that though you don't expect much from any candidate--you expect them to get you out of Iraq quicker.

    LOL
    How redundant is that?

Talk about tripe--I have neve seen someone contradict themselves that much since I've been in here
It is abundantlyclear that the one who does not get it--is you

      Dear, dear stupid;

I wrote - vote what you want to experience.
      That's how one chooses dum-dum.
If you want to make it personal I can do that.

  • Posted By: Rametyn @ 06/05/2008 1:45:18 PM

Wow Alvy--talk about making it personal. LOL
Who's the one going on a tirade? LOL
I am just arguing the obvious, and you again as most Dems do, prove in your own obtuse manner that you vote for no other reason than being a DEm. At least you are half-way honest about it.

I like how you use the word stupid, then argue that

    • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/05/2008 2:35:27 PM

Not a tirade stupid that's for Hills people and AARP blue hairs - just stating the obvious. As usual, dummies (like you) would rather debate the words rather than the meaning.

Now dummy, what did I actually type? The meaning?
Go ahead cut-and-paste it, respond to it, or shut up and deflect regarding how I wrote it. Idiot.
Or just make up stuff like always.
      But stupid, stay on point.

    A MUST READ, FOLKS!!!

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/iraq_usa_intelligence_dc

"President George W. Bush and his top policymakers exaggerated Saddam Hussein's links to terrorism and ignored doubts among intelligence agencies about Iraq's arms programs as they made their case for war, a Senate committee reported on Thursday.

The Senate intelligence committee said in a study that major Bush administration statements that Iraq had a partnership with al Qaeda and provided it with weapons training were unsupported by intelligence, and sometimes contradicted it."

THIS IS WHERE MCCAIN STANDS. THIS IS WHAT HE IS SUPPORTING!!! Over the past 24 months, his voting record mirrors Bush's. This is not change. HE IS BUSH!!

It's a wrap, people!!!! For all Repubs out there unsatisfied w/ the GOP brand, vote LIBERTARIAN!!!

Caroline Kennedy - Author, Attorney; Harvard undergraduate and JD from Columbia.

Jim Johnson - 20 years in Democratic politics on the campaign management side. An abundance of experience in, specifically, vetting VP candidates. Oh, and he was chairman and CEO of Fannie Mae for about 8 years. Masters in Public Policy from Princeton.

Eric Holder - Legal advisor to Barack Obama, Columbia educated (BA and JD); former attorney in the US Dept of Justice.

This seems to me to be an extremely intelligent triumvirate. This is precisely what Barack will bring to the White House - skilled people adept at doing their job, not political appointees and yes-men.

Don't worry - even if you don't vote for Barack, he'll still win, and you can still enjoy the positive externalities. Think nothing of it.

As Reminder,History never lie,Abraham Lincoln pick his opponent Johnson as VP,he was assassinated
J.F.K pick his opponent as VP also face the same fate,Reagan was very lucky able to survive from the same fate,Now its wrong for Obama to Pick his Opponent Hillary Clinton as VP.Interestingly all the assassinated president were regards as few Best President ever elected in America Presidential History.

I'll say one thing for Obama. His mother and grandmother tught him how to speak well.

At least he doesn't say, "wif" or "aks", or behroom", etc. Now Michelle, well she is as common as they come. I'm expecting Tupperware Parties in the Blue Room, a Black Family Reunion on the White House lawn and every inbred relative for sleepovers in the Lincoln Bedroom.

I promise you Alvy, it will not happen again. I will consider posters such as this *** on the street, something to be avoided and ignored.

We know Tony. Trailer. Boots. Mullet. Sex with sister/wife every month after the moonshine is done "a-brewin'". We know.

We get that your father was so gay, when he left your fat mother they put his picture on a tube of KY jelly. It's okay.

But leave Michelle alone. Just because your wifes vibrator comes with air-bags, is no reason to pick on the educated.

Right Jam and you prove my point.

I am reciting fact, while you are giving opinion.
Try backing up you comments with some tangible element of truth. Just spouting off what you "think" is not going to do much in the way of convincing anyone that these highlights about Obama are anything other than what they are.
Offering carrots to terrorists while they are being terrorists is giving in to terroists.
Geez! What rock are you living under.
Have you not heard the REST of the world claim that THEY will never negotiate with terrorists--or wonder why that is?
You should remove the tag from your future postings, because giving opinion without merit is misguiding, and misinforming, and it is misleading.
My opinion could be that the sky is red and not blue--but that doesn't make it so now does it?

    • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/05/2008 1:04:28 PM

      Hey stupid. Listen.
It is not about experience - it is about what you want to experience.
E.g., war or no war, abortion or no abortion, taxes or no tax, big business or no big business, big gov't or no big gov't - get it.

"He said - she said" is a part of the game. Designed to spin you up like a Jedi mind trick.

You HOPE the politician who wins can do something - while not expecting much from Obama, Hills or Mc. It's been this way for 60 years (Way back when Mc was 40).

Everything that you say is tripe. Mc is old and might die at 72. Obama is young and may or may not need more time to acclimate to sharks. So what. It's about will they make a change in the direction with which you personally want the country to follow.

      They are politicians.
I'll vote Dem because there is a better chance of 'gettin' out quicker'. Period. It's what I want -get it? I'm not wrong and I am not right - it is as purely selfish as a vote. My choice. It's never personal for them - so why make it personal for you?

    Cya Ctzn

Try to get Jammetryon's real name if you can. I would hate to think that somewhere down the line I might accidentally hire him as my attorney.

Imagine going into a trial with your lawyer arguing his "opinion" on a case--while the other was arguing fact.

    LOL

    • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 06/05/2008 1:03:13 PM

  • Posted By: Rametyn @ 06/05/2008 11:34:35 AM

This is the intellect of the Dem supporters--name calling and character cracks in lieu of any real logical point. That is attempt number two at trying to pan off not jiibing with Obama as "bigotry"

The day of getting off with terms like "holyroller and bigot" in oder to dilute a viewpoint went out the window somewhere in the nineties. It is passe, and makes you look ridiculous in trying to discard true statements simply by pointing a finger and saying "hey, he's a racist."

In no comment posting--and you can go all the way back--have I said anything about the color of his skin.

Like I said, if that is the best you got, then call it in--cause its already over

"Comment: if afro-americans voted on platform not race, there is no way Obama would get over 90% of the afro-american vote ... so if the split was 60/40 or 70/30 HRC would have won ....."

If that were possible (with the black vote), you would have had black nominees long ago.
I???ve read and heard all around that the major thing that changed the minds about black people were those early debates.
Currently, there is much rambling about showing Sen. Clinton respect. The lack of respect she showed in debates was the turning point. Black people did not recognize this version of the Clintons.

    • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 06/04/2008 5:36:53 PM

Perfectly stated, I like a lot of Blacks voted for Bill twice, but this is not the Bill Clinton that I voted for.

Ok, you got it. Go get em LOL

    • Posted By: J.Richter @ 06/04/2008 5:37:30 PM

I keep seeing this uninformed point:
how does it explain Bill Clinton getting 87% in the primaries or both he and Kerry getting 90% black votes in the general? The black vote usually goes monolithically once it is decided. As early as Dec Hilary had 58 - 38% support and as late as SC. Barack only got 75% even less than some white presidential candidates.

Darn those statistics will stop us from attributing Hillary's loss to racism. Now that is not saying she ws not a great competitor.

      • Posted By: davidgergen @ 06/04/2008 5:46:41 PM

Why did the DNC move up South Carolina in the first place? Who was it to favor? What happened to the black vote after SC? What if it were Michigan and Florida they moved up? The DNC had their hand in this from day one. And Obama's claim to fame in his "community activism" was getting the most voters registered in Illinois history. And for whom? Yep. Bill Clinton the racist.

  • Posted By: denmill @ 06/04/2008 8:21:03 PM

I do not think that clinton made it easy for black women to derserte her. Black women unlike White women did not vote on the issues. There had to vote for Obama at any cost because he is black. Obama could be the worst con in the world, the will still vote for him. We all need to acknowlegde that most of the bl;ack voters especially the female black voters are not aware of the political process, they just want a black man president. This is not a racist comment it is just a fact (99.5% of black women voted for Obama). Hillary should run as an independent.

    • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 06/05/2008 11:09:25 AM

Actually Clinton did make it quite easy for them losing the majority of the black vote. They became entirely to comfortable with it and crossed boundaries that they should not have. It started in SC. when they started running their mouthes inappropriately. By the way I am definitely aware of the political issues, please do not attempt to analyze me. As you, as evident by this post, KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BLACK WOMEN

      • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/05/2008 12:11:52 PM

        Hiya SJ:

Little stupid is making up numbers and results. Plus she knows how a black woman thinks. Apparently you don't vote issue - you vote color - unlike the white women who vote issues. Look at all the Hills supporters who voted issues - of course they need drugs now for their frayed nerves.

        99.5% wow. I bet that's accurate.

        Bitter, bitter, stupid.

        • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 06/05/2008 12:49:44 PM

          Hey Alvy,
this is why I keep coming on these boards, because I really really need strangers to tell me how I process information. I am sure that there were a certain number of blacks that voted for Obama just because of his race or half of it. Just as there are a certain number of Clinton supporters, mostly older white woman that voted for her because she was a woman.

In my opinion both groups are equally stupid and uninformed. I am not a stupid woman.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 8:39:22 PM

Rumor has it that Michelle O. wants the costume designer from "The Lion King" to designer her Innagural Gown should Obama win and the soundtrack to be played at the swearing in. Sounds like it's going to be a zoo for the next four years.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 3:40:48 PM

Maybe, but it sounds like a lot more fun than what Hillary had planned. She planned to arrive in a pumkin carriage wearing class slippers - only to turn into a sullery maid the next day. The only problem is that her prince charming was being replaced by a bumbling putz.

  • Posted By: olderwiser @ 06/04/2008 4:31:09 PM

      • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/05/2008 1:19:09 AM

Oh, let me guess. The red phone directs the call directly to the Pant Suit section. Im surprised you didnt add that? I think Im getting numb to all these hillary insults cuz some of them actually make me laugh cuz they can be funny and not mean.

  • Posted By: Rametyn @ 06/05/2008 12:22:47 PM

    I understand you point Rainbow.

But the question still remains. If you have two choice. One that doesn't know alot, and one that does--then why would you consciously pick the one that is the LEAST qualified?

The surgeon comment was meant to exemplify this.

It is not something we would do in any other field of our lives.

But we would in politics for some reason--as long as the label say "Demorcat" then all other mindful attributes we use in selecting choice is somehow strangely overridden.

  • Posted By: Jammetrymon @ 06/05/2008 12:22:37 PM

Poor Rametyn, still so misguided, so misinformed, and so misled.
I never said that Obama called it "peace brokering". That's what I called it. Besides, whatever want to you call it, it does'nt mesn giving in to terrorism, as you seem to think. Turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to what's goung on in Iran is the same type of mistake that got us into this war in the first place.

  • Posted By: Rametyn @ 06/05/2008 12:07:58 PM

    Jam--talk about misguided.

    1. He wasn't talking about peace brokering--find me the quote where he said that. I will compare it to the quotes you can find everywhere in reference to negotiating with Iran--most of these articles reference negotiating with terrorists. And if you want a president who peace brokers deals with people who are killing our men and women in uniform--then you truly are a lawyer--and probably bereft of much moral back bone.

    2. If you only dissasociate yourself from someone when you decide it may harm your political chances--then there is not much more in the way of moral fiber here either. We have to ask, "why--oh,why--did he not dissasociate himself a long time ago for beliefs that have nothing to do with relegion--removing the application of freedom of relegion--because those remarks were under the guise of racially divied speech--otherwise, if it were okay--under the first amendment--then Obama wouldn't have had to relenquish his association with Wright--now WOULD HE?

    3. Rezco was not just his realator-he was also one of the biggest contributors to his campaign. Since you research is so malformed, I suggest you keep on looking. According to some reports--that are everywhere that you somewhow can't find--it has been called reminiscent of whitewater inferences during the Clinton run.

And being a grown up, what I have learned is that you don't have to associate yourself with anyone you don't choose to. It is called character, a trait that is renowed in lawyer jokes the world over as a quality that you don't possess. It is also one of the major differences between Republicans and Democrats.

You are willing to overlook these things in order to "win".

    But we are not.

  • Posted By: Army4RangeR @ 06/04/2008 10:36:07 PM

A vote for McCain is a vote for some sort of SANITY in our nation..Let every candidate stand on their own merits. That being said, you'll see the list of McCain's qualifications about a mile longer than the resume of the idealistic, unrependtant Obama...

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/05/2008 12:46:54 AM

Why not show it to us now, Ranger boy.

  • Posted By: Jammetrymon @ 06/05/2008 11:51:52 AM

Poor Rametyn, so misguided, so misinformed, and so misled.

    1. Yes, Obama clearly stated that he will use diplomacy with Iran. Its called peace brokering, something that is intended to prevent war, like the one were in now, thanks to that close minded village idiot.. That position has not changed.

2, Again, you are correct. Obama WAS a loyal parton of Rev, Wright. But, that's not a lifetime obligation. And it does not mean that he can't criticize him for his controversial remarks, Its part of our religious freedoms, You might find it somewhere under the first amendment.

    3. Rezco was his realtor, ot his henchman. Keep looking, but there's no issue here. As a former attorney, I've had to negotiate and socialize with folks, whose views, belifs and ethical values turned my stomach. But I did not let their positions contaminate my sense of justice and morality, nor keep me from taking the high road.

One day, when you grow up, you may learn that you too may have to associate yourself, in one way or another, with people you dont agree with. The only question is weather you have the ability dissasociate yourself from their way of thinking, as Obama has.
