That clean full is hear like Europe's massive ocean wind farms, Spains sun towers, or plain old wind turbins.
If everyone stop complain about how ugly they are you would wonder why don't they put one up in mine, i would like that check every month for a thousand or so for sitting on my fat a** and watching the wind blow. if we took even part of the roughly 1 trillion dollars we spend to other counties (mostly the ery one on our terror list for sponcerinf terrist that kill us in iraq) we could wuild massive farms that would power all major city and go from there and be done in less time than it takes to build new drill sites, which takes at best 10 years to start production, ya that sounds like a quick fix?

Its funny - we're a two continent family, and we just bought a new (our third) Chevrolet Aveo (or Kalos, since its sold under its original Daewoo name in Italy). It is LP gas powered, and CHEAP to fill and run! So why only over there?
And BTW, its our BIG car! The Chevy Matiz which is our small car, would be great in cities here. -

But guess what at this point we have more oil then those damn terrorist nations. We need to drill and use it now while we creating new energy saving technology. Let's be real, creating new energy saving technology will take several decades. Common sense shows that while the price of oil is being controlled by those terrorists, we cannot wait for 30 years and do nothing for the sake of saving wildlife. In Canada right now there is a booming oil industry, and guess what the bears and the trees are still alive. It is about time to put human beings first, not animals and trees. Why don't the leftist media explainthis concept clearly to the masses.

Well the price of gas is $10.00 a gallon in France. That what the environmentalists are counting on. They want the price of gas to increase and pushing their agenda while blaming the oil companies . They want us to stop driving. All that charade about questioning the oil CEOs is politic. They want us to change our lives, walk, use bike and awful public transportation, while they are riding their limos and private jets. It is all about socialism, it is all about controling us, is is all about global health, not US needs. We need to know that the more restriction that they put on the oil companies, the more we will pay at the gas pump. And that is the agenda of these radical tree huggers (reverse psychology ( we will stop using our cars when we cannot afford to buy gas by making us think that all the problems come from the oil companies).. we the people need to take control of our own lives and put drilling in our ballots, so we can vote on it . I heard the crazy Maxime Walters in Congress threaten the oil CEOs that the government will take control of the Oil companies and "socialize the oil industry". What a moron! The government cannot even take care of the postal services nor DMV. Wait for a hold up of the oil industry by Obama and you will see the cost of gas.

Comment: The answer is to use the oil that we have in Alaska, Utah and Texas to say the least and built more power plants. It is unreasonable to think that we are not going to pay more for gas when we are dependent on the terrorists to furnish us our oil. They want to control the US Election and put their cousin Barack Hussein Obama, that is the reason that they are doing black market. The enviromentalists like GORE and Obama have their 10,000 Sqft mansions, their private jets and their many big luxurious SUVs. However, they want to dictate our lives. Obama said that the American people must be ashamed of their attitudes and that we must use small uncomfortable cars, live in shacks, and not keeping our houses at 72 degrees in summertime. Hell no!!! This is not the old Soviet Union. France, a country that the American leftist enviromentalists seem to admire more than the US, is using nuclear energy as a source of power, and I don't hear the enviromentalist maniacs complaining. We cannot survive with that crazy mentality of saving the bears rather than saving ourselves. There is a cultural war going on and it's for all the marbles. The radical environmentalists will shut down our way of life if we let them. They have bought into this sham totally. The problem is that there is no voice of reason coming from that movement. They want to go whole hog. There is also no voice of reason from the democrat party. They are all solidly in step. We need to understand what is at stake and be ready to fight for what we believe and I mean fight for real. The global warming legislation that is before Congress will change our way of life forever. Those of us who can think and reason need to put pressure on our representatives to oppose this bill. Not all scientists believe that using the oil will hurt our planet. There's enough oil in Alaska, and the massive oil field that they just found in North Dakota, to last us over 50 years. Hopefully, we'll find alternative energy sources way before that. It buys us some time, without me having to decide if I can afford to drive to work today or feed my kids breakfast. If gas prices get to be $5.00+ per gallon, I WILL have to make that decision. At that point, I value my children more than what little harm is being done to the planet.

Are we talking about the polar bear that is more populous than ever before but is 'endangered' due to predictions of doom by scientific models that don't match what has already occurred? And the first lawsuit is not to stop the global warming gases that supposedly are causing this ice shrinkage but off-shore drilling that won't be anywhere near the polar bears' ice range by this wonderful modeling?

We need all the oil and gas we can get until alternative energy technology is ready for prime time. We need drilling in ANWR, and offshore , windmills, nuclear energy. It will take 10-20 years until we can start reducing oil dependence and we'll need all the oil and gas we can get for the economy to grow. If we wait, we'll have to resort to the 250 year supply of coal which will be worse for the environment.

While we develop alternative energies, we will still need the current technology of oil and gas. We need to drill for as much and anywhere it is possible, including ANWR and offshore. It will take 10-15 years to get the alternative energies including nuclear developed. Our economy cannot stand a shortage of fossil fuels otherwise we would have to resort to the 250 year supply of coal we already have which would be worse for the environment.

$26 billion for a new pipeline?!!! That's almost 10 times this year's budget for alternative energy research! ($2.7 billion)
Where are our priorities when we outspend new technology vs. the old destructive status quo by more than 9 to 1? (Actually we outspend by a much higher ratio. The $26 billion for this pipeline is just a drop in the bucket.)
