This lady is full of it. When does she feel that he should have ran? It is a lie to say that she has been mistreated based on being a woman. She and my former favorite president have turned this into a manipulative election. They act like the Democratic Party is owned by them. Reality check: It is not.

Again, I say, three supreme court justices set to retire. HIllary may be around another decade or two, but the repercussions of the supreme court decisions will be felt for decades.

I don't understand why they keep saying "let every vote count". These two states elected themselves to be kicked out of the count,; therefore, they should not be allowed back in. Not even at 50%. Hillary agreed to this up front. Now that she's losing big time, she wants their votes. I sincerely hope the DNC sees this as I just stated, as those are the facts. The heck with whoever has the power in that group to throw it any other way. As for the "women", they are not speaking for ME. I wouldn't be associated with the non-ladies.

Group Grope, group think, If we all Just Come Together! This Group counter-gropes that Group which groped already but groped the "wrong" Grope to please the new Group that wants to Just Come Together and grope for Group Think.... angry at another grope groups' gropeing! But still loving the concept of group-grope or the grope-of-group,which all came together... but only within that group !
    Oh darn!
All this and The Fat Lady IS ABOUT TO SING!
She's groping for grope groups to forestall the prod for failure to Just Come Together because grope groups insist there be a prod for that failure!(The group came together on that!). Group think is never flawed, according to grope groups (and the Group came together on that, too!).
So when you sing Hillary please be brief!
You never led! Grope groups are for FOLLOWERS!

I don't intend to sound mean, but these people sound like sore losers. The math isn't there for Hillary Clinton. Suddenly, it's about the "popular vote" which Hillary claims to be leading if you include Florida and (Michigan where Obama wasn't on the ballot). She and many of her supporters are disingenuous. They ignore the rules of the DNC when it doesn't advance Clinton's path to the nomination. They have sunk to almost Republican like lows in methodology. Truely Pathetic.

If women stay home instead of voting for Obama, it says more about them then it ever will about him. Three supreme court justices are set to retire. I'd say you're cutting off your nose to spite your face. Making a statement, I guess, but at what cost?

I disagree it is about gender bias. Think how many of Obama's male political backers would be there if his rival was a white male democrat. And if you don't think it is about sexism look at that catholic priest and ask yourself if the rival was male would he be as disrespectful. I expect not but then again he is emblematic of his organization's sexist policies.

This is enough! I'm tired of hillary, I'm tired of the people that won't stop dividing and destroying the Democratic party as well as this country! If somehow hillary manipulates herself into being the nominee I think there will be a revolt, against the DNC, against hillary and her cronies and I have no doubt that we'll lose against mcbush in November!

  • Posted By: pahi @ 05/30/2008 3:39:54 PM

I admire this group's maturity - at least they are reasonable enough to state that they will support the Dem nominee - whoever it is. I am so tired of posters crying sexism. I'm a liberal woman I did not vote for HRC. Doesn't make me sexist. How can anyone cry prejudice when our two top candidates are a woman and an African American????? Either way, the Dems are breaking barriers. Instead of rejoicing, there is a contingent of people crying sexism and I just don't see it. And certainly those who blame the Obama campaign can't seriously rationalize that argument. I'm hopeful that the party comes together behind the nominee (Obama) and beat McCain in November.

"It's still dicey"? How about unfair, desperate even? This public breakdown Hillary is having over losing is tearing the party in two.

  • Posted By: dreffein @ 05/30/2008 3:01:36 PM

In Michigan and Florida, the best solution - a revote - was blocked by Team Obama (see the Florigan FAQs above). I would call that sad and pathetic.

    • Posted By: pinkpanther87413 @ 05/30/2008 3:13:25 PM

AFTER VOTING TO EXCLUDE BOTH FLA AND MI BY MRS CLINTON MAKES YOUR COMMENT REDUNDENT! BOTH AGREED, BOTH ABIDE BY, THERE O-W-N RULES, THEY SET!!! TRYING TO CHANGE YOUR OWN VOTE, IS PATHITIC, NO MATTER FOR WHAT REASON,[ UNLESS IT'S LIFE OR DEATH ] THIS IS NEITHER! THA'S WHAT MAKES HER SAD!

      • Posted By: News and Notes @ 05/30/2008 3:38:55 PM

It is life and death, it is nominating a democrat for president! The only way Obama can win over the Hillary democrats in Michigan and Florida is if he seats the delegates as voted and certified by those two states

      • Posted By: dreffein @ 05/30/2008 3:22:46 PM

I thought Obama supporters want the people to rule. So why are you afraid of a revote in FL and MI? Maybe it's because you know that Obama would lose. And, maybe it would also further expose how weak Obama will be in the general election. Even Howard Fineman is getting nervous. Check out his new article on "What Obama Needs In Denver."

Given the similar positions that Clinton and Obama hold on most issues, I just want the most electable candidate. Howard Fineman seems to even be acknowledging that Clinton might be the stronger candidate.

    • Posted By: goldpointe @ 05/30/2008 3:37:15 PM

You invoke the FAQ's, but obviously have not read them. The author concludes that it was the fiscal issues of the revote that doomed them in both states, and that it was made clear that Obama said he would abide by whatever the National DNC agreed to. Obama did not "block" the revote.

    • Posted By: RexLAX @ 05/30/2008 3:28:19 PM

The Obama people BLOCKED a re-vote in Florida? That???s news to me. I recall the Clinton folks wanting to pay for a new election, but (fortunately) that???s not how our system works. Besides, can you imagine the reaction from Hillary supporters if the shoe were on the other foo? Imagine if Obama wanted to pay for a re-vote in say... Indiana; an open primary state, with arguably illigitimate results (some pundits attributed Clinton???s victory to the ballot-stuffing shenanigans of Rush Limbaugh???s right-wing ditto-heads). The bottom-line is that rules are rules. There is recorded evidence that Hillary Clinton understood those rules before the Florida and Michigan contests.

However, I DO believe that Florida and Michigan should be represented at the convention in Denver. I have an idea that seems fair and cost-effective: Send post-cards to every Democrat in Florida and Michigan, instructing that if the recipient is interested in possibly becoming a delegate to the convention, they should return the card by mail by a certain date. Once accumulated, Florida would randomly select its 210 delegates, and Michigan its 156. Personally, I can???t think of a fairer solution.

    • Posted By: Gemini1766 @ 05/30/2008 3:11:37 PM

Florida looked into redoing their primary, they found that they could not afford it. Michigan looked into it and nothing came out of it due to numerous issues that could not be resolved. Money is always a big part of it, and to redo the elections would costs millions of dollars.

      • Posted By: dreffein @ 05/30/2008 3:18:43 PM

Governor Corzine from NJ (and others) had worked out the financing of the MI revote so $$ were not an issue. Rather, Obama supporters in the state legislature would not allow the vote on the revote to come to the floor.

  • Posted By: RussElba @ 05/30/2008 3:37:32 PM

Its still dicey to argue that Florida should be seated as is. The most motivating issue on the ballot was a property tax referendum. Think about it: If someone wasn't a property owner, and was told that the state wouldn't count in the presidential primary, it would seem to have lessened enthusiasm in renters. I'd hazard a guess that as a demographic, property owners fall more into the Clinton than Obama camp, so I'm saying her voters were over-represented in that beauty contest.

Hillary Clinton is my kinda guy. If I were a Democrat I would vote for her. I might vote for her anyway. If I were a female I would have her fitted for a mouth piece, shoulder pads, and a jock strap before entering the next fracas. if I were Hillary I would either lay a good block or tackle Pelosi one on one on the floor. I'm sorry we are not playing games - are we! If I were Hillary I would be aware Pelosi will stop at nothing to stop her (Hillary) before the DNC.

  • Posted By: rainbow68 @ 05/30/2008 3:35:24 PM

While almost half of the country have a favorable opinion of Hillary Clinton, she makes the rest of the country's skin crawl. She's willing to flush the entire party's chances down the toilet in November in an attempt to steal, yes steal the nomination. Senator Obama, as always has been an example of what true
character and dignity is. He can't be sworn in soon enough for me.

  • Posted By: rainbow68 @ 05/30/2008 3:20:21 PM

I'm not asking HIllary to go to prison or whatever. She still can have decades of meaningful legislation as a Senator. A fulfilling, fruitful career. She, however, has lost the Democratic nomination.

    • Posted By: Gemini1766 @ 05/30/2008 3:26:26 PM

She is a great Senator, I think she's done a bang up job for the state of New York. I'll vote for her again, as one of our two Senators, if she runs.

      • Posted By: pinkpanther87413 @ 05/30/2008 3:35:10 PM

IF SHE WOULD STOP PUTTING HER FOOT IN HER MOUTH. IF SHE HAD RUN A CLEAN CAMPAIN, SHE WOULD LOOK MUCH BETTER, BUT YOUR RIGHT!! WE NEED HER BACK IN THE SENATE, SHE MAY BE A CROOK, BUT THAT'S A JOB REQUIRMENT FOR A SENATOR, AFTER 4 YEARS!

  • Posted By: ladyinred67 @ 05/30/2008 2:43:26 PM

My question to this group is "If Obama had 'won' these two states would they be protesting?" This is not about how close this race is. This is pure politics as usual. The DNC and RNC set the rules. All the candidates agreed to the rules. The legislators and governors of FL and MI broke the rules. They knew the consequences. Now they and HRC want to cry foul. She didn't protest about the voters being disenfranchised until she started losing the nomination. I am a white woman and I haven't seen where HRC has been discriminated against because of her being female.

    • Posted By: Gemini1766 @ 05/30/2008 3:13:27 PM

If Obama had won these two states he wouldn't need to be looking for every single little possible light of hope, the way Senator Clinton is. He's ahead, remember?

      • Posted By: News and Notes @ 05/30/2008 3:33:05 PM

Of course he would! He is a better politician than anyone.

  • Posted By: woodg @ 05/30/2008 3:32:32 PM

To me, this issue has nothing to do about bias against a woman being president. That is an easy crutch. The fact is, more women voted in the primaries then men. The bottom line is, Clinton is gthe wrong woman for the job. She may have admirable qualities to those that see her as a femal trail blazer. However, as a person/politician, she is coniving, untrustworthy, has no consistent policy, and only cares about her personal gain with being president. I don't like Obama either, purely based on his politics which are horrible. We need more parties that represent the people, not political/business money machines.

  • Posted By: pinkpanther87413 @ 05/30/2008 2:38:10 PM

Sour Apples! Both agreed to NOT accept Fla and MI, and Clinton even voted so, end of story! Nice to know who is going to help put McCain in office though, so much for DEMOCRATIC VALUES!! THAT'S WHAT THEY say THEY ARE PROTESTING RIGHT? Sour grapes! Deal with it, as is, and lets trash McCain!

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 05/30/2008 3:32:24 PM

Both? how about 1,700,000 democrats who voted? Before we democrats trash McCain, let's clean up our own house first. If you want Hillary out, seat my delegates, and let the supers flock to Obama

  • Posted By: jakepalmerjake @ 05/30/2008 3:22:27 PM

well i think it would do this country good for a woman to be president but i don't think Hillary would do a good job and do whats needed for this country but i also don't think the other two would either. SO whats the answer go out and vote for somebody or not vote well i don't know .

    • Posted By: Gemini1766 @ 05/30/2008 3:25:11 PM

You're right, neither Senators Obama or McCain would make a good female President. Obama, on the other hand will make a great President, period.

      • Posted By: Ron-Zo-Che @ 05/30/2008 3:27:56 PM

Wow I'm Impressed. You hit the nail.

  • Posted By: mornelithe @ 05/30/2008 3:26:25 PM

Hillary Clinton didn't lose my vote because she's a woman. She lost my vote because she resorted to the same fear tactics that the GOP have used to secure the White House fot the past 8 years. Obama has yet to waiver from his message of 'change and hope'. No one is raising gender as a reason not to vote for Clinton, except Clinton and her supporters. She voted to strip MI and FL of their delegates...she SIGNED the damn order.

Fact of the matter is, the longer this plays out on the Democratic side.. . the uglier the contest becomes. And the more Clinton supporters will back McCain after she loses the nomination. It's statistically happening already folks. Seriously, she needs to step down, there's no possibly way she's going to get the nomination at this point...none.
