If Hillary is too delicate to take the nutcracker joke, then get the hell out of politics. Women whine about sexism and it causes more sexism. You aren't going to whine it away. There is a bar here in GA selling Obama t-shirts that have a monkey eating a banana on them. Racists? You bet. He should IGNORE it and go his way because paying any attention to it is stupid. Hillary simply lost. Get over it. All the whining about "if the rules were different she would have won" "she won the popular vote" are all poor character traits. It has nothing to do with being a woman. Scoundrels when they lose try to whine or change the game. Whining simply exacerbates the opinion that women can't handle it. The primary rules are rules. Is she going to whine if filibustered? Will she claim that the Senate must be allowed to vote and how dare a few rogue Senators hold up her bill. Whine Whine Whine. If women want to play the game, learn the rules and shut up when you lose. Your whining is sexist. Stop it.

Hillary is not complaining about tshirts. And how does complaining about sexism cause it? That sounds like a convenient way out. "If black people would shut up, I wouldn't hate them." "If women would just put out they wouldnt be raped." This is very old school thinking. Grow up.

"Women of her generation have experienced the indignities of an oppressed minority..."
Oh really? Women dominate in this world. They live longer, they have most of the money, and are privileged before the law. However, many of them are not satisfied with the substance of power, they want the trappings as well. Moreover, the aspect of Hillary which is the most damaging is her corruption.

    • Posted By: damitajo1 @ 05/31/2008 9:23:16 AM

Greetings from Planet Earth! What world are you from? Women are not privileged before the law. Laws that ban gender discrimination apply to men AND women. Women are the poor than men. Women with children are the poorest households in the world - including the USA. And last time I checked, most world leaders were men as well. Are you so threatened by women that you see them taking over the world? How paranoid!

Oh, please Elanor. No one whines more than you do. Watching you on McLlaughlin is PAINFUL! Anyway - I'm not going to unite with my party. Calling Clinton a whiner sounds like pouring gasoline on the fire. Toodles Elanor and DEMOCRATS!

The DNC is about to have a meeting. I hope they consider all the people... the new young voters (and future young voters who are now interested), the core loyal voters, the independents, etc.

My Lord, what has Hillary got to whine about? I would classify her as LADY LUCK. She had a documentary made of her life; she was the First Lady in the state of Arkansas; she was First Lady of the United States for eight years and she is now a New York Senator. Can't she leave a little room in the spotlight for someone else ... LIKE ME ... BooHooBooHoo

I want to ask: HILLARY: Why are you misleading the voters in Florida and Michigan? Why don't you try the TRUTH for a CHANGE. Truth goes something like this.... "You know, I agreed with the rules of the DNC in the beginning when you two rescheduled your primaries (God knows why), but when I began to fall behind, I thought long and hard about YOU TWO. I decided that I WANTED YOUR VOICES TO BE HEARD and your VOTES to BE COUNTED and I TOLD THE WORLD that some folks (OBAMA) didn't care about YOU. I PLACED all the BLAME at the FEET of the one who stood in my way ... the ONE who INSPIRES VOTERS. Now, if I wasn't worried about getting my WHOLE family BACK into the White House AGAIN, I wouldn't s worry about ALL MY votes being COUNTED. UNDERSTAND. Now go to my WEBSITE, and, you know, make a DONATION."

Hillary has set herself up for a show of laughter because she is running as a Democrat while acting like a Republican. I'm sorry, but all I can do is smile at the silly attacks aimed at Sen. Obama.

To JEPatriot - how many fingers old are you? Eight? Exactly what page should we turn that will prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons and making good on their promise to destroy Israel? Oh, Obama will talk to Iran's President. Obama - "We'd like you to stop." Iran - "Screw you. What are you gong to do if we dont, which we won't?" Obama, "Um, well, um..... we'll hold our breath until we turn blue!!!" McCain is already doing the heavy lifting of organizing the major world democracies into a unified front to isolate Iran, so Russia or China's veto in the UN won't prevent a major boycott. Obama is cracking open the books so he can begin to understand foreign policy, because he hopes to get elected to what he apparently thinks is an entry-level, on-the-job-training position - Commander in Chief. With a big enough personality cult high on hope-amine, he just might get the job. God help us all.

No, it is not a matter of age, but wisdom and not panicking. The posting below yours shows a reasonable person, giving a reasonable argument and points are valid. You too have some valid points, except for your emotional first sentence about age....leaves me wondering how old you are, and why your so angry??? Sounds like your very scared about seeing a reasonable posting...hmm...

Isolation is not the key to defeating Iran because they will just join with enemies. And we have already tried that. No we have to go further. .. Remember Reagan went all the way across the world to give that speech.. "Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall." He made them seem like such paranoid fools. Reagan had enough respect to make they look that way.

No too much isolation makes the people there desperate (puts them in primal survival mode eventually, worried about their children's survival), ready to put up with almost everything their leader comes up with.

Clearly this is a case of a much lesser qualified male usurping the best-qualified woman for the job. And it is not surprising to see your belittling words [whine?] as the media has virtually thrived on degrading rhetoric for political sport in this election.

If Sen. Obama takes the nomination it will mostly be because media people like you failed to vet his campaign. A campaign built on an image of political change when even cursory reporting would have revealed the emptiness of that image given his career roots in Chicago.

We have a way to go to the convention. Maybe media pundits can belittle enough women into voting for Sen. Obama. But as it stands with the Pew Research Polls at this hour, Obama has rightly tumbled in the esteem of many women. And you certainly took a nosedive with many women as well.

    • Posted By: yupik1 @ 05/31/2008 3:38:58 AM

I hate to burst your bubble, but the media has been pretty mum about Hillary's past. She has NOT been vetted to the extent that Obama has been. You should be curious when she said during one of the debates that everyone knows her baggage. Many people DON'T know her history, and Obama has been gracious enough to not bring them out for all to see.

  • Posted By: yupik1 @ 05/31/2008 3:22:42 AM

Obama has had MUCH MORE public service experience than Hillary can ever hope to have. He was a community orgarnizer who helped less well-to-do people who lost their jobs to NAFTA make a better life for themselves by getting them to get training or education to acquire better jobs post-NAFTA. His State and Federal Senatorial experience totals more than Hillary's Federal Senatorial experience. More importantly, what this campaign has shown many is the fact that he has the character, moral integrity, and judgment that Hillary can never hope to have will help him become a very intelligent, effective President. You have to also take into account that both Hillary and McCain are funded heavily by outside corporations, not individuals. Obama has 1.5 million individuals who have donated an average of $90.00 over the course of his campaign. A campaign which he has executed efficiently which gives many voters confidence that he will manage the tasks of the Presidency just as effectively. So take from this what you will. He may not be perfect, but he's definitely more genuine than Hillary or McCain.

Hillary Clinton had overwhelming advantages at the start of this race. What happened.? The Media , bullcrap. The fact is she ran a crappy campaign assuming that she is entitled to the Democratic Nomination and even the Presidency. Many people now see Clinton for what she is a self absorbed manipulator who IMHO is far more concerned about her selfisih ambitions than the voters.

    • Posted By: busby @ 05/31/2008 3:18:44 AM

Why are you so angry that the entire party did not roll over and go for Obama immediately? Or is this a new form of affirmative action? I don't vote for people who associate themselves with haters. Too much noise around Obama. Hate America, hate whites, hate women. Sorry I just couldn't roll over for you and hand him the presidency on a silver platter. Sen. Clinton had every right to run, apparently unlike Obama opponents in Chicago against whom Obama used questionable Chicago-style "rules" to get them thrown off the ballot. By the way he won only because he was the only one left on the ballot! Obama is an equal opportunity phony.

The greatness an Obama presidency will offer not just the United States but the rest of the world.Even the Islamic terrorists will be positively impacted by a US president who actually wants to solve the problem once and for all versus feeding the bullshit military industrial complex, the fake War on Drugs or even the notion of self-righteous imperialism.

If Obama wins the GE, I believe it will be an exciting time to be an American as the primaries show. The world will once again look up to the United States for its moral and visionary leadership. If it ain't obvious to you by now, no worries. Not everyone is (encouraged to be) a free-thinking visionary. But trust me (and most Obamaniacs out there), the man will usher a new age of American greatness not seen since JFK.

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 05/30/2008 9:25:52 PM

I need to change my vote. Islamic terrorists will be positively impacted by a Hussein Presidency. Who would have thunk it. Shoot anything I can do to help a terrorist......

They were talking with Syria. In order to proceed Syria, must cut ties with HEZBOLLAH (not Hamas) and Iran. They so far refuse, When Iran gets bombed, that will all change. FORCE, or threat of, is all Islam understands or respects.

Hey, get a load of this.

Today, FoxNews owner Rupert Murdoch ENDORSED OBAMA. Murdoch says that even though he is a Republican and an arch-conservative, he can't possibly vote for McCain, since McCain is "very weak on the economy."

RUPERT MURDOCH PREDICTED THAT OBAMA WILL WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION.

RUPERT MURDOCH IS VOTING FOR OBAMA.

Imagine if FoxNews stops bashing Obama, and begins to support him.

In related news, WARREN BUFFETT, Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway and the richest man in the world, came out in support of Obama recently. Mr. Buffett said that although he admires Hillary Clinton and has supported her in the past, he feels that Senator Obama will do the most good for America, and positively charge the economy.

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 05/31/2008 12:41:32 AM

Dang it Ninny....I changing my vote. Hussein is a Messiah. Ted Turner did say that Murdoch was the Anti-Christ. He might have been correct.

Just wondering, since you are a fellow Christian. Will Hussein make us wear a 666 tattoo? I hope not. I hate needles.

All4America, if you believe your own post, then my dear, you have been dupped. Otherwise, I have to assume you're a troll or a GOPer.

Give me a quality woman who does not lie, attempt to cheat and race bait and I'll give you our FIRST female president.

You said it! How narrow-minded to behave as if Clinton were the ONLY qualified woman available!

      • Posted By: tsap @ 05/30/2008 11:48:36 PM

she may not be the only qualified women available but i dont exactly see anyone else successfully standing up to the plate :)

Awe you poor thing...You see the problem is the that does'nt mean Hillary is the on, oh yeah then there is that FCAT that she IS NOT SUCCESSFUL, Hillary started out this campaign with "the NAME", "the MONEY", and it was just a simple fact, she was gonna win, heck I even believed that. Then she started speaking, and then people started seeing her for who she is, and seeing beyond the "NAME".
Then something else happened...Obama spoke, and he gave what may be the most important speach on race in 30yrs (or more). People saw him for who he is, Has has come from out of now where, kicked a$$ from day one and has not stopped, and has not comprimissed his character, unlike some others.

Just because she is the only one does not make her the "right " one.

      AMEN!

  • Posted By: C. MacLean @ 05/31/2008 1:01:04 AM

I just do not see that there has been a big problem with sexism in this campaign by the mainstream media, although the fringe media has displayed some - but really, does anyone take the Limbaughs, et al, seriously?.

What I see is that HRC rode her husband's coat-tails to the senate without any real work of her own, became a pretty decent though not outstanding senator, and then ran for president. And is about to lose - not because of the media, not because of her slimy husband - but because SHE screwed up.

As a woman, I find HRC an embarassment, and frankly, I think she got much more exposure, much more press, and much more money precisely because she was the first female candidate, not because she has all that much going for her.

I don't understand why there is a vocal minority that dislikes her so, but I understand even less why there are so many women who think she is the best we can do - she isn't, not by a long shot.

And I will never understand women thinking that women's issues and children's issues will be championed by McCain - of the three candidates, he clearly is the least likely to be a friend to women.

If there was ever an opportunity for her to prove that she is a democrat first and a woman second, it is now - either she gracefully accepts defeat and throws her support to Obama now, before any more damage is done, or she shows her true colors and proves the worst of what is being said about her - that she is selfish and ambitious to a fault and cares nothing for her supporters, her party or her country.

  • Posted By: HDavidson @ 05/30/2008 8:52:17 PM

    WOW! What a genius...lol.
You see my friend, the idea of "NOT BREAKING THE RULES" is "CHANGE" compared to the last 20yrs of BUSH/CLINTON. Obama has been rather quite on the whole thing, Hillary has done the "woman thing" and blown it completely out of context, to suit her needs, and that's all.
As for white votes...I VOTED FOR HIM TOO.
The Clintons are claiming he can only get "BLACK VOTES" however look at this math right here:
Blacks make up only 12.8% of the total US population.
Obama gets (we'll say) 90% of that which is 11.52 %
Obama leads Hillary about 50-46 give or take...
NOW! if "BLACKS" make up only 11.52% of the 50%, where does the other 38.48% of his votes come from?

Can't say "BLACKS!" We already counted them, lol

You're right it's about the "STRONGEST CNADIDATE!" the only people.who think he is not is Hillary and KARL ROVE, and of course her followers, but she is quoting KARL ROVE!

Want to see the truth about Obama v/s Republicans, look at the articles from when he was running for congress "The republicans can't find anybody to beat him!" That has NOT changed and ROVE knows it, so does McCain...lol

So no worries, and try not to feed into Hillery's rants...lol they are desperate and unfounded.

    • Posted By: tsap @ 05/30/2008 11:45:42 PM

excuse me bud but i dont think any of us understand what u mean by "the women thing. You are a sexists and quite of of touch with politics. im 17 years old and i JUST read in this article that most whites vote republican. meaning african americans DO NOT make up on 12% of the vote in the DEMOCRATIC primary. bumb that number much higher because the majority vote democratic. :) simple math really :)

      • Posted By: HDavidson @ 05/31/2008 12:45:23 AM

oh Honey, maybe "Math " is not your best subject. It is clearly broken down for you, just take your time.
The statement was meant to be sexist, it's called "sarcasm"..like right now I'm talking to you like you're 4 and not 17...but that's because you did "the woman thing" and got all emotional about a little statement, instead of reading, and understanding.
Would you prefer If I said..Hillary did the LIAR thing or the SORE LOSER thing or the republican thing, or the MAD-COW thing...there sweetie does that help?
BLACKS (as not all are from Africa) make up 12.8% of the US population (according to teh US census dept)
So there is NO WAY it's only the "BLACK VOTE" and is WINING!!! That's all, gotit, ok.

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 05/30/2008 9:04:10 PM

Quite a few were Republican's voting Hussein, in early primaries. WHY??? Because they support him? hahahahaha. NO...Because he is unelectable. Clinton-McCain would be very close. Hussein-McCain is McCain easily. IF he gets the nom., it will basically come down to this............

American Hero vs Islamic Sympathizer.....hmmm, tough choice.
