I don't think alot of those commenting realize how much repulicans played in the rules that were passed related to the Florida and Michigan primary. Also, I hear all this noise about following the rules but do not see either candidate following all the rules. Obama's folks have been touting "elected delegates" for months belittling the right(rule) of the superdelegates to the point that his followers have promised riots if the superdelegates would vote for Hillary as if she was "stealing" the election. Yet, superdelegates are part of the rule and as yet I've seen no one call Obama on this point as they have Hillary on everything. I will not vote for Obama for 3 reasons: 1) he is not experienced enough for the situation this country finds itself in at present. 2) the media (which is mostly owned and edited by republicans) to give Obama a free ride while they beat up on Hillary 3) They and their constituents yelled "RACE" to inflame which was bad for the country as a whole and not a good example of leadership only to get votes not because they really believed Bill or Hillary Clinton are racist.

women, women, women. Do not forget a woman gave birth to obama too, he could as well be your son. If your son is denied of his right because he followed the rule how will you feel? what do you actually want? The ticket should be given to clinton? You know from the bottom of your heart that this is not fair. Please stop splitting this party.

Following through on a known before the act punishment is called discipline and is how parents, including moms supposedly raise their children to not be "naughty." We wonder why rules are so frequently violated today and people don't seem to anticipate the consequences (e.g., getting into a bad mortgage to get the house they want; buying on credit) and now HRC and many ofher supporters are saying we knew what the rules were, but now we want to change the rules cuz we don't like the outcome.. It's not fair. (3 year old mentality). Rules are rules and if you don't like them, change them before the fact, not after. HRC agreed to the NC rules but now it's not fair sounds like words uttered in the midst of a temper tantrum). And of course it is just because she's a woman. Is this like a mom saying wait til Dad (man) gets home and making the dad the bad guy so the mom can be the good gal and say it's because of sexism?

As a Democrat, I will NEVER vote for Obama if he gets the nomination. I'll vote for McCain ! It's a win - win - win for me no mater how it ends.
If McCain becomes president, who I voted for, I WIN !
If Obama becomes president, and he does all the things he says ( still don't know exactly what they are)
    I WIN !
If Obama becomes president, and he's a flop , I can rub your noses in it for 4 years....so I WIN !

you're a genius! that argument is by far the most ridiculous. it shows you care nothing for Hillary or the democratic party or the policies it wishes to bring about! sheer genius!!you must be one of the majority of the uneducated that continues to vote for a candidate who cannot win.

Following the rules has never meant anything to either of the Clintons. Whether taking dirty money for the campaign or selling pardons and building scandals with the staff. If the party gives in, it will be a free for all next time. They won't even need to schedule primaries, every state will decide what they do and not the party .

Since every vote had to be counted in 2000 and because the people in Florida and Michigan are not to blame for what happened I think now too, Every vote must be counted, its the only fair thing to do!!!!

      • Posted By: ceepeekipps @ 05/31/2008 8:57:11 AM

that was for the general election... the only hopes this will give Hillary is the possibility of the poplar vote so she can make a larger case for her self as to who should be the nominee.and that math is spotty at best.I am just wondering as to when exactly people will wake up and learn the math just will not add up in her favor. ever. In deciding the nominee it is not the popular vote who pick the candidate to run, its the delegate vote vote. vote. it si obvious at this point no matter what happens she

@repaite - since it's all about you, i hope you're in a high tax bracket. also, if you have younger sons - i hope you have enough money to send them to college. otherwise, they'll be dead, maimed, or insane when they get back from iraq.

All Democrats should Protest, it may you state being excluded next.
The DNC and high powered Democrats playing God and Political Fixers with this election has been against the people.

How can a woman who ignores the law, incites protesting and backs out of agreements hold the offife of President of the United States?

Nothing is wrong with this woman. She is very absolute and correct in the damage that has been and is being done to our political process. This is not about Hillary winning, this is about giving all voters back their voices. From the 2000 election forward, there has been too much interference from party leaders and lawyers in the voting process. The people of this country deserve better than what we are getting. Obama used legal tactics to remove all opponents from the ballot in Illinois, thus denying voter choice. While Obama does have an insurmountable lead and will be the nominee, it is assinine to ignore the millions of voters that support Hillary. The party seems to be saying that they do not care about our votes. This is not democratic and unfortunate in that these voters are slapped in the face but then expected to line up for party unity in the general election. Where is the real and fair leadership happening? I just don't see it.

swimfast, it works both ways. See how many Obama supporters are going to run out and vote for Hillery if she is given the nomination. Don't take us Black Folks for granted as Hillery and Bill did after we supported them for 8 years. It 's time for them to buy their own Food and Gas.

This is flawed thinking to continually compare MI and FL to the 2000 election. Gore and Bush did not sign a legally binding contract with the DNC or the RNC to not campaign in these states, but Hillary and Obama did. The fact that Hillary continually backs out of legal agreements, certain statements that she has made, and policies that she has supported lets me know she is unfit.

imagine what it would have been like had hillary quit before west virginia and actually had a chance for the vice presidency...? the fact that she didn't shows (at least) me that she doesn't give a sh*t about this country... only herself. and i find that unforgiveable.

How sad that these woman are not about what is "fair" and "just" in the electorial process. It is not about a WOMAN being nominated, it is about the RIGHT person being nominated. We are pushing feminisam back 50 years by using the "Sexism" card. And yes, I am a 54 year old white woman who is backing Obama.

I think Hillary Clinton is exploting these backers not because of what is best for the American People and the Democratic party. It is about what is best for "the Clinton's". She has become a power-hungry foolish woman who will risk her reputation and her position in the Democratic party for nothing. I think she should accept an offer to be nominated to the Supreme Court where she could have "power" for life. This matter should be resolved by Wed. and if not, the party should ignore her.

@sassigirl. nice point; wrong side. if hillary succeeds in stealing the nomination from obama it will make the rodney king verdict look like (3) days of romper room reruns.

  • Posted By: staceyj @ 05/31/2008 8:10:12 AM

@rahcoy... i know! i felt like shooting my tv screen. blech. poured out to vote for hillary, indeed.
yeah. and my 72 year old mom waited in line to vote for obama.
i wish i had followed her example instead of actually belieiving my vote wouldn't count when i was told it wouldn't count...

Oh Gawd, What is wrong with this woman ? I live in Florida and I am totally tired of her and supporters.I listened to Comgress Woman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Dade County Florida ) tonight on Hard Ball tell Chris Matthews that they are planning to take this to the floor in Denver if Hillery is not given what she wants. I am a poll worker here in Florida and I know many people did not vote because they were told their votes would not count. I resent the fact that the Congress Woman does not mention this but keep talking about all of the people who poured out to vote for Hillery. I also resent the fact they failed to mention that Hillery was here in Florida on the day of the election, January 29th, after she had agreed not to campaign here. If she is given this election, I will not vote for this decietful woman. I hope this is the end of Ms. Wasserman Schultz political Career because we do not need self serving people representing Florida.
