusts me.
Not only were the rules well known, they've been in place for years - I believe predating Bill's run for president. She didn't start to whine about the rules until it became apparent she'd lost the nomination, then all of a sudden the rules weren't fair. They were obviously good enough to get her husband elected, but not good enough for her. Talk about a double standard....
Like Donna Brazille said, my Mama taught me that rules are rules and if you try to change the rules near the middle or end of the game thats called 'cheating'. That's got nothing to do with sexism, she lied, whined, pandered and cheated...not exactly the role model I want for my daughters.
And that is exactly what Father Phlager was saying on Sunday. LOLOL
krsmommy- Read the papers, look at the statistics, men make more than women and have higher positions than women. We don't live in a fair world, it is male-dominated. If you want your daughter to succeed in life, it might be best to teach her to be more like Hillary. Otherwise she'll end up working a crap position for a man. Sorry, but we don't live in a world of gumdrops and lollipops.
More like Hillary? I'm not teaching my daughter to whine when she doesn't get something. In fact, I'll tell her that's the worst thing she could do. If you are battling uphill against sexism, the last thing you want to do is behave in a way that reinforces the stereotypes of those that oppress you. Instead, I'd tell my daughter to act more like Obama; calm, collected and competent.
Let's see. We ridiculed Al Gore for quitting after the FL decision. We railed agianst John Kerry for giving up before all the votes were counted. he abhored the fact that FL was decided by the Supreme Court in '00 and sreamed that every vote should have been counted. Now Hillary is "whining" for not dropping out after winning 6.6 million votes to Obama's 6 mil and afar more states, including virtually every single swing state? No, she's courageous and fighting for our votes while Obama wants them ditched. She's the president I want!
So just because someone is calm they should be president? ok. got it. And competent, that has yet to be determined.
Calm, collected and competent beats grating, whining and flip-flopping any day of the week.
WORKS FOR HILLARY THE EVIL WITCH.
We may live in a "male-dominated" world, but I don't have to tear people down to pull myself up. I've done well for myself, considering I am a statistic ( a single mother without a college degree, who happens to be African American). I've taught my daughter that your will struggle, but if you maintain your values, you can and will make it.
I've gone further than my parents and she will go further than me. It's not a fantasy I'm living in, but reality.
krs- Well that's fine, if you're happy with your daughter living a life of mediocrity keep teaching her that. She will have male bosses and make less than her male boss. If you're ok with it then I am too.
rdominguez,
I'm sorry if that's what your life is, but mine is not and has not been like that. I work with a woman and her boss is a woman. I've had female bosses who treated me like I was their slaves, and male bosses who treated me as an equal (and made sure I was paid well! for my work).
Remember, just because you have a vajaja doesn't make you the better or lesser person. :)
Well congratulations, I'm happy for you, you live a life that's more the exception than the rule.
My life has been blessed because of God. I try and follow HIS two main rules...
1. Thou shall have no other God;
2. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Ms. Clinton does not do that. Or if she has done that with Obama, she does not love herself very much and she needs our sympathy not our votes.
Well keep praying to God, because it will take a miracle for Obama to beat McCain.
Just what a Republican would want us to think.
I'm a Democrat. I agree.
THERE ARE MANY WRONGS DONE TO WOMEN; HILLARY LIES WON'T CHANGE THEM.
DON'T SLAM KRYSMOMMY; FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING.
I'm not slamming her, but you must face the facts as ugly as they may be.
ONLY UGLY FACT IS YOUR SUPPORT FOR A DISHONEST WOMAN CALLED HILLARY CLINTON AND THE FACT YOU DENY HER LIES.
Why are you writing in all caps? It makes you seem like a wacko.
Thank you Tired & Old. :-) You may be older, but you have a lot of spunk left in ya! LOL
THANKS ! YOUNGSTER.
I LEARNED INTEGRITY FROM HOP-A-LONG CASSIDY; JUST COULD NOT REPLICATE HIS FAMOUS LAUGH.
GLAD YOU THINK INTEGRITY, HONOR, MORALS, MATTER.
SEEMS LIKE CLINTON SUPPORTERS ONLY BELIEVE IN CHEATING THE SYSTEM, LYING AND STEALING THE NOMINATION.
MY CHILDREN ARE GROWN, VERY PROUD OF THEM.
Hill have been campaigning in the last primaries since OH with a crab
mentality. As it becomes quite clear that Barack have built pledge delegate
count that she couldn't overcome, she resorted to dragging him down like how
crabs drag leading crab from escaping from an open container. Unfortunately for
her, despite her tenacious effort, Barack was almost at the top of the open
container into freedom and she was so far behind to grab his long leg. Her
tragic effort would not yield any positive result to the Clinton legacy and may
even lead a lot of bitter taste. When that happens, expect the blame game to
start and knives will be sharpened for next round of internal struggle and the
Clintons will try to settle lots of score.
If "who would you rather have answer the red phone at 3am" is dragging him down, then it's the facts that drag him down, not Hillary. To me, that's the most important question we have to ask ourselves. Which candidate can best deal with a real emergency, not which one will tell us what we want to hear. Bush was the guy most voters wanted to have a beer with. he was more like-able than John Kerry to more voters. But what horrific judgement he had when a crisis rose! Ever see the tape of him reading "My Pet Goat" to that classroom when 9/11 hit? Or his response to Katrina when he was on another month-long vacation? Obama seems like just another angle on the Bush problem. Charm over substance. Great if you're hiring a spokesmodel. Not what i want in a president!
Voting against a woman because she is a woman is sexist, and wrong. But so is voting FOR a woman because she is a woman. In effect, you are voting against the man because he isn't a woman. It's the same effect. Sexist all way 'round.
Many Obama supporters have elucidated concrete and logical reasons why Clinton is the wrong candidate. These reasons have nothing to do with her sex. Hillary comes off as someone who really doesn't have core values. Instead, she espouses the beliefs she feels will pander to the right people at that particular time. This perception plays right into the hands of the right who have the advantage of doggedly sticking to their horrible policies. Yet, they can hang their hat on resoluteness. Hillary can not.
What we need is a calm rational voice that can enunciate in no uncertain terms the key values of the Democratic Party without apologizing or hunkering in fear. Someone who sticks to their beliefs even in the fervant heat of political pressure. That voice is Obama. Hillary cannot match him in this regard. In fact, she reminds us too often of the recent failures of the Democratic Party to capture the imagination of the country.
You have made the same fact-thin arguments usually made about Sen. Clinton. She "comes across as someone who doesn't have core values." What exactly has she done that was immoral or unethical? How do you know she's saying things to "pander to the right?" They're the same beliefs she's held for some time. Are the "key values of the Democratic Party" the values of Rev. Wright, Mr. Farrakhan or Tony Rezko? Would you say Sen. Obama "stuck to his beliefs" when he first said he loved Wright. Then he disagreed but wouldn't reject him. Then renounced him, but wouldn't renounce the church. Then resigned from the church? Did he stick to his beliefs when he made the "bone-headed mistake" under the table real estate deal with accused political briber Tony Rezko? I would truly like to believe in Sen. Obama very much. The facts just keep getting in the way of his charmisma.
Johnsonium- You don't state good reason, you basically say the way "Hillary comes off" to you, which is the main reason I don't like Obama. The way he "comes off" to me is all wrong. If Obama inspired the entire Democratic Party, and brought everyone together like he claims to, we wouldn't be in this mess. Almost half of Democrats support Hillary. So tell me how he inspires the party? So tell me how he's bringing everyone together? It hasn't happened so far.
He's inspired more people than he's turned off. That's why's he's won the nomination. If Hillary supporters are so blind that they cannot rally behind him, then so be it. Such an act certainly won't improve the perception of women in politics.
But you didn't answer my question. If we have this big divide between Hillary and Obama supporters, and he's supposed to be this all-mighty inspirer and uniter, why are we in this mess? And if he can bring people together within his own party how will he do it in other parties in the general election?
Because the primary is about Democrats not the population as a whole. The uniting is between the base (Democrats), independents, and maybe a few Republicans. That's how you build a majority and win the presidency. You have to appeal to some outside of Democratic circles. Obama has shown that he has the charisma and vision to pull more cross-over votes from non-Democratic sources. Simple as that.
Yes, but he cannot even pull together his base, and the polls suggest that 25% of Hillary supporters would vote McCain. Admittedly, I'm more Republican than Democrat, I was going to vote Democrat this year, only to support Hillary. However, will go back to voting Republican. So the main reason I do not support Obama is mainly because I would have supported McCain anyway had Hillary not been in the running. But Obama is supposed to bring people together, even Republicans, yet I remain uninspired.
I'm a lifelong Democrat and would find it hard to support Sen. Obama. I agree there's been no evidence he's a uniter of anyone.
Good riddance. Go back to the Repuglicans, please. The polls have shown that Obama is attracting many more Republican crossovers than Hillary. This is a fact.
I had a person in my own precinct during the caucuses in my state say that they've voted Republican all their lives but saw in Obama a leader that can unite us all. I've heard this several times from staunch Republicans. The numbers back up my anecdotal experience.
If you really are a Republican, why should we listen to the enemy when deciding which candidate to choose? The Republicans want Hillary to run because they've been preparing to attack her for many years. Obama is a much harder matchup for them and they know it.
Why does no one ever point out that Hillary has inspired 6.6 million people? Many young girls were so excited about a women being president. Many older women felt this would be something they never thought they'd see in their lifetime. Now they won't. Women have every right to be angry, offended and frustrated. As by far the strongest block of consumers, this country might want to notice women have rights and, yes, we aren't going to take it any more.
Additionally, you say he "comes off.....all wrong". I gave you concrete examples of why people have a negative perception of Clinton. Yet you provide known for your perception of Obama. Telling indeed.
I can give you concrete answers to why Obama comes off wrong, he's elitest, he's sexist(and don't say that's not based on fact any guy that calls a girl sweetie is sexist). He's a virtual know-it-all with nothing to back it up.
No facts, just your perception. There are factual reasons that people think Hillary lacks conviction. She's flip-flopped on many key issues.
By the way, Obama is not elitist. That's just a talking point the Clinton camp had developed out of desperation. The guy is extremely smart, but that doesn't make him an elitist. The Clintons are way richer than Obama and have many more rich friends. There was a time when Bill Clinton was poor white trash, but that was long ago.
He does call women sweetie, that is a fact. There have been many articles published about him being elitest I'm not the only with that perception. You argue your perception of Hillary as well as linking Bill's career to hers which is unfair.
The 'elitist' story came and died. It had no legs. The punditry floats these things out there to see which ones have actual bite. The 'elitist' tag didn't fly mainly because it was completely unfounded. Obama came out of law school and became a community activist helping downtrodden folks in his area. He could have made a fortune as a corporate lawyer instead. You can make an argument that Jon Kerry is an elitist, but not Obama.
Calling a woman 'sweetie' doesn't make you a sexist.
HEY ! DUMBNUTS.
I CALL MY WIFE HONEY, AM I SEXIST ?
I CAN TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT A KNOW - IT - ALL !
YOUR MOUTH TELLS ME SO !
The only reason the word can't has power is we let be that way.
I listen to people say I can't and I have seen allot of first. Look at this nomination that was also a can't happen thing too. They just landed again on mars was the a can't too. People believed that Bush couldn't lie to the people about something so big but he did. We are not weak. We are talking 8 years! This is a big step; to put McCain in because we didn't get the person we wanted. Really most Black people love white no matter what is said or done because time has shown none are the same. I don't think he will eat white people I not sure what white people fear? We are all Americans! How can it be harder than that? Do you feel that we will leave America if we don't get the person we want in office? 8 years of McCain! That is fear that is worse than any Obama could ever make me feel. 8 years I could learn any job any a few months or a year. But what do we do with the other 7. I have 3 boys and they need us to make the right choice. I don't want is this war. I think Hillary was smart to use all of her tools to use us against each other. We were all together at the start until she was losing.
The only reasons democrats lose is because we are not strong to the end. Every race has been close but turn out was the key Republicans want doubt, they want us to fight. Sorry I will never fight a Hillary supporter.
If we were all together when Hillary was winning, why wouldn't you say that Hillary is a uniter? Obama was the one who first accused her of racism when she said Lyndon Johnson signed civil rights legislation into law. The point she was making is that you better have a supportive president or nothing moves forward. Obama has been the divisive factor and he's revealed a reverse racism I don't think we knew existed.
EJ- If every Obama supporter expressed themselves as you, then maybe I would have come around. It's gone too far at this point. And the Republicans will get what they want again. I think we will learn, just not this time around. Unfortunate.
I'm a bit confused here. On one hand, you continue to assert that Hillary is the only candidate that can win. On the other hand, you reference the past 2 elections and assert that we 'haven't learned'.
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Senator Clinton's strategy for winning in November is the same strategy that both Kerry and Gore used: Win the 'big', traditionally democratic states and ignore the rest of the country. The only candidate in either party who has applied a new idea is Senator Obama - and he won the nomination.
What's more, Bill won in 1992 using the same strategy as Obama. If you go back further, Jimmy Carter won on this platform as well.
It's Hillary's strategy that's faulty, not Obama's. She's the one who would can't win in November.
You are exactly correct. We needed a new focused strategy that breaks out of old molds. Obama has provided this. Some credit should also be given to Howard Dean and his 50-state strategy.
Obama is going to win. It's in the political wind. He sets up an excellent contrast to the old and inflexible McSame. Hillary is too much like McSame. After all, they both bent over for Bush on Iraq.
THE GIST OF THIS COMMENT IS THAT RDOMINGUEZ DOES NOT LEARN, UNFORTUNATELY.
I think some are confused about this one thing. The people at the top are important but not more important than there polices. McCain doesn't care about any smart hard working American of any color. You are liked if you send you children of to war without question. You hand of your pay check to pay for it. When your children come back from this war they will still not be educated. I could never hate Hillary supporter enough to live through 8 more years. She should not be worth the lives of more Americans.
Are you aware McCain adopted an African daughter? I don't like him, but I don't think he's racist.
I'm outta here, but I want to leave with one more thing. My vote is only one. If you think Obama can win, great. Let's see how this plays out. With the Michigan and Florida mess, the men vs. women mess, the black vs. white mess, this election will be historical. It will be interesting after the dust settles, to see how this plays out. I encourage ej, tired and old, cnn357 & jonsonium to meet up here on Newsweek on a blog, and lets talk it over and see how it played out. I could be wrong, who knows. I could be right though. You can look at the polls, we have our own opinions, but the dynamics are so great this time around, it's unpredicatable really. All I said, was nothing personal, all the best to all, Obamas and Hillary people.
You're are cynical and I'm hopeful. These two traits alone point to which candidates we support. If you think things will never change and we need to have more of the same, Hillary and McCain are definitely your choices. If you believe as I do that we need to strike while the iron is hot and stake out new territory with a leader that can bridge the divides, then support Obama. Simple as that. Cynics vs. those who hope.
What is it that makes anyone think Obama can bridge divides? This whole campaign has been nothing but a divide and Obama's camp has instigated most of it. After admiring Rev. Wright for 20 yrs., do you think he's a uniter? His judgement has proven to be just terrible. He claimed a "bone-headed mistake" for the Rezko scandal. Then his International advisor called Hilary a monster to the media. He was a close associate of a US terrorist. He chose a gay-hater to sing at one of his speeches. He thinks we have 57 states. he compliments Farrakhan. Then he denies him. His loves Rev. Wright. Then he's angry but will never disavow him. Then he instead disses his own White grandmother. Then Wright says Obama is being political, so he does disavow him, but not the church. Then the other minister make horrible jokes about Hillary. So he finally leaves the church. And this guy is not political? And he's going to make decisions as a president? What proof does anyone have that he's got good judgement? What makes anyone think he's a uniter? I'm a die-hard Democrat and I'm considering McCain. I can't even believe it myself.
BUSH ACTING LIKE BILL CLINTON ?
SCOTT MC CLELLAN LIKE VINCE FOSTER ?
WATCH OUT SCOTT YOU MIGHT END UP IN A PARK DEAD, LIKE VINCE.
CLINTONS WILL BE JUDGED ONE DAY, I BETTER NOT BE ON THE JURY.
Personally, I think that the crime of all-caps should be punishable by death.
2nd that motion.
R E A L L Y ? ? ? ? ?
Another Obama`s admirer....
I think Democrats need to to do somenthing about this unfair delegates count. The general election is not a caucus. The idiot DNC are sending the weakest link to go against a war hero.
