I would just like to say 2 things:
    1) Can we please stop all of this Obama can't get white working class women voters? I am a white working class woman voter for Obama and have been the whole time! I do not know a single woman who likes Hillary-seriously. I think her supporters are hired actors. What kind of a woman stays with her cheating, lying, sleazy husband to get ahead in her career? Hill -if you as strong as you say you are then you should have gotten rid of Nasty Bill a long time ago and made your own career like the rest of us Hard -Working Real White Women voters! Obama '08
    2) I have been talking to a lot of Republicans that have never voted for a Democrat in their lives and most of them said they are voting for Obama! No one wants a war monger McBush! Hillary voters go ahead and vote for McCain then at least he will have a few votes because the rest of the country is voting Obama '08!
Have a great day! Spread peace and tolerance to future generations! Stop Hatred! God Bless America!

Ewok: "No one wants a war monger McBush!"

Then I won't vote for McBush. I think I'll vote for McCain. He seems very nice!

He is very nice - in a befuddled grandfather sort of way.

This is clear this election has a veteran who has risked all versus a man who dispises everything our
veterans have fought for. This is a race between a candidate who knows the importance of affordable
oail products including gasoline, and one who simply does not have a clue. A race between one who
wants to preserve the wonderful healthcarre system we have with plenty of chices for all, and one
who believes substandard healthcare and long lines is the Ansewer. And this is why the ONLY
McCain will win easily over Obama--Simple common sense, which Obama simply does not have

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 10:21:51 AM

A veteran, for what, about 15 minutes? He crashed 5 planes in training and then was shot down 15 minutes into his first mission. So that makes in qualified as Commander-in-Chief? I thought the idea was for the Commander-in-Chief to win wars.

You're right, he knows the importance of affordable oil products - too bad he doesn't understand the concept of conservation. Ever stop to think that instead of destroying our remaining wilderness for more oil that perhaps we should actually learn to use less gas? Of course not, because that would mean making a sacrifice, which I realize this is a foriegn concept to all you self-absorbed, selfish, Republicans.

And our wonderful health care system - yes, deny the problem - another Republican trait.

        Oh please. List. Your. Sources.

        • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 8:21:20 PM

Sources? We don't need no stinking sources. We're just taking a page out of the Republican play book. If we say it, it must be true!

    • Posted By: the_shelton @ 06/04/2008 12:02:11 PM

I'm a veteran of nine years. I can tell you right now that he does not stand for everything that I fought for. I fought so that my fellows could come home, not for you or any other idiot that thinks war is glorious. The only thing that's glorious to me is a smile of a little baby or walking on a golf course at six o'clock in the morning.

Don't get it confused as to what he is trying to do. You see what these policies are leading to now days. The rules have changed, the old things don't work and never have. Show me one war that did anything good.

Our lack of communication skills lead to war, and from what I saw last night of his communication skills, if he gets in we are in for one hell of a bad future.

      idiot learn how to spell!!!!!

    • Posted By: joe_mama @ 06/04/2008 8:34:44 AM

If "everything our veterans have fought for" means extended tours and less money for college...
If "affordable oil products" means $8 billion in quarterly profits......
If "wonderful healthcare system" refers to the $7K I spent on my son's broken leg (and I have insurance)...

....then by all means: GO MCCAIN!!!!!

  • Posted By: blace613 @ 06/04/2008 2:17:59 PM

McCain actually wants to do something not just talk about it like Obama is good at. McCain never referenced to debates without questions. Everyone wants to talk about how McCain will be like Bush...... he clearly states he wont be...media and naive people want to say that to give another reason not to like McCain. McCain never mentioned to fear him, that is an ignorant statement. Obama says what you like to hear..why? So he could get the vote. Do you honestly think he will do all the things he says? McCain is just being truthful about what he wants to do to this country. I would rather have a honest man than a man who is willing to feed you whatever you want to hear until it comes down to it. Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 03:23:23
Comment: I want to vote for McCain too - I can't wait to have women give up their reproductive rights, have my children killed in Iraq, and watch as every living thing in this country is kiiled so I can fill up my SUV with cheap gas - Woo Hoo !!!
^ That is the most ignorant thing one can say. Women giving up their reproductive rights? Do you know what abortion is? It is killing an innocent HUMAN BEING, you choose to have sex then you should face the consequences. As far as the Iraq comment... war is something we could not avoide, YOUR CHILDREN ENLIST!!!!!!!! It is not a draft!!!! How hard is that to understand??? McCain cares very deeply about the environment. You want to keep filling up for $4.00 a gallon? I dont!! Get a hybrid!!! Not hard!!! If we pull out of the war then guess what.... it will probably get worse, it makes America look bad. It makes it easier for them to target us. A lot of people want to vote democrat because nobody wants rules anymore...gay marriage, abortions, no war. As far as McCain having skeletons in his closet.. do you think Obama or Hillary doesn't? Does no one care about religion anymore?

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 8:18:54 PM

I'm hurt! Do you really think that was the most ignorant thing one can say? How about you're an idiot? Don't you think that is a little more ignorant?

    • Posted By: joe_mama @ 06/04/2008 2:50:52 PM

      blace--
      you're absolutely right:

people who have sex should have to face the consequences--and their children (who grow up in poor health becuase their parents can't afford insurance) can voluntarily enlist in the army and serve an extra year (thanks to Mr. McCain) to earn enough money to pay for the education that will get him a low paying job (thanks to Mr. McCain's corporate welfare--err...tax breaks--that make it cheaper to send good jobs overseas).

Oh, and by the way, it's not my fault if this child's low-paying job doesn't offer health insurance, he should just find an employer that can afford the sky-high premiums that McCain's health care pan (or lack thereof) fails to address....DUH!!!!!

And no, war cannot be avoided--which is o.k. because, unlike abortion, war never kills innocent HUMAN BEINGS.

It's good to people of your compassion and intelligence are representing the Republican party around the 'net.

      Kudos to you.

Hey IDIOT!!!!! McC's voting record over the past 24 months is identical to Bush's. Why do you think his campaign is working so hard to "create" a perception of seperation? It wouldn't be the center-piece of his campaign if the similarities never existed. MORON!!!! That Kool-aid tastes good, doesn't it!?!?!?

  • Posted By: Iamnotamused @ 06/04/2008 7:00:21 PM

I see none of the Hillary naysayers have an answer to my question.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 7:27:24 PM

I think it is a great question - I think the reason you haven't received any answers because you took all their options off the table. Well done!

  • Posted By: teddyo @ 06/04/2008 6:44:45 PM

The sad part he thinks saying he's for change will make people think he's not the same as Bush. This is by far the biggest joke of the campaign.

  • Posted By: Thevail @ 06/04/2008 5:51:29 PM

How amusing...McSame gave a speech on change..

Now watch him turn into porky pig over the very first REAL question in the General Election.

Staying home is not an option. We need a new canidate and McCain is not it. Obama is not my first choice but he will be my last choice. I would like Hillary either on the ticket or somewhere in his cabinet but I will not vote for McCain at any cost. I will give Obama 4 years to show me that he will do everything he has promised in this campaign and if he does not come thru I will vote him back out of office as quickly as he was voted in. Let's all vote no matter what and if you are a women I don't see how you could ever justify voting with the republican party and I especially don't see how you can justify voting republican during this election. We need more liberals in the supreme court not conservatives. Stand up vote and be counted in November or suffer the consequences.

  • Posted By: blace613 @ 06/04/2008 3:35:57 PM

How do you know Obama is strong enough? I have listened to all thier speeches and went to each site and read what they want to do to our country . You can not possibly know how strong one is at this point. I NEVER said Obama was not stong enough. I also NEVER bashed Obama. I said I did not know if he is strong enough because I don't, just like I dont know if McCain is either. I just know waht I believe in and that is McCain's views.

    • Posted By: Kboogie @ 06/04/2008 4:04:34 PM

McC stands for a longer war, w/ no diplomatic solutions. He stands for lower taxes for the rich, and NO tax breaks for the middle-class. He stands for over-turning Roe v. Wade, and controlling the reproductive rights of women. His voting record is idnetical to Bush's over the past 24 months. Don't forget, the country is where it is now b/c of the last 8 years. Oh yeah, one more thing.....Bush has the lowest approval rating in U.S. history. Are those the "views" you believe in? Copying the policies of the past eight years isn't "strength". But, you'll learn.

    Obama for president!

      McCain 08

      • Posted By: Nins @ 06/04/2008 1:10:46 PM

Zombie, I thought you were a Clinton supporter. Were you just pretending before, and always were for McCain, or did you really support Clinton and just now decided to switch?

If you really are a Clinton supporter, then you must agree with Clinton's policies, and you must see that Obama's policies are the same as Clinton's. McCain's policies are the same as Bush's. Do you really want 4 more years of war and economic destruction?

        • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/04/2008 2:57:09 PM

Nope Clinton supporter but I've said repeatedly I'm not voting for Obama, kinda leaves one choice doesn't it. I'm not party loyal because the Dem party isn't loyal to anyone but themselves.
You should read the article on policy issues here on Newsweek. If you would look objectively, you would see a striking similarity between Obama and McCain. I'm not saying Obama is making a right turn but that McCain has and always will be a left leaning Republican. That's why the ultra right hate him sooo much. Thats why Ann Coulter said she would campaign for Hillary if McCain was the GOP nominee.
And who says that Obama's four years at the economy is going to do any better. There are still a lot of uncertainty in his promises, he still hasn't been specific.
I realize that you are going to put party loyalty above national best interests, thats why your voting for Obama.
Since this election started my choices where Hillary, McCain, Biden and Richardson. Three are out only leaves one left.

McCain on Cocaine Just like his little budy Bush....LETS get out of Iraq...Like it's done any good, except for big oil...*** republicans....lets make corparate America richer and the rest of us poorer...Go to war with Iran and lets pay $10 a gal....Vote for McCain and stir up *** in Isreal...Lets send all of our jobs overseas like he did to Boeing........

    Dear ObamaDrama,

You stupid MORON. Read the ENTIRE post before you attempt to respond. I clearly stated, "up until he ran for President, he didn't apologize". And, the apology was "politcally expedient". GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, you old WRINKLED *** of a witch. YOU Republican drone. You're judging Obama based on what others said/did. I'm judging McC based on what HE did. Whether you're planning to spit anymore rugrats out of that old, crusty snatch of yours, is NOT the point. To have a politician control the reproductive rights of ANY woman is unconstitutional. So, oh intelligent GOP wench, look up your facts, and only respond to the posts that you can understand. Otherwise, you prove yourself to be an idiot, so anxious to make a point, you end up embarassing yourself. With all due respect, of course.

A vote for McCain is NOT a vote for Hillary. A vote for McCain is a vote for Geo. W Bush.

There are many McCain supporters posing as Clintonites, urging you to vote for McCain. They are trying to manipulate your mind.

Clintonites everywhere have to ask themselves some hard questions. I know that Obama has been your rival in the Democratic primary, but it pays to know who your real allies are. If you voted for Clinton because you believe in her policies, you would NEVER vote for McCain, whose political stand is OPPOSITE to Clinton's. Even if your don't like Obama or you are ticked off at the fact that Hillary didn't get the nomination, remember, it is not about who you like as much as it is about WHAT they will do in office. Obama's plans and politics are almost identical to Hillary's. Voting for McCain because you are upset that Clinton lost is like shooting yourself in the foot. Do your REALLY want four more years of a failed economy? Do you REALLY want the recession to become another Great Depression?

I am a Republican who decided to vote for Obama, partly because I think he is a great candidate, but even more so because I am very concerned about the economy. Early in the race when it wasn't certain who was going to win the Dem nomination, I used to say that if Obama lost I would vote for McCain. My reason for that was that I'm a Republican, but also because I hated the Bill Clinton drama years, and I just couldn't warm up to Hilary's personality. But two months ago I realized that if Clinton gets the nomination, I would have to vote for her, even though I really don't like her, because voting for McCain would be so dangerous for our economy, which is on the brink of ruin.

I really respected Huckabee's morals and loved his personality, but when I thought it through, I couldn't see him as President, he just wasn't strong enough to tackle the problems facing us today. McCain is in the same boat. You may not like Obama, but you have to admit he ran a great campaign and has some serious chops as a politician. He can get the job done. Hillary could have too.

  • Posted By: Nins @ 06/04/2008 2:25:59 PM

Three speeches were given last night.

McCain said "I am not the same as Bush." He also said "I will make you safe, and you should be very, very afraid of the changes Obama is talking about, because Obama will make you unsafe." He SAYS he is different than Bush, and then pulls out the same worn and faded fear card, thinking we are stupid enough to fall for it again. He also set himself up as a "friend" of Hillary Clinton, in a way that was obviously pandering for the votes of her supporters.

Clinton talked about herself non-stop for her entire speech, sending up her victory in South Dakota, repeating her spurious claim of being ahead in the popular vote, and refusing to concede the race. She gave the kind of speech she would have given had she won the nomination, talking about what she plans to do for the country once she takes office. She barely mentioned Obama, completely avoided the fact that he had won the nomination, and tried to stir up the ire and anger of her supporters.

Obama took the stage and praised Clinton as an able politician and a tough fighter, who has devoted her life to helping the American people. He even thanked Hillary for making him a better candidate. And he made it clear that she would have a place in his cabinet working on health care. Beyond that, he gave a stirring speech about how great America is, and how we are going to solve our current problems and become the best nation we can be, returning to our status as leaders of the free world. He spoke of his admiration for Senator McCain, even as he disagreed with McCain's policies. He spoke warmly of his opponents, and never once talked about himself.

McCain tells you "You should be very afraid!"

Hillary says "It's all about me, me, me!"

Obama says "We all have something good to offer. Let's work together to change our nation for the better."
