Islam is a evil, violent, repressive religion. It needs to be wiped off the face of the earth.
Islam is a evil, violent, repressive religion. It needs to be wiped off the face of the earth.
People like you make others believe things like that. You dont know thing about Islam. The only problem in this world is the POLITICS and those who believe in it. Islam is about peace and family. The only reason they are in the war is because other people like USA cant leave them alone and they are not just going to watch their people getting killed they have to fight and protect their country and family. Its like when someone brakes into your home and you kill them what do you say "IT WAS SELF DEFENSE" right. Like i said earlier people like Bush and every other politicians are the onec whoare making this world HELL.
Relagion cant be evil only people can. It would help if you start reading something that would help you learn what every religion represents.
religion represents crazy people who believe in things they cannot see.
AMEN BROTHER!!!
hey teufel, are you german...cuz if i recall you exterminated a race of people. before you call a religion "evil, violent, and repressive" do some homework and learn what it actually teaches, not what the media and some zealots make it out to be. im sure germany is a beautiful country, but if i went be the history channel, it should be dismantled and "wiped off the face of the earth." and before you go spewing your mouth off, just know that i dont agree with what the saudis are doing because religion should be a private affair and not imposed on society or others. just dont be a biogot, it makes you look less than intelligent.
living your life based on a book writin by man pretending to be god makes you less intelligent why don't you go read the bible and see how cruel your god is before you go spewing off your view look back, every war has been started by GOD and it's followers i wish there was a god so he could take all of you back to were ever it is you think you are going when you die.
o and these ppl talking abt tradition...once it was tradition in america to have slaves and beat them and repe their women. WHY did we get rid of that??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Selena, you have it backwards. What the Saudis are doing to Egyptian culture is the equivalent of slavery. The Egyptians and their cultural ways are the equivalent of the slaves here. And so in that sense, yes the Saudis should be gotten rid off the way that slavery was stopped.
Bellydancing, alcohol, and creative liberty in the entertainment field are by no means traditions that need to be abolished!
I love KSA! when i walk in the street me (and my husband) dont have to ba bombarded with an onslaught of boobs, legs, and torsos. if i like that, why cant i have it?
Then go live there. Everybody has a place they would better like to be then the place that they are at.

I am an American and I do not recognize my country. I frequently hear people say, some one should do something. Science and faith must come to terms and make a reasonable convergence. Due to our diversity peoples, value demands are open markets with principals set by scientific values, while other lands and peoples serve spiritual principals that are supported by the systems that suuport those principals. Perhaps this web site will help every one who wants to understand more about convergence of science and faith. http://www.webs.ez1020.com
Great! The best of this entire nation are pious, something obscure here in the US. Those poor women were duped into dancing for money, it's the same as strip teasing. This move will help Egyptians God willing to have more regard for women and make women value themselves more by refraining from degrading jobs, and create a better way for women in need to earn a living.
most of the ppl here are falling into the prob that usa is notorious for...sticking their unwanted noses into something that does not in any way concern them. guess what? ksa is a lot closer to egypt than we are. in fact there is just a small body of water between them. my point it...if they want to make egypt more like them why is that more wrong than americans wanting to make so much of the world more like them???
the uniqueness of egypt is that although being an islamic country, egypt is free, modern and open for many generations. the preservation and promotion of this uniqueness is all that matters.
Too bad Egypt doesn't threaten Saudi Arabia with invasion. Egypt would win.
Angelheart............Please go live over there with them if you do not like it here. Believe me, there are a lot of folks here that do not like the groups that try to control American society anymore than you like the cheap & vulgar things you are talking about. The only difference is, you can turn off the Paris Hilton. You can't turn off a gang that wants to arrest you or kill you because your skirt (or pants) are above your ankles.
Leave Egypt to the Egyptians! The Saudi's need to leave us alone. Egypt has both Muslims and Christians, and belly dancing is a CULTURAL thing, not religious! Let's leave religion out of this, and look at how other countries are trying to control OUR Egyptian Culture!!! If you go back to history, Belly Dance traces back to historical times.
Redleopard- thats not just the Saudis though..that mindset resides everywhere.... Believe it or not.
True; but some places are stricter than others about such things.
This is something that needs a check. Is it really about money? 'coz I don't think anybody is as rich as the Egyptian. Is it about the power of decision? i don't really think so. influence? probably. business policy? maybe. whatever it is, it is definitely less than the egyptian uniqueness that has existed for generations - although being islamic, no other country is as free, modern and open as egypt. what matters is the preservation and promotion of this uniqueness.
Heres the hypocrisy of the Saudis. The "elitists" of society run & play along with their western counterparts yet they demand that the average Saudi citizen obey the religious laws. "Do as I say!---Not as I do!
plus they always smell really bad and u can ask any1 u want, they dont take showers purposely to harm sunnis.
lol that is seriously an oximoron...book on wahabis by a jew. u think he'll be biased? nah...not a chance.
funny coincidence actually...i was gonna mention that the first shia's were jews and their whole ideology comes from the jews...in case ur not aware there were tons of jews in medina and they hated the prophet and were jeolous of him.
Unfortunately when I was in Egypt I never got to see belly dancers because time did not permit. But I did get to see the pyramids which were fantstic! I have seen belly dancers in Spain, which really were a sight to behold!
One day before I die...i wish to see the Great Pyramids...of course going there and being American might have its down sides...
Yeah; Egypt as with most of the Middle East is no longer a safe place for Americans or Europeans to travel anymore. Ironically Middle Easterners seem to have little problems travelling outside their worlds.
anyway...shiaas add something to the religion that was never there before and they curse the companion's of the prophet like omar and anu Bakr, may allah be pleased w them. plus i work in the grand mosque in medina and u can ask me abt the way they try to harm sunnis...one lady once tried to take her bloody pad in and throw it on the gate which leads into the graves of omar and abi bakr (not open to any1)
Fanaticism is breeding an ugly world with perverse morals and obscene mentalities.Sad,sad world when beauty is stripped from her to replaced by perverse action and belief, and they got a foot hold in the US as well, sad, sad.
I lived in Saudi Arabia a little over a year. During that time I came to know many Saudis and arab people from many different countries. It is true that the Saudis regard themselves as better than most of the other arabic people and they flaunt their wealth blatantly. The Saudis magic carpet is fueled and protected by the USA and it is a bit of a vicious circle. The Saudis I worked with were constantly engaging me to embrace Islam, It reminded me of the born again Christian days back in high school. I am not a religious person and do not like anyone imposing their beliefs on me.
identity of the egyptian people
I agree with you Rock1955. You are right on about the Saudi's! Unfortunately Egypt is a poor country. The Saudi's vacation there and that puts food in their children's mouths. Money is ruling the U.S. too. Money, power, ignorance and the fear of the unknown often diverts us humans from standing up for what is right. God bless you guys who stand up for the US.
