    HEY REDHEAD:

MCBUSH'S TRAIN HAS ALREADY DERAILED AND IS HEADING FOR THE BRICK WALL, BUT IF OBAMA DOESN'T PICK HILLARY HE MAY JUMP OFF JUST IN THE KNICK OF TIME.

This is just the beginning of the total crash and burn of the "Straight Talk Express." FACT: John McCain has been Bush's 95% boy for 8 years, not a 'maverick.' He is not independent, bipartisan, or truthful. He could not talk straight if his life depended on it. He's another Republican and this country can't afford more of their lies, corruption and trampling on the Constitution.

Should McCain win, his billionheiress wife is going to have to spend her fortune on Depends for Johnny Boy! Everytime he gets caught in a lie he's going to fill those pants up!

Once again, McBush caut=ght with his depends around his ankles! Liar and frauds always get caught!

Simple question, "Why did you vote against the bills?" simple answer, ""I have supported every investigation and ways of finding out what caused the tragedy." Where is the skew??? He either forgot, or he lied. That's what the Obama camp is pointing out.

  • Posted By: colonel of truth @ 06/06/2008 1:49:12 PM

When asked a simple question, he couldn't answer it. The reporter asked why he voted against the bills. He could have said, "because of pork barrell spending." But he said he never did. These are the facts and they are certainly not SKEWED. He either forgot, or he lied. Pick your poison.

This report is another case in point, that indicates that what comes out of McCain's mouth is one thing and what he does is another. He says he is getting away from Bush's right wing political philosopy; his partnership with lobbyists, special interests and corporate greed, corruption and moral decay, but then he follows him like an obedient poppy, to raise money behind closed doors, for his political campaign. It is absolutely clear that McCain cannot be trusted. His presidency would be Bush's third term in office. It would be more of the same: a culture of deception, manipulation, false propaganda, greed and outright blatant lies. Lori Robetson is too polite when she reports what he said, in answer to the question, why did he vote twice against the formation of a Katrina investigation committee, " was not true." Not telling the truth is one thing, and a blatant lie is another. The vote in question was devided along party lines. The old codger knows he is deviously lying.
There were many books published before the 2004 election that warned the American voter about deviousness of the Bush adminisration: John W. Dean's, "Worse than Watergate," Bill Press, "Bush Must Go," Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s "Crimes Against Nature," to name but three, but the latest one by Bush's former Press Secretary, Scott McClellan, "What Happened..." tops them all. He is an insider, who apologizes for being an accomplice to such "culture of deception." In it Scott exposes the propaganda blitz the American people were subjected to, by the Bush's White House to justify waging war against Iraq.
McCain is part of the culture of deception. That's why he insists on staying in Iraq for the next one hundred years. The American people both Republicans, Democrats and Independents must get rid of this gang of thugs that hijacked the American government, and thrashed the Constitution. McCain is not the solution; he is part of the problem.

    newage_lightbulb....

How is it biased? Its stating facts. FACTS. Something Repub's and right-wingers have disdain for.
This magazine has MORE than once called out Obama on his faults as well. Like I said, keep exposing the TRUTH. Truth, no matter who you are. Period.

Excellent reporting. I'm sure Faux news won't be doing anything about another one of McCain's BS lies and distortions of truth. Keep up the good work.
I had a dream the other night that Obama was not elected this November, and then for some reason I was years into the future and people were asking me, why we let him lose. It was ominous and frightful. We can't let McCain win, the world can't let McCain win.
To MSNBC and Newsweek, keep exposing the truth!!!

Here we go again. McCain keeps saying that he did everything to find out what went wrong after Hurricane Katrina, but he actually voted TWICE to stop the Commission investigating Katrina.

Now, McCain wants to deny the people in Florida hurricane insurance. Florida has more hurricanes than any other state. They need that insurance. And a good, well- run insurance fund (as opposed to a bad, profit-based fund that does anything to avoid paying valid claims, like happened with Katrina) would save the government LOTS of money whenever we have hurricane disasters.

He says he is committed to saving the Everglades, but he voted against the bill protecting the Everglades. He says he voted against it because of pork-barrel spending in the bill. Honestly, when was the last time any politician voted against a bill because of the pork? The fact is, all bills have pork, and that is why allowing lobbyists to rule Washington is bad. It is the lobbys that add the pork, most of the time.

McCain thinks that most Americans aren't paying attention to what is going on in the world, and that he can take advantage of their ignorance. Sadly, he is right. It is up to us to get informed so we know what is going on and can hold politicians responsible for their actions.

Today McCain announced that he "hates war." If McCain hates war so much, why does he want to bomb Iran and stay in Iraq for 100 years? He knows the war is unpopular and is trying to make himself look like a dove. He is trying to re-write history. Everybody knows McCain is a hawk. Now he's pretending to hate war.

At the same time, he tells you : "You should be very, very afraid. The world is full of terrorists and only hawks like me can keep you safe."

Does anybody else see the irony of this? He's playing a double game.

Besides, it was the hawks (like Cheney, et al) who got us into this mess, and it's the tough diplomats (like Obama) who will get us out. Hawks make you unsafe because they incite anger and war-like behavior by running around threatening people. Diplomats make you safe because they diffuse anger and open new ways for other people to express their greivances without war or terrorism. For example, look what Kennedy did with the Bay of Pigs incident. The Soviet Union had nuclear missiles in Cuba, aimed at Miami and Washington DC. Kennedy got them to remove their missiles, peacefully. He had lots of other options. He could have attacked Cuba or attacked Russia. He could have started WW III. But he didn't. He used TOUGH diplomacy, the same kind that Obama is advocating.

    It works.

You go Nins!! I totally agree with everything you said; and also want to add for the good people of FL that McCain was among those who tried to get Drilling off our FL Gulf coast!! Couldn't you just see it...some of the best beaches in the world totally ruined by oil and then where would everyone move to?? The rich and famous and foreign certainly would NOT come here just for Disney!!! Get a grip people, vote OBAMA!!

  • Posted By: 4carol @ 06/06/2008 12:48:08 PM

Lies, lies and more lies!! That's all we'll ever get from MCWAR. How could he not be familiar with anything concerning Katrina?? It was the worst natural disaster of this century and our government's response was, at best, disgraceful!!!!!! He is a poor excuse for a man, much less a Vietnam vet.

  • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/06/2008 11:47:15 AM

Those days and weeks of watching the aftermath of Katrina and those poor people in NO suffering and dying because of govt. failure, will be forever etched in my mind. Disgraceful!

This is worse than the Bosnia gaffe. This is outright lying! Are we supposed to be idiots? And the constant line is to accuse Barack or any opponent of divisive politics. Pointing out policy differences and falsehood is not divisive politics.

The myth of McCain the independent - Clinton voters please look carefully at this and dont be fooled.

    - This guy votes opposite to Clinton 90% of the time the last 3 years
    - Allows an introducer to use the "B" word against her on a campaign event (At least with BO you have to accuse the media and "supporters" but the man himself defended your candidate against the Bosnia gaffe - in the heat of battle not at the end like McCain is doing now.)
    - has a $5000 tax credit as the main thrust of his health plan in a country in which I in a family of four pay $19000 per year and has no plans for the uninsured leaving us to again pay for it indirectly.
    - Supports Bush's wiretapping program and interpretes the same way his excess encroachment of the constitution and democratic liberties.

McCain has been in Washington so long that he's been on both sides of every issue he comes in contact with, so this should not be viewed as some sort of aberration. He's against torture, but voted to keep the CIA from having to follow the same strictures against it as the military. He's in favor of immigration reform but only after we have secured the border--the southern border that is, the one the Hispanics share with our country. He;' for good government, but has lobbied the government for a couple of sweetheart deals that rewarded a campaign contributor with below market prices for federal land. It just goes to show that one man;s straight talk express is another's gravy train.
