Why should the question be, "Is Obama Good to the Jews?"...Why not , "Is Obama Good For The Americans?" He is Not Running for the Presidency of The Jewish Nation IDIOTS....But The United States of America... What is wrong with you people...????

Superficial article. The author needs to dig into Obama's background, vote records, friends and association to come up with a reasonable conclusion on Obama's inclination to support Israel or not and what he may do in the future. As is, the article is free advertisement for Obama, disguised as news.

Wow, its really tough to pick out the posts by the paid bloggers that the Obama campaign bragged they would be using this election to "immediately refute arguments against Obama" online. Check out the comments posted immediately after anyone points out that it would be impossible for any Obama aide to have overheard such a Senate floor confrontation and that Lieberman was never given a chance to deny this story.

Scummy, thinly veiled attack piece basically written by the Obama campaign...way below Newsweek's usual standards of reporting. Sad to see supposedly intelligent reporters used like this. No attempts at getting any kind of denials from Lieberman for what amounts to a terrible, falsified slander. If this is the kind of "story" we can expect to see in this election, why even bother having a campaign? We already know who Newsweek wants to win. Shameful. A low point for this magazine...the people you have attacked deserve an immediate apology and your readers deserve one for your distortion of the facts to fit your agenda. I hope you at least gained something of value for performing this hatchet job..a promise of improved press access to Obama, perhaps? Good luck getting it...if this is how his staff plays people, you are already yesterday's news(week).

This article perfectly illustrates why it's been a while since I stopped considering Newsweek a source of... well... news. This "news" magazine's reporting has become tabloid-quality, blatantly-biased and agenda-driven. A good number of Newsweek's staff so-called "reporters" urgently need to take an intensive remedial course in Journalism 101.

Even for a left-leaning magazine this article was quite a bit of a stretch. No call to Lieberman to see if the Newsweek reporter was blowing smoke? By publishing political hearsay as news you have once again cheapened your legacy. Hire some real reporters and editors, and get rid of this group of fakes. Even a fledgling editor would have insisted upon the Lieberman response to these silly charges.

My whole Jewish family supports Obama. Most of us supported him in the primaries, and those who voted for Clinton in the primaries will vote for Obama in the general. The fact that he has always had strong support from the Chicago Jewish community is reassuring to me.

In 2006 the Dems took over Congress, since then gas prices have soared. We still have no new refineries and where are we lookin for oil at home? When China is able to explore the gulf and American companies cannot, we need commonsense back in government. Why should gov. bail out people who bought homes beyond their means? According the Senate rules (Rule XXIII), the anonymous "campaign aide" who allegedly witnessed the "brief but animated confrontation" between Sens. Obama and Lieberman would not be allowed anywhere within the Senate chamber under any circumstances. Perhaps one of the three reporters who produced this masterpiece can explain why the story is based either on hearsay or fantasy. Or perhaps they too will be "strangely muted."

No - it's not a myth, much to the chagrin of the Obama water-carrying media desperate to see him win. Obama has had so many anti-semitic friends, mentors and associates there is no way on earth I will vote for him despite how many friends he throws under the bus or speeches he gives to AIPAC. You are judged by the company you keep - your actions, not your words. This Reform Jew will vote Republican - the first time since 1984. Why? At AIPAC, he said "undivided Jerusalem" and the next day, when the Palestinians complained, he completely reversed himself. Obama says whatever people want to hear. He can't be trusted.

Obama has a serious problem with the American Jewish community which he has brought upon himself with his carefully chosen words about Israel and how it seems as if he feels himself to be tip-toeing through a verbal mind field whenever the question comes up. Why no direct, clear answers? Perhaps he is afraid to offend his anti-Semitic masters!

He has surrounded himself with anti-Jewish hate mongers like Rev. Wright and Minister Farrakan along with members of the PLO. he has distanced himself from them now because he is trying to win our votes, but the people are not so dumb!

GW Bush rush to Europe desperately try to cushion the Oil prices by trying to boost US dollar up without the strong backing in federal reserve,as we all know that Oil being as payment in US currency,he thought by doing this can cushion the price of gas to stabilize from further increase at home. This article is junk. Why doesn't Newsweek just come out and be honest with everyone about it's pro-Obama stance.
