I'd like to thank all the new posters for being exactly the same. Operation Chaos is in full swing and the Hills-to-Mc procession plan has been executed by Mr. L. But, most know who you are because you haven't been here before. Please take a number and wait.

One last example: Read the recent comments of Jimmy Carter to The Guardian a British publication regarding Hillary Clinton as a possible VP candidate to join Obama: ???..If you take that 50 percent who just don???t want to vote for Clinton and add it to whatever element there might be who don???t think Obama is white enough or old enough or experienced enough or because he???s got a middle name that sounds Arab, you could have the worst of both worlds,??????.

What AMERICAN CITIZENS need to accept is reality, Obama is a Kenya descendant and his family (grandmother, father, cousins etc.) come from Nyangoma-Kogel in Kenya. His middle name Hussein is an Arab name, very commonly used in Arab countries. There is no way of changing the truth, he was raised partly in Indonesia when he was young, with his mother and stepfather Lolo Soetoro.

There is no such a thing ??????as a middle name that sounds Arab?????? as Jimmy Carter claims.

The truth always prevails and Americans should not feel unconfortable to ONE DAY POSSIBLY HAVE A KENYAN DESCENDANT AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. That is where the reality falls. Already people from Kenya, called Hussein Obama, his brother, as they really feel he belong to them as a Kenyan descendant. See CNN News of today 4 June.

I don't think Clinton should be forced on the ticket, I beleive she can do good to help the party without becoming the VP, just so you understand the VP dont make any decisions at all and this is not Hillary style. She can be part of the administration in charge of reforming health care. That way Bill will be at home doing his on thing until Hillary comes home from work, just like now she is the New York Senator and she goes home to Bill, trying to get them back in the White House with Bills temper will cause big problems, Michelle Obama is not having this nonsense.....

  • Posted By: harley3k @ 06/04/2008 4:41:26 PM

    Another crazy option:

Clinton conceeds, and endorses Obama, on condition that she gets to be VP and that Barack only serves 1 term. He would let her run in 2012. Crazy I know, but I could see her asking for this.

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/04/2008 6:07:17 PM

I cant see that by any stretch of the imagination, but you did preface it with the word crazy. Lol.

  • Posted By: Lakeman29 @ 06/04/2008 5:48:09 PM

to J.Richter: So you are still on here? Obviously you didn't have the courtesy or guts to answer my comments when I called you on your unfactual comments. And now with your last comment you show your TRUE colors of being a racist....

      Actually he did.
      He apologized (sorta) below.

If it is true that Clinton really doesn't want Obama to pick a woman as his VP, then I will lose all respect for Hillary. She says that she is in politics for the people she serves. If this is true, why in God's name would she want to hold a gender monopoly in politics and prevent this country from moving toward a more equitable future.

    • Posted By: dieharddem @ 06/04/2008 5:19:56 PM

Remember this is just Mr. Fineman's opinion. Where he goes off on writing tripe like this is unclear. I wonder if he called Hillary and asked if she would be angry if Obama choose another woman for his Veep. Also, where does he get off thinking women will be pleased with another women on Obama's ticket. Wow, let's keep pandering.

Howard Fineman should start writing "The Scoop" for MSNBC.com -- or maybe partner with former Scoop writer Jeannette Walls for some dishy, cheesy, Washington-insider gossip column. This is nothing more than hear-say from "anonymous sources" who want to pretend that they're in the know. BLECK! Email me when you've got some unbiased, REAL news to report!

I think Senator H. Clinton should go ahead and concede. She should have done the right thing and done it last night like most every other candidate would have done. No,I don't think Senator Obama need to choose her as his running mate. I for one don't want her as VP. I've quite actually heard enough out of her and her husband to last me a lifetime. Besides, has no one not seen that is not her that is pushing for VP, but her husband. Bill is the one who is so hot and heavy to be back in the White House. I'm sure if anyone at all heard Senator Obama's speech last night he has heard Senator Clintons ideas and is more than willing to hear her ideas. I think he will find a place for her or her campaign staff in his on staff. Whether it be on the campaign trail or in his administration should he become President. So all I can say it is time for her to stop trying to grab more press and tv time and concede. I think it just goes to show how self absorbing the Clintons are for her not to go ahead and do so.

The media wants Barak Obama as the Democratic Candidate and they have won. Now they'll start ripping him to shreds to defer the election to Senator McCain. Personally I wanted Clinton as the Democratic Candidate. I said if Obama won, I would vote Republican. If Clinton was named as the VP candidate, I would still vote for McCain. I will not vote for a newbie politician to run this country. It will take experience and toughness to guide this country, qualities Obama does not demonstrate.

    • Posted By: JRGecko @ 06/04/2008 5:41:36 PM

Being experienced just means you are old. And with all that experience, Senator Clinton voted to support the invasion of Iraq. Yeah, I guess you're right--we need to invade Iran

    • Posted By: democrat for life @ 06/04/2008 1:05:37 AM

Can someone please tell me what actual experience she has that he doesn't have?? Obviously he was never married to the President, but I asked for ACTUAL experience

      • Posted By: Mrs. Jones @ 06/04/2008 10:19:39 AM

Well, she is 15 years older, so I guess that means something. She worked for the Children's Defense Fund (for 9 whole months). She served on the board of Wal-mart. OK, I'm out of ideas...

  • Posted By: indie artist @ 06/04/2008 10:39:55 AM

I am a woman and I support Obama. I used to like Hillary, but I have been dissapointed in her mudslinging and her trying to overtly control what is now Obama'a choice. It would be a disaster to have her as the VP. She and Bill would try to control the presidency instead of taking the supporting role that the VP is supposed to be. Obama has consistantly been the "bigger / more mature" person in the primaries. She should take a cue from him and concede the nomination to him with grace and dignity, and then throw her support to Obama. Most of her supporters will take their cue from her.

    • Posted By: davidgergen @ 06/04/2008 5:39:57 PM

It's not even been 24 hours since her last primary win and you talk about grace and dignity? Where's yours? She's been campaigning every day for 17 months and on the night of her last primary win you want her to forgo her celebration with her supporters to appease Obama and the MSM? Utter madness. Think. Just think if it were the other way around. Would you be ragging at him?

Her supporters heard her say she respects their wishes to fight on and will think about it. She of course has already proven she will not in her praise of Obama today. She endorsed his policies to the Jewish community and said he WILL not he WOULD. So get past your own hate and ideas of grace and dignity and relax. She hasn't even had a day off to process everything. If she really wanted to divide the party, she could have stayed in bed and not gone to advocate for Obama in front of the Jewish community who have every right to be concerned about him. She went there as a Democrat to support the Democratic nominee even if you and the MSM didn't get the sound bite they wanted. She deserves to have that moment at a time and place of her choosing - and she deserves to have center stage when she does. You all rant about her holding the Party hostage and how historic it was for a black man to get the nomination. Believe it or not - it's an historic moment in America for women. And how is that being dismissed? If Sen Clinton won think about what the coverage would be about. The fact that a black man got that far would get more play and the fact that she was a woman who won would be completely discounted because her supporters are racist and as my misogynist namesake is fond of saying she got there only because of Bill. So sthating and give her 48 hours to breathe. He's still going to be the nominee and he's still going to need her voters. What better way than to have her take her time - be given some space and then come out and tell her supporters that she considered all they had to say about going on but that it's time to get behind Obama. As it is - her supporters have witnessed continued hate and Hillary bashing at a time when people should be gracious towards her. I know that's a stretch for you Obama supporters and inconceivable to the MSM but it's the truth. And it's also true that he cannot win without her supporters and as he has shown all campaign - he has no interest in corralling his supporters/surrogates/MSM in their attacks against her. Less than 24 hours after his speech where he professed a patronizing concern for her supporters and spoke pandering words of praise about her - her supporters see the same thing: Nothing. Nothing to back up those empty words and nothing to stop the words of attack against her. The general election is in his hands - not hers - and right now they're around her throat. Her supporters are waiting for him to man up and say enough already. He hasn't. And it doesn't appear he ever will.

to J.Richter: Did you EVEN read my posts? You do not state one of my comments but you lum p me in with others that have hateful posts. Could that be because you are a hater of people that beleive in God almighty? Or is it because I support Hillary? Or is it because YOU THINK I AM WHITE (would be my guess)??? I guess you would be more comfortable with an atheist (of which I love). I have not used hateful speech and have voiced concern for my attackers, of which YOU are one. I will pray for you...

I regret you took offense to my including you but if you read my post you see I said I was dismayed with each post I read as well as with each response to it.

As I said it only fuels the purveyor as they are venting of their own hate and frustrations and without your response (and close to in similar vein) they would leave miserable and return to a world of $4 where the reason for the misery is neither black or white. And I generously included both sides for the baiting and responding and vice-versa. The election is not suppposed to be about this.

I will leave you out of this list the next time but look closely and you will see that your counter, respond, bait cycle only clogs the board and fuels the desires of those who were not here to reason or push facts in the first place. Without those your earlier posts were ideas I was happy to read and think about.

I find it hard to believe that Hillary wants to go through the facade of a song and dance routine just to say "no" to Barak and the position of VP. She impressed me as a person wanting to propel a woman into an unprecedented position in the U.S Government and not an insecure whiny loser. Maybe that was just her facade! I expect she will beat out any woman VP for the battle to the White House.

It appears that Obama will be the nominee, so stop blaming Hillary for his problems.
Many people don't like Obama, and it is not because they like Hillary. They just don't think he's qualified. They would feel the same way if Hillary had never run.
At some point, he's got to take responsibility upon himself for winning (or losing) the general election.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 5:32:06 PM

Fair point - Obama will take responsibility for winning, McCain will take responsibility for losing, which means there won't be any responsibility left for Hillary to take, which I am sure she will be very happy about.

  • Posted By: Lakeman29 @ 06/04/2008 4:19:56 PM

to rainbow68: Just so you are aware: Super delegates CAN CHANGE their VOTE at any time all the way up to and including the CONVENTION IN DENVER... Super delegates are RESPONSIBLE TO OVERRIDE the poeples vote when the people are wrong... That is the way the DEMOCRATIC PARTY set it up. SO THIS IS NOT OVER. GO HIllary!!! ALL THE WAY TO DENVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE WILL WIN!!!!

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 06/04/2008 5:30:22 PM

Wright, Pfleger, Rezko convicted on 16 counts today (no wonder Obama pressured superdelegates to annoint him last night)... drip, drip, drip..... all the way to Denver

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 4:23:02 PM

We know it is the job of Superdelegates to overturn the will of the people - especially when the people are blinded by spin - hence the reason most of the Superdelegates are for Obama ... duh.

  • Posted By: skibummin @ 06/04/2008 5:16:32 PM

Here we go his buddy and biz partner Resko goes down for 16 of 24 counts. The cardinal of Chicago tell his priest buddy to get lost ,oh yea he was on his election commiteee and raised funds for him.

he says he is a differant kind of POLL but he is a good old southside of Chicago boy. Joined his church not for religous reason fr political reasons and left for political reasons. You dont leave your church for political reasons unless your a win at all cost say anything kind of POLL.

reach across the aisle he was only one of 2 SEN who voted against the last supreme court nominee. sounds like he reaches far.

the AMERICAN people get fooled again remember conservitive compasionism, oh yea one more thing he is such a free thinker he is tabbing all Billl's foriegn affair advisors today

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 5:30:17 PM

The "he" in your post is John McCain, right?

  • Posted By: kaparrish57 @ 06/04/2008 7:16:09 AM

Under no circumstances should Sen. Obama make Hillary Clinton his vice-president. The strong arm tactics whether true or not utilized by the Clinton campaign for this position will not be accepted by his loyal and staunch supporters. Her disrespectful speech and "cat and mouse" tactic when he tried to reach her is totally unacceptable. If he selects her he will be seen as weak and can be coerced into doing something he is not in favor of. This does not bode well for his future with foreign nations as well as in the United States. In my opinion, those voters who have supported Clinton and remain loyal to her will not vote for Obama and never had any intention of casting their support for him. Does he need these votes? No he does not. There are still people in the United States who have not voted and should register to vote. It will be our responsiblity to encourage and help these uncommitted, non-voting voices to be heard. Finally, it a woman is needed to appease the female vote; there are several qualified women in government that can fill those shoes.

      • Posted By: McCainwillwin @ 06/04/2008 7:40:27 AM

It doesn't matter who he selects because he is STILL going to get TROUNCED in November. Osamabama IS weak, he IS a lightweight, he IS inexperienced, AND he IS going to LOSE to our next president, John McCain.
Go ahead, osamabama, select who you want... you're going to lose anyway!
