    Comment:

Author: McCain Called Wife ***, Trollop
In his book The Real McCain, author Cliff Schecter claims that John McCain made extremely ugly remarks about his wife Cindy McCain during a tirade witnessed by three reporters and two aides. "At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, 'You're getting a little thin up there,'" Schechter writes. "McCain's face reddened, and he responded, 'At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you ***.' McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days

    Clinton, McCain and the B-word

At a campaign event in South Carolina Monday, a female supporter asked John McCain: "How do we beat the ***?"

If the Arizona senator objected to that particular characterization of Sen. Hillary Clinton, he didn't exactly say so.

Instead, as the room erupted in laughter, McCain said he'd try to offer a "translation." Somebody in the audience shouted out, "I thought she was talking about my ex-wife." There was more laughter all around, and then McCain said: "That's an excellent question."

McCain cited a recent Rasmussen poll showing him with a statistically insignificant two-point lead over Clinton, then finally got around to saying, "I respect Sen. Clinton, and I respect anyone who gets the nomination of the Democrat Party."

And yes, as Talking Points Memo notes, that would be the same John McCain who immediately distanced himself from the comments of his own mother when she took a dig at Mitt Romney's Mormon faith

Comment: Yep, lots of ifs??? Also the fact all candidates knew the rules for the Democratic Nomination, thus setting a strategy to meet objectives under those rules. If Democrats had the same rules as Republicans, all other candidates would've run a different campaign, Obama included.
And, do not write off Idaho so quickly for the Democrats. Perhaps if Hillary was running, yes no question Democrats would have no hope of winning Idaho. Obama has a real chance. McCain might very well look back at how he lost some "solid" Republican states if he makes the same mistake on his assumptions as on this article taking for granted Idaho.

Comment: IMPORTANT BULLETIN FOR ALL BLOGGERS ON THIS SITE:

    TO NEWSWEEK STAFF:

This is to report that there is a FRAUD going on, on this site, in which bloggers are using the names of various bloggers (Obama supporters are most likely the culprits) who are fraudulently writing blogs that are deplorable and tagging them under other bloggers names (non-Obama supporters names). I officially reported such a fraudulent abusive use of fake postings that I just viewed on this site today that affected me personally. This is what it said in which the blogger fraudulently used my name as the poster:

IT SAID THIS. I NEVER WROTE THIS. SO ALL OTHER POSTERS, ESPECIALLY FORMER HILLARY SUPPORTERS, BEWARE:

    Posted By: sharenews @ 06/11/2008 03:05:43

Comment: I agree. So why do so many Obama supporters make him out to be a Messiah?

I NEVER wrote the above comment or ANY mention of Obama being a Messiah. At this point I am ready to bring this abusive process that you are using on your site to FOX NEWS as I have done this before and they are very responsive. I have copied this report to send onto the media if I dont see a stop to the smearing of my name or others on this site moving forward!

Hopefully you're from one of those states that includes the canidate's picture on the ballot. You do know what McCain (take note of the correct spelling) looks like don't you? If not, just pick the befuddled looking white guy.

Comment: Yes, McCain is perfect for Democrats. . . if your income is in the top 0.5% of the nation. If you're sure that you'll never have trouble with your mortgage. If your health care insurance covers 100% of every illness with no co-pays and resonable premiums. If you have a hefty 401.K. If you are too old to go to war and have no children who might be sent. If you are too old to ever again need an abortion and you have no daughters or nieces who might need one. If you don't care about all the people who lose their jobs when they are shipped overseas -- or about the tax break that corporations get for taking jobs away from America. If you don't care that the gap in wealth between the upper and middle classes is the widest it has ever been because, baby, you've got yours and the rest of the suckers can just punt. Yes, by all means -- you must vote McCain.

O yes, how about giving away our tax money to Obama;s core supporters. Get more from us working middle class. Give away to those mortgage firms who bank rolled Obama.

Comment: Many of Hillary Clinton's supporters will vote for John McCain in 2008. The DNC and the Media as well as many Obama supporters were unfair and disrespectful to the best candidate, Senator Hillary Clinton. We will send a message to the DNC that they can believe in: No to Obama - the DNC and Media selected candidate.

Comment: Here are the "Top Five" reasons the Democratic National Committee (DNC) gave the delegates of Michigan and Florida to Obama :
    1. Barack Hussein Ossama is Black.
    2. The DNC did not want Michigan and Florida to be burned by black people just like the events of the Los Angeles 1992 riots.
    3. The DNC needs the vote of about 99% black people in order to remain in power.
    4. Keith Oberman did threathen the DNC that he will run as a communist candidate and steal all of the black vote from the DNC.
    5. Howard Dean overheard Sen. Hillary Clinton said that she would stop all the welfare checks that were intended to black people if elected president in order to make them pay for their ingratitudes toward former President Bill Clinton.

Comment: Obama won the nomination because he had a plan tailored to win based on the Democratic Party???s proportional delegate system. He won fairly by following the rules, using his money wisely, and having a campaign staff that wasn???t fighting all the time.

Clinton chose a losing strategy by ignoring the proportional delegate system, by constantly changing her message, by mis-spending millions of donations, and by having a constantly fighting staff.

No one took anything from Clinton that she had won. To say otherwise is sour grapes, and makes democrats look like whiners, whenever they lose.

When people weren???t falling in line with Clinton, HRC had a tendency to use, an often bogus, gender card, and to want to change the rules of the process in mid-race to benefit her. In the waning days of the nominating season Senator Clinton used words to make her followers as bitter as possible. It would be a shame if Clinton had embittered her followers enough to throw the win to McCain in the fall, ensuring that this nation continues with a crappy health care system, a crappy energy system, and a crappy response to the debacle in Iraq. More is at stake this fall then someone???s wounded pride.

Comment: Lowiw - I can't believe you're still on Hillary's back. Jeez - you won. And your allegations regarding the Clintons and murder - please. The Clintons were the most investigated people ever - Does the name Ken Star ring a bell? And the best he could come up with was Monica Lewinsky - big deal. In an earlier blog you also put down Hillary for staying with Bill after he cheated on her. That just is none of your business. Many married people go through all sorts of betrayals and try to find a way to stay together. It was her decision alone to make how to handle that personal situation.

Comment: Comment: Comment: HRC supporters - while I haven't been as successful as I hoped on this site, I have found many allies on other sites including noquarterusa.net and CNN. I'd like to rename our project: Operation Respect. The goal is to go after those who have used vile and malicious comments against Hillary and make sure there are consequences for them - in particular, the folks at Newsweek, MSNBC and their advertisers.

Initially, we just need to ensure we are not boosting rates at MSNBC and Newsweek sees their subscriptions drop (which will lower advertising revenue). Thereafter, we will go after the advertisers (just like the right wing has done successfully in some of their campaigns).. I will be back in touch with boycott details. Thanks to those of you who have added ideas and better tactics than I initially proposed.

Obama supporters - I don't think Barack is behind any of this nor is my anger directed at him (although some of you are really pissing me off calling HRC supporters, dumb, ignorant, stupid, etc.). Please stay out of this and let HRC supports redress our grievances with the people that are really behind our anger.

HRC supporters - I know many of you are angry at Obama. CNN polls show that 17% of HRC supporters will vote for McCain and 22% plan to stay home. I understand. The GE is 5 months away. In the meantime, let's see if we can bring down Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Howard Fineman, Jonathan Alter, etc., to at least take the edge off

Stuborness, rudeness, meaness have no place in politics if you are working toward an America for change. Hiliary is too old and stuborn to change. It is disgusting that the party in which she contended screamed for her to quit even though she has a right to run, and a right to carry her delegates into the convention. The primacy of the party is wrong, and it is a flaw that must be recognized. Segovia had no choice? He was heeding the call of party leaders?

Comment: Well, it ain't over until the white lady concedes and she finally did! She even endorsed Obama! That was mighty white of her! But in the final analysis, she is a sore loser. That has been evident for some time now when there was no way for her to win the nomination but she just kept running. She showed that many whites and even Hispanics don't care for Obama. I mean a black guy can't even win a primary In Puerto Rico?

Of course now the media will be preparing us for Obam's coronation, just like the media & Clift were preparing us for Hillary's coronation back when! Once again, the Liberals will be wrong, Obama will self-destruct and McCain will win in November! Go McCain go!

I have sister and brother-in-laws that are of Hispanic descent that never will vote for a black candidate - even if it is in their best interest to do so. Does not matter party of election (local, state, or national). Now, my Jewish and Asian in-laws that is a whole other matter.

Comment: I knew that there was some level of conflict between blacks and Hispanics but I thought it was at the level of street gangs. Most of the Hispanics are mestizos and you would think that minorities would stick together. I doubt Obama can get 40% of the white vote. There will be increased black participation in this election because of its historical nature but that won't make up for his white shortfall. He will need to make up for it elsewhere. If he can't get it from the Hispanics, then I don't know where else he can. I do know that Jews and Asians don't like blacks, so who else is there to support him?

Comment: Where are you getting this stuff from? You are making blanket statements without any supporting data. You are also a new poster, I do not remember seeing your tag. The reason that I mention this is there is an obvious problem with McCain supporter posing as Clinton supporters an a few posing as Obama supporters. Their only purpose is to keep spreading the hate so that Clinton supporters will turn to McCain. I hope that this is not the case with you. We really need to come together, although I admit that it is difficult to ignore some of the insults, but we must not allow McCain anywhere near the WH!

I, for one, want the person in charge to be smarter than I am. it is an oddity of American politics that we feel it necessary to pander to the undereducated. Comment: Comment: I have a suggestion for all the Clinton supporters who say they are going to vote for McCain. Go to the following website address for the Wall Street Journal:

    http://online.wsj.com/public/page/election2008.html?mod=2_1309

At the top of the page, you'll see cartoon charcters of McCain and Obama along with a link that says "See An Interactive Graphic." If you click on that link you'll see a very easy to read summary on the differences between McCain and Obama on various topics. Remember, with the excpetion of health care, Clinton's polilcies are very similar to Obama's. Even on health care, Obama's policy is closer to Clinton's than McCain's.

Try to take a moment and put aside any emotional response and read the differences for each topic. When you're finished, ask yourself objectively and without emotion who's policies you agree with more. If the answer is Obama, then try to at least keep an open mind as the campaign plays out. With emotions still high, no one expects you to endorse Obama at this point - just try to keep an open mind and focus on the policies rather than the personalities, because that is really what is most important.

    Just a suggestion.

Maybe she lost because the caucuses were attended by a measly 4000 young/rich/ black people who pressured/voted twice and didn't represent the entire state. Maybe she lost because FL & MI were unconstitutionally disqualified from a proper primary and full vote count which falsely skewed the results in Obama's favor which resulted in a nominee that does not represent the majority of registered DEM voters?

Comment: I am a Hillary supporter and always will be. Her speech was generous and a "definite class act." However, I will not endorse Barack Obama because of the same reasons I have always endorsed Hillary. He lacks experience; his cries of "change??? are just that cries, not a real commitment to realistic concrete goals; his politics is an outgrowth of Chicago politics which is not as clean as it should be; and he is simply not "grounded enough" to be the leader of this great county. I can not vote for McCain but I also won't vote for Obama even though Hillary has urged me to do so. My reply is "Oh no, I won't go!" I just hope and pray that before the convention in Denver, the super delegates, pledged delegates, and voters finally realize that Hillary is the best person to lead our country and right the wrong that the present endorsement has perpetrated!

May I suggest that you have a fair minded look at Obama's website. I think that you will find his goals outlined clearly and quite in line with those of his fellow Democrat, Hillary. And as for experience, another Illinois politician with just two years of national experience in the U.S. House once became president and by all accounts did a pretty good job - I am of course referring to Lincoln. Look, I can not guarantee that Obama is the best candidate, but we owe it to ourselves to look carefully at the direction our country has taken and should take and to make the best choice we can. And to "hope and pray" that our choices our wise....

Comment: This milestone is about redefining America, by bringing its people together by creating a new mainstream that includes all citizens; but this campaign will also create new minorities, not on the basis of race or religion but on the basis of political persuasion. These new minorities will begin a new chapter of American experience as they will unwittingly become the foundation of the mainstream; galvanising people of different races and religions who do not want to return to the politics of the past... so it is healthy and good for our emerging politics that these new minorities exist... ironically, their existance creates the binding force of the emerging majority... so I say to people let them have their say... allow them to shout as loud as they may for in the end they will only consolidate our new politics... Good will always win over evil...

Comment: Hillary Clinton is not an enemy to any democrat anymore. It's kinda hard to get used to after 16 months of what felt like trench warfare. But she's a historic candidate, and a good politician. Face it..either candidate would have needed DNC "superdelegates" to get to the nominating number.

Obama won, but only barely. Obama needs Clinton's supporters to win in November, but there really isn't much he can do to make them vote for him. It's not that kind of America yet, thank god. But go ahead, give the republicans another 8 years and maybe we'll get there. Then they'll never lose again.

And don't say Republicans make us safer..the last two started wars.

And don't say Republicans will fix the deficit, they've had control of the country for 20 of the last 28 years, and the only balanced budget was Under Bill Clinton, a DEMOCRAT.

And don't say that Republicans will save us from criminals..they haven't, and they've had every chance to do so.

An don't say that Republicans will save America from things like gay marriage, or abortion, or divorce. They lie every election cycle and say that they care about these issues. But they have NEVER done ANYTHING about ANY of them. If they had then they couldn't make that promise to get a vote next time, could they? Here conservative fishy fishy fishy, climb up on my hook. Comment: To all those who would shift their otherwise Democratic vote to McCain in some effort to 'punish' Obama and some unidentified cabal that 'denied' Hillary the nomination, I can only point out this:
Unless we not only get a Democratic White House but also an unassailable Democratic majority in Congress, the last chance to avoid the crackup will pass us by.
Thirty five years of Reaganomics combined with irresponsible spending by Republicans for purely political and crony-capitalist purposes, have led this country to the BRINK OF INSOLVENCY. It might be argued that the 'govenment is bad and must wither away' Leninist-Republicans have sought this outcome all along - there is no way this government can provide a public pension scheme, a medical plan for the elderly, and a few of the other things an industrialized democracy might like to have, without some serious and painful changes. Only a majority government can accomplish that. If you stay home, or vote for McCain out of spite of some sort, what you most value is doomed.

Comment: I would not agree that Clift, Dowd and Huffington haven't accomplished anything in life! A lot of people were tired of the Clintons. Hillary's speeches were largely about herself, how far she'd come, how many voted for her, how great it was to be out meeting people, how great it felt ... Obama, by contrast, focused much of his talk on the people, their wants, their needs. By the time Clinton figured this out, it was too late and her candidacy got a lot stronger towared the end as she found her voice.

I like Hillary and hope she will get a chance to be VP or take on some other important and prominent role. Her campaign was admirable, and she proved to be a really competitive candidate who appealed to so many voters. I think it will take time for her supporters and for some of Obama's to see eye-to-eye. But we should all unite against the dummy Republicans who think everything is going just fine. Mediocrity is not permissible any longer - we can't afford to waste more time with do-nothing politicians. Tha's what McCain would be.

Comment: Hillary have stated numerous of times during her many debates that whomever wins the nomination the party will unite because they understand the HUGE differences between the two parties, so know when she loses and when she tries to do what she said over and over again, you get on this blog and say she was forced and pressured to say this speech, this is so crazy, of course they wanted her to speak she lost, and Obama was giving her again respect and her space before he even claimed he won. He stated during his speech he will be the nominee, when he was actually the nominee,

Obama has respected Clinton and always said she was qualified to be Commander in Chief and Hillary said the same for him and quote "I have no doubt that Barack Obama is ready to be Commander in Chief. She said these things, now everyone feels she was mistreated and Obama is to blame because he won. He have lots of supporters that believes in him, and although you choose to vote for someone who have policies against what both Hillary and Barack stand for is up to you. Obama will prevail at the end.

Comment: A common theme for many Sen. Clinton supporters is the mistreatment that Hillary was forced to endure during this campaign. While both she (and Sen. Obama) were on occasion treated with disrespect, much of it unfair, all in all this was a remarkably civil campaign. The greatest irony is that now a segment of her supporters plan to protest this "disrespect" by flocking to the party whose core constituents HATE the Clintons. Those Clinton "supporters" who plan to kick all of Hillary's most cherished ideals into the gutter by embracing McCain and the Republican party would do well to remember that these are the very same people who had prepared a dossier and dirty tactics galore to use on "our Hillary" this Fall. The Republicans will welcome and exploit you for their own purposes and then laugh all the way to the bank at your gullibility.

Comment: America should be congratulated... the nomination of senator Obama is a clear manifestation that America has moved beyond race, and if we are honest we must give credit to the white American majority as it is they who have allowed this progress... I also want to make the point that senator Obama did not win this nomination by standing a a black American, he won because he stood as a man, who just happens to be black... we all know that had he stood as a black candidate that the outcome may have been different... I congratulate senator Obama for having the courage to stand as a man and not a black man! It takes a brave man to rise above the rhetoric and symbols of the day; through his courage and foresight black people will achieve a new level of freedom, one that assures them that white Amercica can rise above race if blacks are prepared to leave it behind. I think there is a lesson here for Hilary Clinton and the voice of women she represents... she too should rise above the rhetoric and symbols that have hindered the progress of women... it should have never been raised as an issue in her campaign... It seems to me that this campaign has proved that by engaging in debate about political correctness that one only adds momentum which prolongs the route to the desired outcome... America is not racist, that is clear... black people must follow senator Obama's lead by not engaging in this discussion any longer... they must focus on connecting with white America, because clearly white America wants to connect with them... lets all grab this opportunity... America is changing the world... America is reclaiming its moral authority and demonstrating to the world its true heart and identity....

By the way, where were these 95% in 2004? They could have supported Sharpton, but they didn't.

There are likely more women who voted for Hillary because she's a woman than blacks who voted their race. This is obvious because there are a lot more women then there are blacks.

Comment: He didn't win. Obama was carried across the finish line by the DNC. They something is happening in the USA. Its called not counting all the votes .....twice in a row now. Hillary is the Al Gore of 2008. Get the Democracy straightened out first. This mushy stuff about making history is good media drama. Fact of the matter is the USA is way behind most of the world with ' change '. Other nations already had or have female leaders. There was no issue or argument on sexism. Canada had a female Prime Minister over 15 years ago. Her name is Kim Campbell. No outrage or resistance when she became Prime Minister.
Margaret Thatcher was the Prime Minister of England when Ronald Reagan was President. Germany has a Chancellor, the US equivalent of President , who is a woman. Latvia's President is a woman. India had a female Prime Minister and so did India, and others. The USA has to grow out of their shell. Hillary Clinton faced so much criticism in the USA because she is female in the land where democracy is its foundation.
Hillary Clinton as a female would have pushed the US even further up the ladder of ' change' in line with nations that have no sexism issues when it comes to the leader of the country. USA still has to get more advanced.

BILL CLINTON is such a gifted man but his one flaw, addiction to women, cost GORE AND HIS WIFE THE presidency. Bill was the best president, we the people, have ever had. ADDICTION will bring anyone down AND THE people AROUND THEM, regardless of who they are. IT is a shame because Bill Clinton has done AMAZING things around the globe and here at home over the last fifteen years.
Hillary I do not know what to say, you are a great women and AMERICA NEEDS yOU.

BARAK, congratulations, I have been commenting on your wave of change since NOVEMEBER. All my posts turned out to be dead on. yOU are a champion who beat another champion.
