The one thing i know is (there is nothing impossibel) If he want he can change the hole system and put new law for the crime so i think it will help to the foreigners to inveast the money in south africa and with investor we can bring our econmey up.So please he must also think around and do some thing for the foreigners.

Democracy is the name of great patience.
In case their no patience it there is no democracy.

What is doing in the country and poor people it is unforgetable.
Peo0le are passing through a ordeal but leaders are sticking to theie points.

History is witness under British domination never such circumstances were created so advice the both the leaders once again accepte uk domination because they have no ability to run the country and democracy

It is need of the day United Nation should interfair ro save the life of those has come to earn livlihoodf rom other countyries.

The reason for hte riots is poor governance, leading to rife insecurity, joblessness, largely ignorant (though sometimes learned) population, lack of awareness of what the nations around them did for them during their struggle against apartheid, Mbeki's lack of meaningful intervention in Zimbabwe etc

The immigrants themselves certainly did not go to S.A. to commit crimes but I'm sure some do; if stories we've heard like the man from Zim who collapsed and died after going 2 weeks without food as he awaited documentation to allow him access to services or work is to be believed, I can see why some people would resort to crime. If as a refugee you have no aid and no way to earn an honest living, it stands to reason that you won't sit by and wait to die.
On the other hand, a lot of Africans in S.A. are making an honest living and envy is what has caused the backlash against them. That many South Africans cannot seem to fathom that a foreigner especially a fellow African can come into their country and run a successful business when they themselves have not been able to do the same. I heard another S. African say that the food prices have risen and that's why they are 'protesting'. Food prices are rising all over the world and nobody should be expected to sell at a loss to appease the locals.
Crime in South Africa has been a problem long before the influx of foreigners so please don't blame them for your crime statistics. It was also notable that those who torched people, looted property and raped were protesting the foreigners criminal behaviour. The irony!!!!

The reason behind the murderous riots..? Is that these foreigners, many of them illegal..are swamping the job market. Locals are finding it increasingly difficult to get jobs.The government needs to tighten up immigration laws and dealing effectively with rioters.

Giving them guns..as one commenter said below, is just a stupid spew of words....

give every one of the FOREIGNERS a gun !!!have them def there selfs you kill a few of them rock throwing nuts! it will put a stop to it !!!!!!!!or let the not so smart pep living where theres no food no work keep killing peps !!!

This is very sad indeed. Of course having a totally incompetent government does not help either. But this problem is not new to Africa. There has always been violence against "foreigners" in almost every African country over the past few decades for one reason or another.
