You say that it's true that Obama opposed the amendment that called for designating Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization, but that McCain is wrong to suggest that Obama's opposition had anything to do with the IRGC's designation because he was for it but for the "saber rattling." Sounds like Obama was for it before he was against it.

You are wrong, both times you posted this. See above.

The B.S. WAR Begins! Obama dispises Irans Guard AS TERRORIST, this is fact! McCain puts a presidential definition to Patriotism for Veterans, those who serve long enough get the promised benifits,MAYBE, those who don't serve long enough, are not Patriotic enough, for benifits, this is FACT! Obama wants sun, and wind,as renewable energy replacement, this is FACT! McCains energy policy is bulid 20 more nuke plants, remove the states ability to vote! if you wish to store nuclear waste, with 20 more, "We got it,You store it" policy, this is FACT! McCain is complaining we will not attack Iran, for wanting 1 ! This in its self makes no sense at all! 5Years ago McCain was against Bushs policies! NOW HE AGREES WITH THEM ALL!!!! NEED MORE PROOF, MCCAIN IS 4 MORE OF BUSH??? The differences are vast and not close to one other, who will chose wiser?? the oldest most corupt, or the youngest, with nothing political to vett??? Hope is with the younger! The older has to many kick backs comming in from our current delima! Today there are WMDs in Iraq!!! W. Washingtons M. Monatary D. Depletion, or deception! Depends on where you stand! Let the dirt fly. McCains, will kill all visability, Obamas will blow by, like dust in the wind!

I support Obama, and I think you do too. However, if you want to help his cause through blog posts, you might want to learn how to construct an argument and sentences for that matter. You are all over the place.

I'm a McCain supporter, but only because we lost out on having the best possible candidate running for the GOP side - Mitt Romney. McCain needs to sharpen his message and stick to the facts. With all that Obama has done he won't need to make up anything, it is all their in plain view for all to see. If the press gave equal time and objectivity to both candidates we would have a great race on our hands; however, McCain will be fighting both Obama and the press, making the fight that much tougher.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 5:52:10 PM

Romney would have been obliterated by either Clinton or Obama. His flip-flops and panders make McCain's pale in comparison. Last year, I predicted that McCain was the Republicans' only hope for retaining he White House. He's the only candidate out of a pretty sorry field that could possibly give any of the Democrats trouble. Fortunately, so far, he's not managed to find the right tone for his criticism of Obama. He still has a chance to turn it around. I hope he won't, but the opportunity is there.

    RezkoWatch is here to stay!

Since Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.)'s favorite political fixer and personal real estate fairy has been convicted, several loyal RezkoWatchers have contacted admin with concerns that the blog will now shut down.

Oh, no, RW isn't going anywhere! We plan to stay right here as long as it takes to watch Tony Rezko and his merry band of Chicago thugs march one-by-one off to the slammer. Someone has to stick around and keep a running tally on how many more folks Sen. Obama tosses under the bus.

In case nobody has noticed yet, there's still a lot of time left before August rolls around and the delegates gather for the Democratic Party's convention. A presumptive nominee is just that???presumed to be the nominee. Until those votes are cast and the coronation has come to a close, well, there's a lot more to write about.

Should Sen. Obama be the official Democratic nominee, well, there'll be a lot more to talk about between August and November. Keep in mind, Tony Rezko won't be sentenced until September 3, 2008.

And there's that little matter of a couple more Rezko trials, not to mention those pending charges in Las Vegas. What happened in Vegas is going to follow Tony all the way to the pen.

Sit back. Relax. There's a lot more to come! As mohammeds always do...Squeal like a pig. oink oink oink

    NOBAMA!!!

    • Posted By: OBWan @ 06/05/2008 5:46:02 PM

HolyRoller - Actually Rove and Bush got mentioned at the trial, it was on the Chicago news. Which you probably do not get.

Rezko has been very active in raising money for and contributing to politicians ??? Republicans and Democrats ??? at the local, state and federal level. He [Rezko] contributed to President Clinton in the 1990s and served as a co-chair for a multimillion-dollar fundraiser for President George W. Bush in 2003.

    • Posted By: bobbyb4n6 @ 06/05/2008 5:36:21 PM

Wow, racism abounds. Have fun being under a Democratic President for the next 8 years, HolyRoller.

You are such an idiot and a racist!! go ahead, keep shooting yourself in the foot, Laurie.

  • Posted By: teaki2000 @ 06/05/2008 4:34:26 PM

so does Fact Check ever check against Obama and his continued assumptions that McCain will be four more years of Bush politics?

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 4:54:08 PM

Here's a fact for you. McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time in 2007 and 100% so far in 2008.

      • Posted By: jimreedy @ 06/05/2008 5:08:52 PM

You are so, so slanted in your views, that you are not even close to be objective in your comments.

        • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 5:13:34 PM

Damn those slanted facts. Why can't facts be balanced? For instance, whenever someone says that the sky is blue, there should be another sentence saying that it may be red.

          • Posted By: bobbyb4n6 @ 06/05/2008 5:38:04 PM

Didn't you know that the truth has a liberal bias. That is what I heard on Fox News.

            • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 5:44:46 PM

Balance shouldn't be the yardstick for media. Truthful reporting that sticks to the fact should be. Sometimes the facts favor one group over the other. That's fine and as it should be and there may be "two sides to every story", but there is only one right one.

  • Posted By: Flyover Hoosier @ 06/05/2008 4:12:45 PM

Flyover Hoosier comment: Why don't you just drop the farce and stop calling it Newsweek. Your subscription rate is wheezing it's way to zero and your response is to become totally predictable. Oh, forgot you were already. That's why people don't buy the rag. They already know what your agenda is. Filter every story through the same agenda and what comes out is all white wine and brie. What a waste of time.

    • Posted By: bobbyb4n6 @ 06/05/2008 5:40:03 PM

I know. The truth is so darn liberal. Why do they have to report the truth when everyone knows the truth has a liberal bias and liberal agenda. Keep watching Fox News and believe everything your President tells you to believe.

  • Posted By: stur @ 06/05/2008 4:58:09 PM

    A Republican lied!? Wow, there's a surprise.

    • Posted By: ara9557 @ 06/05/2008 5:33:31 PM

And the only truth comes from Democrats... Wow, that's a croc! Brother, wake up!

      • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 5:39:07 PM

Ah...You make a common mistake. You take his statement "A Repulican lied" and apply the converse "A Democrat was honest' and attribute it to the poster. He didn't say that. Nor did he say that truth ONLY comes from Democrats. This would be blatantly false. For instance, Hillary Clinton lied about the sniper fire she encountered in Bosnia. Clinton is a Democrat. Ergo: Some Democrats lied. This fact doesn't in any way diminish the posters point.

  • Posted By: jerzyboy349 @ 06/05/2008 4:32:48 PM

When will Newsweek stop excusing Obama and covering for him? Is this publication on Obama's payroll?
It appears so. Gimme a break.

    • Posted By: bobbyb4n6 @ 06/05/2008 5:38:32 PM

Again, this is just another case of the Liberal media covering the truth and everyone knows the truth has a liberal bias.

    • Posted By: pinkpanther87413 @ 06/05/2008 5:04:35 PM

EXCUSING??? reporting the truth is what they did! McCain said he don't,, and the proof is there,, to prove he does,,,but not by GOP standards! Good job Obama!

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 4:54:42 PM

Did I miss the article that debunked Obama's misquote and lie about McCain advocating 100 years of war? Way to go impartial media.

The media likes to claim a position within our Federalist structure, but cannot be bothered with acting responsibly and fairly. Instead of just reporting both sides of a story, now we have to experience their bias as they tell us what to think.

Before you go off in a tizzy about this not being the media, try looking into who pays the bills at the Annenburg Center.

I am ashamed of the media for their handling of both candidates. This country deserves better.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 4:58:06 PM

McCain has said that our occupation in Iraq (it's not been a war for a long time) may last 100 years. Those are his words, and now he has to bear the consequences.

All this nonsense about Iran. They got a crazy leader, and we got a crazy leader. The only difference is our's killed hundreds of thousands more! TO Selma: Cut Obama some slack! He has to appeal to the Jewish voters. And Jewish voters here are a lot more conservative than those in Israel, where at least they discuss opposition to their government.

    • Posted By: Interested American @ 06/05/2008 4:09:18 PM

Stop cutting politician "slack" when they talk out of both side of their mouths.

And all of this "nonsense" is about a country that would use nuclear weapons if they had them. Deterence doesn't work against people who want to die.

Oh yeah, and regardless of your support for the Iraq War... Iran is responsible for the death of American servicemen and servicewomen... Remember all the rhetoric about supporting the troops? Now is the time to set up. Iran is committing an act of war against this nation by attacking American soldiers. Is any of this registering?

As an aside, "They got... and we got"? Grammar counts, "they have and we have". Don't be mad I ain't hating on you dawg.

SO WE LOOK AT IRAN, AS THEY ARM THEMSELVES!!! 4 TONS OF RX IS ENOUGH TO BUILD IEDS TILL 2525!!!REMEMBER THE LOST EXPLOSIVES!!! THEY KEEP VERY VERY VERY QUIT ABOUT! AS THEY ARE RESPONSABLE FOR 14 OUT OF 16 OF THE TERRORIST WHO TOOK OUT THE WTC, AND THEY ARE STILL RESPONSABLE FOR MORE THAN 40% OF THE INSURGENT WHO KILL OUR TROOPS IN IRAQ! SO STEP UP! OH I FORGOT WATCH OUT FOR THE 900+ SMART BOMBS WE SOLD THEM LAST MONTH!! READY TO STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, OR DOES THE RELESE OF ALL RESPONSABLE FOR THE ATTACK ON THE USS HOOD BY THE SAUDIS MEAN ANY THING TO YOU ALL????!

"He's proven that he will go against the majority when necessary."

Riiiiight. Like how he wasn't for "bring 'em home" before he was pressured by the Democrats to get on board with their admitted lie about immediate troop withdrawal? You people are kidding yourselves. Obama is a stuffed suit.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 5:16:42 PM

Obama has been against the war even before it was popular to be so.

I'm not sure if Obama stuffs his suits. From what I've heard about black men, that wouldn't be necessary. Of course, he could take after his white half in that regard.

  • Posted By: zero001 @ 06/05/2008 4:26:14 PM

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/05/2008 4:55:48 PM

McCain voted for the GI Bill before he voted against it? I hope McCain shares the same fate as the last presidential candidate to use that excuse.

Mc Cain is a lier just like Bush and the rest of them!! They would say anything, do anything to keep control of power and run their destrucful agenda. If Barack Obama is assassinated, do not wonder who did it. The neocons are the ones who killed kennedy, they won't hesitate to kill Obama if he tried to make real changes in this country.
