Eleanor, you have become a bitter maureen dowd menopausal woman. What's happened to you women who struggled to get where you are? Do you think that because you're there, you don't have to support or empathize with women anymore? I used to agree with you on almost everything but you don't make any sense anymore. You're fighting for a candidate who has no resume and who is going to lose in November. Ae

Just because I'm a man, doesn't mean I automatically think that EVERY MAN is qualified for the job of Pres. I think McGreen and McSame stink. IS THAT REVERSED SEXISM?

      • Posted By: celested9 @ 05/31/2008 1:21:55 PM

No flawed reasoning. Think about it. No woman has EVER been president. So guess what gender has been, qualified or not?

        • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 05/31/2008 1:31:40 PM

Trust me! A woman's day will come. In fact! I hope to vote for my daughter one day, She happens to be a local politician here in my home state. Smart young lady! Well ... God Bless America! And when I say America, that includes woman and men.

          • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 1:37:56 PM

Congrats for your daughter. You must be very proud.

            • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 05/31/2008 1:47:37 PM

Yes, I very proud! Thank you.

Eleanor, please just shut tfu! You disgust me...you whining pitiful excuse of a woman

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 7:08:26 PM

She's saying the truth. Now, you shut up!

  • Posted By: Mandelay @ 05/31/2008 1:59:10 PM

Eleanor, go suck an egg, there's a good girl. Listen up ... now is the time for a third party, a really competitive third party, to come together. Hillary, run as an Independent. You have my vote. Whine? Hell no, missy! Men behaving badly should not be rewarded.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 7:07:35 PM

An Inde? What a laugh! Hillary can't even afford to pay her Dem. camp their salaries nor her bills. She owes 20 mill.

  • Posted By: betsy336 @ 05/31/2008 2:38:12 PM

Whine???? I first thought u were saying Do u want a wine??
I am sure Hillary will accept a wine, once every vote has been counted. make sure u have both red and white on hand so she can choose her preference just like voters in FL & MI did when they went out to vote.
Were behind u FL & MI your voices should be heard.

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 05/31/2008 3:28:47 PM

Enter Your CommentPoor "betsywetsy" if you count ALL the votes, if that is truly the mission, then you have to count the popular votes from ALL the caucus' too, whoops...guess what that means? OBAMA wins...lol
Hope you're watching the hearings on C-SPAN today, it's a great day for Democracy...

  • Posted By: Concerned Canadian @ 05/31/2008 5:26:14 PM

Eleanor.....you're not satisfied sexually. Call me and I'll make you feel like a real woman for the first time in your life....just like Michelle 'Bridezilla' Obama is not proud of her country . You two have a lot in common. Unsatisfied !!

The DNC and the Nazi Germany propaganda media machine are in Hussein's back pocket , so naturally they support President Hussein. What they fail to see is the big picture. Its who can win the general election.
I'll give the dumb superdemgates a clue....its not Hussein...its the other person. Hussein is part of sick Muslim cult. Bad choice.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 7:02:33 PM

A real man would never refer to another's man's wife as 'bridezilla.'

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 05/31/2008 5:55:14 PM

Hey "cantgetlaidian" serriously, stick to hockey and beer ay. Even the radical rightwing extremists have stopped beating the "muslim" drum, you sound like a fool, well...if the shoe fits right, ay. You have no intelligent response to anything, you think Americans are still lead by fear, the only thing we fear is the INTERNAL destruction of this country by the "radical right". Intelligent people know that if the ones YOU are so terrified of want to come "over here" and kills us, America being in Iraq is NOT stopping them...

I have watched MSNBC trash Hillary on a nightly basis. I have seen "liberal bloggers" tear her to pieces. I wasn't Hillary or Obama when this started, but I am a Hillary fan now. Obama's supporters have done more harm to their candidate than they know. Can you say President McCain?

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 7:01:02 PM

No. I can say Pres Obama. Hillary supp. have been trashing Obama and us daily since he beat her in 11 states in a row. Can you say, desperation?

    • Posted By: lisas @ 05/31/2008 5:00:41 PM

I was a Hillary fan when the serious campaigning started. However, over the last many months, I have lost respect for her. I have seen her attempt to exploit racism, and sexism to her advantage. I have come to believe that she is a poliyician in the truest sense= she has no ethics. We have a President who seems clueless and willing to believe his own spin, Hillary would only offer us a leader with no real ethics. I want something different. I have to believe that Washington can be a better place.

  • Posted By: kaynouvel @ 05/31/2008 4:36:12 PM

    Shut up Eleanor!
I see you every sunday whine on the McLaughlin show every sunday where the boys only let you get a word in after they pittied your whining voice. I'm done with that show because I don't wanna hear your whining voice anymore!!!
How much you getting paid compare to them?

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 6:59:21 PM

Nice. Such manners. If you don't like her, don't read her article.

  • Posted By: Carol17 @ 05/31/2008 3:59:59 PM

Obama supporters don't whine when McCain wins by a landslide in November!!!!!

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 6:58:20 PM

McCain? Haven't seen him in months. Is he still running? Obama will wipe him out in Nov. Too bad, I like him, he's a war hero.

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 05/31/2008 5:02:43 PM

McCain is a strawman, and that is all, why do you think the clinotns and the bush/maccains are freaking out? Obama was not supossed to be here now, "racist America" was to stop him early, thatdid not happen, and now both sides are screwed, how will they keep the 20yrs of BUSH/CLINTON going now, it's over, the dynasty has fallen, When Amercia said she wanted change, she meant TOTAL and COMPLETE, Honest and dignified, a copmlete change of the broken that both bush and clinton have brought this Great Nation.
McCain goes no where and they all know it. You do too, you're just in denial...lol

It was a fair fight and Hillary Clinton lost. If she were on the other side, she would feel the same way the Obama supporters feel. She has a bright future ahead of her. So does Obama. Let's move on already.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 6:54:45 PM

Excellent comment, thanx. Hillary supporters should read your comment as a sermon.

  • Posted By: gs13 @ 05/31/2008 3:05:49 PM

If Clinton didn't have the support of milions of people and colleagues she wouldn't be fighting still. She has REAL support. People like this writer underestimate that and assume she is just fighting on by herself, while evryone else has abandoned her. She fights on because we want her to. She fights because we don't want Obama or McCain and realize she is the best candidate to win in November. She fights against a candidate that has raised much more money, proving that it takes a lot more than dough to make a great leader. Obama can have all the rich, Hollywood friends he wants, she fights with substance, not fluff.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 05/31/2008 6:53:44 PM

Fluff huh? Well I guess then the majority of the country is fluff because they voted for him and he won! You're a poor loser, be a good sport.

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 05/31/2008 4:01:05 PM

Funny, one could go through your post and replace the word "fights" with "lies" and "fighter" with "Liar" and it would not only be more accurate, but it would be much easier to digest...lol

  • Posted By: HDavidson @ 05/31/2008 6:45:59 PM

MI has the floor now, and is complaining, and crying.

  • Posted By: ExcaliburSix @ 05/31/2008 3:09:28 PM

Hillary Clinton exhibits the characteristics of a sociopath. There's nothing sexist about that.

  • Posted By: er123 @ 05/31/2008 6:11:54 PM

Eleanor, I know you are Obama supporter and you do not like Clinton. To you, if Obama is the winner, why don't you proclaim him now as the official winner. Then we will shut up.

  • Posted By: sue m. @ 05/31/2008 5:31:40 PM

Thank you Eleanor for your expressing exactly how I feel. I am a 50 year old woman, and I am embarrassed by our first viable female candidate for President. She is showing my college-age daughter, among others, the true meaning of "bad sport", and trying to win at all costs including not playing by the rules. She is not a role model that I want for my daughter. If her supporters want to risk Roe vs, Wade to be possibly overturned, and the never ending war to keep on going, then they should go ahead and vote against
Obama, maybe form a third party. I doubt if the Obama campaign will miss the toxic negative energy of some of Hillary's supporters that I have read here.

This argument that Clinton lost due to sexism is complete BS!! She lost because more people saw through her dishonest ugly political style. She has been running like a Republican and that is why she lost the race. All this garbage about sexism is sour grapes. She is simply not as authentic as Obama....just listen to her speak...their is not an honest bone in her body. The slate will hopefully be wiped clean in November.

The last I heard, we did not yet have a candidate with enough pledged delegates to become the nominee. And, it looks like we will have one candidate with the most delegates, and one with the greater popular vote. Therefore, the nominee will be chosen by the superdelegates., whose votes do not count until the convention. Perhaps they will consider which candidate is more likely to win in November. That candidate, by all maps, is Hillary. It's the map, not the math, that counts. One superdelegate has already changed sides from Obama to Hillary, and others may decide to do the same, if they want to win back the White House. And Eleanor, "whining"? That kind of condescension is unfortunate and beneath you.

  • Posted By: kaynouvel @ 05/31/2008 4:55:20 PM

For your information Eleanor, No one won, no one is winning.
Hillary has a heaviest resume and yet she'being trashed by every one in the news world and Obama's supporters that she thinks she's entiled to the presidency. She really worked hard!!! and is tough to stand up for America!!!
Why is convenient for everyone to pick on Hillary and not do her justice...? Is it because she is the EASY TARGET... every one else would've been characterized as RACIST if you guys had nearly done a 10th of what you did to Hillary.
I'm a person of color, would like to have an African American as President, but let be fair and balance...or it may be a little bit to late for that in this campaign

The title of this piece alone signifies the journalistic integrity of magazines such as newsweek and other magazines should be brought into question. The use of the position to portray hillary clinton as a whiner clearly illustrates the problem we have with journalism today; the lack of objectivity towards the situation in a nearly 50-50 race for the last few months from this magazine as well as other networks and forms of media (predominantly and not coincedentaly News Corp. owned) . The writer of this piece also illustrates this journalist's inablity to understand the bases of statistics, showing a classroom of 25 as an example for a point she is trying to make about sexism when many studies and test involving an eclectic grouping of individuals would have been the more intelligent and journalistically responsible thing to do. I wish i could take advantage of my platform in the same way this journalist had, well maybe not as irresponsibly.
