This could be a trap by the Clinton people. They know Obama does not want Hillary on his ticket. He goes along with their plan and then Hillary does not live up to her bargain. She accepts the VP and Obama is stuck with her. There is no end to what this woman will go to. I said from the beginning of the campaign that Hillary is scary and dangerous (Vince Foster). Obama needs to tell her "Thanks, but no thanks,"

The Last thing Barak needs to do is pick HELLary Clingon. Barak's biggest issue has been the war in Iraq, and his argument is that when its time to come home you need to come home. With Hillary she lost this election months ago with no chance of catching up. Rather than conceeding the facts and coming home, she has pressed the issue and hurt the democrats. If Barak even asks her to be VP, he has lost my vote. If he cant handle her, he sure wont be able to handle being President. Even now, with all the numbers in, she still wont quit. Sound Familiar? Sounds kinda like not bringin our boys home doesnt it. Same ole political BS with her. Barak wants to change politics in DC. Start by NOT TAKING HELL-ARY. By the way I'm an independent. Barack should know by now he will not win without the Independents. He'll carry the democratic vote without HELL-ary, but he'll lose the Independents if he takes her.

Ummm I hate to break it to you but you independents are a very ficle group and typically while you show up to screw everything up in the primary, by the general you have moved on to something else. Obama needs the support of core democrats, which he will never win! He hasn't showed us anything and we will never vote for a race-baiter that cheated his way to the nomination!!! NOOBAMA

      • Posted By: Luridmoon @ 06/04/2008 12:39:44 PM

Ummm, sorry to break it to YOU, Hilaryforprez, but Obama WON the Democratic Primary, brought there by- OMG get this- the democrats! Yes, the Democratic Party has spoken, and the majority went with "Noobama"! So for you to sit there in your lil cube and say that the dems won't vote for him is a humungous pile of crud! He did not steal this election- he WON it, fair and aquare, and beat the Clinton machine. And your accusatory tone makes you sound like a sore loser, not unlike your American Idol, HiLRod.

If Obama didn't know his pastor was a racist hater of white people and America after listening to his sermons for 20 years then he is either a liar or a slow learner and I personally wouldn't want someone like that cutting his teeth on the oval office! People in this country are led like lemmings by the media...us your brains for once and think!!

    • Posted By: fryman12 @ 06/04/2008 11:02:15 AM

If he was a "racist hater of white people" what was a white Catholic priest doing speaking from his pulpit?

      • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/04/2008 11:26:57 AM

Duh...he was just really, really light. Duh...he was Obama's Muslim brother in the duh Christian terrorist cell...Duh.

Too much emotion and bad/limited upbringing.

        • Posted By: fryman12 @ 06/04/2008 12:38:29 PM

Either that or it was "white face" just trying to trick people

  • Posted By: dieharddem @ 06/04/2008 12:36:48 PM

By the way, Mr. Fineman, I doubt Hilary will request that Obama not choose another women for the
Veep position. This is rediculous speculation from biased news men like you. What is of greater concern is that Obama or anyone else thinks putting a women on the ticket solves the DNC's problems. When I supported Hilary it was about her capabilities, yes she is and was a better candidate for the Fall, not because I am women and just support a women. I look for strength in my candidates and the ability to get things done. Of course experience is a big plus. Just knowing how to be a canditate was not a big grab for me. I was supporting the better candidate by far. So don't try to be tripe by thinking you can just put the female gender on this ticket and all is good.

The "Bill" spectre would haunt both Barack and Hillary if she was on a successful Dem. ticket!! Did anyone catch Chelsea grabbing her dad's arm, pulling him away from being the center of attention after Hillary's finished speech last night? Even Chesea knows his spotlight-seeking ego can't be controlled.

  • Posted By: mystic88 @ 06/04/2008 12:27:57 PM

How about if he selects Bill Clinton as VP? Do the ruiles state yu can't SERVE more than two terms as president or that you can't be ELECTED more than two terms? Many people who voted for Hillary were actually voting for Bill to have another romp in the White House.

Face it people! The Dem Prime is not gonna be over until the PHAT* LADY SINGS:

    *P - People
    H - Hillary
    A - Ain't
T- Taking NO for an answer.

    LMAO!!!!

I kinda like that, maybe I'll make a T-Shirt for all the McCain supporters:

    McCain's biggest fear ...

    THE "WRIGHT-WING" CONSPIRACY

    • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 06/04/2008 12:13:29 PM

I suppose we could make some T-Shirts up for BO supporters too:

      Barack's worst nightmare!

      THE "WRIGHT-WING" CONSPIRACY.

      Any buyers?!

  • Posted By: dieharddem @ 06/04/2008 12:08:31 PM

Clinton as Veep would make it a ticket for Obama to secure the White House. Sorry Hilary haters this ticket benefits Obama not Hilary. She surely doesn't need to do this. There are so many disenfranchised women in the Democratic Party at this time I'm sure the DNC is trying hard to put a spin on it. They have real problems and may well pay for it by loosing the election in the Fall.

I believe that Hillary wants to be asked. but I do believe she will turn it down. I do also think that she will have to have some significant input on the V.P. spot , possibly Wes Clark he is a great choice none threating to Barack and a stand up guy that will help the Dem. ticket. I also think she should have a prime time speech at the convention. Hopefully President Obama will put her in his cabinet possibly Secretary of State. somethin.she has earned

  • Posted By: EBLieb @ 06/04/2008 11:59:43 AM

She is a Selfish Self Centered Horrible person. She deserves nothing and should be given absolutely nothing. She still owes her employee's from this primary election millions of dollars that she doesn't have. Run a Campaign in Debt, run the nation in debt. Obama had everything paid the minute he walked off the stage and went to the next one. THATS how you run a campaign, actually have the money and spend it properly. Plus that fact he has a lot more class then she does, he acknowledge her very graciously (more then i would have) In his speech, and all she did was dispute the fact that the contest is over.. Guess what.. it is over and nothing she says will change that..

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 06/04/2008 12:05:28 PM

You must be a McCain supporter. Best campaigner isn't necessarily best president. Look at G W Bush- Campaigner in Chief

  • Posted By: Kboogie @ 06/04/2008 11:48:12 AM

Odds are, she won't even get the offer!!!! Obama has come too far in his journey to be pressured by the Clintons. She just closed the door on herself.

    • Posted By: kshortSD @ 06/04/2008 12:01:51 PM

Yeah, but the problem is that Hillary has gotten her supporters so worked up that many of them might very well make good on their threat to vote for McCain out of spite (very mature, I know). Obama has to consider that. And what if Hillary is saying, "I can drag this thing out to August anyway...Superdelegates can change their minds!" and is using that to try to force the VP offer. What a sticky situation! God, she's crafty...

  • Posted By: News and Notes @ 06/04/2008 12:01:38 PM

Everyone is talking about older women, but a majority of middle class moderates support her as well. Peel away race and gender, many of Hillary's supporters are moderate democrats who believe Hillary would make a better president than Obama. It will be just as easy for millions of them to sway to McCain if Hillary is not on the ticket. Does Obama want to win? This is just another article that is speculative and irresponsible

  • Posted By: lread @ 06/04/2008 9:18:13 AM

Hilary as VP is a mistake. I am female, white, Democrat from day 1, and feel that she will use the VP position to undermine the Obama agenda of "Change". I will not vote Democrat if she is on the ticket. Why isn't anyone looking at Bill Richardson. Had he been female or black, he would have been the Dem. Presidential Candidate, because he is the complete package!

    • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 06/04/2008 9:38:33 AM

I'm a moderate Independent and I totally agree! Even I would have voted for Bill Richardson or Joe Biden.

      • Posted By: blackeneddove @ 06/04/2008 12:00:38 PM

I'm a female, who happens to be black... I am also a democrat. You think I would have been sold on one or the other--but truthfully, I have never been sold on Obama or Clinton, because as cool as it is that we've had both a black person and a female run for president --unlike many other people, I'm not going to base my vote solely on those factors.

      • Posted By: blackeneddove @ 06/04/2008 11:31:35 AM

Sen. Joe Biden was my pick after watching the Dem. Debate. Too bad he didn't make it further... I am a black female, and I must say that I am very excited about this historical event --not only for Black history, but AMERICAN history as well. It is a great acheivement for our (AMERICAN) people. I must also say, as excited as I am about Obama being the nominee, there is still much research I must do before I can say who I will vote for this November. And I WILL vote. Even if the day comes, and I decide to write in Joe Biden. EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!!! Those of you who say you're not voting this election, please reconsider--and do your duty as an American.

Sen. Joe Biden was my pick after watching the Dem. Debate. Too bad he didn't make it futher... I'm a black female and I wasn't sold on either Obama or Clinton, although I am excited about this great triumph not only in Black history, but AMERICAN history as well. • Posted By: Debunked @ 06/04/2008 9:31:55 AM

THANK YOU! More of a reason for Clinton to run independent.

  • Posted By: griffin1 @ 06/04/2008 11:47:26 AM

That is so true - on a blog last night, some bloggers are republicans stirring controversy between the parties, also Rush Limbaugh has told his listeners to turn Hillary supporters against Obama supporters so they can get McBush in office. Let's not fall for this madness, It a shame that a republican can put out the word and we fall for this. Hillary and Obama = same team (Hillary unite the party and fast) the race is over

    • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 06/04/2008 11:54:32 AM

Yes! Beware of the VAST "WRIGHT-WING" CONSPIRACY!

  • Posted By: Tx_longbow @ 06/04/2008 11:52:32 AM

How about Steven Colbart as VP. He couldnt be any worse than Hillary when she is throwing a fit. At least Colbert would keep him smiling. And just think about Steven Colbert as President of the Senate. That might actually let those clowns know what the country thinks of them.

  • Posted By: paulte @ 06/04/2008 11:49:08 AM

Obama would be very foolish to offer her the VP slot. If he manages to get elected with her on the ticket, he will be in for four years of hell. Don't forget, it's not just Hillary he gets but Billary too! I think the jury's out on whether a ticket with both of them on it is more winnable than one with he & Edwards. Some of Hillary's white supporters like Edwards, so that might be the way for him to go in November. That way he can dump the wicked witch of the west and craft a more winnable ticket at the same time. A win/win situation for him!

Nothing is over until the convention! Fight fight Hillary! Denver or bust!!!

  • Posted By: Rocky2001 @ 06/04/2008 11:17:06 AM

She is like Glenn Close in "Fatal Attraction"..."I will not be ignored!!!" ....unfortunately Barry needs her, and she will pull the rug out in a heart beat.....Poor Barry!

    • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 06/04/2008 11:33:01 AM

Cmon Rocky, choosing Hill as his VP would be the kiss of death (no pun intended).

      • Posted By: Rocky2001 @ 06/04/2008 11:48:55 AM

Dude it will Never Happen.....Barry will not share the spot light...LOL!! And that's why the Dems keep losing Presidential Elections...They just don't get it....God love em!
