Frankly Jamie, as an Obama supporter I'm sure you are aware that Clinton supporters were regularly called racists. It was equally sickening also. Do some research before you trash the jews. They occupied that land after they were repeatedly attacked. Perhaps they should have just have annexed it? That's what most countries would have done. Until you have to think twice about putting your child on a school bus because it is a target of opportunity, you should shut up. There are two sides to every story.

Are we really serious. When Michael Dukakis came into the picture, nobody talked about his generation coming from another country. People are not afraid because of his middle name. They are afraid because it is a black man with that middle name. It is really sad.

Wake-Up! I'm a Baha'i', every religion (except for Islam) has it's holy land in Israel. Israel must be protected, but, we live in America! The fact that these Christian Palestinians were "kicked-out" of Jerusalem is unfair. Israel is doing a good job of protecting our holy lands, but if the U.S. had better relations with the rest of the world(i.e.an Obama presidency) Israel would be better-off in the long run! AIPAC sounds like the most un-patriotic unpatriotic group I've heard about in a long time, and if You want to be a citizen of another country~go there and live! As for Obama's tract-record, look at how he's protected Israel while in the Senate!
P.S.Anybody looked at McCain's health report???He's taking cholesterol meds.~It doesn't discriminate, it eats ALL the cholesterol in the body(the brain, too)! He is lebotomized~just as the G.O.P. want! Think about someone other than Yourselves! Let's now fight for our Mother Earth, before our children inherit a twisted, burning wreck!

You nare a Bahai like I am!!! Bahai are not suppose to lie, and you are a lier.

ANOTHER JEW HATER ON OBAMA STAFF
Former Rep. David Bonior will be representing Obama at the Democratic National Committee meeting this weekend in Washington DC. Bonior represents a largley Arab district outside of Detroit. It was just announced that Bonner will be representing the Obama campaign at the Democratic National Committee meeting this weekend in Washington, D.C.. As a Congressman, David Bonior was known for his strong opposition to pro-Israel policies, with editor Jonathan Tobin calling him ???the biggest supporter of the anti-Israel Arab lobby in Congress.??? In other words a perfect member of Obama???s Anti-Jew Crew. HOW STUPID Can Obama be? He just spend a week in Boca touring synagogues, to beg for the Jewish vote and just a few days later he hires another Israel hater.
In a press release the Republican Jewish Coalition pointed to a disturbing pattern in Obama???s appointments: ???Barack Obama???s path to strengthening ties with the Jewish community is severely blocked when appointing an anti-Israel figure like David Bonior. While in Congress, Bonior refused to stand by Israel after repeated terrorist attacks, was known as a stalwart opponent to Israel, and is now a representative for Barack Obama. Bonior???s appointment is the latest in a series that raises serious questions and doubts about Barack Obama???s positions and judgments on the Middle East.???
David Bonior repeatedly opposed pro-Israel legislation. In 1997, he was one of 15 Congressmen who signed a letter asking President Clinton to pressure Israel. In 2002, David Bonior was one of only 21 Congressmen who opposed H.R. 392, which publicly affirmed Congress???s support of Israel???s right to self-defense and called for the dismantling of the Palestinian terrorist infrastructure. In 1990, David Bonior was one of only 34 Congressman to vote against a measure naming Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. In 1989, Bonior was one of six House members to vote against a bill that prevented US funds from going to UN entities that granted the PLO membership. Throughout his career, Bonior repeatedly opposed US aid to Israel and supported arms sales to Arab states.

Barack Hussein will get a free pass, simply because he???s a liberal black Democrat. If any candidate were to have a white nationalist figure represent them at a Republic party meeting, they would be skewered! So this is what we have to look forward to with an Obama Presidency. He will surround himself with former terrorists, current terror supporters, and black racists. And the brave few people that speak out against this are called racists, bigots and rightwing nutjobs.

Bonior sounds like a good guy. No, I'm not being sarcastic.

I cannot believe that as Americans we are so concerned with another country. The US is "supposed" to have a role in settling a long standing issue in the middle east which is the occupation of Palestinian land by Israel. Israel is an occupier and they are being treated as the victim. Yes the Palestinians are resisting the occupation and yes some are using tactics that are impacting civilians, while Israel is also attacking and slowly killing and "improsining" whole population of Palestinians. I am not saying that the US cannot support Israel, but the amount of support and the attention paid to "jewish" vote is frankly sickinging. What happened to fairness? What happened to human rights? I for one am sick and tired of having to walk on egg shells as an American because any critisicsim of Israel is seen as "anti semitic". Does that mean every criticism of Barack Obama make a person "racist"?

Learn your facts, Konfusius, Budha, Shinto had nothing to do with Israel, and they are the majority of the world population.

    Smiley,

Obama has no relationship to Farrakan, his ex-minister does. I also find it interesting that both Ed Rendell and Joe Lieberman, both Jewish, have praised Minister Farrakan in the past with no consequences. Why is Obama held to a higher standard? Doesn't the endorsement of Jewish persons from Chicago, the ones who know him best, carry any weight?

    • Posted By: slb1113 @ 06/09/2008 1:52:27 PM

You are kidding me, right? Lieberman was vilified by Jewish organizations and his own peers (and rightly so) for his brief dance with Louis Farrakhan. Again,, Obama supporters deflect criticism of their messiah by saying well so and so did it. When Obama's long-time spiritual mentor (which is how Obama describes Wright) and his Church glorify Farrakhan with accolades, yeah I have SERIOUS questions about Obama's thoughts on Jews.

GO to Nadar site , where BHO's remarks on anti-israel is listed. He has 20 years association with Rev. Wright, who has openely talked about the palestineans cause and BHO's other Muslim associations are with muslims (his college friends) and chicago professor clearly shows his anti-Israel sentiment. Also his latest remark Jerusalem should not be divided. People are smart and they don't get carried away by the empty speech. They know what is best for the security of the country and how much important to elect a person with experience and whom they know long enough

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/09/2008 1:03:04 PM

      "People are smart ..."

But aparently you are not. Was there a cogent point in that mess?

      • Posted By: Jack313 @ 06/09/2008 1:25:36 PM

Pro-Palestinian is not by definition anti-Israeli. Often it is simply the desire for peace and equity. Peace and equity require the coexistence of both pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli viewpoints.

        • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/09/2008 1:43:54 PM

You are correct. I'm neither pro nor anti Israel. I assess their actions like I would any other country. I do the same for the Palestinians. They have a point, but violence cannot be condoned. Additionally, it will have the opposite affect than they desire. They will get less respect from Israel, the more innocent civilians they kill. It's a mess with both sides seemingly irreparably clenched in a death spiral.

So obama continues to bash and blame Hillary for anything that he deems less than perfect from her. What is the matter with this person? Why can't he just start paying attention to letting people see him for his reality rather than being worried about his saint like image tarnished. I am so sick of obama and his perfect image that just because of that I will not vote for him. Look up his non-record and read for yourself what he is hiding about his dislike of the Jews. His close associate Louis Farrakhan hates Jews - as does his esteemed reverend Wright. So right there in front of you, but he still must blame Hillary. I hope and I will pray that McCain wins by a landslide in November and obama just vanishes up to his heaven he has created. Good riddance.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/09/2008 1:36:59 PM

I assume you are in California, based on your name. Here's a clue. California is going to Barack's column. So, you can vote for McCain if you want. We won't hold it against you.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/09/2008 1:36:01 PM

Where did he blame Clinton again? Please enlighten us.

  • Posted By: newage_lightbulb @ 06/09/2008 1:30:54 PM

"Comment: No. It's not. Perhaps in the bifurcated worldview of conservative it is. But that doesn't represent reality."

I love how liberals preach fantasy, then keep repeating over and over "It's reality!" Keep telling yourself that. Only in a fantasy land is arguing for your bitter enemy not against your own cause.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/09/2008 1:35:35 PM

No. It is reality. Otherwise, why aren't we simply telling the Israelis to pave over the occupied territories? Even George Bush has acknowledged that peace is predicated on the creation of a stable Palestinian state. If Palestine was defacto enemies of the US, then why would he bother?

  • Posted By: newage_lightbulb @ 06/09/2008 1:15:56 PM

Isn't it hilarious how openly biased Newsweek is? They will not touch any of the issues surrounding Obama except to 'clear them' in about three paragraphs of nonsense. But they keep running attack after attack on McCain using the most spurious and biased 'logic' ever seen.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/09/2008 1:30:09 PM

No. It's not biased. The truth isn't balanced. It's just simply the truth. It's not Newsweek's fault that McCain has made serious gaffes that have brought into question his grasp of policy as well as his motivations. Personally, I forgive him. My old aunts and uncles also have "senior moments" every once in awhile.

Pro-Palestinian is not by definition anti-Israeli. Often it is simply the desire for peace and equity in the region. Peace and equity can only be achieved by coexistent pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli viewpoints.

The truth is, just like the rednecks in West Virginia, there ARE alot of Jewish people that will not vote for Obama "Just Because"...
I've asked EVERY Jewish (Democrat) freind i've come accross and asked them to give me a straight answer, when asked "Would they vote for Obama?" ...98% took WAY TOO LONG to answer the question. Why is that?

"I've asked EVERY Jewish (Democrat) freind i've come accross and asked them to give me a straight answer, when asked "Would they vote for Obama?" ...98% took WAY TOO LONG to answer the question. Why is that?"

Juan, I'm Jewish and was a Hillary Clinton supporter. I now support Obama. I talk politics with my friends all the time. Almost every Jew I talk to, including strong supporters of Israel (as am I) supports and will vote for Obama. Yes there are some who are suspicious of him, but polls show that Jews overwhelmingly support him.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/09/2008 12:54:10 PM

It's most likely because the majority of people don't have command of the reasons that they support a candidate. A lot of it is intuition, which is often difficult to describe. Those of us who have easy access to the part of our brain dedicated to political discourse are lucky.

My guess if you'd see the same trend for supporters of conservatives.

  • Posted By: mlbuie @ 06/09/2008 12:49:56 PM

WHAT relationship to Farrakan? Just because political opponents try to associate him with someone does not mean it is so.

Are some of you really THAT uninformed/misinformed?

There is a difference between "free speech" and libelous statements, slander, and innuendo. The Republicans are masters at it...Let's stick to the issues..exorbitant gasoline prices; a bloody, failed war in the Middle East; the fact that the US is a laughingstock where once we had repect and admiration. When the Republicans see that the issues all fall against them, they turn to smear tactics, half truths and fear mongering. I hope this time the American people will actually be insulted by those machinations and reject out of hand all references to race, gender, age, and lies about a candidate's faith tradition...Oh ...and let's not forget the use of a candidate's middle name because it sounds so "Middle Eastern" and we all know they are our "natural enemies"...

The Muslim leader is one Imam Hassan Qazwini, head of the Islamic Center of America, based in Michigan.

Imam Hassan Qazwini, head of the Islamic Center of America, said in an email that he met with Obama at Macomb Community College. A mosque spokesman, Eide Alawan, confirmed that the meeting took place. During the meeting, the two discussed the Presidential election, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the Iraq war, according to Qazwini.

    {snip}

The meeting with Obama came about after Qazwini had asked David Bonior, the former U.S. Rep. from Michigan, if he could meet with Obama during his visit. Qazwini was not selected to be part of a group of 20 people who met with Obama, but Qazwini later got a private meeting with Obama, Alawan said.

Debbie Schlussel has more background on Qazwini.

I???ve written about Qazwini and his mosque for almost a decade. He is tight with the Government of Iran, and he is an agent of the Iranian government, spreading its propaganda. He was sent to the U.S. by Iran to help radicalize his mosque, the Islamic Center of America, which???at the time???was becoming moderate with women not covering their hair and mixing with men. All that has changed, under Qazwini.

Qazwini is very open about his support for Palestinian homicide bombings, HAMAS, and Hezbollah. And he???s a good friend of Hezbollah spiritual leader, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah???the man who issued the fatwa to Hezbollah terrorists to murder over 300 U.S. Marines and U.S. Embassy civilians in cold blood. Qazwini???s mosque has held rallies and celebrations in support of Hezbollah, and many of Hezbollah???s biggest money-launderers and agents in America are his congregants.

When I went undercover to his mosque in 1998, he and others welcomed Nation of Islam chief racist Louis Farrakhan as ???our dear brother??? and ???a freedom fighter.??? Qazwini applauded Farrakhan???s anti-Semitic statements saying that Jews were the ???forces of Satan??? and that there needed to be a ???jihad??? on the American people.

So tell me again, why Jews, or anyone should support an Obama Presidency?

But they have their faces stuck in his a**.

The know that Obama is going to be president. Perhaps they are making sure they have access after the inaugeration.

Several in Clinton's campaign were spreading disinformation about Obama and his Jewish problem, notably Ann Lewis, a longtime Clintonite and Barney Frank's sister.

  • Posted By: Onenationundertruth @ 06/09/2008 12:32:53 PM

I agree reedgrason. Enough is enough already. It's sad that people have to resort to dirty tricks to try and defeat an opponent. slb1113, you are an uninformed fool. Do you even know what a "present" vote means? Obviously not as you get all your information from conservative, hate-filled blogs instead of checking the facts. The "present vote" is common in Chicago politics and is unique to Chicago legislature. A senator votes "present" when a bill is passed that they find holds merit but comes with too many other problems. Barack voted present because he refused to let unproperly structured bills pass legislation that he knew would solve one problem but bring up another problem to counter-act it. Too many people just want to rush bills through but Barack refused to and wanted to carefully examine each bill.

Your fellow conservative, Nazi brothers have distorted and strangled ever possible BS angle out of it that you could .

Go check out the TRUTH about your guy McCain. (flip-flopper that he is) and that's not some liberal generated lie, that is the TRUTH! I can go to many, many video pieces where he is literally caught in a straight out LIE then stumbles and mumbles and pleads the fifth when he can't gather a better LIE to cover his ass. Give me a break!

valadezaj I don't even know to start with you. Racist moron.

Republicans, like the posters below, are so pathetic. When they can't find something concrete to criticize Obama about, they resort to spreading rumors and using his middle name, Hussein. As if that is somehow insulting. It's only insulting to your fellow narrow-minded hate mongers in the GOP. This is exactly why the GOP is falling apart and will lose in November. We're all tired of the hatefullness and destruction of our country that has been brought on by Republicans.

    • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 06/09/2008 11:24:36 AM

ain't rumors JennieB. And it isn't based on his middle name. Read the articles I posted links to and find out why people won't vote for Obama, not even liberal democrats like me who have never voted for a Republican candidate for president in their lives, not even Reagan.

      • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/09/2008 12:32:09 PM

You are not a liberal democrat.
