BEFORE you can get someone to change their minds about how they are doing things, don't you you have to agree to TALK to them?! How idiotic to think you can change someone's mind without communicating! Obama, or anyone for that matter, should be willilng to sit down and talk to legitimate leaders of any country willing to talk. He has said he would do that without "precondition", but not without apprpriate "preparation".

How can anyone end a comment about exterminating the Jews with an acronym "LOL"? Does anyone think before expressing themselves?

In a Newsweek article entitled "Obama: Good for the Jews?" the following quote addresses the issue raised in this blog: "Almost unanimously, American Jewish leaders say Obama's voting record and public pronouncements paint him squarely as an Israel supporter." Enough said ... stop the lunacy and misrepresentation of one political candidate to just to exalt another. Obama or McCain will bend over backwards to serve Israeli interests and even security. This is what their respective political parties do best outside of selling out the interest of the American people. American voters should not get caught up in this facade of painting Obama as anti-Israel when what we need in a President is someone who is pro-American and anti-foreign infuence. As for the racists who seem to have infiltrated this blog with anti-Black anti-Muslim stereotypes ... you idiots must keep in mind that Obama has a heritage that is both African and Anglo; he has a Jewish given name and Muslim middle name; he has a pro-Israel voting record and Muslim supporters; and lastly, he apparently has you befuddled. Vote for whoever you will and leave the hatred and lying to idiots who hide behind usernames and smiles. God bless America!

I don't know where you're getting your information, but it isn't a good truthful source - he did not use cocaine "for years". What do you think about Cindy McCains addition to pain killers, and the fact that she stole the drugs from charities? McCain would be a disaster. People talk about his middle name as being "Muslim". Do the same people realize that his first name is a Jew name. Barack is the name of the former prime minister of Israel and their current defense minister.

I am pleased to see so many posts by ardent Republicans today. Though I disagree fervently with their diatribes against Senator Obama, it is important for those of us who support and believe in him to see this kind of vitriole every day. It reminds us how viscious, ignorant, rascist and fascist so many of our fellow Americans can be. It puts the fear and hate that are the foundation of Republicanism front and center for more and more people to see as the most serious problem in our Country. It helps motivate those of us interested in
returning our Country to "We the People" and not just the privileged few. It is sad to see some of the twisted, hateful and fearful comments; but, in the end, we must hear it to confront it.

Thank God, we are on the verge of overcoming the fear and hate. Republicans will no longer shape the future of America. The rich and priviliged will no longer shape the future of America. Their ability to attract the fearful and ignorant as their allies is diminishing.

I will vote for Senator Obama, but I do not fear Senator McCain. How ironic that the Republicans had to nominate him this time. They should have done it seven years ago. Think how much better off the Country would be! But, their fear and extreme right views ruled the day. How ironic that they just might elect a Republican who will swing them to the left ... away from the hate and fear. Senator McCain could be a good president. Or, he might sell his soul completely. That is the risk. Hopefully, we will elect Senator Obama and avoid that risk.

Finally, to some of the right wing bloggers posted today, I don't see much difference in your comments and those of some of the world's most violent, dispicable despots. All that changes are the labels used. They and you are probably beyond redemption. The fear is too strong and has lasted too long. How sad for them and for you.

Obama's flip-flop on Palestine/Israel is old news. Here's what he told his buddy in Chicago, Ali Abunimah, about his plans back in 2004 when he was running for the senate and had to start endorsing the Israeli positions in order to be electable: "Hey, I???m sorry I haven???t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race.I???m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front."
