Personally as a woman you should be ashamed of what you are saying in this article, but I understand that some women don't have the dignity to understand that being a sexist is just as bad as being a racist. But you have to have dignity, morality and pride..but from this article I can see its lacking...However I must tell you that I was a Hillary supporter only because she is more qualified..I will never vote for O bama becasue he is a radical racist supporter and denouncing his preacher of Twenty years for self serving political gains is not my idear of a President that I would want.! Never will I vote for Obama..My voet will be for McCain..After 30 years of voting dem, I will vote Republican this time around!

why is it that Sen. obama is responsible for what comes out of someone else mouth. if you have a friend that makes racist or sexist statement please tell them that you can no longer be their friend. i do not want you to tell them not to say that any more but stop bein their friend. that includes uncle joe that always tell you what's right in life , but he also makes racist comments sometime abolut your black friends or co- wokers. we as black people have just had a glass ceiling broken for us as well. Sen. ohbama coluld not say he was fighting for all those black people in america that was hang or killed during civil rights like Sen. clinton could say she was fighting for hard working white people that are less educated.

Youll recall its McCains lobbyist mistress,Cindy then his wife Vicki Iseman who caused McCain to cheat on his second wife like he did on his first wife and You Women convinced John is McCain the Good Moral example on every Americans families values to be Presidential Candidate? He dumped his first Wife Carol Sepp, when she was cripple by car accident then cheat on her while they still married Well could it be because principled politicians such as John McCain joined the dog pack to impeach Bill Clinton for his sexual peccadilloes? As for the supposed affair thats no ones business except for Vicki Iseman.John McCain and his wives. The invasive prying into Bill Clintons relationship with Monica Lewinsky by the media and Congress was despicable, and this is no better, despite any short-term satisfaction of seeing what comes around go around to bite the Republicans in their collective ass.Problem with McCain is for him to get done his agenda in 2000 of lobbyist and campaign finance fraud all the forces would be against it and they would expose his transgressions we need someone above politics.

The primary is over - I am not sure what benefit there is to the articles covering why Hillary lost. They all have the benefit of hindsight. No need to look back - we need to be looking forward. The Republicans and McCain are on the ropes, we just need to knock them out.

Thank you, THANK you, THANK YOU, ZZ. I didnt even bother to read the article after seeing the divisive headline being interpreted by Hillary supporters seeing this article in their face.

It seems to me that any true democrat who would now vote for McSame because their woman didn't win must have been asleep in a Rip Van Winkle coma. Our country has been diminished in the world view, fractured in the economy, robbed of basic civil liberties, lost jobs, houses and wages by a thug and a rogue occupying the present white house. I suspect that some of these people have been only cursory students of history and government. I will not plead for any of these people who would help to extend the reign of terror inflicted on us by the Republicans to change their minds. I suspect that there is not much brain activity there in the first place. I will volunteer many hours to register new voters and hope they can canel out the votes (or non-votes ) of the clueless.

I agree with you - although I think emotions are still running high. Over time, and certianly by election day, I think the number of people who will fall into the category you describe will be quite small.

on the matter of super delegate affinity, just like watergate: follow the money.

It was a great primary race. Historic on so many levels but I take issue with all of the people who talk about how far women have had to come to get to this point, how much they have had to overcome since the days of women marching for equaity and the right to vote. At the same time women were fighting for the vote, black men in the south were being hung in trees for no other reason than because they were black. So it is clear that Senator Obama has overcome much more than any white woman will ever have to overcome to be considered a serious candidate for President. We as a people can look in the mirror and like what we see more than at any time in recent history because of our willingness to take that leap of faith and nominate a man of color for president. Make no mistake, the world is watching.

No one put a gun to her head and forced her to enter the race as the arrogant person she was prior to Iowa.

She has been absolutely ruthless in every negative attack against every male competitor throughout this year, from Edwards to Obama. She certainly dishes it out, but can rarely take it and then she feigns, "Poor me, look how mean and sexist they are to me!"

When the rare time that any of her opponents in this year long race have ever criticized her on her word, her actions, her record, she then cries, Abuse! Sexism!

She boasts the support of white racists as one of her strongest justifications for being the nominee. Despicable! I remember her insistence on Obama during one of the debates, that he use the right exact word to denounce, reject, renounce the support of Farrakhan as an anti-Semitic. So, I am confused, which is worse for her, racism, anti-Semitism, or now is it sexism that she is now using to gain sympathy for herself and her campaign?

There has been case after case of her hubby sexually accosting women throughout their marriage and careers, all the way through to Monica Lewinsky. Hillary has aided, abetted and directed the counter reactions to any charges and allegations. How does any Feminist argue her membership as a feminist at the expense of every woman that he abused? Defending her only diminishes true feminists everywhere.

For the record, I started out supporting Kucinich, then Richardson, then Edwards and now Obama. My point is this; we all have disappointments, but to vote for McCain over Obama, because of your support of scorned Hillary is the assurance that our men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan will continue to suffer. Our domestic problems will be on hold for another 4 years at a cost of $10 billion dollars per week thus furthering the ongoing disintegration of our own homeland infrastructure.

Are you prepared to answer to that reality if McCain becomes our president? Do you realize how many Republicans are guilt ridden and remorseful over their support of idiot Bush and his propaganda machine? Please can we all grow up and stop pretending that Clinton is a poor little victim..

In her speech tonight, she really missed an opportunity to help heal the divide and instead has dealt a bully pulpit blow to the winning nominee by essentially blackmailing his campaign by saying, "Do exactly as I say or you will not get my supporters!" When Clinton respects Obama with her actions and not just her disingenuous words, then we will talk.

    Loulou:
You say you feel the DNC wasn't behind Clinton but you don't give any facts. I don't feel the DNC favored Obama at all. They worked hard on the problem
for a long time and there were people who strongly favored Clinton on the committee. Carl Levin is known to be an honest, even-handed man. He explained excactly why they came to the conclusion about the Michigan votes
and ask if anyone had a better solution. Nobody did. Some complained, but I didn't hear a better solution.

Also, how can you think this was set back for women? We now know for certain that a woman can be elected President of the United States. We did not know this in January. And why should electing the first woman be any more important than the first person of color? This is a turning point in American history. You should be proud that your country took huge step forward.

The economy had another bad day today. When are the people going to point to this worthless congress and say do something! Anything! We cannot go another 2 years with this bunch of losers. Get'em out before they screw things up so badly they can't be fixed. You would almost think they are nothing more than a group of pot smoking hippies without a clue.

I am not a democrat. I will say that the entire liberal flake committee of Hairy Reid, Nancy Pelousy, and Diane Frankenstein along with Coward Bean completely and ruthlessly stabbed Hillary Clinton in the back time and again. Even the media including Newsweak stabbed poor Hillary. Now they want her help and all her voters to support Obama Mohammed. Tell'em to stick it where the sun don't shine amd make them choke on their misdeeds. Do not give up one single vote to this bowl of corn flakes.

    POLITICS OF REACTION

Voters for almost a generation, have voted against sitting Presidents, rather than FOR a new candidate.

Thank you very much. I have the same concerns. IF she is a 100% behind Obama and the Democratic Party, why not relinguish her delegates? No, she does not need to be VP. She needs help paying off her 50 plus millions DOLLARS.

There was an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal this week as to why Clinton lost - most of the article was based on information from people who were part of the Clinton campaign. I thought it was very interesting - some of you probably will too.

These blogs are so helpful to me in understanding how many different ways that people mentally approach the voting booth. I believe that some might even vote for certain clothing and proper shoes as the deciding factor. Don't get me wrong. This is no criticism. I am so glad that we get to choose who runs this country that it all averages out in the long run. Matter of fact, I think that the cameras ought to give us a peek at the candidates' socks before the Town Meetings start so that nobody will be left out. I just love this dam country. And everybody in it.

One Thing that people don't understand is that somewhere down the line the USA will improve for the better. Our wishes are only a small part of the whole process, which builds a leader of great nation. Hanging on the fense and talking about it, will not change anything. It is time to go out a make a change for the good of all people, by making sure John McCain does not get into office.

I have been a fan of yours for years. However, how can you say that if the Dems ran their primary like the Repubs, Hillary would be the nominee? Could I suggest that if that were the case, Obama just might have run a different brand of campaign. Like it or not, his campaign played by the rules, and ultimately won by the rules, even the popular vote; that is, if you count by the rules!

    • Posted By: summer1216 @ 06/06/2008 6:56:42 PM

I think there is no doubt that Obama would have run a different campaign if the rules themselves had been different.
