Thanks for the source link! This guy is outta control. That has to be THE worse thing you can call a woman. That is one HUGE point I deduct from him.

And a half point from BO for the SWEETIE comment. Who gives a rat a$$ about stuff like this? Making a big deal out of either situation is just plain stupid.

        • Posted By: mcleodmn @ 06/09/2008 8:58:57 PM

Are you insane? Are you actually comparing the word c*nt with sweetie? I have heard some stupid things in my day, but you deserve a trophy.

I suppose you've never been so mad that you end up saying something that you didn't really mean and/or regret. Things like this are so trivial to me.

Just so I'm not accused of being just another chauvinistic pig, I wouldn???t think much of it if his wife called him a bas_ard at some point. BFD!

And as far as all the swift-boating tactics that are going on here in LIBERAL LAND, nobody's listening except 'Bama fans. We all knew that once the Dem Marathon was finally over the ultra-lib media would start the full frontal attack on JM. It's not like we didn't expect all this BS.

    CLEVELANDSUCKS -

Do your own research, idiot. I can give you 6 sources that report the true account of McC's capture. CNN did a piece on McCain where he admitted giving the N. Vietnamese strategic points of U.S. soldiers. In return, he received favorable treatment from his captors.

Google- "POWs against John McCain" or,
    -http://www.vvof.org/mccain_hides.htm or,
    -http://www.usvetdsp.com/smith_mc.htm or,

This is now mainstream knowledge, f*cking azzhole!! If you take your head outta your azz, and stop drinking that Kool-aid, you might learn something. Idiot.

We can see where you stand simply by reading your writing, and the irony is that you tell others to focus on education when it is obvious you're being nothing more than a facetious hypocrite. (and yes, go ahead and look up the word facetious)

(While you???re at it, look up the word ???demagoguery???, and that seems what Republican candidates and supporters have preached for the last 8 years. And yes, I truly believe that before the last 8 years, of steady downward slide for this country into the muck, Republicans had much to say and a better way of saying it; nowadays, it seems preying on the fears and weakness of a population.)

Before you flip out, know that I???m a moderate conservative who simply sees the writing on the wall and the weakness and fear of people being used. Let???s contrast that with someone who has at least tried to inspire change and instill hope, evident to anyone who takes their heads out of their asses long enough to actually pay attention.

You have to be kidding me. Substance ? This guy is even worse than the current genius we have for "president". Yes, we trust the republican party led by this guy to lead us through the current (republican created) "extremely difficult times". Why, just take a look around at the shining example of peace and prosperity that have been created by these neo CON specialists. Need we say more ?

I am going to ask for clarification on your argument about the worthlessness of soldiers deaths.
I am confused, are you saying that because Obama wants to change the mission in the war on terror to focus on Al Queda and Afganistan that it reduces that irreplaceble value of the soldiers lives that have served with distiction in Iraq. If that is the case I would ask you to look at those lives lost not as in vein, but as soldiers sacrificing not for Iraqi freedom/ democracy, but giving the untilmate sacrifice so that their buddies can come home. It is always confusing to talk about the deaths of America servicemembers when you put a political reasoning behind them. I prefer to keep it simple and choose to believe I hope correctly that every service member it willing to exchange their life for that of their buddy. I know that as a former service member I counted on my buddies and they counted on me. When giving your life in the service of this country you are always protectiong another American no matter the political reasons for the war. This makes no life lost in service of this country in vein/ worthless. While I understand the fear of socialism, if you look seriously at our political structure we are already fairly socialist. (Democrat want government for the poor/ Republican want government for private industry) While you may feel Obama is to far to the left for you, he is clearly not a socialist. Obama???s policies are not even as socialist as those of our comtempory European allies. You and I can debate the merits of which system welfare is better for this country. I do not see how this has anything to do with John McCain cold war outlook on the world, when we need a new direction from a new stlye of leadership.

I love how all you repub supporters are all ready trying to stir up the race card. Clinton tried doing that to, and yeah she got record numbers as well, much higher than old whitey McCain but she still lost. Real Americans who believe in the meliting pot that is America will not fall for the race bait. We are grown ups who see people for who they are, what they say, and more so what they do. Obama has never shown himslef to be a racist, as a matter of fact the only people claiming Obama is racist seem to be racist white people. Let it go a black might make it to the white house. Who Care's? He is by far more in touch with the average American than McCain. If you people want to continue down the same road vote McCain. But I can't afford this anymore. Things are getting way too expensive, and we need somoene who isn't willing to rely on foreing oil. We need someone who wants to creat jobs for Americans. Obama has all ready put out his numbers, cost, and plans for doing this. And guess what economic experts even agree his plans will work. Now what does McCain have plans for? Nothing, he has no numbers out or anything yet he claims Obama is too inexperienced. All McCain knows is military and a fighter pilot who gets shot down twice in his frst coupld missions can't be anything to great for a fighter pilot. Yeah he was a POW, and it is a great story. But when it comes to the economy and actual politics he is lost.

You people are reaching at snippets trying to find a racist. The real racist is McCain. Ask minorities in AZ what they think of him, he does nothing for them. They have big gatherings and ask him to come speak so people can see if the want to vote for him but he doesn't have the time. A senator who doesn't have time for people in his own state??? Seems like he has plenty of time to talk to big corporations though, and defend a losing war. $4 plus for gas is too much, and I am sick of it. We need a change back to a president who tried to get the nation out of debt, like Clinton and the people before him did so well before Bush. Bush doubled the national debt in 8 years, what do you think McCain will do? He has no plans at all.

Oh and one last thing. You people out there claiming that that is a racist church had best watch your mouths and take a damn close look at your own beliefs. Persecuting a church for a snippet of one sermon that one person made is very dangerous. That church has a much stronger Christian faith than most. And guess what they actually have white people to, so how can it be racist? Actaully the United Church of Christ was started and still headed by Germans, Norwegians, Polski's, and people from that area of Europe. So again it is not a black supremesit church. Although people would know that if they ever researched things themselves rather than relying on their friends or the media.

GROW UP EVERYONE, STOP TRYING TO DIVIDE US AND THINK ABOUT THIS GREAT NATION ON THE DECLINE'S FUTURE.

There sure is a huge increase of scared to hell Right Wing Hard Liners posting since Barack Obama won the Nomination its almost ten fold. I did the math do it yourself Its actually quite invigorating to see their ilk running scared.
What in the world are they going to do when Barack Obama wins the Presidency? Maybe they'll move to a different country. One can only HOPE. Oh thats right they are trying to turn that in to a dirty word.

You're the funny one sportlock09, with your lack of complete sentences and vague attempts at belittlement.

Bottom line: McCain's arguments don't hold water and are contradictory to the policies he is NOT changing. When you put the two candidates' statements side-by-side, it's obvious who has substance and who is simply writing off vague statements much like in the past.

We will support you soldiers and get McBush out of office

For you that don't get it and feels McBush will give you a better 8 years I ask how is that when he has the same policies as the current President with the lowest ratings in Presidental history. If you are a democrat and feels disrespected by Hillary loss, I ask you to get pass this as you would fighting with your family, at some point you work it out. The democrats need to stand strong and vote our democrat in office with so much at stake. Here are more facts to why: Please keep an open mind. I don't expect the republicans to give a dam because there motto is to get richer and richer, no worries for our economy, the lower and middle class.

Behind the door of Army Spec. Jeremy Duncan's room, part of the wall is torn and hangs in the air, weighted down with black mold. When the wounded combat engineer stands in his shower and looks up, he can see the bathtub on the floor above through a rotted hole. The entire building, constructed between the world wars, often smells like greasy carry-out. Signs of neglect are everywhere: mouse droppings, belly-up cockroaches, stained carpets, cheap mattresses.Soldiers dealing with psychological disorders of their own have been put in charge of others at risk of suicide.

Disengaged clerks, unqualified platoon sergeants and overworked case managers fumble with simple needs: feeding soldiers' families who are close to poverty, replacing a uniform ripped off by medics in the desert sand or helping a brain-damaged soldier remember his next appointment.

The soldiers feel like they are not getting proper respect. This leads to anger."
Most soldiers do not have access to telephones or the internet. Communication with home is solely by letter.

Soldiers can post as many letters as they want a week for free but packages have to be paid for and are censored.

Is this funny or what? The Republican mouth-breathers are describing mcCain as a middle of the roader. A few months ago the 23%ers were describing him as a liberal traitor to his Party who fathered a Black child and ratted out his fellow POWs. that's when they had Mitt and Huck.. Face the facts...the Hard Right Wing of the Republican party is about as revellent today as the typewriter.

    • Posted By: onepoker @ 06/10/2008 12:12:39 PM

he is definetly a middle of the roader, He pisses off republicans and democrats how much more middle of the road can you be. Do you lefties realize you already won the election? As a conservative I have no representation left in this election. I am pushing for Mccain as a stop gap in the free fall this country is about to take in Liberal lunacy.

More on " THE REAL JOHN MCCAIN " -

"McCain" was shot down over Hanoi in October 1967 on his 23rd mission over North Vietnam and was badly beaten by an angry mob when he was pulled, half-drowned from a lake. Over the next five-and-a-half years in the notorious Hoa Loa Prison he was regularly tortured and mistreated.

It was in 1969 that Carol went to spend the Christmas holiday ??? her third without McCain ??? at her parents??? home. After dinner, she left to drop off some presents at a friend???s house. It wasn???t until some hours later that she was discovered, alone and in terrible pain, next to the wreckage of her car. She had been hurled through the windscreen. And after the accident, Carol was reportedly in bad shape - and McCain started playing the field. When McCain ??? his hair turned prematurely white and his body reduced to little more than a skeleton ??? was released in March 1973, he told reporters he was overjoyed to see Carol again. But friends say privately he was ???appalled??? by the change in her appearance. At first, though, he was kind, assuring her: ???I don???t look so good myself. It???s fine.??? ???I thought, of course, we would live happily ever after,??? says Carol. But as a war hero, McCain was moving in ever-more elevated circles.

The he met Cindy McCain - a wealthy teenager whos dad had enough money to finance his political ambitions. In 1979 ??? while still married to Carol ??? he met Cindy at a cocktail party in Hawaii. Over the next six months he pursued her, flying around the country to see her. Then he began to push to end his marriage.

Here's what some of McCain's pals say happened:

They portray the politician as a self-centred womaniser who effectively abandoned his crippled wife to ???play the field???. They accuse him of finally settling on Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons.
McCain was then earning little more than £25,000 a year as a naval officer, while his new father-in-law, Jim Hensley, was a multi-millionaire who had impeccable political connections.

Here's how one of McCain's former friends puts it: ???This is a guy who makes such a big deal about his character. He has no character. He is a fake. If there was any character in that first marriage, it all belonged to Carol.??? "

to just up and leave Iraq without a plan would cost more American lives then the whole war together . We need someone who knows what they are doing , not someone who only knows how to make nice speeches.

    • Posted By: griffin1 @ 06/10/2008 11:07:45 AM

View his stance again, he does have a plan and he will not pull them at once. McBush plan is to just leave them there, Excuse me but maybe you should be aware that our soldiers suicide rate is up 40%. They have no relief, and most importantly we are fighting a war that should never have been.

Recently reports shows us we were not told the truth when going into this war. Do some research? The difference with Obama I believe the American people will be told not lied too.

McBush recent statement while giving his speech was he will veto any Beer, now what excuse do you have for that. (Did he have a couple before he went in front of the American people)

Over 36 million people voted democratic in the general election between Clinton and Obama, if that doesn't tell you that the American people is in need for change, than you are blinder than Stevie Wonder.

The economy is in shambles and we are still having a debate about McBush, PLEASE
      Obama 08'

Ok Huachuca, you voted for Bush. i'll give youthe benefit of the doubt and say you didn't know then that Bush/Cheney and the gang of 5 cooked up phony evidence to invade Iraq and it has so far sent more than 4000 of our youngest and Bravest women and men to their deaths.

Ok, now however you do know and you're supporting a man who will send several thousand more to their deaths in Iraq.

You say you didn't have much of a choice between Bush and Kerry? now you have a clear choice. Between a man who would sacrifice the lives of our troops to realize his own ambition and aman with intellegence who had the courage to stand up for those servicemen and women whan very few others did. He's got the smarts to choose people we can trust to do their best for us. I don't expect a lot from any President when it comes to Taxes and High Prices but I do expect a President to be truthful about something as vital as declaring a war.

this is a chance for the Republican's who aren't part of the 23%ers to do the right thing.and not be goose stepping behind false leaders.

I did post the source in an earlier comment. It was a June 4th USA Today Poll.

I'll give you the last word, I'm off to my boat.

    • Posted By: Huachuca @ 06/10/2008 11:06:29 AM

Thanks bella - As I said below, this doesn't mean 77% want to quit. But if you will check all of your sources, you will find very few who say we are LOSING. Things are getting better for all of Iraq. If you will Google Jack Straws intel, you will see where most of the false info came from. It's not called "goosestepping, when the only other choice we have is a wimpy, rookie senator with a voting record of 30 present and 6 oops. IF you even knew McCain you would know he IS middle of the road. I didn't think the attacks were fair on McCain in 2000 and I did not vote for Bush in the primaries. But us Republicans don't party hop near as much as you Dems, and I stayed true to my party. Can't say the same for alot of Dems. Enjoy your day off bella...

Lieberman was a democrat but lost in primary, he then ran as independant and won again!! But it seems he has more in common with republicans in voting and is not always happy with the democratic party and their voting decisions. He is very good friends with McCain I think they would be a great team, and unbeatable !!

You got to be joking me, some Hillary supporters who are looking to vote McCain, what a joke. He has no policies that reflect Hillaries or Obama's but here is the lastest from Cnn from McBush own words.

John McCain issued a promise Tuesday that may cause a bit of unrest with a broad swath of voters:

    He'll veto every single beer?

In a slip of the tongue while railing against excessive earmarks at the National Small Business Summit in Washington, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee inadvertently pledged to veto the popular alcoholic beverage.

If you didn't get that McCain said he will "VETO EVERY SINGLE BEER"
WHAT I SAY, WHAT and you are doubting Obama who is a Harvard grad with better plans for our government, WHAT

The Bush administration is now preparing the après-Bush party which will leave either candidate facing a fait accompli. Why is al-Maliki visiting Tehran so often, if not to convince Iran that the forthcoming Status of Forces Agreement between Iran and the US is not aimed at Iran? The SOFA will give US military and contractors (aka mercenary troops Blackwater etc) immunity from crimes commited in Iraq; the right to arrest anyone accused of anything and to hold them in military confinement; air rights under 27,000 ft; and bases in the country. What Iranian in his right mind would believe that this agreement is not one to ensure US presence for a long, long time in the Middle East? The US will be an occupation force in an occupied country, just as the Nazi's were occupiers in Vichy-France. Just as the US supplied both sides with arms in the Iran-Iraq war (Reagan's Contra affair) helped to continue the war and also led to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, which led to the US encouraged uprising of Iraqis after the war and then their abandonment by the same US, this SOFA is setting the stage for a long period of resistance to the US presence in the area and to all the foreseeable consequences of this unwelcomed presence by the people living in those countries.
So, if Congress does not get a backbone and stop this agreement, the next president will be stuck with troops in Iraq for a long time and so will we.

hi tippology, i am a woman. i am of african descent, as we all are. i have used my right to vote to not vote and i have done that because i have never been affected by the causes and policies of a single politician, save Harold Washington and that certainly was not because of the color of his skin. i am not an Obama fan either. If allowed, I will cast a vote this time, for the first time, by writing Mr. Ron Pauls' name on my ballot sheet. Your comments were quite interesting about Sen. Mr. Obama's character and as they are your own opinions I have little choice but to respect them. As you seem to be knowledgeable to some extent on the "rights" achieved by Sen. Mrs. Clinton on behalf of "African-Americans", I was hoping that you might shed some light on exactly what legal "rights" she's won for us. Elaborate for me as well, in what way Sen. Mr. Obama "has shown no respect" for Sen. Clinton. Finally as you seem to assume knowledge that Sen. Mr. Obama did not win the nomination fairly, and here i assume that you are referring to the Michigan/Florida debacle, explain in wht way legally according to established rules would his win have been "earned out right". I refuse to vote for any one on the basis of their skin tone and honestly though i am aware of the old 2% black blood means you're black, I must admit to being miffed at the consistent resurgence of the phrase "the first black nominee" as this denounces (interesting word) the totality of his parents racial contributions. If i might add this: true Sen. Mr. McCain is a hero and a hero is a hero. It seems to me however, that this is touted as part of his " long experience" Are you aware that Sen. McCain was shot down on his first mission, ws captured and held for five years? Are you not curious as to what his mental state is? No joking, does he hear certain noises that cause him anxiety? Did Sen. McCain get and receive adequate mental health treatment? I know our troops today do not! Did war and subsequent captivity have any effect on his outlook of war with other nations or his dealings with them in general? i am a cynic to the utmost degree. i respect this country for what it has achieved in the march of social progress. I am also acutely aware of my environment and generally do not believe politicians can do a damn thing...that is until Pres. Mr. Bush.

I will as you have done so for me respect your views and comments because at the end of the day we are all entitled that much. But I feel strongly that Mr.Obama's character is seriously at question from a number of things and like I said before if he win???s I will be the first one to shake his hand because I love my country first before any leader and that is the right thing to do. I can go on for hours about how this guy???s character to me is flawed, but arrogance which is what I see in Obama and the media have turned my off from this person all together. I simply disagree how Obama is getting so much media exposure on the sole purpose he is a story for the media. Can you imagine how much revenue is being made from the networks simply because they are featuring a story, a speech, a comment this guys is making.

How would you feel if you were running for office of any sort and your opponent is featured on every network, every newspaper, every heading and you were not? Right now instead of history being made the right way, it???s a complete circus because of the media and I think it is time for people to vote of experience. The reason why I question is character because he can stop this anytime he wants. He can call for both candidates to be notice, he can call for equal airtime to ensure fairness but he doesn???t and that to me is greed. But what troubles me the most and most of all is how Black Americans are voting for this guy just because he is African American, to me that???s the nail in the coffin.

I believe in fairness and how can you vote for a person based on his skin like you mention. This is reality and this is what is happening and a person can call it like you want to me its reverse racism. I simply can???t accept this because this is not what other in our race have died for. They died for justice not the same racism they face only with a different tale. McCain may have his flaws but the one thing I can say from what I see is at least his is trying to do the right thing and that speaks more to me than someone again making political moves to reach a mild stone. It???s not history being made here its popularity and when the smoke clears and the new trend are gone we will be face we need a leader not a rally.

Last but not least, our country now is divided because of what people see and hear and I blame that on the media. I have traveled around the world to some pretty shocking countries and the people in these countries may not like their leader but at least they don???t disrespect their leader the way America has. No one but a selected few is or has run for president, even a smaller few can say I have been, but no one can judge a person unless they have been in his or her shoes and as great of a country we have we are crazy to show such a lack of support for our administration. I thank you again for your comments and I would like very much so to keep the responses coming.

Hey idiot. How can you write one can't judge someone unless they have travelled in their shoes - then judge someone who's shoes you have not travelled in? Stupid.

Alvy...You are just a nasty and mean person...several of you are...it disgusts me for you to talk to other human beings the way you do...what goes around comes around...you'll get yours.

No I won't. I'll be fine. If there were such a thing as Karma - Trump would be penniless.
And stupid, if you actually cracked on the haters, and not the haters of the haters - you'd be more believable. So shut up.
