I don't think these road shows will work till the party changes to what it was at the time of independence rather than what it is now , party of sycophants

Rahul Gandhi's intentions are good. There should not be any doubt about it. But he has to understand that even in today's "instant" world, poeple cannot feel bound with him - and his party - "instantly" over his occasional meetings with them, many a times just during his pre-election campaigning days. His party has to support him a lot more in his sincere efforts and let him explore his own potential as a worthy leader.

Its rather strange!!! , A major reason that a vast majority of Indians live in poor conditions is because of the misrule of Congress, as the article mentions , Rahul Gandhi's Party has ruled India for 48 of the 60 years since Independence, the party and its brokers have come up time and again with schemes to swindle tax payer money. There is very little that anyone from the Gandhi family has tried to do about Corruption.

Seems that the writer has either a lack of knowledge about Indian Politics, or has deliberately tried to ignore the serious failings of Congress at Governance. Writer should have mentioned that the great hope of congress, had shown no inclination to politics until 2004, in fact has spent most of his adult life outside of India, became MP and a General Secretary without any significant achievements. The fact is that Rahul is a Crown Prince who has inhereted power, this fact cannot be disputed. Except for photo Ops like visiting the poor in their huts, has done little of note, the Congress has been routed in states where Rahul has been used as a star campaigner., KARNATAKA being the most recent example, UP another one and Gujarat , and that is just going back 18 months.

Little has happened over the past 4 years in terms of economic reforms which would bring benefit to low income groups and the scion of Gandhi family has been bereft of any policy ideas in the past 4 years.
