    Mccainan FOR SURE now

    • Posted By: dogteam @ 06/04/2008 8:33:57 AM

Give it up. McCain is a tired, boring, and uninspiring replica of George Bush. I like him personally though. He is an extraordinary individual based on what I have seen of his service to the country. Not the man for the job going forward though.

Obama FOR SURE now. If Obama stood the test against Hillary and her games than he can surely stand up against McCain.

      The next President is Obama

There are tons of Obama supporters who would be extremely disappointed in him if he were to choose Hillary as a VP. I, personally, know of several people who will not vote for him if he chooses her. Independents who would vote for Obama will go to McCain if Hillary were on the ticket.

I don't like Hillary but I am voting for Obama if she's on the ticket.

America has just lost it's chance at making real history by putting a woman at the top of a major party ticket. For all HRC's shortcomings she is undeniably qualified to lead this country and possibly the only woman who will ever have a legitimate shot at doing so. The cold, hard reality is that white, working-class males in a few key states are the demographic that will determine the outcome of this election (as they almost always do) and since these individuals won't be able to put aside their racial prejudice we all better start hoping that Hillary is still interested in four years. If not I don't want to begin to think of where this country will be when faced with another four years of President McCain.

      Agree wholeheartedly.

      • Posted By: Snorkeldorf @ 06/04/2008 12:46:51 AM

Disagree wholeheartedly. You are really selling women short if you think Hillary Clinton is the only woman capable of leading this country.

I am a true Obama supporter and I think it will be a big mistake even asking her to be VP.

After reading a lot of these posts, I am amazed at the fact that people would vote for McCain if their candidate doesn't win the primary. Don't you realize what a waste of your precious right to vote for the best candidate to get the Republicans out of the White House. We have to get our act together and unite to take back OUR White House.

As I sit here and write yet another post, I am amazed at myself. I have never in my life felt so strongly about voicing my thoughts on a political candidate, but feel compelled to this year. There is just too much at stake with this election, and we as a country have so much to lose if we're not careful. Our divisiveness regarding the two Democratic candidates could ultimately cost us the election, and give us four more years of the downward spiraling of our economy.

I am an Obama supporter but I do still like Hillary. Hillary is getting some very bad advice. She needs to dump her advisors. On an historic occasion where the first African-American in history received enough delegated to win the nomination of a major party for President of the United States, she and members of her staff could not graciously verbally acknowledge that Obama won the nomination and she has lost. I have no problem with her taking a few days to determine next steps. She could just have easily congratulated him on his victory and stated such. Regardless of how many votes she received she lost. She has no leverage. Either she is going to jump on board (whether she is VP candidate or not) or the dems will lose in November. If the dems lose because of her political postering she will forever be thought of as the spoiler and sore loser who cost America a bright future.

I don't trust OBAMA!! I think he is a likeable guy and he talks a good talk but I just don't trust him. He has not stayed true to himself throughout this race. I don't think he is patriotic enough and I don't think he cares that much about the people.....I hope he proves me wrong but man if I am right....god help us!

    • Posted By: ladyj @ 06/04/2008 12:58:22 AM

You trusted Bush and what did it get us? Obama has stayed true to himself and his beliefs throughout this race. His message has not changed from Day One. He is as patroiotic as anyone else and he has cared about people throughout his adult life when he started out as a community worker. One does not become a community worker unless they care about people. He could have made more money doing anything else but that in Chicago. I don't hope that he will prove you wrong, I know that he will. You should have been saying "god help us" over the last eight years, long before Obama came along.

Ditto and thank you ladyj. You are a true lady.

The idea of HRC gracing the Obama ticket with her presence makes me sick. Why would a candidate of substance want to prop up a ticket headed by an empty suit like BHO? It would akin to Dan Quayle choosing Ronald Reagan as his running mate. It's almost amusing to read the Obama kool-aid drinkers' disparaging remarks about HRC's political ambition. Are you so naive as to suppose that anyone making a serious run for the WH lacks the same level of ambition? I'm sure BHO is a sweetheart of a guy, but the company he keeps, including the missus, is a little scary. I can only hope and pray that if he finds a way to get elected, he demonstrates better judgment in choosing his cabinet.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/04/2008 8:28:26 AM

The reality is that your candidate of 'substance' lost. Even her so called 'substance' didn't help her. HRC does not get to choose any position in O's cabinet. She will be lucky if Obama offers her the VP. She should be proud of the offer and accept. It's so amusing to read H's supporters trying to justify her loss with the old 'empty suit' nonsense. H lost. O won. Who comes up empty?

    • Posted By: anytime1958 @ 06/04/2008 12:54:10 AM

His first choice for a place in his cabinet will no doubt be the Rev Wright

      • Posted By: watchdogroup @ 06/04/2008 1:47:31 AM

Well I should have just stopped with your wonderfully astute Dan Quayle is to Obama as Hillary is to Reagan analogy - but topping it off with Obama's lack of having a hot wife (in your opinion) - yep he must not be qualified. Really insightful post- thanks for playing.

First , I would like to congratulate Senator Obama for a job well done.
Secondly, there is nothing wrong with him electing a womas as his running mate. Women has always been the backbone for men in the background.
Thirdly, (My presonal opinion), I couldn't see him trusting her as his Vice President. On the other hand, he is all about "Change". If he feel that, that is the right choice, then let him go for it. I can accept it. I also believe what ever choice he make he will seek God first in his decision.
Last but not least, I hope they are not setting him up to be killed. We must keep in mind that politics is a nasty disease here in the United States as well as other country. It has been said thet the first shall be last and the last shall be first.

    MCCain FOR SURE now!!!!!!!!

  • Posted By: littlevon @ 06/04/2008 8:26:12 AM

Obama does not need Hillary to be VP. She is dirty and can not be trusted. She can try again in eight years. Maybe she will mature by then

  • Posted By: jmccoyjr @ 06/04/2008 7:10:22 AM

Why all this talk of respect for Hillary when she does not respect and fails to even recogonize the historic nature of Obama's victory. She continues to show her true self-centered and entitle-minded nature. I have lost all respect in her and her legacy for what she is doing to the Democratic party.

  • Posted By: strawberry @ 06/04/2008 8:24:24 AM

She says...No decision....checking my options. She has no options...
Obama won. he should tell the B to "forget it" he does not need her on HIS ticket.....He should ignore her and move on toward the election; otherwise Mccain will win.

  • Posted By: strawberry @ 06/04/2008 8:18:49 AM

No HILLARY and BILL on Obama ticket. Obama Won..... IF Hillary on ticket; there will be a lot of MCCain votes immediately. I will be for sure.

Sorry Mickeymouse, but your rhetoric betrays you. No way you are a die dem if you will not support your party in this epic election. AND if that is what you are really going to do, then it is a perfect example of how HRC, through her very destructive campaign, has hurt the Democratic party. She chose this path of low ground that has brought us to this moment.

P.S. I voted for her and wanted her to represent what is best in women and the party. She has betrayed me and my previous respect for her.

If Hill is VP, then Obama better watch for the figurative knife in the back........she would sabotage his administration in hopes of acheiving the presidency

  • Posted By: ladywolf @ 06/04/2008 8:16:17 AM

Oh and one other thing-Obama is half white-so what is the big deal anyway?

  • Posted By: strawberry @ 06/04/2008 8:15:32 AM

NO Hillary or Billary on Rock Obama ticket... Obama won..... kick the Clintons out. we have heard enough. IF IF IF Hillary on ticket.....my vote is reluctantly for MCCain or I will write in my puppy dog.

  • Posted By: strawberry @ 06/04/2008 8:13:05 AM

OBAMA.... u rock. NO HILLARY on ur ticket... u won. kick her to the curb because u do not want HER and BILLARY on ur ticket... He would always be right there telling YOU what he wants and shaking his finger in ur face.. he would be in YOUR oval office with someone under the desk.... U would constantly be having to EXPLAIN Billary.. They could have you impeached so Hillary could be PRESIDENT She doesnt want VP she Wants to BE PRES... and BILLARY as her surrogate dumbo in the back ground telling the world whaat they want to hear.
