It's so refreshing to see someone from the Boomer generation stand up against Hillary. No, she doesn't speak for all of us and we are not "violating the sisterhood" by not voting for her. The media has made it seem that every woman over 55 is foaming at the mouth and popping veins in their foreheads over HIllary "ill-treatment".

Only the spiteful ones with the "wronged woman" complex. Sorry, if that's a little harsh. But it's the way I'm beginning to feel.

Please understand that the media are thes one reaping the benefits from all this..you have Fox news on one end and MSNBC on the other..mudslinging and attacking each other..and we the American public are caught right in the middle by boosting their ratings and feeding in to all the bull@#$ that their are putting out. So here we are..Fox news fans hate MSNBC fans and vice versa and its not benefiting anyone but the news channels. People dont get sucked in to the trap that they have set..they are not on our side..We as a people are the victims and we as a people are the only ones to pay the price. Make your decisions however you want and make sure its heartfelt and an educated one..make the decision for you and your family..just be careful about what you let influence you.

I guess the Obama supporters are reacting to HIllary's unsavory tactics. If there ever was such a thing as an "overdog" (as opposed to underdog), Hillary was one. This race to the nomination was hers to lose, and lose it she did. Bad advisers, big missteps. She lost legitimately. I know she's stunned that not everyone in the Democratic Party is dying to be part of her presidential dream, but she has to snap out of it for the sake of the party.

She's using the "I'm being discriminated against because I'm a woman" argument, because she'll say and do anything to win. She really has no life outside of the aquisition of power. There are plenty of women who have been legitimately discriminated against, and this is an insult to all of them.

With all due respect, this woman is full of it. This is about nothing except Hillary. "We will do what Hillary wants", in effect. Women are refusing to accept that Hillary Clinton is the wrong woman to be president. She lies! We saw her lie about Bosnia and we saw her refuse to admit that she was lying until CBS produced the video. Did they expect the stand-up comics not to laugh at her because she is a woman? She claimed credit for the Northern Ireland Peace Agreement. But when we learned that Chelsea had written her thesis on it at Stanford and only interviewed her father and not her mother, the thesis disappeared from the Stanford Library. Come on, women, she is just the wrong woman. You really are asking people to not laugh at her lies because she is a woman.

The superdelegates need to grow spines and quick. I guess they're who I ultimatley blame the most. Even more than HIllary.

So let me try to understand what Rosemary Composano is saying here. She is one of five women who have traveled and campaigned with Clinton and a founder of a PAC called Women Count. The rally that she is instrumental in organizing this weekend at the site of the RNC meeting is not about Hillary. It is about voters' rights. The well known fact that they are doing everything in their power to assemble a huge turnout of Clinton supporters has nothing to do with it, after all, they were told they couldn't wear Hillary tee shirts.

Camposano goes on to say that this is not because Clinton is a women or that this is a womens' issue however she sites an "alarming lack of concern for womens' votes. Huh, are they only concerned about the womens' vote in FL & MI? What about the womens' vote in all the other primaries? Did I miss something? Were they secretly excluded from the count?

The most revealing of all her comments might be the one in response to the question about why Clinton, if she is such a champion for voters, did not object when the DNC stripped their delegates months ago. Clinton in fact made public statements of support for this decision. She replied that if they had known it would be such a close race then, she probably would have acted differently. I see. Voters' rights only matter in close elections.

So...what is Campsano championing for? Her actions and associations belie her rhetoric, which on it's on legs is shaky. This is not about Clinton, who she campaigns for. This is not about women, when she is the founder of a PAC for women's rights. She is organizing a rally about voters rights, because votes that were tallied under false pretenses should be counted. There is only one clear fact that I can see about Rosemary Camposano. She is a Clinton supporter.

Obama's "new car smell" has worn off? What does Hillary's car smell like?

    • Posted By: eliaseg @ 05/30/2008 4:58:11 PM

Smells like cigars from Billy taking it out for a spin last Saturday night.

  • Posted By: rainbow68 @ 05/30/2008 4:51:21 PM

You "hate" Obama? Wow. That says a lot about you.

  • Posted By: rainbow68 @ 05/30/2008 4:07:13 PM

"Obama will have his time"? That time is now. Hillary running around wild-eyed and drooling will not change that. Sorry.

    • Posted By: Jishoa @ 05/30/2008 4:42:09 PM

I doubt this is Obama's time. I started out this election with the hope of change too, but his new car smell has worn off. His associates taint his image, irreguardless of how he has now "distanced" himself from some of those people. Would you give a whiteman who just attendend a church full of klansman teaching's but didn't agree with them. It was only 20 yrs : How could he not have absorbed some of that hate. Knowing that everyone you are around influences you; I have chosen to distance myself from the bigots in my family in Missippi.

In the above commentary there is a suggection that a great gender bias exists in the election year against Hillary because she is a woman. The numbers of this years election results clearly show that there is truely a gender bias but it is in favor of Mrs Clinton. Women in droves are flocking to vote for her not because she is the best candidate but for no other reason than that she is a woman. The gender bias is clearly against Senator Obama.

  • Posted By: Dkoons @ 05/30/2008 4:31:22 PM

I think it is interesting that there is mention of sexual bias against women in this campaign when the numbers clearly show that Hillary Clinton is the overwhelming recipient of the majority of the female vote. That to me would suggest that if anything there is a gender bias against Senator Obama by a great multitude of women in this country.

To Hillary Clinton, From: DNC Rules Committee. It is our belief that everything we need to know we learned in kindergarten. That is why we have decided to accept your argument that Florida and Michigan should be seated according to the votes received in their unauthorized primary elections. Mr. Obama however, will chose who gets which share of delegates. We are essentially letting you cut the sandwich while Mr. Obama chooses which half he wants. We know your proposal for seating the delegates is fundamentally fair which is why we are confident you will be pleased with our decision. We appreciate your cooperation and sense of fair play during this unique primary season. Best wishes to you and yours.

Thanks Timj! You've very clearly stated what is happening and what will happen if this continues. Unfortunately it's OUR (GOP & DEMS) government, and we should be looking much more closely at the issues. No voter should be that blind or beholden or stupidly loyal or whatever it is to continue this administration another four years!! Let's get our heads out of the sand and vote - do we want business as usual or do we want change! The choice is ours to vote for!!!!

it is because of people like you why some people, including obama's wife, are sometimes disheartened by the politics of our nation. your whole post is a lie.

17 years... long time. Thank you for your service and I embrace your courage to stand up for what is right.

However, leave Iraq in Iraq. We're home now, land of the free, the brave, you know the stuff we put our lives on the line for? If you're going to be racist then be racist... but don't hide behind our flag to mask your cowardice. It's people like you that are the real threat to our country. I lost a lot while I was over there, I'm also very angry... but I'm getting over it. Go see someone.

It's just not happening for Hillary-baby (or should that be baby-Hillary) this year, I agree. And I've seen the "Young Hillary Clinton" video - how appropriate. While I saw her in the beginning as a contender (even though I liked Obama better) she had good points going for her and ...right up until the time she whined in that debate "Why do I get alL the hard questions first' I really thought she stood a chance and it would be a good, fair fight for the nomination like the Democratic needed and wanted to wage - wow. What rock was I living under??? This IS a Clinton (powered by Bill ) for heaven's sake.! Duh!

I knew the true colors were going to wave in a matter of a few weeks - and they have. Sooo glad the Clinton's didn't disappoint me.

But what I can't understand is WHY the Democratic party is even considering hearing about the FLA and Michigan seating at the convention. The rules were agreed to at the onset - and now, because Hillary is behind, they need to be reconsidered. If it goes against her (and personally, I think it should) she'll whine, cry, pout and throw a hissy fit in general to get her way, because she still believes "something will happen". Her campaign effectively ended when she made that awful remark about RFK. Period.

Another question - just what do church leaders have to do with the issues? Nothing, as far as I'm concerned. I thought there was religious freedom in this country.

As I vote for a president I would like to know about him/her and there influences. As a man raised Catholic I can tell you that sexism is still in the churh. The fact that this place where Obama goes for spiritual enlightenment teaches hate. I wouldn't expect a single black person to vote for a candidate who's preacher sounded like a klansman. You will always be judged by the company you keep. Old saying that still applies.

HILLARY NEEDS TO RUN AS INDEPENDENT PARTY AND FINALLY REPERSENT THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY!!!!! NOT ALL THESE DAMM LAWERY'S

    • Posted By: 14uc @ 05/30/2008 4:14:55 PM

If by LAWERY's, you mean LAWYERS, Hillary is one. This is why people should not vote if they don't know who tor what hey are voting for.
