    One would think focusing on the accomplishments of women 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year would be enough. Yawn.

    I hate the premise of this , and all such "geek is in/geek is the new black " articles.Where do people get off thinking that we geeks,both male and female, need their stamp of approval !?We build the world you live in,you ignorant f***s. We couldn't care less about what you think.
    Personally, I as a male electrical engineer would welcome all the women we can get.A diverse group results in a better engineered product.

    I wonder how much of this pressure against girl geeks comes from other women. As a male engineer, I would be overjoyed if my workplace wasn't such a sausagefest. Not that I'm looking for a dating scene. I and most others there are happily married. But I would enjoy experiencing a normal work environment for once.

    Also, some of the smartest engineers I've known have been women. I wouldn't mind a few more.
