Maybe this will help. Before all you Hillary supporters blow a gasket, you should review this transcript from her strategy sessions. I think you will find it very enlightening:

Coming out of Super Tuesday, I am going to win, time to coast ...

Oops, wrong about that, maybe I shouldn't have ignored the cacuses ...

Bill, for God's sake, will you just shut up ...

I know, let's blame it on the media ...

That's not working, maybe we should convince everyone that West Virgina is the most important state in the Presidential race ...

That didn't work either, I know, let's get them to seat the Michigan and Florida voters, maybe no one will notice that I was fine with stripping those states of their delegates at the beginning of the nominating process or that I cheated in Michigan by leaving my name on the ballot ...

Still no joy, I got it, let's make everyone believe that the delegates don't matter and it is all about the popular vote ...

Oops, I didn't win the popular vote ...

I just want to be President ... waaaaaa ... *stomp* *stomp*

So you see, Obama didn't cheat at all. As the NBC public service commercials as "Now You Know *****"

OMG! I actually agree with Ziggy here. You must have put that joint down when you posted this. Clear thoughts ... I like it.

Thanks, but I am now reconciling with the Hillary supporters so we can go after McCain. As I recall, you are a libetarian - I actually agree with some of their ideology, but let's face it, they're not quite there yet as a viable third party - perhaps some day, but not today. I respect your right to hold your decision until you have more information - I think Obama is going to do a good job convincing you and others like you. We''ll see!

Obama says to each of his audience what each wishes to hear. Promises nothing but glory, beauty, riches, heaven on Earth, and praise the Lord, etc. Beware of this eloquent actor, if I ever saw one.

      No Promises.
Obama let's you know what he hopes to acheive, with all of our help.
Mccain wants to continue to keep us imprisoned in poverty.

  • Posted By: dking312 @ 06/07/2008 12:33:44 AM

MCCocaine on the issues. Just to let you guys know, I don't just vote for Barack because he is who he is, I actually think this John guy is full is crap, and I don't agree with his way of thinking, his policies, NOTHING>
Who seriously agrees with this guy?
    Abortion:
McCain believes Roe v. Wade should be overturned, and that the abortion question should be left to the individual states to legislate. He has called abortion a human tragedy, and believes community action can go far in "the fight for life" by promoting alternatives to abortion and providing expectant mothers with the necessary support.
    Energy/Environment:
McCain is the chief co-sponsor of a bill that sets mandatory caps on greenhouse emissions. His plan would allow companies to trade excess carbon emission capacity, and would require emissions to return to 2004 levels by 2012 and to 1990 levels by 2020. McCain wants to see more investment in alternative-energy sources such as nuclear power, ethanol, fuel cells, bio-diesel, and natural gas. He believes ethanol will play a big part in energy independence.
    Immigration:
McCain wants a comprehensive immigration reform bill that would improve border surveillance and enforcement, strengthen penalties against those who hire illegal immigrants, and stop document fraud. He wants to develop a guest worker program that allows illegal immigrants to earn legitimate status. McCain sponsored the 2006 comprehensive immigration reform bill. Had it passed, it would have allowed some illegal immigrants already in the U.S. to work and apply to become legal residents after learning English, paying fines and back taxes, and clearing a background check. McCain believes that securing the borders is one of the federal government's most important obligations.
    Iraq:
McCain thinks Bush's strategy in Iraq can succeed, and that if the U.S. fails to stabilize Iraq now, the threat of terrorism against American interests will grow. McCain has strongly criticized Democrats who support a troop withdrawal timeline, but has also criticized the administration for mishandling the war. He says Donald Rumsfeld will be remembered as one of the worst secretaries of defense in history.
    Taxes:
McCain says tax cuts work best in conjunction with lower spending. He blames excessive spending for Republican losses in the 2006 elections. McCain was one of two Republican senators to oppose the 2001 tax cuts, arguing that too many of the benefits went to the most fortunate at the expense of the middle class. He also opposed the 2003 tax cuts. McCain says he would not raise taxes, but that he would not go as far as to sign a pledge to that effect. He believes a repeal of the estate tax isn't necessary.
Mental note: Before Repubs took control of congress, we were spending about 8 million for earmarks. Then, Rupubs wanted to let EVERYBODY do it...we then went to 27 million....all earmarks.

    Nins,
I did check out your link. Ain't that something? I hope plenty more take a look at this and see that the John Mc NO NO that they want to vote for is a presumptive nominee hasbin who scratches Bush's ass BARE whenever asked, has only stared trying to disassociate himself from the current administration for the purpose of fooling us and getting in the white house to continue the work of the evil & the greedy.
    KUDOS.
Did you see this goofy dude stumbling in his "Green backdrop" speech? An audience member asked him something he didn't want to talk about, and I mean he stumbled HARD. Then, a second guy asked him again(Because he only stumbled, he never actually gave an answer), and he let's the guy get the statement ALL THE WAY OUT, then he says he was going for the guy behind him!
Dude won't pimp my vote this election year, and I hope nobody else is that silly.

How 'bout a repost: Any thoughts?

Here's the "TRUE" Democratic rankings list based on proven LEADERSHIP ABILITIES and overall QUALIFICATIONS: (And I'm not a Democrat!)

    1. Bill Richardson
    2. Joe Biden
    3. Chris Dodd
    4. John Edwards
    5. Hillary Clinton
    6. Dennis Kucinich
    7. Barack Obama

Gee, go figure! Democrats had a real shot at taking back the W.H. this time around and you folks BLEW IT!

Do Democrats really believe that this ROOKIE from Chicago, ILL is going to beat John McCain come November? Granted, he has got a much better chance than HRC would have; nevertheless, it's still a long shot! The Dem Party never learns do they? This was supposed to be a walk in the park for you folks this election year. But no, IMHO, you folks chose to present America with TWO of the weakest Democratic Candidates and then have the audacity to call it a historic primary race. Please!

Had you put forth one of the real top-tiered candidates like Richardson, Biden (even Al Bore) your party would have walked right into the Oval Office. No doubt! In fact, I probably would have voted for either Richardson or Biden. Heck, a "Richardson / Biden" Ticket would have been the HOT TICKET!

But nooooooo ... you folks tried to shove two of the most unqualified candidates down the American people's throat just to boost the amount of new Democratic voter registration among African Americans, Women, and College Kids. Well ...

I guess only time will tell if your brilliant planned worked. Personally, I don't think so, but we shall see.

I think we ALL NEED to pray on this election!!!

    • Posted By: summer1216 @ 06/06/2008 1:59:39 PM

I think Barack Obama is going to mop up John McCain in the general election.

      • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 06/06/2008 5:23:49 PM

I am looking forward to one of the Obama/McCain town hall meetings that McCain suggested. It should be quite amusing. We may get to see McCain either drool or go nappy!. I know that people age differently, but McCain is definitely not a young type of 71 yr. old.

        • Posted By: Nins @ 06/06/2008 11:45:11 PM

What I'm waiting for is to see McCain get MAD AS HELL on national television. His famous short fuse is bound to show, if you watch him long enough. Do you remember when Ross Perot got pissed off while debating Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton? Up until that night he had the lion's share of the popular vote. But once people saw him throw a tantrum, it was over, and he had to bow out of the campaign.

I can't wait to see McCain commit the same kind of irreversible political gaffe. In his case it would be even worse, since he is given to foul language, calling men "Sh!thead", women "Cu^t" and frequently using the F word when he is angry. I wonder do they have bleep machines at live political debates?

For ancecdotes about McCain's nasty temper and some history of his politicall career, see this article:

Actually, I'm uncommitted at this point. I just might vote for Bob Barr (Libertarian Party). We'll see. Keeping my options open, gotta see what JM has to say during the GE campaigning.

Let's face, he's not the most inspirational speaker and I'm quite sure it's gonna show when he goes up against the Harvard Kid in the GE debates.

Bottom line, I'm gonna listen for substance---not empty "hope & change" rhetoric that BO learned as the captain of the Harvard Debate Team ... hehehe.

A vote for McCain is NOT a vote for Hillary. A vote for McCain is a vote for Geo. W Bush.

There are many McCain supporters on this blog posing as Clintonites, urging you to vote for McCain. There are other McCain supporters trying hard to stir up resentment between the pro-Clinton and the pro-Obama Democrats. All of them are trying to manipulate your mind. Don;t forget that your mind belongs to you.

Clintonites everywhere have to ask themselves some hard questions. I know that Obama has been your rival in the Democratic primary, but it pays to know who your real allies are. If you voted for Clinton because you believe in her policies, you would NEVER vote for McCain, whose political stand is OPPOSITE to Clinton's. Even if your don't like Obama or you are ticked off at the fact that Hillary didn't get the nomination, remember, it is not about who you like as much as it is about WHAT they will do in office. Obama's plans and politics are almost identical to Hillary's. Voting for McCain because you are upset that Clinton lost is like shooting yourself in the foot. Do your REALLY want four more years of a failed economy? Do you REALLY want the recession to become another Great Depression?

I am a Republican who decided to vote for Obama, partly because I think he is a great candidate, but even more so because I am very concerned about the economy. Early in the race when it wasn't certain who was going to win the Dem nomination, I used to say that if Obama lost I would vote for McCain. My reason for that was that I'm a Republican, but also because I hated the Bill Clinton drama years, and I just couldn't warm up to Hilary's personality. But two months ago I realized that if Clinton gets the nomination, I would have to vote for her, even though I really don't like her, because voting for McCain would be so dangerous for our economy, which is on the brink of ruin.

I really respected Huckabee's morals and loved his personality, but when I thought it through, I couldn't see him as President, he just wasn't strong enough to tackle the problems facing us today. McCain is in the same boat. You may not like Obama, but you have to admit he ran a great campaign and has some serious chops as a politician. He can get the job done. Hillary could have too. And who knows, she may be the next VP, and in 2016 the first woman President.

      • Posted By: edga @ 06/05/2008 1:29:53 PM

Rocky you are not only confused but totally ignorant of the facts about Obama. He may have ran the best campaign and promise each group according to what they want to hear, but he also has shown his dishonesty in that for 20 years he embraced the philosophy of a hateful group of people, (wright and company) and only now resigned from it due to his political needs. He is an eloquent actor and a false prophet, if I ever saw one.

        • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 06/06/2008 5:21:49 PM

NEWS FLASH, Rocky is definitely not an Obama supporter. I believe he is a republican. Rocky correct me if I am wrong.

          Edga, Rocky was being sarcastic!

i understand you being hurt by the bush adm. and i can see how your not happy by hillary but i've found that obama is somewhat like hillary except on a smaller scale i've read how he knocked peole out of running in chicago instead of running the race fair and square and letting the voters choose who they wanted by him being the only one on the ballot of course he would be the only choice.so it seems unfair but thats chicago politics anyway the reason i'm not going to vote for him is not because i'm racist but because he's untested in the way a country needs to be ran yeah i agree he has good ideas. but so do i and i can say i'm not able to run this country ! its the only problem he has but its a big one ..... after all this country is in a mess and i just can't see some one with so little experiance as able to do the job at hand.. after all he is a jr senator and a community organizer right ???how does that qualify him to run and repair this country ?

  • Posted By: TruthForward @ 06/06/2008 3:22:35 PM

He won't help our veterans and wounded soldiers from Iraq. So I can not vote for him.

  • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 06/06/2008 12:49:37 PM

McSame sucks! He stands for traditional values and lower taxes! I hate that!

Even worse, he refuses to be Ellen DeGen' best man or walk her down the aisle.

BOTTOM LINE! I can't vote for a man who wants to KEEP MY TAXES LOW and SUPPORTS TRADITIONAL MARRIAGES/VALUES! You're out of touch with reality John!

PROGRESSIVES SUPPORT HILLZ / BAMA 08!

Here we go again. McCain keeps saying that he did everything to find out what went wrong after Hurricane Katrina, but he actually voted TWICE to stop the Commission investigating Katrina.

Now, McCain wants to deny the people in Florida hurricane insurance. Florida has more hurricanes than any other state. They need that insurance. And a good, well- run insurance fund (as opposed to a bad, profit-based fund that does anything to avoid paying valid claims, like happened with Katrina) would save the government LOTS of money whenever we have hurricane disasters.

He says he is committed to saving the Everglades, but he voted against the bill protecting the Everglades. He says he voted against it because of pork-barrel spending in the bill. Honestly, when was the last time any politician voted against a bill because of the pork? The fact is, all bills have pork, and that is why allowing lobbyists to rule Washington is bad. It is the lobbys that add the pork, most of the time.

McCain thinks that most Americans aren't paying attention to what is going on in the world, and that he can take advantage of their ignorance. Sadly, he is right. It is up to us to get informed so we know what is going on and can hold politicians responsible for their actions.

McCain for change?! What a bunch of political nonsense. He has been in Washington for how many years and has not had any measurable impact. Now we're supposed to believe that he will make some great changes? Give me a break.

Just because the man has the misfortune of being shot down during the war and spending some time as a prisoner, people are willing to assume that he will make a good leader. Poppycock!

Not true. At one point President Truman had an approval rating of 22%. But Bush's is very low. That's why Obama just won the nomination. If you are upset about Obama's win you can lay the blame at Bush's feet.

HRC is conning her supporters and taking advantage of their emotional support for FINANCIAL gain.

THIS IS WHAT HRC WANTS......FOR YOU TO PAY HER CAMPAIGN DEBT!!!!!

So Clinton, in her speech, once again mentioned the URL of her website, while the URL was all over her podium. You go to her website, and you're met with a petition they're asking visitors to sign:

If you "sign" it, does it go to a "thank you" page? Of course not. It goes straight to her contribution page.

Money$$$$$$$$$$$$ That's why she's staying in. To squeeze her hardest core supporters of the cash necessary to pay off her personal loans to her campaign.

I know you're angry HRC supporters, but don't get used!!!!!!!!!

Listen these Obama supporters hate you!! The primary is over and they are still rubbing your faces in it. If American loyalty alone decided the 2008 election, McCain would win hands down, and Obama's wife and Reverend Wright would be blameworthy for Obama's loss.

Republicans have at least a dozen if not more major criticisms to an Obama election-winning Presidency, and they will use them all, and more, legitimately, to retain the White House. It is not the finest hour for Democrats to embrace Obama and his grand oratorial ability, whether he's black or has blue polka dots, neither of which affect his flaws in a major two party election.
