        After listening to Hillary Rodham Clinton's speech to the AIPAC early this morning, well it was early for me, LOL! I believe that Sen. Clinton would make a much better Secretary of State than a VP, a position the pundits claim she is over qualified for because she would be unhappy not having that much to do. ITA, Hillary is sharper than that and worth more to our country than that. She has earned a better place in Obama's Cabinet. Besides all of the debates she has won, her revealing interview with Bill O'Reilly, and now her magnificent speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Sen. Clinton has convinced me that she is too good, and too important to our country's state of affairs to be a mere VP. Under the Constitution, the President of the United States determines U.S. foreign policy, but The Secretary of State, appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate, is the President???s chief foreign affairs adviser. The Secretary carries out the President???s foreign policies through the State Department and the Foreign Service of the United States, a position, for which I believe Hillary has show she is legitimately and immensely qualified.

    trooper101st Your diagnosis is correct - the preeminent threat to the US today is from Pakistan, and the Bush administration policy to deal with it has been counterproductive - or as GAO reported - nonexistent
    though technically the threat is from FATA more than the neighboring NWFP. YOur cure is not so good - as an apparent military guy should study your COIN Field Manual - bombing is secondary to political means.
    But even given your cure, it is Obama has already apparently has already changed US policy when he announced that he would pursue targets across ithe border if Pakistan would not. Though he was demagogued at the time, the CIA shortly after started sending predators accross the border. Not only this but Obam sent a letter to Bush detailing the lack of action on this same issue, and sounding the same alarm you do, in mid-2007. So if you would check out Obama - simply by going to his Senate website - you would see that he is the one candidate who has thought ab out this issue, and cares about it as much as you do. You don't have to wait to see where is heart and head is - contrary to the MSM propaganda that he is nothing more than ampty rhetoric. Just the opposite this country is extremely fortunate to have someone who will have the competence to the White House for the first time in nearly three decades.

    Its great to talk. Do you think ANY progress can be gained by talking to people who are committed to our destruction? If Obama has the guts, he will let US forces bomb those 30 plus camps in the NWFP's to dust. The P-stani's have ceded these lands to the t-ban/AQ, and have given up claim to them. I see a hostile gov. across the border, so we should smash it, tell the p-stani's, who HATE us, stay outta the way. This is where they plan these attacks, and the next one may be a WMD attack. We will see where Obama heart and head is soon enough.

    Woah Augustmando! That is a very racist comment to make. You need to relax a little bit. Michelle Obama being "racist" is not grounded in fact - at all. Oh, and last time I checked Barak is the one running for office.
    By the way, it's very annoying when people write in all caps. I get it - you're angry.

    A TV forum to advise the next president, which included Colin Powell, Henry Kissinger, Madeline Albright, James Baker and others, was very enlightening indeed. Powell thought it good to talk to foreign heads of state, including friends and foes, He especially encouraged listening to what they have to say. Albright emphasized being the leader in the battle against Global Warming. It's a pbs series.
