Would you say being a lobbyist is considered "the - right - change" or " the - wrong - change"; perhaps no change at all. They can fool some of the people some of the time but they can't fool all of the people all the time.
the source of the poll is USA today. I punched it up using Iraq War Poll and google has USA today as one of the choices.
bella - although one polls says 23% don't agree the way the war is going, that does not mean 77% want us to be a coward and run. And for the record, I have spent 16 years in the U.S. Army. I am currently on family leave to care for a terminally ill brother, and my enlistment ends 16 july 2008. After that, I am done.
Many, many soldiers do not agree with quitting.
Definition of Wars can be regard as Liberalism Ideal for Republican Party ideology as more Neo party-Substance,Just ask G.W Grandfather Prescott Bush,he's a master ,War Mongering can also be use to in-stir fears and manipulates being Patriotic substance by Politician as easy reasons to be remain re-elected in Oval Office,or just an excuse to said sorry those soldier's parent, kids, wife that perished in War.Why we at War in first? ?first? We should have been on War on hunger ,poverty,Jobless ,homeless, right here not IRAQ.
Jack - Didn't President Johnson start that war back in the 60's? Seems to me I remember a speach of his with alot of the same words. How can you help someone, if they don't want to help themselves? Everyone is given the same kit in life, a block of wood, a bag of tools, and instructions. Some people build a stumbling block, some build a step to lift theirself up.
Don't know who wrote that, but it rings true.
Why now McCain - why haven't you been working to affect change for the last 30 years? And if you have been a so called "change agent" why don't you have anything to show for it? Me thinks you're lying... Who's running your campaign? Lobbyists. Enough said. I think you've been in position so long that you have clearly forgotten who you really work for. If it's a question of character then I have some questions about yours - how can essentially sell your principles and convictions for a nomination? Do you honestly have any principles that aren't for sale? It surely doesn't look like it. McCain is so weak on the economy, and can't tell the difference between a sunni and a shite without his caretaker Liebermann. Your time has come and gone "maverick" - now you're just another gop patsy that will pander for votes, yet consistently side with the bush admin (95% voting record with them) or the lobbyists. McCain is exactly what we DON"T need in a leader right now. BTW, your temper is also an issue. Any man that would audibly call his wife a cun* within earshot of any other living, breathing human being will never get my vote.
McCain is not really my first choice (I really like Mitt Romney), but when you call McCain weak on the economy vs Obama that isn't really a comparison. Obama's answer to the economy is tax, tax, and tax. He talks about a middle income tax cut, but I am afraid that will be just talk. BTW, Obama telling everybody that college is a "birthright" sure seems like pandering. College educations are great but how are we going to pay for evrybod's college. Also, some people get a vocational education (and we are in need of welders, plumbers, etc.) do better financially than many college graduates. Obama makes nice speeches but I am not totally taken by all of his pie in the sky idealism. You have to be practical about things as well as having high ideals.
You still haven't said anything to support the guy who is not your first choice.
Is it because he's distinguished himself as a politician the same was as he's done as a POW?
Mc doesn´t know a damned thing about economy!
(His own words, not mine!)
Interesting that he has actually admitted this a few times. He may be self sabotaging. He doesn't want to win.
Mc's gonna lose.
Not knowing what was being said about oneself by strategist is more offensive than anything Mc accused Obama of doing. Being out-of-the-loop that you created, and not understanding the decision that you made with regard to the war is worse than quacked "inexperience and ambition" foibles.
What is the overall troop moral? Do they know the plan or what they are fighting for? What is the outline of this great plan, and based on "your numbers" how long will it take to win this war? 2013? Why don't the Generals that Obama should be talking to say this? Why do they say "I don't know"?
Mc's lobbyists or beer-handlers don't have that information, and neither does Mc. With 29 years in public office - his accomplishments are two more than the six-year guy - and Mc has no actual dirty hands-on. Mc should be careful because if you're grading on a curve, he gets a "D". And being a hostage almost 40 years ago doesn't qualify you for prez. And Rambo didn't talk.
By a landslide. Pat Buchanan who doesn't like Obama even says so, and Karl Rove agrees..
Just wanted to share:
When it comes to economic policy, Barack Obama's standard campaign crack that a John McCain administration would amount to a third term of George W. Bush contains an awful lot of truth. Yes, McCain is a different man, with a different history, who will face a different set of challenges and opportunities than Bush has. But look through McCain's campaign pledges on the economy, and for the most part they really do amount to a continuation of two key policy priorities of the Bush administration: cutting taxes and moving more economic decisions (and responsibilities) into the hands of individuals.
McCain economic adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin tried over the weekend to make the case that it's Obama who more closely resembles Bush because they're both big spenders. But it's hard to see that one sticking. If this election becomes a referendum on the recent performance of the U.S. economy, Obama wins and McCain loses. It's as simple as that.
Obama 08
if you buy into the obama thing then you will have buyers remorse in 2010
Wow. You should write poetry.
willvoteObama, wasn´t that what you also said regarding the Dems primary?
It looks like you can´t win with your formula!
What is happening in 2010 ???
How to Beat a Rock Star: ???Substance.???
Leave it to SNOOZEWEAK to turn our election process into the next American Idol Show!
How to beat a Rock Star. Puleeeeeze! Are we talking about H.R. Fluff & Stuff?
Hello there Mr Clooney.
No one can beat a rock star. Can't be done.
Hi Pia! Here's the deal:
McCain's got game!
and
Barack is all talk!
Smile!
Got Game? More like Rogaine...
Maybe a little gamesmanship.
Nah!
That too!
Barack Obama wins in a landslide come nov. Nice b'day gift for me.
The Reps chose John McCain because he was the only candidate willing to run, since no one else wanted to run knowing full well they would lose to the Democratic party regardless of who the was nominee.
More like Gamey
I am not sure how to putt this. I served our country and Iam white and have black friends everyone bleads green was our saying. Honestly I have spent some time in the deep south. Old ways die very hard there.I just don't think Barak Obama can cary the southern states. Ok I said now you can all call me racist and slur and cuss its ok I am ready for it. LOL
Marc Berry, that's not racist for you to point out that racists may not (probably won't) vote for him - it's a GIVEN, and I'm an Obamabot. That's why he got his work cut out for him, as has to map a different electoral map for himself considering. Aside form race, politically he would be swinging the slightly-right-of center country far left from the right that they've had for the past 8 years. Some are so down and out, that they're ready for that; some still say, I'll take flip-flopping McCain (who knows what his true positions are regarding Bush' tax cuts (against, then for), use of wiretapping (somewhat against and then for), or right wing conservative ministers ("agents of intolerance," then sought endorsements of, then rejected endorsements of). Now he seems to be talking phased deployment of troops when he backpeddles on the "100 years" comment, as he now distinguishes between warring and peaceful occupation, and gives 2013 as an estimated end time for the war, the '100 years" comment having been initially given as a response to a questioner in town hall meeting about when the war would end. Obama has his work cut out for him, beyond policy, due to RACE. Jews distrust him (as secretly muslim or muslim sympathizing, due to his name); hispanics have long fought with AAs for the same benefits/opportunites in poor communites, making bad blood between them. The elderly came up in a time when the only thing that a black man could do for them was to shine their shoes; the white working class tend to not be as educated, and less educated people tend to buy into stereotypes more/be more ignorant, including racial/prejudicial stereotypes. Hillary's presence in the Democratic primaries greatly stripped the votes of white women of all ages from him, but particularly those who were over 65, who wanted to see a woman in the White House in their lifetime. That left/leaves the majority of the AAs that he carried, the youth he energized, and wealthier, educated whites, male, and female under a certain age, and all these only DEMS. Not only does he have to pick up the REST of his Democratic constituents, but some crossover Republicans, and many Independents, to overcome the stigma of his brown skin, even in a time when it should be the Democrats' election to lose, as sick as people are right now, of the status quo. Rev. Wright and father Pfleger, elitest construed "bittergate," and sexist construed "sweetiegate," and having less U.S. Senate experience than McCain (or Hillary, though she's also a "junior" senator, #39 out 46, I think - she's been in the U.S. Senate for 7 years, to Obama's 3) don't help either - (although that doesn't mean he has NO experience, in that he served in the IL STATE Senate for 7 years prior to the U.S. Senate, and he was a successful community organizer and lawyer/educator, and chief editor of the Harvard Law Review, compared to McCain as POW who graduated 894 out class of 89
Heres an article you might want to read that lends itself to this discussion:
ARTICLE: Can a Black Candidate Be Elected US president?

Your statements are not racist. It is true that old ways die hard in the south. And It will be very difficult for Obama to carry southern states. I am also white and am serving in the military. I am also from Alabama, and I know how some people think in the south. But, saying that, I will still cast my vote for Obama in Alabama.
McCain and his supporters need to get their heads out of the sand and face the reality of how much we
need CHANGE in this country.
Skooly
I dont think it's sand that their heads are stuck in.
Mc, if it´s not sand, what could it be?
The change we need is proper leadership, NOT a socialist president!

More from the "Straight" Talk Express: transparency in campaign finance reform from aftermath of investigation in Keating S&L. Support of troops means no support of their education in Webb GI Bill. Thoughts on Carol McCain: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/09/john-mccains-first-wife-s_n_106021.html, the he referenced publicly as a 'c*nt' for getting too overweight from a car acident that disfigured her, making her need a crutch, then leaving the former swimsuit model for much younger, unharmed/intact, Barbie Doll trophy, rich heiress Cindy Lou Henson, whom he married one monthe after divorce final. Clintonistas, how did McCain TRULY feel about you and Hillary? see https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/09/mccain-campaign-removes-c-n_106065.html that's not "change we can believe in," or "change that we deserve," from the so-called "leader we can believe in."
My last comment was for the soldier stationed in Iraq who has had friends die in front of him on the second page of comments, It was a reply that in error has appeared twice and not by my own doing.-skd500
Lack of Self-Control - Having a temper is one thing. But there's a difference between blowing your stack behind closed doors and McCain's tendency to say the wrong thing in front of the wrong people. Whether it's the childish "bomb Iran" Beach Boys cover, the "100 years is fine with me" gaffe, calling his wife a "c_ _t" in front of reporters, threatening other legislators with violence, or that infamous Chelsea Clinton joke he made at a GOP fundraiser -- McCain has a rare talent for putting his foot in his mouth near an open mic.
I dont think you have a leg to stand on with slip of the tongue mistatements or gaffes as an arguement as Obama and Michelle have been their own worse enemy with things that have come out of their mouths. And they are in their mid 40s, not 71.
list 'em please. They don't compare in scope or quantity to McCain's.
Too many to list in the blog area so here are some URLs:

Driver of Wagons you obviously have zero military experience and your complete ignorance shows. McCain sponsors a bill that would be more beneficial for the military service and those who wish to make it a career. However supporting the troops by supporting a modern professional military obviously does not make sense to you or the Obama who also is completely ignorant on the military, an organization he chose not to serve in. As an active duty member what the Dems don't understand is that the overwhelming majority of the military support McCain, he is one of us.
I thought this article is very inappropriately titled. I think the people in Hollywood endure a lot in the loss of their privacy and ability to be in public. There should be more laws protecting them from hidden cameras invading their privacy, people getting in front of their cars to block them from being able to drive safely, people sticking cameras in their faces to make money, and people making money nonconsensually from the taking of their souls and exploiting them in ways they do not consent to being taken.
I think the American government has a lot to think about if they are now going to start putting down entertainers, because in the end, it may just be the entertainment field who comes out with more subtance and truth than anyone else..............
Thank you to those in Hollywood who stand for truth and see the violation of human rights taking place in this country right now. No one, not any entertainer, any public figure, or any human being should ever have to live through the undending exploitation happening at the hands of a deceptive government that can't take responsibility for itself and its own actions, to then bloodlet from its own people and make laws that protect them and their greed at our expense and so victimize innocent people not only in foreign countries, but right here in the US as well simply so they can live "high on the hog" while we are being treated like the Jewish people in Auschwitz , which was a horrific circumstance, for no other reason than so they can turn the tables on the wrong people and make themselves look noble. Some of us are enduring the unendurable right here, right now, in this country at this moment, and John McCain should be "digging a bit deeper and closer to home" before allowing interviews of himself to be so titled............thank you for allowing my opinion.......skd500
I am sure you are sincere in your beliefs but this has to be the dumbest rant I have ever seen on a msg board
I am sorry MCGwhatever, but it is a shame that you agree with such disrespect of people on the part of this article who have nothing at all to do with his campaign. It think his position and title of this article is shameful and beyond reproach, and the fact that you don't recognize it just shows a lack of being educated on your part, but you are entitled to your opinion, and so am I............skd500
So is it among the majority, A person should be required to have a college degree in somthing to be presadnt of theese united states?
JOHN McSAME having the WRONG SUBSTANCE for being president calibre. He should have been preparing his future by relaxing and choosing his time which Old folks Home..should he be to staying..
I'm wondering why someone with only High School Education background can be better President than those who's having a PHD education like Obama. As he is constitution scholar? While John McCain stand as Candidate in 2008 not even university graduate to be a President.Even Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President of the United States 1861-1865,a Republican, was a Graduated in Law when he was the President.
Beware of Nins too. If you don't agree with all her H.R. Fluff & Stuff rhetoric she puts you in
TIME-OUT! LOL!!
BEWARE OF PROGRESSIVES ... ALSO KNOWN AS THE "LEFT-WING" CONSPIRACY.
They're out to corrupt the minds of our youth! Their everything goes mentality is JUST NOT WRIGHT!!!!
Dear Holly Bailey & Jon Meachan,
Hello...Obama is not a rockstar! Why are you promoting such a stupid label? Most rockstars I know are drug addicits, out of wed mothers and such. There is a time to be serious and now is the time. With $5/gal gas and being in a recession, let's talk about the President race for what it is...to elect the most important person in our world. Sayings like this make it seem like a high school popularity contest.
HEY MORON TED NUGET IS HEAD OF THE NRA!! YOU KNOW ONE OF THE GREATEST GUITAR PLAYES EVER! CALLED THE RIGHT HAND OF THE DEVIL! NOW IS HEAD OF THE NRA! NOT A DRUGGIE, LIKE YOU MUST BE, TO BE SO DENCE!
Learn to read Pink, I said MOST not ALL. When was the last time Ted put out a CD??? I would not consider him a rock star now, 70's yes. Looks like you just got it wrong too.
Ted Nugent is not the head of the NRA, John C. Sigler is the president of the NRA.
