This milestone is about redefining America, by bringing its people together by creating a new mainstream that includes all citizens; but this campaign will also create new minorities, not on the basis of race or religion but on the basis of political persuasion. These new minorities will begin a new chapter of American experience as they will unwittingly become the foundation of the mainstream; galvanising people of different races and religions who do not want to return to the politics of the past... so it is healthy and good for our emerging politics that these new minorities exist... ironically, their existance creates the binding force of the emerging majority... so I say to people let them have their say... allow them to shout as loud as they may for in the end they will only consolidate our new politics... Good will always win over evil...

At the top of the page, you'll see cartoon charcters of McCain and Obama along with a link that says "See An Interactive Graphic." If you click on that link you'll see a very easy to read summary on the differences between McCain and Obama on various topics. Remember, with the excpetion of health care, Clinton's polilcies are very similar to Obama's. Even on health care, Obama's policy is closer to Clinton's than McCain's.

Try to take a moment and put aside any emotional response and read the differences for each topic. When you're finished, ask yourself objectively and without emotion who's policies you agree with more. If the answer is Obama, then try to at least keep an open mind as the campaign plays out. With emotions still high, no one expects you to endorse Obama at this point - just try to keep an open mind and focus on the policies rather than the personalities, because that is really what is most important.

As a black woman I am impressed by Fritz 's honesty I NEVER thought I would read a republican saying that he would vote for a democrat/ black man hmmmmn I believe that shows how Great Obama truly is !Change is the overall goal for everyone in the world well at least the people who care about the planet not just this nation but the entire world and hes starting with the U.S.A I was a black female who voted for Bill Clinton at one time in my life and I have truly seen him and his wife during her campian for exactly who they are and how they truly feel about black people as a whole unless they can use us for their GAIN we are irrelivant and useless ,you know something like some if not all of white republicans and in all honesty to many black republicans feel also . This nation has to wake up and realize a BLACK MAN is just as capable of building this nation up as the former white presidents have tried to destroy it through war and greed .

By the way, I am not racist. I would campaign for someone like Harold Ford, Jr. who was swift boated in TN a couple of years ago or Colin Powell, of course. There are many deserving blacks that could carry the baton into the WH. Barack Obama is not one of them. His lack of experience at a time when our country is dangling on the edge of the abyss is fatal. To vote for Obama at this point it time is tantamount to Russian-roulette only more dangerous. At least with a six-shooter you have an 83% chance of survival. With Obama at the helm of the ship? Do you feel that lucky??

Couldn't disagree with you more, Jonathan. Obama won because the Rove campaign to smear her over some 17 years worked. Most of Obama's supporters parrot some of the relentless nonsense that came from Republican talking points in the 90's. They are to young, too uninformed, and too lazy to even know that some all of the "s**t they threw against the wall" stuck and they think the rumor and innuendo about Hillary was an honest assessment of who she was and is. First, Hillary would make a much better President than Bill was and how good was he? Well, I would rate his accomplishments in office second to none. That's how good. Most of us who lived and worked under the Clinton Presidency would give almost anything to return to those heady days of peace and prosperity. Many of us will not go along with your false dream. We're either going to vote for McCain or sit this one out. Obama is too inexperienced to step into this most important role right now. He would damage not only our economy but he would either rush to remove the troops from Iraq or go back on his word. In either case he would be making a mistake.

The reason Hill lost? David Shuster's statement that Chelsea was "pimping for Hillary" with virtually no consequence or public outrage shines a light on the rampant sexism that permeated this campaign. Also, the flawed DNC primary system that allowed such a small minority of voters to determine the nominee combined with the Hill-hating media. If my feedback from other Dems is any indication, he's toast. McCain is weak and this was the Dems to lose. Well, I think they have managed that. I know my wife and I will bever vote for Obama and I don't think I am alone.

I couldn't disagree more, Jonathan. Hill lost because the MSM lined up against her. I don't if it was sexism or Clinton-fatigue, but it was obvious to any impartial soul. Combine that with the DNC's flawed primary system which yielded more delegates for Obama than his vote totals should have warranted and you end up with an unelectable candidate. I have always voted for Dems. That will change this year. Along with eliminating MSNBC from my TV preferences, I will either skip voting for President or support McCain. First, let me congraulate Hilary on her divide and conquer campaign, Then explain to DNC that it is about people,not about a name or who has showed you favor and deserves your vote as a delegate or superdelegate, we like to say Hilary won the popular vote and deserves the V.P. or she can help him get more voters, she didn't help him get any votes in the beginning or maybe she did with all the racial stuff, and then continuing on as if her supporters were lock in a gage and could only move on to Barack is she said so, did she for get that people had a mind of their own and could make their on decisions, Those people that would vote for John Mccain if Barack won, would've voted for John McCain if she'd won too, or did she forgett that Rush L. sent them to her after McCain won his delegate. Where would her popular vote be If we didn't count Puerte Rico,(who want be voting in the G.E) or Michingan who move there primary ahead just because they want to hold thier's early, surely this could've waited. Campaigns has to be about the people that you represent. Get it thru your head people, we the people has to stand together as a people and represent .
