    CHANGE IS NOT ALWAYS GOOD!

Here are the two most important "WEDGE ISSUES" that are at stake:

    McGreen = Same-Sex Marriages & Higher Taxes

McSame = Traditional Marriages & Lower Taxes.

*As a Moderate Conservative (Independent), I gotta go with McSame.
In my book, sometimes too many ???? scare me.

Just calling dem like I see dem ...

McCain is a joke. The whole World is watching to see if we put this wrinkled old man in. You think America is the laughing stock of the whole world now.

    • Posted By: McCainwillwin @ 06/04/2008 9:31:51 PM

Actually the joke is on the dems. Their "candidate", (read LOSER) has WAY TOO much baggage to ever get elected. Jeremiah Wright heads the list. Unfortunately for you dems, osamabama's chickens are coming home to roost!

I'm sick of all of the mud slinging.

I personally think that if it was an Obama-Clinton White House, our country could achieve great things. Both Senators offer such great ideas, and solutions to many issues facing America, not only today but tomorrow as well.

I hope to see an Obama-Clinton ticket in November.

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/04/2008 3:48:18 AM

IF Obama agreed to offer Hillary the job and lets her accept the role of VP (IF she even wants it), I have no doubt that us democrats would totally roll over McCain in the fall G.E. with absolutely no problem (that is, providing the vetting of Obama between now and Nov. doesnt shake out a BOMB to go off about his past). But all this is based on alot of big IFs.

      • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/04/2008 8:51:54 AM

If she even wants it? Ahem, I think she mentioned last evening that she does.

        • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/05/2008 12:42:55 AM

I didnt know she actually said it. Just thought it was based on Bill Clinton inferring it and the media. I say that cuz there could have been other role(s) in Obamas cabinet she might want , areas where she would be able to be more challenged cuz if she is a vp she would have her hands tied more based on what Obama wanted her involved in. I dont think it is going to happen either way. I cant picture it her as VP and trusting Obama and he trusting her. But then, JFK and Johnson worked together even though they had a great dislike for each other.

      • Posted By: hotstuff @ 06/04/2008 8:44:34 AM

      • Posted By: NewDawn @ 06/04/2008 4:00:20 AM

I personaly believe that Sen Clinton will now be the best candidate to fill in Sen Kennedy's shoes, now that he is fighting the battle against cancer. With a strong Sen Clinton in Senate & Mr Obama in White House, we can get our young Men & Women back home & will be able to provide Universal Healthcare. I think this all worked out great as this primary gave us not only a great president, but also a future leader of our party in Senate so that we can allow Sen Kennedy to rest a while & pass the torch on to Great Sen Clinton.

I'm the last person you want to comment on about bringing people out of Iraq. That's a highly personal issue for me, being a military spouse and sister. The thing about Iraq is we just can't leave, we have to leave with itegrity and grace. We can't leave Iraq in a worse mess than we found it, and leave other countries to render aide and support.

It's like trashing your neighbors house, and then not accepting responsibility for it. If we don't clean up our mess there, what little countries still have respect for us, will quickly be lost.

    • Posted By: LadyE7 @ 06/04/2008 4:46:47 AM

I agree with your comment about the mud slinging. As for Clinton for a running mate, Obama can do much better. The first consideration in choosing a running mate should be trust. Can Obama really trust her? I think not, speaking from a woman's point of view/.

  • Posted By: catitude @ 06/04/2008 5:00:33 AM

I don't feel that Obama is indebted to her.I think he should stay as far away from her that he could.Shes not to be trusted and her remarks about "assasination"signals desperation. This woman is a timebomb.

A vote for McCain is NOT a vote for Hillary. A vote for McCain is a vote for Geo. W Bush.

There are many McCain supporters on this blog posing as Clintonites, urging you to vote for McCain. There are other McCain supporters trying hard to stir up resentment between the pro-Clinton and the pro-Obama Democrats. All of them are trying to manipulate your mind. Don;t forget that your mind belongs to you.

Clintonites everywhere have to ask themselves some hard questions. I know that Obama has been your rival in the Democratic primary, but it pays to know who your real allies are. If you voted for Clinton because you believe in her policies, you would NEVER vote for McCain, whose political stand is OPPOSITE to Clinton's. Even if your don't like Obama or you are ticked off at the fact that Hillary didn't get the nomination, remember, it is not about who you like as much as it is about WHAT they will do in office. Obama's plans and politics are almost identical to Hillary's. Voting for McCain because you are upset that Clinton lost is like shooting yourself in the foot. Do your REALLY want four more years of a failed economy? Do you REALLY want the recession to become another Great Depression?

I am a Republican who decided to vote for Obama, partly because I think he is a great candidate, but even more so because I am very concerned about the economy. Early in the race when it wasn't certain who was going to win the Dem nomination, I used to say that if Obama lost I would vote for McCain. My reason for that was that I'm a Republican, but also because I hated the Bill Clinton drama years, and I just couldn't warm up to Hilary's personality. But two months ago I realized that if Clinton gets the nomination, I would have to vote for her, even though I really don't like her, because voting for McCain would be so dangerous for our economy, which is on the brink of ruin.

I really respected Huckabee's morals and loved his personality, but when I thought it through, I couldn't see him as President, he just wasn't strong enough to tackle the problems facing us today. McCain is in the same boat. You may not like Obama, but you have to admit he ran a great campaign and has some serious chops as a politician. He can get the job done. Hillary could have too. And who knows, she may be the next VP, and in 2016 the first woman President.

Sen. Obama tried to reach a hand out to Sen. Clinton and her supporters last night. It is time for the Democratic party to unite but it must be done the right way. It is said that Sen. Obama must reach out his hand to Sen. Clinton and her supporters at which this should occur and it has. It is also being said that Sen. Clinton might be trying for the V.P position or some other high cabinet position. Sen. Obama should consider her only if she drops out of the race, suspending her campaign is not good enough. She also needs to give a concession speech and throw her support totally to Sen. Obama along with her delegates. Sen. Obama is the Democratic nominee and she needs to act like it. He does respect her and her supporters but he shouldn't be held hostage by her either. He is not stupid and it would be difficult for him to win without her but there is no guarantees that she is going to bring along every one of the people that backed her in the primaries. She hasn't conceded to him yet, she congratulated his campaign. He was even humble enough last night to make the evening be about her when the spotlight should have been on him. The threat of her running for Independent or that she is going to tell him how to run the country needs to end. Suspending her campaign isn't good enough and no deals should be cut until then. Respect for her voice and the people who voted for her has already been accomplished but many of Sen. Clinton's backers still believe she's going to be the nominee and this needs to end. Sen. Obama needs to unify and bring all the democrats home that will come home but send the others on their way. He has done as much as he can to unite at this time the rest is up to her but make her commit.

  • Posted By: Core Democrat in Texas @ 06/04/2008 5:06:34 PM

No one is the democratic nominee until the delegates vote at the convention in August.
The news media can declare whatever they wish, but only the delegates have the authority to decide the nominee by their votes at the convention.

    • Posted By: Interested! @ 06/04/2008 7:37:45 PM

Have you seen the news reels of the conventions of yesteryears? That is when politics were exciting and challenging. The tension when the states call out their electorial votes, the confetti, cheers, tears, was all magic. What we have today is bitter, back biting, shoot your own foot off, mouth. Nothing gets done except create more problems.

I was unsure of Obama about Rev Wright but when this last Priest showed his behind so very well, and Obama dropping out of the church only under pressure, caused me to reconsider what I would do IF Hillary didn't make it to the finish line.

The first thing I did when I realized Hillary wasn't going to make it was stop my money from being deducted each month from my account to the DNC. Done, but a little late.

The second thing was to decide if I hold my nose and vote.

The third thing is which one do I hold my nose and vote for? Obama or McCain?

Fourth, McCain is known to cross the isle. Obama is not know for much..... voting present or not voting at all. No desicion, no stand. Not good.

Fifth, Do I want another four years of oe party rule? Looking at where we are now after the republicans? NO

So Sixth, I know the dems can be just as greedy, ruthless as the republs. History tells us this. Remember HISTORY?

So, the best scenario I can come up with is vote Republican for president and vote democrat for all else. Get VOTING majority in the Senate and the House, and deal with McCain.

Press for Hillary to replace Harry Reid.

This is Barrack Obamas party until November. Then who knows? Is there enough of Obama supporters to put him in the White House? I wonder. and with the ill will that is being generated on this board and others, I sorely doubt that Obama will make it. His supporters are shooting him in both feet.

      Congratulations!

      • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/04/2008 7:54:54 PM

Hold your nose when you vote? I am sure your finger will be glad to be on the outside for a change.

  • Posted By: griffin1 @ 06/04/2008 5:11:42 PM

    • Posted By: Interested! @ 06/04/2008 7:23:17 PM

And so comes the independents...... Grace is not in the Obama supporters campaign vocabulary. Keep it up and the democrat party will be many short of meeting their goal. There are many who resent the attitude of the blacks and young persons of this nation towards those who have supported this nation far longer than many of you have been alive. I wonder just how many of you treat your elderly parents, grandparents. Shame, shame, shame, poor breeding.

"Against Obama" and "for Hillary" are two separate positions. You can be one or the other, or neither, or both. A person can be against Obama because they don't think he's qualified, in which case, Hillary being out of the race does not change your opinion of Obama.

  • Posted By: Pushkincat @ 06/04/2008 5:17:30 PM

There are some good things resulting from Hillary's ungracious and selfish behavior. First she increasingly soils her already suspect legacy and, secondly she continues to increase her already significant negatives. These are good things for those of us who firmly believe that the Clinton era has run its course a long time ago and it is time to move on to a non-Clinton era. One side note on her gender legacy and a possible additional negative gender bias; as the first significant female presidential candidate her petty and selfish behavior may be associated with her gender and make it more difficult for the ensuing female presidential candidates. This tainting of future female candidates by her behavior would be unfortunate and unfair.

Wow, nothing like saying, junmp on in, the water is fine! You may be wondering what happened to all those democrats in November and when you do, reread the posts on the internet. Now, to what I want as a Clinton supporter. I want Hillary to replace Harry Reid in the Senate. I will do the Obamoation supporters a favor and NOT vote for president. That is if you are nice/nice. I actually want checks and balances back in my government. We have had seven years of one party rule. The republicans went wild with the rubber stamp. I see the Obamation suporters acting just like the Bush supporters in 2000 and 04. Like they don't have a lick of sense........following the pied piper over the cliff. And who in their right mind thinks the democrats will be any different needs to do some research on the democrat party.

OBTW, it is the DEMOCRAT Party, NOT the DEMOCRA T IC party. I would be willing to bet that neither the democrats nor the republicans could rightfully be called a DEMOCRATIC party.... LOL

  • Posted By: Interested! @ 06/04/2008 6:26:43 PM

I want Hillary to replace that do nothing harry reid as head of the senate. I think Hillary could work good with McCain, and perhaps, Obama, although he is sooooo liberal that he is about to fall off the lefts side of the earth. I am looking forward to watching him and his supporters while so many voters hold their noses and vote for McCain because the stench of Obama is so strong that holding ones nose won't work!

It would do the Obama herd well if they would develop a sense of humor instead of making so many outrageious demands of everyone. It is going to turn on them and then the fun will start. We can set back and watch them whin, wimp out, and cry foul but it is they who created this mess, so let them mop up after the mess..... LOL

As for the Supremes, if we have debate in our government, we can come out ahead. I don't want one party control, no matrer who is what party. We have had over seven years of one party rule and we are in one hell of a mess. I want checks and balances back into my government. AND just who is foolish enough to think the Democrats are less greedy than the republicans were/are? If so, you need to grow up because it just ain't so. Learn the history of both parties and you will see greed, power, in both. Vote for checks and balances. Let the Dems control Congress and vote republican for president.

I can't see Hillary ever wanting to be Obamas VP. She would over shadow him in experience, ability, knowledge, and been there ..... Hillary is much better than that. Let Obama make his own mistakes and let us Hillary supporters point them out time and time again to you obama supporters.

Besides, Old Thunder Butt, Michelle, needs to learn that when she stands up as a political supporter of her husband, not only can her husband, the supposed president of the USofA, can protect her from being characterized, cartoonized, and much more. Unless someone takes pity on her and explains that she needs to dress, speak as a presidents wife instead of acting and looking as if she was planning a trip to the corner bar for a cool carafe....... I am going to enjoy this one.... wonder how proud she is going to be of OUR nation when she starts reading opinions of her, an dgetting the boos she well deserves. It will happen when the fluff disappears, and that fluff is leaving fast. Touche' michelle......LOLOLOL

To pick on an entire race because some bozo told you to is weak and loose. I'm sure that you're so loose that the FBI would subpoena your teeth and gums for hair samples, but cultural genocide is not the answer idiot.

Well, you started out O.K. but went downhill quickly when you made the "stench of Obama" and "Thunder Butt" comments. So we have another angry and bitter Hillary supporter on the blog. Join the crowd! If I had a dollar for every one of you, I'd have ... well, about $17 million dollars. That's probably not fair, I am sure there are a lot of decent Hillary supporters that are going to support the party in November. Who knows, may that is most of them, and the only idiots from her camp are the ones on this blog. In which case I would get about $50 dollars.

As much as I would like to be a millionaire, I will happily take the $50 dollars.

  • Posted By: gaby43 @ 06/04/2008 6:27:37 PM

One good example: Read the recent comments of Jimmy Carter to The Guardian a British publication regarding Hillary Clinton as a possible VP candidate to join Obama: ???..If you take that 50 percent who just don???t want to vote for Clinton and add it to whatever element there might be who don???t think Obama is white enough or old enough or experienced enough or because he???s got a middle name that sounds Arab, you could have the worst of both worlds,??????.

What AMERICAN CITIZENS need to accept is reality, Obama is a Kenya descendant and his family (grandmother, father, cousins etc.) come from Nyangoma-Kogel in Kenya. His middle name Hussein is an Arab name, very commonly used in Arab countries. There is no way of changing the truth, he was raised partly in Indonesia when he was young, with his mother and stepfather Lolo Soetoro.

There is no such a thing ??????as a middle name that sounds Arab?????? as Jimmy Carter claims.

The truth always prevails and Americans should not feel unconfortable to ONE DAY POSSIBLY HAVE A KENYAN DESCENDANT AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. That is where the reality falls. Already people from Kenya, called Hussein Obama, his brother, as they really feel he belong to them as a Kenyan descendant. See CNN News of today 4 June.

    • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/04/2008 6:40:10 PM

Your middle name is old Persian for "dumb-ass with easy access to dress zipper".
Your first name means "soon to be toothless by rotten candy" in Latin.

See. You're in the melting pot with me, Obama and the rest of the US stupid.
