Wal Mart concerned about the environment ? The Super Wal Mart in Coos Bay, OR doesn't have the reuseable tote bags where anyone can see them! You have to ask to even know they exisit!! Truly concerned and working toward the greater good ?, I don't think so.

yes! In the way they have left the ideals, values & morals set by thier founder...the company has turned into every wrong thinking over the fence out of control spoilt brats...unfortunately that is the mirrored image of the founders children...if you look closely at them you will understand the direction Wal-Mart is traveling. I personally have chosen to go back to the old fashion way of shopping...I go to the mom and pop market, the farmers market, the shoe store, the farm & garden store, the hardware store yes it intails more time and a little bit more gas....but I am supporting individuals that live in my community, they are polite, kind and eager to help in any way. If they do not have a product they politely get it for me and call me when it comes in...I refuse to shop where they have to pay a person to greet you, they refuse to help you, they will not look you in the eye, they sell mostly imported products that they own the sweat shops for, it used to be that if three people were in line someone will open a register...now they just stand around talking while the lines of two or three (in a store of 20-30 registers) feed into the aisles...the majority of thier help are inable to speak without seething thier disdain for the customer. No, I do not spend my hard earned money on a company whose main purpose is to destroy the small towns and ruin the individual factories they encourage to enlarge production only to have the contract pulled from them so that when they can't pay for the improvements they are forced to close or sell out...and to who...the ones that caused the problem "in good faith" in the first place...drive past the superstore and into town, meet your neighbors and enjoy your shopping experience...Wal-mart has gone to the devil...do not support the devil!

so let's see---we are fervently against "socialist" universal healthcare and yet will criticize billion-dollar multi-national corporations that choose to provide healthcare to their grossly underpaid workers who stand no chance of affording it on their own? what, exactly, are we for? other than waging war on the less fortunate and indirectly killing poor people, that is.
