Obama's Brain Trust

Isn't it interesting that practically every advisor listed was a member of the Clinton administration. I guess Bill and Hillary know what they are doing after all.

This nation sorely needs Obama as President. From what he has shown in the campaign, he is cool under fire, knows how to stay positive, and picks the right people and strategies. Those who carp about mino distractions (like what a former pastor says without Obama's consent) are simply looking for an excuse to cover over their own deep seated prejudices, some of which are racial and others not. It is time we as a nation grew up and accepted a person's qualities without reference to race or religion. Obama has the right stuff. Argue with his policies, if one must, but keep the coming debate civil. As for McCain, his carping about how to disagree with him is to 'surrender' is bombastic at best. Obama does not need to debate McCain if all McCain can offer is platitudes based on flawed stubborn reasoning. Enough already.

It is time voters realize that electing Obama is not just about the man but about electing a Democratic
Administration conprised of thousands of the best and brightest. We will need all of them to sort out the mess Bust and the Republicans have made. Stop grousing about Obama's bio and focus on tha fact that he won the nomination against all odds by putting together a masterful campaign strategy and has shown that his JUDGEMENT stands up very well to anyone, especially to McCain. If the Democratic party is in for a fight this fall, all Democrats should be thankful Obama is carrying the standard.

Oh, it's so nice to see Newsweek and the New York Times so happy about their new play toy Obama. They just cannot contain their glee about the possibilities for the first black president...Now their guilt for America's racist past can finally be washed away and now the world will finally be able to love America again.

Next week Newsweek will be doing an article on what interior decorating changes Michelle Obama is planning on.

Some of you that have read this article didn't get it, it appears. Johnjohno he is putting together advisory committees that are well versed in these 2 critical areas (FA and ECON) which read pro active to me, what didn't you get from your read.
He may not have the experiance but he has the smarts to put a group together that may be equipped to handle the task.
Having run a few large companies over the past 3 decades advisors become nessesary so all your basis are covered i.e. it was difficult to know all that needed to be, so a good attorney, accountant, insurance specialist, marketing head, personal director etc. are needed to work as a team to bring it all together. So maybe the mountain is where you need to bury your head for a last row seat. You just may miss a turn a round for the better.

johnjohn06219 How do you equate Obama's "inexperience" with the downfall of the American way of life? Remember that Abraham Lincoln, whom we probably all would agree was a pretty darned good President, only served on term in the House of Representatives and did not have in impressive 2 years while in the House.

Do any of you truly feel that Obama is the answer to all of our problems. I agree the Republican party, Bush mainly, have gotten our fine country into a mess that will take years to correct, but Obamas experience, or lack of is not an answer. Tell me one piece of legislation he has proposed since being in the Senate, other than a bill to make him look like he is doing something constructive. Oh well he has won the Democratic nomination, and he will surely beat John McCain in the general election. I think I will just hide my money, collect cans of food, and get some place high on a mountain so I have a front row seat for the downfall of the American way of life.

i think the substance of obama's foreign policy is what separates him from his opponents. moreover, i think this stance is needed and a breath of fresh air. the advisors he is choosing are those that were ignored before the war by washington. now, the proper judgement will prevail.

I thought Obama's strongest point was change in Washington. Why if he is so different from the Clinton is he using their advisors? Don't you people get it? he isn't different than any other politician, if he was this would have been a totally different campaign.
