Hillary will hang on until the convention for two reasons. 1. So she can continue to get contributions to pay off her campaign debt. 2. To have input into the VP candidate and the Democratic platform coming out of the convention. As for McCain, I have always admired him but when he voted against G.I. benefits, that convinced me to stay Democratic and vote Democrat this fall.

Let me understand this. Hillary is willing to share her marital bed with many other women; but, doesn't want to share the political spotlight with another womon? Oh please, she and her die-hard supporters make white women look like spoiled two year olds who can't have their way. The good Gov. from AZ would make an excellent VP for Sen. Oboma. She is everything Hillary is not....and that's a good thing. One last thought...why would Oboma let the fox into the hen house?

Bottom line- Obama can't win without her.

I think that there may be a great majority of white wormen thinking the same way as theraen (below). Maybe this article might put some things into perspective as to why white women in particular are feeling that a vote for McCain is worth cutting their nose to spite their face: To show the DNC fand the Media that they will go out of their way not to vote for Obama. After all, it has become real personal to them. Here's the article:

Read your article on white women, petty is my summation. As a white middle aged middle class woman I will not decide the fate of an election on my inferiority complex as a woman. I was a Hillary supporter in the beginning but she lost my vote as I know she lost other women's votes as the campaign played out. This is not about sex OR race is about what is best for the country we love. Choose to vote how you wish that is your right but it is right?

      • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/04/2008 3:07:50 AM

Unfortunately you were never a true Hillary believer / supporter. But no matter, she still has 18million people still loving and supporting her in her choice as to how she will move forward in politics or otherwise. I actually thought the article was right on the money as to what white women are thinking with this democratic race and how it went. But that is fine, we can agree to disagree. No problem with that.

John Edwards had my vote but bowed out because he could not get beyond media hype. Remember Chris Matthews saying Obama's rhetoric made a 'tingle go down his leg, or was it up his leg." I laugh when I think of how shallow and transparent the media has been. It is male bias that doesn't want to see a woman in the presidency. It took forever to get women the vote and an ability to own property. We haven't come too far ,lady, because people like you. Remember this if you fail to get anything out of Hillary's efforts, African Americans vote color and are proud of it. Where does that leave you?

        • Posted By: leepdx @ 06/04/2008 3:11:31 AM

Guess it leaves me to vote for an individual.

This is a sincere comment to all of those Obama supporters I've sparred with over the months and all of those I didn't. Congratulations on the nomination of your candidate...it is finally done after a long and hard-fought battle.

    • Posted By: MariaIsabella @ 06/04/2008 6:46:56 AM

I wish Clinton had the same class as you do NO OOOOOOOOO.

      • Posted By: hotstuff @ 06/04/2008 9:00:55 AM

NO OOOOOOO ( I think 1 "O" is actually enough:)) should be commended!
Wish Hillary herself and her die-hard supporters would follow suit.
All well meaning Americans should rally together to salvage this great nation.
Let´s cut this other petty crap.

      Very nice. Thank you.

It is my sincere and urgent prayer that Senator Hillary Clinton "release" all the women supporters she is holding hostage. I find it rather shameful that millions of women would put their backs to the wall, stick out their chins and keep crying foul. This election is about our future. It is NOT about "your woman". Let's come together as Democrats and move forward to slaughter the notion of 4 more years of Bush policies. UNITE!

  • Posted By: Bluegrass Woman @ 06/04/2008 8:58:56 AM

Let me understand this. Hillary was willing to share her bed with many other women; but, isn't willing to share the political arena with one other woman? This person is crazier than I previously thought. The good Gov. from AZ would make a great VP. She has the calm head, the trusting look and the political savy to compliment Senator Oboma. Hillary makes white women look like spoiled two-year olds. A last thought...why would Oboma let the fox into the henhouse?

Congratulations to Barack and Michelle Obama! Now, perhaps, America can get to the business of building a better future. Again, congratulations!

Hillary Clinton ran an "ALL-OR-NOTHING" campaign. Well..."ALL" is currently taken!

"If Hillary Clinton is so great, she'll do what's right and her followers will back the Democratic nominee. If not...we'll all know precisely why she lost and the immeasurable damage inflicted on the Democratic party.
We often learn more from defeat than victory. Bitter battles lost should never be allowed to outweigh the war.
Some times putting others before self becomes the difference between victory and defeat." -- Steve Ford

    ABC = Anybody But Clinton

    ABC for VP!

SHAME ON YOU HILLARY CLINTON!! Last night you were strictly N.C.A.A. - NO CLASS AT ALL!!! You lost, it was not your night. Your propaganda is similar to republican propaganda. President Obama does not need you to win. The majority of Democrats, independents and many republicans see that Barack has a lot of class and will vote for him. Those screaming crying Hillary supporting white women shown on TV threatening to vote republican if Obama won the nomination were a big turn-off. President Obama can win without you. Hillary is a turn-off and Obama should not be intimidated. Congratulations Barack Obama... you are a first class act.

  • Posted By: the contrarian @ 06/04/2008 7:51:36 AM

Mcainwillwin: you may be right but the republicans will continue to drive our country into the ground; I hope you can afford to put gas in your ford f150 or suburban after you cast your vote for Mcain. At least obama's supporters will have the income to feed, educate, and insure their families - even if mcain wins. How will you fare for the next four years? Thoughts for you and your ilk (and by extension) Hillary's ilk to consider... Just a thought

    • Posted By: McCainwillwin @ 06/04/2008 8:11:01 AM

Lets not forget that McCain really is a democrat and that the dems control congress. If the democrats REALLY want to help us with our energy crisis, they should check the loony environmental nut jobs and allow us to drill and pump OUR OWN oil, and allow us to build MORE nuclear power plants. I'm not worried about our economy, I'm worried about national security and military strength. Osamabama is NOT the answer.

      • Posted By: selflove23 @ 06/04/2008 8:55:24 AM

Have you not notice that our man and woman are dieing in this dumb ass war. National security is not the real issue in American and our military is weak because of this. What are you talking about. You have NO real reason to be living in fear. When the last time you seen a bomb at your front door?

  • Posted By: PH1227 @ 06/04/2008 8:55:15 AM

Our issue at hand now is to clean up the past administrations mess,
but now look long & hard at DNC what a wack job they did on their own.

The next president of USA was already decided a couple of years ago. Why this primaries and caucuses? I don't understand. Waste of money and time. Fooling the American people again and again.

Good Morning Obama-Nation: Like you, I am Super-Excited about what took place last night and what will surely take place in the general election as well. Senator Obama WILL BE our next president.

I did, however, want to make everyone aware of what Senator Clinton is trying to do and how we, as citizens looking out for the best interest of our country, should do. Senator Clinton asked her supporters to contact her, via her website, and tell her "what they think she should do".

Folks, this is a strategic ploy that her team is using to pressure Senator Obama into picking her as his running mate. She will suggest to Senator Obama, likely through the use of the media, that the only way that he will get her 18 Million supporters is to place her on his ticket as VP.

In an effort to counter this manipulative ploy, I am asking the 18 Million-PLUS supporters of Senator Obama to provide their own feedback to him, as well. I, like you, do not want Senator Obama to be pressured into making a decision to get a co-President, which is what Hillary Clinton will attempt to be.

Please forward this to all Obama supporters and ask them to go to www.barackobama.com and voice their opinions as well. Senator Obama should know how we feel as well and have an opportunity to counter her manipulative strategy.

    Many thanks in advance.

McCain got it wrong yesterday when he said that Barack felt ENTITLED to the presidency. The only one feeling entitled around here is Hillary. Now I respect her for everything she's done as First Lady and Senator (and for how she ran MOST of the race) but it's over! How disrespectful and pathetic to not acknowledge Barack for getting the delegates needed to secure the nomination. She had the best opportunity to be the bigger woman and leave with grace and she continues to extend this out as if our party can stand it. The race is over, the Hillary vs Barack time should be over too. Can she please wrap her head around the fact that she won't be the President, or the VP, rally behind Barack so we can win this thing in the Fall??

  • Posted By: wiscofan @ 06/04/2008 8:35:03 AM

...Obama will define himself and his prospective presidency by whom he chooses as his running mate: if Clinton is seriously offered the position, then Obama will have proven himself to be a part of the current political paradigm, regardless of his rhetoric; if the position is offered to someone else (Edwards, perchance?), then there is hope that his deeds will match his words...

    • Posted By: McCainwillwin @ 06/04/2008 8:44:23 AM

Edwards, you offer??? ROTFLOL!!! Didn't you dems try that one before??? LOL!!! You crack me up! Thanks for the laugh!

...should Obama seriously offer Clinton the opportunity to be his running mate, he will have proven himself to be nothing other than a part of the political paradigm that he has railed against...
