I think some of the "men" in this country are so afraid of a woman being President and that is why all of the news media have been obviously promoting BO. BO does not have the ability to win against the Republican Mean Machine. He has not had any experience at it or working his way around Washington.. They will rip him apart and we will have another 4 years of Republicans with a Bush agenda. I think it would take him a few more years to be truly ready for the BIG JOB.

Hillary Clinton signed a written agreement that said the votes from Florida and Michigan would not count and candidates would not campaign in those states. As soon as this became inconvenient for her, she began to agitate for discarding the agreement. This is not hardball. This is being untrustworthy.
After this no one can safely make a deal with her. Neither at home or abroad is word worth anything to a prudent person.

This was good and true. Our Constitution states for the People by the People! Not just a small part of the People.

After the Democratic Party sees what a big percentage of the women's vote they lose in November, then they will realize how widespread and how strong the anger is. Only then will they realize this is not temporary, not hurt feelings, not a little spat. Sexism is damn serious business, and it's a poltical deal breaker.

    • Posted By: ICareAndIVote @ 05/30/2008 11:12:44 PM

And those women will, in spite, vote for John McSame? I would certainly hope not, because if they do so, they are assuring themselves a worse outcome.

I agree that sexism is damn[ed] serious business, and John McSame will do nothing to change it. Barack and Michelle will.

If the choice comes down to voting for McCain or Obama, then I will vote for McCain he is the better choice!!

Fine! Vote for McCain. Go ahead! Help him kill more of our soldiers in Iraq for invisible WMDs. Go ahead! Vote against you own economic interests. No health care packages, more jobs outsourced, more destructive storms from global warming, we are headed for another Great Depression. Divided we all fail.

Barack and Michelle will certainly change racism -- the pastors associated with the Trinity United Church will lead the charge to end white entitltement and to take away all the assets they determine white people possess because of the long-dead institution of slavery. Obama will help them by taxing all the uneducated racist Hillary Clinton supporters-- all 17 million of them--to send more money to churches like these to administer social programs until some type of reparations are approved.

Barack and Michelle will certainly change sexism -- their statements prove it "periodically, when Hillary is feeling down." "her claws come out" "if she can't manage her own house, she can't manage the white house." Yep, women will feel much safer when handguns are banned, marijuana is legalized, the war on drugs is eliminated, and the death penalty is abolishhed.

We can trust Obama -- yes we can.

Democrats also need to be concerned about the independent, young, and African-American vote. The African-American vote is very crucial. For decades, it is always been important for Democrats in every presidential vote. They cannot afford to loose that vote as well as the independent, educated, and college votes. Everyone knows Obama is the nominee and the women need to wake up and understand that Hillary Clinton made mistakes on her own. They cannot blame Barack Obama's Campaign for this matter. He won by following the rules. Rules which the Clinton Campaign ignored which was a major setback for them.

OBAMA and his supporters, they claim that they are liberals but they dont know what a Liberal is.

Otherwise they will demand that the Good Reverand Wright will be released by the OBAMA goons and be free to speak his mind.

I want to hear his truth about OBAMA and not from OBAMAs communist followers. I like his reverand at least he tells the truth. He is not a "cheat and a lier ..." (the way he defined OBAMA).

Will you join us in demanding the release of Reverand Wright? Is he still alive? or, did the goons gotten rid of him? Is he in a goolag?

        Please help the good Reverand!!!

I agree that sexism is a deal breaker, and that the Democrats will be stunned by how angry women are about what's been done to Hillary in this campaign, but I hope we will let the Democrats know now--before November--how angry we are and that we are very serious about the party doing something about it what's gone down, unless they want to see the results of women refusing to vote Democratic in November.

I see so many comments regarding sexism. What sexism? Show me one clear example of sexism in this campaign. As obnoxious as the primary election has been I haven't seen anything that resembles sexism. Hillary has been mean spirited, nasty, unfair and vitriolic and we have all over looked it. She's said horrid and inexcusable things and we've over looked it. She pounced on any minut gaffe, mistake or misstep made by her opponent. Was given a pass in one of the debates and didn't posses the decency or grace to hand it back. She's shown she's not just a fighter, but the political version of Mike Tison who in a pinch when it looked like he might loose bit the ear off his opponent. That's not the kind of fighter I want on my side. I'm looking for someone with some common decency and integrity. Now we have this sexism nonsense. I'm a woman, and I'd love to see a woman in the white house, but not just any woman. Don't we want someone that sets the best possible example of womanhood? Historically female firsts have been women of courage independence and character, I personally don't see how Hillary Clinton fits that description. Yeah she's tough but she lacks decency and heart and without that what good is just tough.

Well said Washer. By the way! Will we ever get back to the real issues facing the American people like the gas prices, jobs, home foreclosures, the enviornment, the economy??? We the people need to set the agenda and turn the conversation back to what impacts us. bc

    • Posted By: Nins @ 05/31/2008 12:23:52 AM

Washier, I agree with you 100%. I have seen more racism than sexism in this campaign, but I have to say that neither one of these ante-diluvian attitudes will change anything, because Obama is going to win the general election, despite all of this nonsense.

    • Posted By: Carol L. @ 05/31/2008 12:17:08 AM

You haven't been looking or seeing what has been happening, if you haven't seen the vitriolic woman hating Hillary has been subjected to by male pundits (and male-identified female pundits) who have slammed her from the very beginning, subjecting her to criticism of a level never ever leveled and ANY male candidate. It's clear to me that NO woman will ever elected in this country until women organize and work together as a team for common goals to elect a woman for the office of President.

This particular women's group does not represent all women. I applaud the DNC decision yesterday on seating the delegates for Florida and Michigan. Our elected officials were professional and orderly in the process. Clinton supporters were rude and their behavior was obnoxious when asked to be quiet so that business could be conducted. While former President Bill Clinton did a superb job as President during his time in office and Senator Hillary Clinton did a great job of handling the Lewinsky scandal, they lack the decency to support others as they have been supported over the years, especially by the African American and other communities. They have manipulated this campaign exactly where they wanted it to go. They have played upon the fears of white working class people who don't deal a lot with people who don't look like them in their communities. They have taken advantage of their lack of education. Racism and sexism are both wrong. As a Nation, we need to mature and get past those kinds of misunderstandings about each other. American women enjoy more freedom and opportunity than any other women in the world. We have all fought long and hard to achieve equality but we also must learn to collaborate on solutions to our problems together as a Nation. Senator Clinton has caused major division within the Democratic party by design, so that she can cripple Senator Obama as a candidate for the nomination and that he, without her, would lose the white vote in PA, WV, OH, KY, FL, MI and others despite his ability to win other states that are predominately white. If she contests the DNC decision and takes it to the credentials committee in July, and drags it to the convention in August, it gives our nominee only two months to prepare to the November 4th General Election and the Democratic party will be doomed. This group claims its about votes being counted, not Hillary, but Michigan and Florida broke the rules and were rightly penalized. Their voters need to take up this issue of their votes not being counted with their elected officials who caused this problem. The rest of the Nation's states who abided by the rules should not have to deal with this at all. Both candidates started out with positive rhetoric and focused on the issues that affect us all, now the campaign has degenerated into something despicable with small groups focused on their own agendas, not the good of our entire Nation. As a woman, and a U.S. Army Veteran, a mother, and grandmother, I know that women don't have to be weak. Women are strong, competent, creative and multi-talented. But we don't have to do battle with everyone to prove a point. Vote for Change.

let's jkeep it the "White" House. We whites need to stick together like the balcks did for Dumbama. We all shoudl racially vote just like the black did and lets keep it the "White" House. Racism is alive and well when 92% blacks vote for a black candidatebsed on skin color - what ignorant peopel they are. .

    Clinton or McCain '08

    • Posted By: sebr01stl @ 06/01/2008 8:22:54 PM

"...when 92% of blacks vote for a black candidate [just] based on skin color - what ignorant people they are." Agreed. But when those same 92% of blacks voted on a WHITE candidate with a very similar platform (i.e. Bill Clinton), then maybe, just maybe, it's not just skin color, ya think? but economic policies, the charismatic way that he carries himself, etc., that Obama has in common with Bill Clinton, but that HRC does NOT have (she has some of the same economic policies, but not the charisma) - especially if Bill was thought to race-bait (calling the SC primaries) and turn on them, not to mention that the Bill Clinton they supported in `92 and `96 was PRIOR to Monica Lewinsky and impeachment proceedings, and maybe feelings have soured on Bill AND HRC. They (AAs) would still vote the issues however, and their own economic interests, which would be embodied in Obama who has the similar platform to Hillbillary, but without all the prior Clinton "baggage." 'what ignorant people they are." From what you've posted, it seems to be contagious, going around. LOL

I don't know what this Rosemary Camposano is lying for, about the last 8 years being the worst. This has been lady; one of the best economys this country has seen. It wasn't until the Democrats took over 2 years aga have we seen such huge increase in gas prices, food prices, clothes prices. Everything is way up.Thank you Democrats This is exactly what you people are going to get if you elect a Democrate for President. You wil get another Jimmy Carter the Worst President this country has ever seen, Bill Clinton was the second worst President this country has seen. Weather you like it or not President Bush will go down in history as one pf the most successful Presidents we have had.

    • Posted By: sebr01stl @ 06/01/2008 7:27:02 PM

Are you kidding me???? Is that why the Democratic Congress got elected in, overwhelmingly, to uproot the Republican led Congress that was there for the FIRST SIX years of Bush' administartion - because the economy was doing so well, and everyone was so happy with their performance??? LOL What planet are you from?? This war - started at the end of Bush' first term and geting him elected to a second - has, and continues, to drain this economy which was GOOD during the CLINTON years. Clinton may have been awomanizer, but bad for the economy he was NOT. If you think that Bush, with his, ever low approval ratings, is going to go down in history as one of the best presidents we ever had, then you really are out of touch with reality. The now Dem controlled Congress is rated low for not doing MORE to STOP BUSH' failures and clean up his mess with this war; but, it will take time (more than two years). We are in a RECESSION now because everything that Dem Congress proposes as bill to help, your precious Bush vetoes. With Dem president AND Dem Congress (especially pres they support and like), that won't happen anymore. You'll see. You'll still have your Rep dominated Supreme Court. ~~A change will do you good. ~~ Obama `08.

      • Posted By: sebr01stl @ 06/01/2008 7:36:58 PM

Also, Biged90, your prices are up due to TURMOIL in regions where we get foreign OIL that we depend upon. End the turmoil, lower the prices of fuel. Lower fuel prices, other prices also go down. Please get a clue. Even McCain, who still wants to continue occupation of Iraq, to finish what Bush started over there, still wants to distance himself from your precious "popular" Bush, especially with regards to immigration and the environment. LOL

We The People Of The United States Of America. "The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else." Murdoch is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to the right he just sees the reality of what is going to happen. Rural america's (only parts of) arab/brown-a-phobia is minor compared to how thoroughly screwed up the republican party is right now. Bush did so much damage they'll need another four years re-evaluate what they are about and how to present themselves. I can already tell Obama will destroy McCain in those debates.

Hussein Obama is unelectable in America. He's dual citizen in Kenya. May have better luck there. His cousin has already killed off many of the Christian opposition. His road to Messiahship, probably is more certain, back at home.

He might be YOUR worst nightmare (scary...different...NOT WHITE) but you would be surprised how many of us white atheist latte sipping volvo driving hemp smoking weirdos are out there. I am by no means a Clinton supporter, but what the DNC is doing is extremely unfair to the Clinton Camp. These Ultra-Partisan Superdelegates are returning votes to Sen. Obama that he never received. Is that fair democracy? When the DNC initially told Michigan they would have their delegates stripped, Obama turned tail and fled, not even caring about the voters who he thought would not help him receive delegates. What a crook!!!! Clinton stayed and fought and campaigned and won the state of Michigan. She didn't run off to Florida to try and solicit votes where they have more money to finance his campaign. I can't believe these Democratic Party leaders who I have looked up to for so long are letting this happen. I now now why after years of being a loyal member of the Democratic Party, I crossed party lines this year to vote for Ron Paul. By nominating Obama, the democrats are not only showing their sneaky, conspirator skills, but they're also giving away their only chance of winning against McCain in November.

Obama will not win, Dems you just blew the change our country needs so badly. You have not unified our party you have made a worse mess than it was. Men you need to look around and see . You think women should be in the kitchen and bare foot and pregnant. but you are so wrong. More women are supporting their children than men. It is a known fact. Men let go of the old times and look differently at the women

  • Posted By: jamesgum @ 06/01/2008 9:15:04 AM

I don't know too many men who think that way. My wife works and so do I -- not too many people can afford to have EITHER parent stay home thanks to 30 years of repubilcan and democrat alike taking money out of our pocket. Most men I know are very egalitarian towards women but some women don't want equality.

I will say this, any white male who votes for Obama or Hillary is a dummy. if women can vote with their sex and blacks can vote with their color, then white males should do the same. Neither Hillary or Obama have the interests of whte males at heart.

  • Posted By: brevado @ 06/01/2008 9:08:22 AM

Dems you just blew your presidential hopes of change in our USA. Obama will not win the presidency. He can win without Hillary. Our country does not need a man in office who can not pledge his heart to the country. Men get it straight you think you rule the world and women belong in the kitchen bare foot and pregnant but the truth is more women are supporting their children then men . Known fact.

It's a shame that some women who have no need for a man in their live feel the need to make every issue a feminist one. We have sexual euality in this country but for the feminsits, that is not enough. They want RETRIBUTION and will not rest until an amazonian state has been set up that castrates men at birth so that they can work for the queen bees.

  • Posted By: jamesgum @ 06/01/2008 8:16:27 AM

what a shame that a few women who have no need for men in their lives find it necessar y to make everything a feminist argument. We have sexual equality in this country but it is not enough for some women. They want retribution and won't be satisfied until men PAY.

If Obama is chosen to run for the Democratic Party for President the Democrats will lose for sure. The way the Democratic Party has mishandled the voting process in Michigan and Florida is a Travisty to the Democratic process. All who were involved in this decision making process should be fired. This is a great setup allowing the Republicans to win this November. Without Hillary the Dems will not win. MARK MY WORDS.
