    DO YOUR RESEARCH?

For you that don't get it and feels McBush will give you a better 8 years I ask how is that when he has the same policies as the current President with the lowest ratings in Presidental history. If you are a democrat and feels disrespected by Hillary loss, I ask you to get pass this as you would fighting with your family, at some point you work it out. The democrats need to stand strong and vote our democrat in office with so much at stake. Here are more facts to why: Please keep an open mind. I don't expect the republicans to give a dam because there motto is to get richer and richer, no worries for our economy, the lower and middle class.

Behind the door of Army Spec. Jeremy Duncan's room, part of the wall is torn and hangs in the air, weighted down with black mold. When the wounded combat engineer stands in his shower and looks up, he can see the bathtub on the floor above through a rotted hole. The entire building, constructed between the world wars, often smells like greasy carry-out. Signs of neglect are everywhere: mouse droppings, belly-up cockroaches, stained carpets, cheap mattresses.Soldiers dealing with psychological disorders of their own have been put in charge of others at risk of suicide.

Disengaged clerks, unqualified platoon sergeants and overworked case managers fumble with simple needs: feeding soldiers' families who are close to poverty, replacing a uniform ripped off by medics in the desert sand or helping a brain-damaged soldier remember his next appointment.

The soldiers feel like they are not getting proper respect. This leads to anger."
Most soldiers do not have access to telephones or the internet. Communication with home is solely by letter.

Soldiers can post as many letters as they want a week for free but packages have to be paid for and are censored.

In their headlong rush to stop the first major female candidate from becoming president, the media may have landed the Democrats with perhaps the least qualified presidential nominee ever.

    • Posted By: griffin1 @ 06/10/2008 10:12:38 AM

How qualified were the President's before him. wow let's see, it doesn't look like our economy is doing well. When we had Bill at least we were in surplus, How about Bush who has us in trillions of debt.

You can ridicule this process from now until forever, the fact is Obama is the nominee and he is not dum man very much educated and should not be under estimated, We just have some who are fearful of change and don't believe someone new and fresh can come in with a strong team around him can produce change. Have an open mind. He will improve our country.

NOT TRUE, there are some of Hillary supporters who have decided to vote for another candidate other than Barack Obama not a big majority, if you watched the special two days ago it stated more Hillary supporters are leaning to vote Obama. One voter who was interviewed stated at first she was sad but she understands our Country need a change of leadership and fast. Obama policies for the future is similar to Hillary and not McCain. I quote her remark " WHY WOULD I VOTE FOR A MAN WHO HAS A TOTAL DIFFERENT POSITION THAN WHAT I BELIEVE".

A big majority of Hillary supporters will not vote for Obama in November. The democratic party will not unit especially after the DNC decided not to count every vote from Florida and Michigan!! Alot of Hillary supporters do not like what Obama stands for. McCain is a better choice!!

WE are about to find out whether America is still RACIST. IF BARAK wins he will be the first man to be from two races to win. HE IS BOTH BALCK AND WHITE and that should work in this favor.
McCAIN can only win if he pLAyS the race card. THE REpublicans have destroyed the fabric of this country . THey HAVE TURNED THE LAND OF IMMIGRANTS AND OppORTUNITy TO THE LAND OF DEBT, RACISM AND WAR. THEy HAVE LEFT A HUGE CRATER WHICH McCAIN WANTS TO MAKE DEEpER by CONTINUING their misguided ONE HUNDRED yEAR pOLICIES. BUSH/CHENEy pOLICIES have catered to the rich and put the middle class through hell. I call it Economic Feudalism.

BILL CLINTON is such a gifted man but his one flaw, addiction to women, cost GORE AND HIS WIFE THE presidency. Bill was the best president, we the people, have ever had. ADDICTION will bring anyone down AND THE people AROUND THEM, regardless of who they are. IT is a shame because Bill Clinton has done AMAZING things around the globe and here at home over the last fifteen years.
Hillary I do not know what to say, you are a great women and AMERICA NEEDS yOU.

BARAK, congratulations, I have been commenting on your wave of change since NOVEMEBER. All my posts turned out to be dead on. yOU are a champion who beat another champion.

I would disagree with the notion that if people don't vote for Obama then they are a racist. It's left wing politics that I don't like. If JC Watt, a former Congressman from Oklahoma who happens to be African American, were the Republican nominee I would vote for him. This would especially be true if Watt was the Republican nominee and an extremist like Howard Dean was the Democratic nominnee. Another good conservative who would have been good would have been Lynn Swann. Swann ran for Governor of Pennsylvania and he would have been an intersting choice. So please stop with the race card.

      • Posted By: mmcgee @ 06/10/2008 8:14:58 AM

Well, you do seem to be going for the "if I repeat Obama is a left wing, marxist liberal" often enough people might actually believe you. It's sad really. The republican base really needs to try something new instead of the same old name calling, fear mongering, lies and half truths. If you actually bothered to listen to what Obama has to say he has more in common with Reagan and is far more moderate than McCain. We have tried eight years of right wing, neoconservative war and endless spending to the tune of 9 trillion dollars. Let's try something new.

  • Posted By: Concerned Canadian @ 06/09/2008 1:33:56 AM

Obama is not an extreme liberal..he's just extreme period. In the good ol days , the crazy crap that came out time and time again with Obama's church and his disturbing crowd of 'friends' would have sunk any Presidential candidate. Really don't know what gives....something pretty weird is happening here and its kind of scary. I guess if someone hung out with Charles Mansion during his murder rampage we won't hold that against a person if he or she is running for President...whats the diff.

Core democrat in texas, More dangerous than a man who would continue to send young women and men to die in iraq? A man who hasn't got yhe guts to expose Bush/Cheney etal. for cooking up a phony excuse to invade iraq? Are you claiming to have endorsed hillary and her plan to withdraw from Iraq and have no problem switching to mcCain who has every intention to staying there indefinitely and sacrificing several thousands more young lives?

    • Posted By: Core Democrat in Texas @ 06/06/2008 6:01:07 PM

Exactly. In a choice between Obama and McCain, I see far greater danger from Obama.

      • Posted By: Nins @ 06/07/2008 1:32:02 AM

Why is that? Maybe you are in the oil industry, Texas?

        • Posted By: Core Democrat in Texas @ 06/09/2008 6:34:28 PM

Yep, everybody in Texas has an oil well --- you are so astute.
Do all of Obama's supporters own nuclear reactors?

    • Posted By: Core Democrat in Texas @ 06/06/2008 6:06:37 PM

So you now admit that Hillary actually had a plan to withdraw from Iraq?

  • Posted By: McCainwillwin @ 06/08/2008 10:01:01 AM

TRUTH when osamabama LOSES the election. The REAL truth is that the electorate WILL repudiate (reject emphatically, for you illiterate libs) the EXTREME LIBERALISM that spews forth from osamabama! The guy's a FRAUD, a far left wing radical, and a LOSER. When he is REJECTED in November, it will be because of his LIBERALISM, NOT because of his race!

    • Posted By: Nins @ 06/08/2008 1:39:32 PM

Hello, Dear, you have more than a few inaccuracies in you posts. Barack Obama is not an extreme liberal. He is not even a liberal. He is a moderate, and you would know that if you had bothered to read his book Audacity of Hope in which he very extensively discusses his political views. He is the type of person who always sees the big picture and respects other people's views even when he doesn't share them (in contradistinction to you, who repeatedly insults the intelligence of Democrats). An example of Obama's seeing both sides of issues is when the death penalty law came up in Illinois. There were several innocent men on death row, as DNA evidence proved after their original trials. This led to a sweeping (you may say "liberal') movement to abolish the death penalty in Illinois. Law enforcement and criminal justice advocates (you may say "conservatives") wanted to keep the death penalty exactly as it was. Obama worked with both groups (who had no love lost between them), got them to sit down together and hammer out a new law that retained the death penalty, but changed the way in which it was applied.

Calling Obama a "loser" will not make him one, no matter how hard you try, all caps and everything.

I think it is wonderful that you support McCain. How about if you stick to that, and stop bashing everybody who disagrees with you?

      • Posted By: jh35180 @ 06/09/2008 3:40:19 PM

Nins. I respect your passion for Obama. For one I respect you because whenever you are critical you don't get in the gutter like ALVY, or ZIG ZAG. And I will admit that I have gotten into the gutter with them. But in all honesty I am voting for McCain because I think that he will be better on national security and I am afraid that Obama will be ultra left on the economy. That being said I hpe that you have a good day.

  • Posted By: jh35180 @ 06/09/2008 2:03:27 PM

The economy is a mess. However, socialist programs aren't the way to fix the problems. Most economists have said this. Gas prices are ridiculous. Part of the problem has been a do-nothing-but-whine Democratic Congress led by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. In the short run we need more oil drilled but the Dems prevent this. In the long run, yes, we need to look at alternative sources of energy (GM is working on hydrogen powered cars) but in the short run we need more oil drilled but the Dems won't go for it. As far as the mortgage mess we have nobody really to blame but ourselves for this calamity. Finally, up until very recently we have had jobs growth in this country. I personally am not in favor of paying more taxes, but I am afraid that having Obama as President will assure that we will all pay more.

  • Posted By: Nins @ 06/09/2008 2:47:38 AM

I am VERY worried about the economy. So are lots of people, including Rupert Murdoch, multi-billionaire owner of FoxNews and an arch-conservative Republican. Mr. Murdoch is supporting Obama, because he says that McCain is "weak on the economy" and that with McCain as President "the recession would deepen into a depression."

Warren Buffet, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway and the richest man in the world is also supporting Obama, because he also believes Obama has what it takes to turn around our failing economy.

Honestly, I think that both of these men know more about the economy and more about Obama's and McCain's capabilities than either of us do.

Obama will win, and he will change our nation for the better.

    • Posted By: jh35180 @ 06/09/2008 1:54:14 PM

Change. How? Higher taxes. More socialism. More big government intrusion (it was bad enough under Bush with failed laws such as "No Child Left Behind, " Obama is going want to want even more gov interference). More bureacracy. More red tape. Less free enterprise. I am afraid that this is what Obama is about.

News Flash according to the recent polls, Hillary supporters are starting to come around, one voter stated at first she was disappointed but her vote will go to the man who has the same ideas and policies as Hillary Clinton, she believes both parties will come together to win in November. This voter along with many more has joined Hillary at HillaryClinton.com to show support to her and Obama, they said this is the only opportunity we have at this time to change our country.

Obama and Clinton will meet again in weeks to come to join forces, this is not personal but it's about how we can right now shape our government. If we vote out of anger, that will not help our economy, our soldiers, our seniors who are facing foreclosures, the highest rate ever of unemployment, the rising gas prices, ETC.

To the Hillary supporters who don't like the fact that Hillary lost, just remember both candidates received nearly 18 million votes, that tells us that as many supporters who looked to Clinton to fight for a change, so did the 18 million supporters who voted for Obama to fight for change, but at the end of the day. You must remember they are on THE SAME TEAM. Obama and Hillary are not enemies, they ran a hard fight but now like Both candidates said from DAY 1 at the end we will unite because we know whats at stake.

Us Americans should also know what's at stake. We can make all the difference in this world, our voices can be so clear to the republicans that we demand change and sending Obama to the White House we will prevail....

If you want more information about McCain flip flopping from conservative Republican to liberal Democrat back to conservative Republican over the years, take a look at these videos which show news clips of McCain discussing the same issues at different times. Don't take my word for it -- get on the Straight Talk Express and get it straight from the horses mouth:

Mccaine., the democratic option for Democrats.

    • Posted By: Nins @ 06/08/2008 1:40:18 PM

Gosh, Peru, Democrats (real ones) wouldn't touch McCain with a ten foot poll. McCain has PROMISED the right wing of the GOP that he will appoint conservative religious right judges to any and all Federal posts that come open. That includes the Supreme Court, which he explicitly named in this promise. Four of the current Justices are elderly and ready for retirement, making it highly likely that the next President will get to name at least two or three of them. And then, guess what? There are enough conservative Christian judges on the Supreme Court to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

Most Democrats, even ones who are religious themselves and/or oppose abortion, are strongly in favor of retaining the separation of church and state which is so essential to our democracy. Allowing a religious group (more especially a radical right wing one) to control the interpretation and application of the laws by making sure that they control the Supreme Court, well, that doesn't sound too democratic to me.

In addition, McCain is against government funding of birth control and sex education. This opposition included a vote against spending $100 million to reduce teen pregnancy through education. And he opposes the federal minimum wage. On January 24, 2007 he voted to repeal it.

NOT the democratic option for Democrats.

  • Posted By: Nins @ 06/08/2008 1:37:25 PM

Here's some change you can believe in: the amount of times McCain has changed his values and positions on the issues.

The reason that half of the conservative Christian right hates McCain is because they think that they can not trust him. McCain started his career as part of the Christian right (there's a little-known fact). Once he landed in the soup as part of the Keating Five (which almost derailed his career) he positioned himself as a liberal and became a reformer for campaign finance in an effort to ressurect himself. For those of you who don't remember, the Keating scandal had to do with some shim sham corporations pumping money into McCain's coffers. So McCain became a reformer to shine up his tarnished image, and that was his first departure from the right.

Other, more serious betrayals of the right came later, after McCain got swift boated by Bush in 1999. The great Texas Republican political machine laid McCain to waste, and McCain was mad as hell. He started voting against the party line and against Bush. He suddenly supported abortion rights, opposed the Bush tax cuts, co-sponsored a patient's bill of rights with Kennedy and Edwards, and got on the environmental bandwagon with John Kerry. My gosh, he even tried to crack down on gun shows in legislation he put forth with then-Democrat Joe Lieberman. And in 2001, when Senator Jeffords of Vermont switched from Republican to Independent in an effort to counteract Bush's stranglehold on the Senate, McCain announced that he was considering becoming a Democrat, and went into a pow-wow with Senator Tom Daschle at his Sedona ranch. And did you know that John Kerry floated the idea of having McCain as his VP, which would have cemented his status as a newly-minted Democrat.

But instead of joining Kerry, McCain suddenly switched his affiliation, came out in support of Bush in 2004, and jettisoned his liberal image. Suddenly, it was the "old" John McCain from the 1980s back in the saddle, the neo-conservative, take no prisoners Creationist. Against abortion. For the war. The SAME man who opposed a Federal amendment banning gay marriage and openly met with gay groups now was pushing a gay marriage ban in Arizona. The SAME man who said in 1999 that he was opposed to overturning Roe vs. Wade, now suddenly in 2007 is promising the NRB (National Religious Broadcasters) that he will stack the deck in the Supreme Court with religious right judges and overturn Roe vs. Wade.

But the religious right isn't so sure about him. He's supported so many different opposing positions at so many times, that they are afraid that they are getting played in the name of McCain's political expediency.

Really, you can't blame them for distrusting him. Floridave mentions that "at least McCain is to the right of Obama." But the joke is on you. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, McCain was to the LEFT of Obama.

Obamabots have chased off 18 million Clinton supporters. They'll be lucky to get about 10 percent of them back. The DNC , (Dictators National Congress), are a pretty hated group right now. Lots of voters want to exact their revenge and November will be their chance. Get good at ass kissing Obamabots or you'll be kissing your Obama goodbye in November.

  • Posted By: Concerned Canadian @ 06/07/2008 1:27:25 PM

Whats wrong Obamabots ? Can't stand the truth ? Touched a nerve ? Better behave because there are 18 million votes you'll need from your better half to win in November. Obamabots....get really good at kissing ass or kiss your Obama goodbye in November. You see....thats how it works. No DNC in November to bail you guys out.
