It's clear this sort of tactic and technology is key to winning 21st Century wars. I read two really good books out on this topic. The first, MANHUNTING: REVERSING THE POLARITY OF WARFARE, argues that this how wars of the next century will be fought. The author traces the history of this sort of operation, and provides recommendations on how to make "manhunting" a formal national security option. The second book, CRUSH THE CELL: HOW TO DEFEAT TERRORISM WITHOUT TERRORIZING OURSELVES, makes a point that these are the types of tactics needed to counter terrorists. Thanks Newsweek -- this was a great article, and highlights a transformational aspect of combat operations.

NOW JUST A MINUTE: ALL THEM DRONES FLYING ALL OVER THESE COUNTRIES AND THEY CAN'T LOCATE THAT Ben (whatever his name is) that ordered the destruction of over 300 lives on 911? Oh, Cheney and Bush was in power then too. They should have been watching the drone monitors, by now, one would think.

    BlueFoxOne, you're so silly.

If Bush really was a dictator and did this kind of thing to individuals, he'd have a drone over YOUR house right now. Ooooooooo, maybe you'd better go outside and look!

Most people both in and out of the US have no idea how much effort (and causalties) the US takes to prevent the famous 'collateral damage.' Here are more examples of the changing battlefield. I seriously doubt with globalization of the economy that a major war could happen again. Any major nation who went to war against another large nation would destroy its own economy in the first strike. The current and future wars are being fought with small weapons accurately delivered. The Air Force and Navy are working on smaller and more accurate missiles and bombs dropped from longer distances.

Sooner or later the civilian population where the insurgents hide will figure out that the US kills a few civilians, but the insurgents kill mostly civilians. This is because the insurgents kill for the purpose of killing alone and you can't 'kill' a lifeless drone who guides a missile or bomb fired miles away by an aircraft he can't even see, or hit if he does see. Once the civilian population gets this far they will start turning in the insurgents and there goes another hiding place. When the insurgents get outside the city the drones will make travel so hazardous that getting an effective fighting force together and on a target will be almost impossible.

This also keeps the US military more and more out of harm's way. Even the brave soldiers who go in harm's way will be safer and more effective. This is a 'holy war' and God favors the side with the biggest weapons.

I would not be surprised if Dictoator Bush and "Homeland Security" dont have several (or more) in the US air right now. IN fact, I bet a couple of them are keeping an eye on McClennen and everything he does! LOL
