On top of this, they teach things like you cannot be friends with a non-Muslim, etc. Prophet Muhammad's religion never became the fastest growing religion in the world because he didn't want to meet non-Muslims.. People with this mentality should be taken to a firing squad and shot to death..

while i agree with you about the fact that religions have constantly fueded throughout , i think your statements are misguided. Those who are truly religious and follow the beliefs or their respective religion don't seek to subjugate other religions nor "control and dictate" other peoples' lives. I don't hold my muslim nor my jewish friends with "hatred and utter disdain" as you say. What you must realize is that when the wrong people come to power no matter what mechanism may be behind it, hatred and death will ensue. Whether it be racism, religious discrepancy or what have you, there are always going to be evil people who, unfortunately, have a perfect guise to carry out their evil plans. Organized religion saves so many people from unhealthy life styles and in more extreme cases jail, or death that you cannot overlook the good that it does no matter what religion you believe in.

Islam is no more vile or evil than any other organized religion. Each one has its overzealous nutjobs, and each one attempts to encourage people who don't think like they do to conform to their standards. You see it with Christianity every day in the United States. Want evidence? Think gay marriage, think polygamy, think pornography, think abortion. Each of these things are legislated based on moral principles. Where do morals usually come from? Religion.

That isn't to say that religion is wrong, or bad. It isn't. It's only when we try to push one religion's agenda on non-believers that it becomes a problem.
