This link will give her supporters a summary of who (actually) she is. They were going to give it to her but she forgot she has to merit. it.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/24798368#24798368

Apparently Work is still upset about that whole "Kennedy" thing...

As a dedicated Obama supporter, I'll say:
      "let it go"

Nothing's there. It was blown way out of proportion. (and please don't quote Olberman.....he's a clown)

I think it was too much espectations for Sen. Clinton and she wanted special treatment on every evant instead of working on the isses and agenda.

    Just saw HRC's speech--very impressive.

It was courteous, it was respectful, it was intelligent. It made no apologies. It put her campaign into historical perspective, it highlighted the problems facing our country. In other words, she sounded like Obama.

This, ultimately, is how Obama won. Perhaps she could have stolen his thunder by echoing his theme instead of mocking it.

    Guess we'll never know...

I know that this column is an opinion piece. However, I must hand it to you, Ms Clift, you have proven to be one fair, balanced reporter. Thanks.

Afghan: I think the espectations were too much for Sen. Clinton. Her team advisor and specially herself always wanted to be treated as a V.I.P.

WITHOUT THE DNC "AWARDING" OBAMA 59 MICH. DELEGATES..NEITHER CANDITATE HAD THE VOTES NEEDED TO CLINCH..THIS CONTEST SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE CONVENTION FLOOR...WHY IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AFRAID OF DEMOCRACY??? HOWEVER HILLARY HAS DONE THE COUNTRY A MAJOR SERVICE...OBAMA IS NOW UNELECTABLE AND HOPEFULLY AFTER A SINGLE TERM BY THE ELDERLY McCAIN HILLARY CLINTON WILL BE BACK..SHE HAS SHOWN THE KIND OF TUFFNESS AMERICA NEEDS IN A POLITICAL LEADER FOR THESE TIMES..HILLARY 2012!!!

Look people, it's time to move on. She lost. It doesn't matter how many votes she lost by, she lost. Now it is time to look at what to do next. Would you really want to have Bill Gates and Donald Trump together on a ticket? If they ran for a primary, they would both get a great amount of votes, but together, they would be disasterous. The same goes for these two. Both were liked by many people. Most of the differences were so miniscule that there really wasn't much. The main difference was one was a woman and one was a black man.

It's too bad that on such an historic event, we had to have the regular foulups that we do so well, like the Florida and Michigan mess up. It would have been great to have had that be clear, then the outcome wouldn't have been disputed. How about the popular vote versus the delegate count. Maybe more people should be better educated into the idea of why we need to have delegates, instead of the popular vote. If I controlled California, New York, Illinois and Florida, I could control the world. I'm from Oregon and I can tell you like a for a lot of others like me, we are tired of New Hampshire and Iowa discarding all the good candidates and leaving us to vote for the leftovers.

Politics are such a goofy subject anyway. But for me, Obama should put all of them to work. If HIllary wants to show us how powerful she, put her to work doing something. If Bill wants to walk around getting in the way, put him to work. It's not like there is a scarcity of things to do. The problem is all the chest beating and 'Me, Me, Me" that surrounds politics. Put them in charge of something and let them get to it. If they fail, kick their ass out and get someone else. Just like in business. Delegate.

Not so fast Shelton. In you dreams.

Clinton votes for mccaine.. the democratic option.

  • Posted By: emmarcee @ 06/07/2008 11:09:37 AM

We just have to remove the f from your name Eleanor. That was just for that "also ran" part. You asked for it.

  • Posted By: emmarcee @ 06/07/2008 11:06:04 AM

Also ran? Most biased BS. Give it to them my clintonite friends. Even if they "put" her as VP , just to ridicule her again.

The pouting Clinton supporters who plan to embrace McCain and the Republican party would do good to remember that these are the very same people who had prepared a dossier and dirty tactics galore to use on "our Hillary" this Fall. The Republicans will welcome and exploit you for their own purposes and then laugh all the way to the bank at your gullibility..

    • Posted By: Shadoe01 @ 06/07/2008 9:38:42 AM

And how naive would you be to think that the Democrats are not doing everything in their power to bring down the Republicans? I can only say you must a newcomer to politics but maybe you need to listen to Obama as he has already started as has John McCain.

      • Posted By: neos @ 06/07/2008 10:55:34 AM

The point here was that Hillary supporters are threatening to flock to a party that hates Hillary! Many because that felt that Hillary has been mistreated - they are lucky to be spared the swift-boating that McCain and crew had in store for Hillary.

  • Posted By: ravitchn@bellsouth.net @ 06/07/2008 8:35:38 AM

When all this nonsense is over we shall have Pres. McCain and an overwhelmingly democratic congress to fench him in. They will cooperate pretty well most of the time and everyone will get a piece of the pie. Obama cannot be elected. What a lot of time and money spent for nothing.

    • Posted By: the_shelton @ 06/07/2008 10:54:14 AM

You should post after the election. Will you come on and say, oops, sorry. Or better yet, maybe you will sign up for the military to give our overworked boy/girls a break.

  • Posted By: 31steel @ 06/07/2008 8:22:42 AM

I am tired of hearing about HIllary winning if she were in the Republican primaries where winner takes all. Get over it! The rules are the rules and you play by them. She lost because Obama had a better team managing his campaign. Hopefully these skills will spill over into his presidency and help to move our country forward.

  • Posted By: lee226 @ 06/07/2008 8:09:27 AM

In the end there are so many variables, I think it is hard to predict. One thing we know, many need to be educated about the stance on issue for McCain...If all were educated and knew the facts he would never be elected apart for any other impediment.

Hillary Rosen wrote an article in the Huffington Post saying she wasn't a chip to be played by the Hillary Clinton campaign. However the reverse is true as well, Hillary Clinton cannot give my vote to Barak Obama.

On the 40th anniversary of Bobby Kennedy's death, I remember in 2004 thinking how much Barak Obama reminded me of Bobby Kennedy, and my thinking he was the future of the Democratic Party. If I choose not to vote for Obama, or women like me don't vote for Obama it will be viewed as underlying racism vs real questions that have developed during the campaign. For me race did not really enter the dialog until Rev Wright. I know the Clinton history on race. I am puzzled about Barak Obama's thought on race. The speech he gave did not answer any questions. for me, about what he thought of race, it was a distraction, and verbage.

There is also the issue of the press. I was trying to think of a word Chris Matthews could have used for Senator Obama that would be equal to "***". For Mr Obama would "buck" have worked? Could David Schuster have used the word pimp in the same sentence with one of the Obama daughters, and kept his job.? What about Michelle Bernard saying there would be riots if Obama did not win the nomination. I keep hearing from these appaling people how ungracious Mrs Clinton is......
Hillary Clinton fought hard she won more primaries, maybe more of the popular vote, I think caucuses are pretty meaningless except for a small group of insiders.

If Mrs Clinton's supporters are presumed to be under her control one way or another, I think that is a mistaken assumption. For me it is the choices, and actions of Mr Obama that will matter. He did not decisively enough win this nomination, for many of us it isn't a winner take all situation.
By the way to Chris Matthews, I am a college educated woman, with a fairly high IQ, he is going back to only the uneducated supporte Mrs Clinton.

The comment about Obama winnig small caucus states like Idaho, that he has no chance of winning in November needs to be balanced with Clinton's landslide victories in a few states. There is also no way that Hillary Clinton would win West Virginia and Kentucky in the general Election. Those states will go red once the God, Guns and Gays themes of McCain and the Republicans begin to play.

All that I can say is God Bless America, its a bad world out there, no matter who wins, The Dems say we are in a rcession. The Reps say its getting better. Who to believe. Its time all candidates say what it is. I think we are heading towards a depression. Scary thought, maybe the people need to take a good look and not reelect all the canidates and elect government officials that are for the people.

At her Baruch College event in NYC just a few days ago, Hillary Clinton added her name to a Major League Baseball that was inscribed by the famous New York Yankees catcher Yogi Berra with the quote: ???It ain???t over till it???s over.??? Bill Clinton also signed his name to the ball. A photo of it can be seen on ebay. This Yogi Berra quote summarizes the essence of the Clintons??? drive to win and their spirited campaign style. Don???t count them out from politics...just yet.

Nothing HRC suprises anymore. She has come across as disrespectful, arrogant and totally non caring for the candidate or the party. It is like Gov Richardson and others said about her "she feels like she is entitled" to be President of the United States. Somebody needs to really. I don't think HRC will ever be president. THe masses have had a chance to really see her true self, and we don't like it.

I really don't think Sentaor Obama will suffer if he does not pick her as VP... I got two words for those women who say they will vote for John McCain: Supreme Court...

Not to mention the economy, gasoline prices, unemployment and the never ending war in Iraq... I don't see how anybody could vote for a continuation of that situation.

One cannot deny HRC's keen intelligence and political skills.. I hope she will eat her humble pie and get with the party.. We need everybody to win in November.

But if not - oh well.. I am glad the party elders arre taking a stand to let her know that the Clintons are NOT bigger than the PARTY... If she hold out and cause the dems to lose in November, her name will forever be associated with the loss...

Senator Obama will be ok. The country loves him and what he is trying to do for all of us.. HRC is all about HRC. That's all.
