Sorry but I disagree, Kripy Krem has no clue when it comes to doughnuts. They are flavorless and lard laden. They're only good for the likes of Rosi ODonnell. To be serious, why waste the time on this article when there are far more interesting topics and subjects to write about? This is article is a good example of lazy journalism.

While I think this whole thing is ridiculous, too, there are some points of interest to this story.

"Despite the fact that the kaffiyeh is worn by millions, including Middle Eastern men, arty college students, tourists, Kanye West and even U.S. troops, who use it to keep the sand and dust at bay..."

Well, jihadists are typically Middle Eastern men so that adds nothing to the argument. Having earned my Master's degree in an art department, I can tell you that "Arty" college students wear them because they think the U.S. military is evil and will typically do anything that shows how much they rebel at their own government's actions, including sympathizing with the enemies of our troops and adopting their dress or image as a part of their fashion. And yes, it is worn by U.S. troops; gee, should our special ops boys wear a target on their head by placing Old Glory over their faces instead? That leaves the tourists and Kanye West. I don't know if Ms. Ali is referring to those who "when in Rome do as the Romans do" or just all tourists in general. As for Kanye West, isn't this the same thing as an "arty" college student brat, just with a lot more money?

Also, and I mean no disrespect to Ms. Ali and I'm not meaning to pigeon hole her as a sympathizer, a jihadist, or anything else, I just find it amusing that this article seeming to discount the idea that jihadists are trying to make a cultural in-road would be written by someone with the last name of Ali--probably not going to be viewed by some as an unbiased article.

And who cares about the dumb scarf or the ad? Who cares if they pulled it? You don't have to see it as "caving"--maybe they think the whole controversy isn't worth bothering to be involved in it. Why take a side at all? Just move on to the next ad and let all you guys yack amongst yourselves.

This the most ridiculous thing I have EVER heard of. Everything has to be so politically correct and don't offend anyone on the planet. People GET a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE and I liked the scarf.

what about the scarf McClann`s daughter was wearing the other day; and the way she had it on, look just like Islam.

Gross--Krispy Kreme is nasty. Tastes like baked lard. Forty years a DD fan--the only real coffee; the only real donuts (in America anyway).

Is this really freedom of speech? Why would Dunkin' acquiese to a whacko like Gellar? Unless she is walking everywhere she goes, which I seriously doubt, she is utilizing Kaffiyeh wearer products like , I don't know, oil maybe. From the car she drives, to the road it drives on, to the electricity to power her almighty "sword" of a computer, all utilize oil from kaffiyeh wearing countries.

People wonder why other countries hate Americans, she is living proof that some of us are becoming the same zealot that they love to hate.

Said earlier today "Pam Geller needs to "shut up" and get a real life!! Controversy is one thing but, creating it as student Geller has, is down right shamefull. Blogger not!!! Hogger yes!!! " Totally agreed. This chick is WAY off base and needs ran off the internet!!

With all the things needed in the US and the world one thing we do not need is people that rattle on bout things they do bot understand and when explianed they are wrong do not retract their comments. (We have a Pres that does that). I may take some heat but it has been my experience that most, and I stress most, people that start fires have never had to fire one.

Crying out loud, it's just a scarf! Does everything have to have a hidden meaning these days?
Shame on Dunkin Donuts for caving in to one crazy womans insight to a simple fashing statement.

You people were the ones who started blogging. How do you like the effect?

Who cares what bloggers think. Opinions are like belly buttons....everyone has one but I don't care what yours looks like. Let's pay attention to important things and forget about the "political message" of a donut ad. Stop being offended by everything someonw says or does. Grow up...get over it and get on with it. Don't we have bigger issues to address?

With all of the things that are needed in the US and the world one thing we do not need is people that go off half cocked and start a fire fire over a mistake that they will not admit. Never heard of pasely as being accepted head/or any dress over there.

I don't even get why someone promoting a summer drink would even put a scarf around their neck .

Pam Gellar is simply cashing in on the cultural histeria for personal gain and nothing more. She should be ashamed. Dunkin' Donuts is simply reacting in a manner that was created by our overly politically correct society in the first place, and while I don't think they should have pulled the ad, I don't blame them very much either. Who knows who might have sued them for the ad after Gellar's comments (as rediculous as that sounds). Instead of boycotting DDs, lets all just continue to blast Ms. Gellar until she decides never to use the internet again. Why doesn't she get a real job instead of trolling the web looking to bully innocent companies with the race card.
