Im not quite sure if I would even trust Clinton in the White House at all. Myself being a supporting of Barack Obama and President Bill Clinton as well. Im just not convinced she is anything like her husband when it comes to the subject and thats one of the main reasons she had so many supporters. I personally wouldn't want her to be Obama's VP.

I will not vote at all in this election unless hillary clinton is on the ticket.

    • Posted By: bholloway @ 06/04/2008 9:44:31 AM

This will be the problem for OBAMA because there is a lot of people that will not vote or leave the party if Hillary is not on the ticket. She brings a lot to the table. I have a son that will serve 3 tours in Iraq soon and I do not trust OBAMA to make any decision on the war because of his lack of knowledge. I don't want to hear she voted for it, so did many Americans in their homes after we heard what we thought was the truth from our President and it turn out to be lies. We need to forgive and forget the past. But, we as people we hold fault on people's past. We don't give them credit for all they have done. Can we move past the negative comments and start to work on what's going to happen.

So you should vote for McCain who supports sending your son back again and again and again and again until he comes home in a box. Bite off your nose to spite your children, vote McCain.
In fact if you listened to some of his recent promises to bring certain soldiers home, the only way he can make true on some of his promises is to reinstate the draft. He has stated that he doesn't see an end to this war until 2013 so you can support the draft and the death of your kids and grandkids to fight in a war he voted for and supports all because you are angry that Hillary ran a bad campaign, blew her money by Feb 5th, essentially ignore 14 states and spent more time talking about how awful her opponent was than running her campaign and therefore lost.
As for ignoring that she voted for the war, remember that she voted for the war WITHOUT looking at the intelligence report. She wasn't tricked, she wasn't really even lied to, she chose to ignore the information and vote for the war because it was politically expedient. It was incompetence pure and simple.

      • Posted By: Jaxs @ 06/04/2008 10:17:03 AM

You should be worry about HRC and McCain. Do you really think they are worried about your son or anyone else's. Their philosophy/plan is to stay and work out it out. In the meantime, sons and daughters will continue to die. Just like the 3 that died today. Many people who support the war believe that there are acceptable losses and that also includes your son. YOu should be thinking long and hard about who will likely bring your son home safe. It's sure isn't McCain and HRC. She supported the war.

        • Posted By: cfrancis34 @ 06/04/2008 10:39:50 AM

You should look up your history BEFORE you throw out the bath water, Only 21 Senators did NOT vote for the war in IRAQ, and NO Obama was NOT one of them, why? because he wasn't even a Senator yet. AND if my memory serves me, the Senators voted to allow the President to go to war if NECESSARY, not for the war itself, Bush took it upon himself to declare war, he had that one planned all along. So, check out the history leading up to the war in Iraq. .

    • Posted By: MariaIsabella @ 06/04/2008 10:20:12 AM

It's truly a shame that so many died for this country so you would have the right to vote. You are throwing away that honot because you want to act like a 2 yr old child throwing a temper tantrum because another candidate ran a better campaign and won. If you had something other than air between your ears, you could comprehend that she lost because she ran a poor campaign. Not because of the media, and not because of Obama. They started this race with her at the top of the ladder, and he at the very bottom. She screwed up, and true to Clinton form, she plays the victim and blame game. Stay home, you don't deserve the right to vote.

She is the crazy drunken Aunty at the party that is over, but she is still dancing, she refuse to respect what Barack has accomplished and she would destroy him if he puts her on the ticket, afterall the DNCbelongs to her, she is entitled, he has stolen her show and she want it back!! FIRE And BRIMESTONE, here we go again, oh boy!

I think it is a crying shame that Obama has claimed the nomination. Clinton won the popular vote, and as we all know, Especially in the US, the people's vote does not count. We may as well be in a dictatorship. I am sick of Obama and his promised 'changes', though he has not specified what those will be. I am sick of his condescending attitude toward the public and I am sick of his mud-slinging wife. They each found it ok to attack Clinton during the campaign, but when the tides turned, is was 'leave my poor innocent wife alone', coming from the Obama camp. I am a very true Democrat, but this year I will be voting Republican rather than Obama!!!!!

    • Posted By: Clinton08' @ 06/04/2008 11:04:09 AM

I agree with you %100 percent! Those who voted for Obama are the same people who like to jump on the trend wagon because they think it's the latest and greatest. He is unproven and lacks true leadership skills. I would rank him as a Single "A" player who wooed and wowed his way upo to the Tripple "A" field. He has no clue how hard the big boys play in the arena of national and global politics. Clinton knows the game and she has a proven play book to boot. I hope she goes independent! I will vote for her. If she is now where on the tickets I will sit out or vote McCaine!

      • Posted By: Texas Woman @ 06/04/2008 11:01:32 AM

These comments are utterly disgraceful! Every office holder/candidate deserves the respect of that office - every man and WOMAN! Ken Starr spent $40M-$50M checking out every "scandal", lie, rumor, and innuendo against the Clintons. What we got for our money was the knowledge that Mr. Clinton had a tawdry affair with an intern and lied about it. The LIE was what got him impeached, nothing else. I don't know about you folks out there, but I'd like to have my money back!

To even insinuate that the Clintons had anything to do with Vince Foster's death is absolutely unbelievable. The poor man was clinically depressed and committed suicide.I've had all the enljoyment that I can handle. We all better start taking the high road before we destroy ourselves.

A true journalist would never write a gossip column and pass it off as a news report as you have just done. Baised media reporting was a huge factor in costing Hillary Clinton the democratic presidential nomination.

    • Posted By: Mrs. Jones @ 06/04/2008 10:57:39 AM

You may have a point about reporting, but its not the media that lost HClinton the nomination. She thought she would have it wrapped up on Super Tuesday and no plan afterward. She raised 1/4 billion dollars and is in debt. She selected Terry McCauliffe and Mark Penn to be primary campaign advisors. She had her husband campaign, but he kept getting off message. She ignored the caucus states. She thought it was all about the big states. She didn't campaign heavily in states she thought she would lose. She used Republican strategies against a member of her own party.

I'll say it again and again, the Clinton campaign thought they were playing checkers, when the game was really chess.

Absolutely BS! All those Anonymous sources! I'm so tired of the media twisting, spinning and whatever else they're good at to sell advertising! As for HRC supporting the war, I supported the war! Most of America did! The 60-page dossier so conveniently fabricated proved awesome evidence against Saddam/Iraq. We all wanted someone to pay. Bush and Blair gave us that someone. HRC supported her constituents. Now, in the aftermath, when the document has been proven fake, and the war a farce for oil, most everyone realizes we have to get out. Even the military can't agree as to why they are there! HRC and BHO believe in the same fight to get us out of Iraq! I have served there; I have lost friends; families have been destroyed; countless wounds garnered ...all for the pretense of saving the Middle East...BS! Google that WMD Dossier! Read it...it will sell you too! But it's mostly fake. Sad sad sad! BHO needs HRC...in some capacity. Our country has evolved quite a bit --(1/3) of the voters voted BHO in the primary; (1/3) HRC; (1/3) JM. What's to say that HRC's third won't run to vote JM? Bubba's and seniors will vote HRC!...I knocked on doors, I heard them tell me they won't vote for that (whisper) "black man." Sad, but true! Turned my stomach. But if they're gonna vote, and we don't want them to vote McCain!

Those that aren't going to vote for him because he is a man of color, aren't all of a sudden going to v ote for him because she is the VP. How ridiculous. By and large, folks don't go into the voting booth and vote for the person #2 on the ticket. We've had presidents elected with the likes of Agnew, and Quayle so enough said. Obama is going to win this election without Clinton as the VP--and the GOP knows this year is a disaster in the making for them.

I seriously doubt that Obama wants Billary wandering the halls of the White House, or Congress for that matter, during his Presidency. What a nightmare to try and control. ... and neither do I for that matter. I am sick of the name - he embarrassed me as an American enough during his tenure. It would be nice if they would both just go away and retire somewhere.

Hussein Obama has the " audacity " to glow in a victory thats " empty ". The corrupt media and the Dictators National Congress ( DNC ) rigged the whole thing for Hussein to win just for the sake to make history.
Hussein can't even say he won the popular vote. In fact , he received 63 unearned delegates from Michigan because of the decision rendered by the DICTATORS NATIONAL CONGRESS. Its a false outcome. Its an 'empty" win.

Hillary Clinton got screwed and tattooed by the corrupt propaganda media and the DNC ten ways to Sunday and now they have the gall to say ... " oh my...Hillary...you lost and must concede...we need you to unify the party....we want to be the VP on the ticket..." ....well Hillary Clinton can only rightfully say.. " unify this ! " .

    • Posted By: dogteam @ 06/04/2008 9:18:41 AM

Cut out the Hussein Obama stuff. The popular vote stuff is flawed because it does not count caucuses. When Hillary's camp realized they were losing, they moved the goal post and still lost. Hillary is getting bad advice and thats why she lost. Support the nominee or suffer the consequences of a loss in November.

      • Posted By: cfrancis34 @ 06/04/2008 10:54:58 AM

Best you ALL take a good look at the states that Hillary won and remember that Primarys and cauces' do not win elections, the Electorial College is the deciding factor and if you add up the states she won, she would be over the top, I believe 332 or something like that, all that is needed to win is 273. So maybe she will run as an Independent, if I was in her shoes, I believe I would. What is funny to me is everytime she won a state, the big boys were calling for her to quit.

It is a shame and a disgrace that out of a country of two hundred seventy three million people, these three clowns are the best we can come up with for a leader. That's embarrassing! I have friends in foreign countrys that can't believe that America has sunk to such low standards. None of these three have the answers we need, especially Obama. He has virtually no experience and he keeps talking all this change but I've yet to hear him explain what these changes will be. Someone said the other day that things couldn't get any worse. Well, I went out to buy food. The prices were high, but the food was there for to buy if I wanted it. When I went to buy gas for my car, the price was really high, but the gas was there for me to buy. That wasn't the case when Carter was president. I don't like it but I'll take my chances with McCain. The only think I see that is for sure is that we have become a nation of poor helpless blatting sheep.

She doesn???t want the nomination, but still wants to be asked anyway. WTF kind of sense is that???? Is it so she can get the last laugh by scorning his offer? Is there some political leverage to gain?

Acting like a crazed, deranged woman does not help her or women in general. By living up to the stereotype then she is only proving that brand of sexist bias correct.

  • Posted By: Positive thinking @ 06/04/2008 10:47:29 AM

First I'd like to congratulate Senator Obama on winning the Democratic nomination and congrats also to Senator Clinton on her win in South Dakota but I am extremely appalled by the thinking of some Americans, including some members of Senator Clinton's camp.(the one who said they wont vote for Senator Obama but rather Senator McCain) Despite what Senator Clinton decides her next move is, the hardcore fact of this matter is that the race is now between Senator McCain and Senator Obama. The question that i will pose is this: What influences your vote.....race, sex or policy?

  • Posted By: USA4life @ 06/04/2008 10:45:50 AM

You people really need to quit all the whining and crying..This could really be what America needs in regards to wanting and needing change and you know damn well we need change in this country. If you vote for McCain, more power to you and I hope he brings about the change that you want..If you vote for Obama, more power to you as well..either way Washington is about to change..America is about to change..and we as a nation will move forward. Grow up and quit all the bashing and hateful retoric...it solves nothing. Racism and Sexism is alive and thriving in this country..its almost like some of you love to hate for whatever reason not realizing that life is too short to waste time hating everything and everyone that doesn't agree with your opinion or views. Stop acting like silly teenagers and grow up! but i guess thats asking to much from some Americans.

Who in their right mind would want Billary as VP. Can you imagine the nightmare of trying to control Bill/Hillary wander the halls of DC and pushing their own agendas over Obama's. Like they would respect his wishes, desires ... or directives for that matter. They would/will stomp all over him. He is a fool if he cannot see that coming. Then again, he probably cannot beat McCain without her. Damed if you do, damned if you don't.

If he was white with the same attitude and values I still would not vote for him. This isn't all about race. I beleive it was Obama who used the phrase "typical white person"

  • Posted By: Tx_longbow @ 06/04/2008 10:33:10 AM

I hope she does not end up being the VP. She burned her bridges when she used "I am the best canadate because I am white and blue collar voters will only vote for a white" crap for months. That's the race card and she should never have pulled it out. It was a humongus embarrasment to our party. I used to support her but I cant support someone that goes against the Democrat tradition and principles of being non-racest. I understand that women may feel that is unfair that a black man will be president before a woman, especially a white woman. But is was Hillary that lost that for woman (black or white). She did not act like a president, she acted like a spoiled teenager willing to burn the whole house down if she did not get her way. We already have that in the white house now, why would Obama want to bring that kind of baggage along with him for 8 years? I would recommend he just let her fade into history. That will take about 2 months. Or she will just kep on burning the house down and every one will see the disaster they narrowly avoided. If Obama wants to make history and select a female VP, I say it is his choice. But he should select someone that really represents the best in woman and thinks about what she represents to all the generations of woman to come. Hillary simply could not achive that level of humanity.

    • Posted By: aradisedp @ 06/04/2008 10:45:52 AM

Sweetheart, our nation is racist. And like it or not, having a black man on the ticket made that more evident! I love BHO...But I also like HRC. Thing is, white people vote...half of the white Dems voted BHO, and half voted HRC. Many of them are Racist! I knocked on doors...I had many affluent whites as well as Bubbas (blue-collar) tell me they would not vote for a (whisper) "black man." Sad, but true! I'm white and my son is black...I can't explain how that hurt to hear it over and over...them assuming that I could empathize with them! Still, it is ever present in our society. HRC only stated the obvious. I don't believe for one minute that she is racist. But then again, if we all look truthfully in the mirror, perhaps we'll admit that we all have some form of prejudice within us (race, religion, gender or other bias) that promotes a form of racism we fight to hide. Bottom line, I don't believe for a minute that HRC meant that statement the way you took it, rather, she was only stating the situation...Bubbas voted for her!

    • Posted By: Mrs. Jones @ 06/04/2008 10:45:44 AM

I am sick of all you people who keep bringing up Rev. Wright as an issue. Anyone with common sense can figure out that NO ONE goes to church EVERY SUNDAY for 20 years, not even the pastor, and NO ONE preaches the same exact thing for 20 years. NO ONE could grow a church from 85 members to 8500 if all they did was preach the same thing, especially if it was as 'hate-filled' as you believe. This church belongs to a predominantly white denomination. It serves not only its diverse congregation but the community surrounding it with its more than 20 outreach programs. The pastor has received accolades through the years from many white organizations and leaders. There is a reason Moyers interviewed Wright and did a feature on his church over 20 years ago.

Do you really think that out of the THOUSANDS of sermons Wright has given across the country during his 30+ year career that the overwhelming majority were not about love, hope, faith, God and salvation?

Do you belong to a church? If so, did you join soley for the pastor? People join churches for many reasons--it could be something superficial like the choir or more meaningful like the fellowship and minstries.

Stop using this as your excuse and do some research on where Obama stands on the issues you are most concerned about. And then get off your high horse and do some research on Rev. Wright's life and sermons (including the ENTIRE sermons that have you so disconcerted. You're probably the same people who secretly believe Obama was a Muslim and was only pretending to belong to a church because he was running for president. Now because it suits your needs, you want to paint him as someone who faithfully went to church every Sunday.

How can Hussein Obama declare he's the nominee outright when 63 of his delegates were given to him as a gift from the DNC ? This could be the difference between winning or losing a nomination. Can Hillary Clinton challenge this or something like an NFL coach does by throwing a flag on the field ?

Can Hussein Obama honestly say he won the primary on his own merit ? I don't think so. The corrupt media and the DNC rigged the whole thing for Hussein to win just for the sake of making history. That surely doesn't sound like a democracy where the will of the people should reign above all else. Talk about a pretty screwed up political party.

Hillary Clinton has the obligation to 18 million voters to take this grievance to Denver. Hussein Obama knows all about dirty politics. Look at what he did to other candidates in Illinois for the Democratic Senate seat. Just ask Alice Palmer, an African American herself, how she got whacked by Hussein Obama.

What was striking tonight was when Hussein Obama praised Bill Clinton in his speech but he disrespected him during the primary race. Whats up with that ? Like...this whole thing is stranger than fiction.
