    Tony C:
I don't know if the "Rev's" will have to get a "real" job or not - will you? I presume you are of the opinion that anybody in "acadamia" also does not have a "real" job. As for "causes" Danny Thomas had one - the result was St. Judes. And by the way, we all have our "cartoon characters" - caucasians, blacks, native americans, orientals, hispanics - we all have them. In the USA, based on population percentage, we white folks probably have the most. Heck, for all I know, Tony C, you and I are "cartoon characters!"

I HEAR OSAMA BIN LADEN WOULD EXCEPT THE VP. AFTER ALL THE HAVE THE SAME AGENDA

  • Posted By: roadking13 @ 06/04/2008 3:53:03 PM

I wouldn't offer the Vp to Billary under any circumstances. And the notion that "she's been there done that" is one reason why. She was first lady and she didn't have any legal or potical power as first lady.

Look at who has the VALUES for the Democratic party... The ViEW TV show as support for your "reasoning" to be DUMMYCRATS... Amazing, you show your intelligence (lack of it). Who Madonna, Alec Baldwin, Ellen, and the rest of the HOLLYWOOD WACKO's support tells me a lot on WHO NOT TO SUPPORT. These wacko's REALLY have the values, beliefs, integrity, ethics and financial resources of the average AMERICAN. But that is who speaks for and runs the Democratic party... Speaks VOLUMES....

One more bit of good news before I leave for work:

Grumpy old dudes like me can't drink BO Kool-Aide, it gives us heartburn....

And heartburn brings on a bad case of reality.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 3:50:14 PM

But you can swallow the crap McCain dishes out and live with the diarrhea it gives you, is that it?

  • Posted By: treetracker @ 06/04/2008 2:57:16 PM

I am sickened by what I read in many of these posts. HRC supporters blaming BO supporters for dissing their candidate. It went both ways in all the comments I've read on varioius sites - and some of those posts were by Repugs trying to keep things stirred up between the two camps. The primary is OVER. BO won...period. Politics are politics. Neither candidate is the end all be all. They are PEOPLE, just like the rest of us. It's reality check time for both sides. We simply MUST win this election in the fall. Our country cannot economically survive another 4 years of corporate greed, nor can our military take 4 more years of war after having been stretched to the breaking point. Do any of you want them to go on 10 TOURS OF DUTY before this is over? That's where we are headed. How many more do you want to die for Bush's War? Or come home without limbs? These are your brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, parents, friends! I don't give a rat if Hillary is on the damned ticket or not. But it is not my decision - it is Barak Obama's decision and whatever that decision is, I will live with it. The blood and treasure this country has spent on this stupid war of Bush's, not to mention the detriment to the economy cannot continue under a McCain presidency. So suck it up and everyone start acting like adults - this country is more important than any one person! Our founding fathers would be disgusted to know they put their lives on the line and fought so hard for this country to see it end up like this.

A vote for McCain is NOT a vote for Hillary. A vote for McCain is a vote for Geo. W Bush.

There are many McCain supporters posing as Clintonites, urging you to vote for McCain. They are trying to manipulate your mind.

Clintonites everywhere have to ask themselves some hard questions. I know that Obama has been your rival in the Democratic primary, but it pays to know who your real allies are. If you voted for Clinton because you believe in her policies, you would NEVER vote for McCain, whose political stand is OPPOSITE to Clinton's. Even if your don't like Obama or you are ticked off at the fact that Hillary didn't get the nomination, remember, it is not about who you like as much as it is about WHAT they will do in office. Obama's plans and politics are almost identical to Hillary's. Voting for McCain because you are upset that Clinton lost is like shooting yourself in the foot. Do your REALLY want four more years of a failed economy? Do you REALLY want the recession to become another Great Depression?

I am a Republican who decided to vote for Obama, partly because I think he is a great candidate, but even more so because I am very concerned about the economy. Early in the race when it wasn't certain who was going to win the Dem nomination, I used to say that if Obama lost I would vote for McCain. My reason for that was that I'm a Republican, also because I hated the Bill Clinton drama years, and I just couldn't warm up to Hilary's personality. But two months ago I realized that if Clinton gets the nomination, I would have to vote for her, even though I really don't like her, because voting for McCain would be so dangerous for our economy, which is on the brink of ruin.

I really respected Huckabee's morals and loved his personality, but when I thought it through, I couldn't see him as President, he just wasn't strong enough to tackle the problems facing us today. McCain is in the same boat. You may not like Obama, but you have to admit he ran a great campaign and has some serious chops as a politician. He can get the job done. Hillary could have too.

Typical DUMMYCRAT, LYING about being a REPUBLICAN. No REPUBLICAN would EVER BE for OSAMA... the MOST LIBERAL OF ALL DUMMYCRATS. Look at what he beleives in. Most REPUBLICANS ARE UPSET OVER McCain beling the nominee.... And yet you claim to be a republican for Osama... PLEASE... YOU ARE A LIAR...

Hillary in her graceless performance last night proved that she is incapable of being a team player. She was the epitome of the soreset of sore losers. Totally ungracious. Totally self-absorbed. Totally "Clintonian." Did we really expect her not to behave this way? Yes, I guess we hoped she would act like an adult, but somehow feared that she would not. But her lack of grace was so jarring that even some of her strongest supporters are amazed. If anyone saw "The View" this morning it was very apparent that Hillary has lost their respect. And Charlie Rangell is voicing concerns. She has crossed a line here that is going to be difficult to step back from. But she better try. She needs to come out NOW and sincerely congratulate Senator Obama and concede and say she will wholeheartily support the ticket - BUT THAT SHE WILL NOT BE ON THe TICKET! The longer she waits the more damage is done to her legacy. She blew it last night. Her surrogates like Lanny Davis should be told to stop all of this VP talk. There is no way that she will - or should - be on this ticket. She proved that last night..

Was the college educated backing Obama? Maybe some of you with your high school diplomma know better but I doubt it. I remember when the Klan threw their support behind Bush and Cheney, thank god they won't have the tough decision this November if Hillary was still in it.

      • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/04/2008 3:42:47 PM

Make your choice based on who Hollywood likes or doesnt like?
Kinda makes you the dumb one. Do you do any acting?

Didn't seem to bother you that Obama played the race card from day one of his candidacy though did it? Typical hypocrite. May not like what I have to say, but at least I tell the truth.

How Hillary Clinton DOESN'T want the VP, and Osama doesn't want her either...
Very Telling Article and oh so typically DEMOCRAT!!!!! Smoke and mirrors, lie and deceive!!!!!!

  • Posted By: on pins @ 06/04/2008 3:33:09 PM

If that's the case, then Hillary needs to grow up and stop acting like a child. I can't even phanthom someone with her temper tandrums running anything. Obama can offer the VP position to anyone he wants! She is still trying to control things ...even after she has lost. Please Obama, as a loyal supporter, please, please, please don't offer her the VP. I realize she has promised not to accept....but...she has already proven to be such a liar! It's a trap! Don't do it!!

  • Posted By: celida @ 06/04/2008 3:32:31 PM

Someone needs to teach Hillary the meaning of respect!. This is all about the clintons because at the end of the tunnel all they see is how much money the could have made and how much they have lost, she does NOT care about Obama or the party she just want to have some kind of legacy!!!!!

  • Posted By: Tony C. @ 06/04/2008 3:27:28 PM

Kind of reminds me of 2000. The Supreme Court selected Bush and the superdelegates selected Obama. Country lost both times.

  • Posted By: celida @ 06/04/2008 3:27:05 PM

Hillary is acting like a teenager rejected on her first date, she has no class and that is not how a woman is supposed to act!, she wants to lead our country and be a role model for our young girls? she needs to get a better role model to learn from.

  • Posted By: NewsWkDickG @ 06/04/2008 3:24:03 PM

Why is everyone so concerned about Hillary? BARACK WON, HILLARY LOST!! He has been considerate and gracious all along, it is time, past time, for her to stop being obnoxious, to stop thinking everything is always just about Hillary, to finally stop being divisive and to get out of herself and to build unity for a win in November. There is no doubt that she will be given consideration and she has been given credit, probably more than she should expect, now it is time for her to be humble and extend rather than continuing to be constantly focused on what she wants. Her current posture is consistent with what is wrong with Hillary Clinton; she things it is all about her and that she is owed something. Lets move on to more important things than Hillary!

  • Posted By: speckelbelly @ 06/04/2008 3:21:17 PM

THANK GOD THE PRIMARY IS OVER! HILLARY SHOULD SUPPORT MR. OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT! MR OBAMA SHOULD BE ABLE TO PICK WHO EVER HE WANTS FOR VP! MY VOTE IS FOR SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE A WOMAN! NANCY PELOSI!

Wake UP call. Here is a new look at the whole Hillary/Barack VP situation. Barack should choose Hillary based on the single fact that she was so close in the primary. If for any reason during Barack's term he can no longer fullfil his duty the next in line would be the runner up in the primary. The United States would have a VP that THEY chose, not one Obama picked. We all already know her qualifications as a leader and as an advisior, really what harm would it bring? I recently had a discussion with my mother-in-law, who very narrow mindedly said during the conversation, "I won't vote for Obama if Hillary fills the VP slot.". People really? This is a decision that shouldn't be based on emotions, it feels like high school all over again. If you support Obama then you should support Obama. Who the vice president is really shouldn't alter your support. Same for Hillary supporters. If you support Hillary as president than you should support her as vice president. She will still be providing influence on the issues that we love her for supporting. While in her position she will be able to offer a second look/opinion/plan and from the two America can pick a better course. We need unity and here is the first step. It needs to be taken by those that we have chosen to lead.

    • Posted By: loriw @ 06/04/2008 3:08:31 PM

If Hillary wanted unity she would have congratulated Obama on his nomination win last night and urged her supporters to support Obama.
Two points. Your mother in law is a woman and i'm just guessing here but I think she's older and probably wiser than you. She can spot an insincere woman faster than you can and she probably recognizes that Hillary is only in this for herself.

      • Posted By: loriw @ 06/04/2008 3:12:37 PM

Did you ask your mother in law what the reasons behind her emotions were or did you just dismiss her as emotional... try asking her exactly why she feels as she does and let us know what you learned. She's seen more elections than you have and lived through more administrations than you have.
P.S. I too am a mother in law and my son in law is in the Green Zone, I wish I could have a chat with him on who he wants for president.

    • Posted By: Pushkincat @ 06/04/2008 3:12:03 PM

You should ask yourself why your mother-in-law and about 50% of the voting population have this "ABC" position ("Anybody But Clinton"). They are not all "crazy" and have good reasons to strongly question the integrity, honesty and motives of this person. Hillary's significant and chronic "negatives" will be with her forever and are not just an unjustified figment of your imagination.

  • Posted By: wyl5326 @ 06/04/2008 3:10:24 PM

Claiming she was tired and having so much pressure while at the same time offering herself as VP is an example of Shameless Ingenuity. For me, that is pure greed and self-aggrandizement. Barack don't need the Clintons and her die hard sycophants as he cleanly defeated the mighty Clinton machine by building a smart swift modern campaign machine who planned for long term campaign. While he needs her traditional supporters, there is too much risk that the Clintons might just try to sabotage his campaign from within so she can run in 2012 or even replaced him by any means necessary. The Clintons are well known mulligans and word parser who should be treated like snakes.
