Before you throw psychological terms out to the general public, may I remind you that there are people who do know more than you and less than you. In this case, your word useage is way off and has absolutely no meaning in the discussion at hand....if your going to use psychological terms, use them correctly, or don't use them at all.

      I???ve written about Qazwini and his mosque for almost a decade. He is tight with the Government of Iran, and he is an agent of the Iranian government, spreading its propaganda. He was sent to the U.S. by Iran to help radicalize his mosque, the Islamic Center of America, which???at the time???was becoming moderate with women not covering their hair and mixing with men. All that has changed, under Qazwini.

      Qazwini is very open about his support for Palestinian homicide bombings, HAMAS, and Hezbollah. And he???s a good friend of Hezbollah spiritual leader, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah???the man who issued the fatwa to Hezbollah terrorists to murder over 300 U.S. Marines and U.S. Embassy civilians in cold blood. Qazwini???s mosque has held rallies and celebrations in support of Hezbollah, and many of Hezbollah???s biggest money-launderers and agents in America are his congregants.

      When I went undercover to his mosque in 1998, he and others welcomed Nation of Islam chief racist Louis Farrakhan as ???our dear brother??? and ???a freedom fighter.??? Qazwini applauded Farrakhan???s anti-Semitic statements saying that Jews were the ???forces of Satan??? and that there needed to be a ???jihad??? on the American people.

      So tell me again, why Jews, or anyone should support an Obama Presidency?

      You are not correct, Seattle...the majority of Americans do stand for Israel...of course you may be part of the liberal Seattle group that only operates within its own confines, so you may not have been aware of that. Aside from that, this country has pledged continued support of Israel's right to be a country and withdrawing that support would be disastrous.

    Response to Peter Timber - I don't know where you get the idea that Obama is a great patriot and will do something patriotic, lawful and restorative for the American people. Apparently, you feel that guilt by association does not apply to all the close radical, racist, non-patriotic, America hating preachers, associates, friends, etc. that the Obama's have and have had for many many years.         Caz: we've been hated all over the world for decades. If we play the Isolationist card they hate us cause we won't help. If we do jump in to help pull their asses out of the mire they hate us. They hate us because we are usually the 1st on the scene to help in disasters. We feed the world & they hate us. They hate us if we're right & they hate us if we're wrong. If we didn't take out Sodamn Insane they would hate us anyway. In my opinion the 1st pres bush should have finished the job while he had the chance in the Gulf War. Instead, no - he pulled out & that jerk was appeased for another decade. Just like Chamberlain appeased Hitler & gave him the Rhineland, Austria, Czecho...You CANNOT negotiate with MADMEN! USA can do nothing right in the eyes of the world. We have known since the 1950's that there was an oil prob. We should have done something abt this ages ago & let the Arabs rot in their desert! Now it's too late.           I'm originally from a Latin American country and you're very right to an extent; some people will hate the US no matter what. That comes from jealousy and from being the big kid on the block. However, everything is relative, the US came a LONG way during the '90s in reconciling with Latin America and other places and after 9-11, take my word for it, people LOVED this country. Even in France, where Le Monde (a VERY leftist newspaper and often critical of the US) had in the banner headline on 9-12 TODAY WE ARE ALL AMERICANS. In Iran, about 10,000 people marched in spite of threat of arrest to show support for the US. But all that good will was squandered and we're hated like we never were before. Why? Because of the cowboy diplomacy and thug mentality of our foreign policy.

          Bush Sr. could have gone into Baghdad but the UN resolution only called for liberating Kuwait. What he should have done was actually support the Shiites in the South whom he promised to help if they rebelled against Saddam. Not everybody is the rest of the world is a madman. We negotiated successfully th Mao when China was a rogue state and we brought them into the circle of nations. We negotiated with the Soviets when they called for revolution in the rest of the non-communist world. I agree, we cannot negotiate with Bin Laden (nor should we) but we invaded a country who was not a threat and Bin Laden is still alive and kicking, I'm sure you'll agree we mismanaged our priorities

          We cannot bomb any country we don't like and expect to be liked or respected. You can say we've always been hated and I'd agree to an extent but the level of hatred and mistrust to the US right now is unprecedented.

            caz: 1 more thing: I was in France in the mid 70's. I also went to Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Spain, England & Wales. I never heard derogatory remarks in any of those countries abt the US. Everyone was pleasant & very welcoming - except for France. I was there for education & except for my traveling to other places it was one of the most depressing times of my life. I felt like an outcast. I don't hate the French, I just don't like them.

            Caz: Yes I agree with you! One thing tho', I lived in France for a time years ago & they hated us then too. It's ok tho cause the French hate everybody. That's not a bigoted remark on my part - many French ppl told me to my face how they hated all other countries & they were better than everyone else. It was unbelievable!
            Another thought: Did you notice how 1st we went to Afghanistan & then Iraq? Who's in the middle? Iran!! I guess our govt wanted to be militarily, strategically positioned for the "real" threat. It just goes around & around. : (

      It is not a matter of left wing liberalism. The right has always used scare tactics and now has left us with the biggest mess in a generation. In a perfect world perhaps there would be no dirt on either side of the political spectrum. However, my daughter is/will be paying the price for failed policies of the right over this last eight years. She is part of the Y generation that has signed on in record numbers because of failed policies of the right.

      If what I see is true, it will be the biggest shift in a generation. Gasoline prices, the economy and healthcare are going to define our next election. Sure world problems cannot be ignored, nor can our troops who have been fighting valiantly in Iraq. How and when will we be able to get out of our quagmire? Are you saying that somebody on the left side of the aisle does not have the ability to exercise proper judgement? Why do you think devided we fall.org has started? Our country is in bad shape, thats why. And McCain has his share of preacher problems too, don't forget.

      Obama does not have a problem with the Jewish vote. People are still getiing use to and somewhat scared the idea that we may see the first black president in the United Sates. I don't know if you were around when JFK was elected. The excitement now is almost as high or perhaps higher than it was in 1960. Kick back, and have the ride of your life. History is being made whomever wins the upcoming election....Hillary already has made history. Obama is making history everyday now win or lose.

Obama's spiritual mentor and Church of 20 years, TUCC. bestowed it's 'highest social achievement award' on Louis Farrakhan, the head of the Nation of Islam. Farrakhan called whites "blue-eyed devils", referred to Judaism as a "dirty religion", and Jews as "blood suckers." He continues to claim the U.S. government is "the enemy" and continues to make veiled threats against America.

Hopefully the evangelicals in the south don't fall for the Republican manipulation of values voters. Family values is for the home and the church.         bigjersey, For some potential republican candidates, I would disagree with you. But today, we are talking about John McCain. So guess what. I do agree with you. And get this. I'm a white Southern Baptist Preacher. I don't like Obama in any way. But from a conservative point of view, what does John McCain offer that I can or should support. He just refused to meet with Billy Graham, one of the most recognized preachers in our world today. I am all about people knowing and following Jesus Christ. I just doubt that John McCain is any more the path to do that than Barak Obama is. (I still stand by my comments to turn against Israel would end our greatness.)

            I Care greatly about Judges. I've also not said that I'm going to run out and vote for Barak. I agree w/ Big Jersey that we are being fed a lie by the Republican parth. I think that Both Obama and McCain are true politicians. I think that if John McCain is in office, and he needs to put a judge in place, that he will trade the priciples most important to us as conservatives to gain other victories. (i.e. not wanting to fight w/ everybody, but wanting to be clear w/ Peter... I think John McCain will put a pro-choice judge in place in exchange for something else he wants done.) i.e. I don't trust him. I don't trust Obama either though.... I think their both snakes. "Now, whacha gona do bout that?" very little I fear. I know that the Judicial element will come out far better with McCain. And I still may vote for him. But distancing himself from Billy Graham really hurt him in my book.

              John McCain will nominate Supremes who understand their job is to uphold the laws, not make them. That is the job of the legislature. His votes have consistently been conservative in social issues so there is no reason to believe he will nominate liberal judges that are in disagreement with his own beliefs.

          I don't think Jews are going to be killed at the "end times". I don't believe in end times. It's the fundamentalist Christians who believe this. That's their interpretation of Revelations. If you want to read more about it, you might want to check out the book "American Fascists", which dissects the fundamentalist hard right.

          It's a fact that there is a movement of fundamentalist Christians that believe in ushering along the supposed "end times", and their support of Israel is a strategy to help bring this about.

    I am Jewish. I talk to many Jewish voters. They are concerned. Jewish voters remember his relationship to Farrakan. They don't like his Muslum middle name. It's an emtional thing, not a rational thing. Personally I will vote for any Democrat to avoid 4 more years of Bush but Obama has a lot of work to do!

    I'm reposting this cause I'd really like an answer: It is inconcievable to me that any Jew anywhere would not support Israel. I do & I'm not even Jewish! Knowing their history, especially what happened to them at the hands of Adolph Hateler I just don't see why a homeland, as tiny as it is, wouldn't be supported by Jews everywhere. Can someone please explain this to me?? Is it like not all Christians support the Vatican?? That's the only analogy I can come up with! : )

        It depends on what you mean by "support." There are an awful lot of American Jews who don't like Israeli policy toward Palestinians - a LOT of them. I've seen rallies, I've seen articles, I've talked to friends. They're out there all right. Now, if you mean support Israel's right to exist, well, I don't think I've met many people, Jew or gentile, who want to see the state of Israel destroyed and the Jews scattered around the world again. So you need to define your terms - all for Israel, right or wrong, or Israel, strong and surviving?

    As a Jewish American, I am a little embarrassed by all this attention on the Jewish vote. I have supported Obama since the beginning. In Israel, their concern stems from the fact that they are unfamiliar with his positions compared to Clinton or McCain. But most Israeli citizens are not citizens of the United States. The old Jews in Florida really liked Hillary Clinton. This has nothing to do with Barack Obama. Hillary is from New York, where many Florida Jews maintain summer residences and raised their families before retirement. Conversely, the 300,000+ Chicagoland Jews overwhelmingly supported Barack Obama. There is no Jewish vote problem for Obama. As always, 20% or so of the Jewish Population always vote Republican. They are generally the fiscal conservatives, supply side economic, wall street types. But since most American Jews reside comfortably in the middle class - and have a long history of fighting for social justice... 75% of American Jews will undoubtedly support Obama come November. Stop reporting on the Jewish vote because it is drawing undue attention to a small minority (a little more than 1%) of the American population.

      I agree with you, it's kind of like a big guy kicking a chihuahua. However, I part with you on the 75%. I followed the advice of one of the posters and read the Ed Lasky article. It kind of makes your toes curl. Most people associate themselves with others with whom they have something in common or with whom they agree. Obama has a lot of noise around him. He won't get my vote. This is hard after casting my first vote for JFK and being a loyal democrat up until Kerry. But the party has changed, the world has changed and so have I.

I would never support a candidate that place unreasonable pressure on Israel to vacate longstanding and stable neighborhoods just over the green line. The question of Israeli - Palestinian peace will be up to Israeli citizens and politicians. The idea that Obama would dare undermine the security of Israel, America's strongest middle eastern and democratic ally, is completely absurd. Don't believe it. Everyone that knows Israel, knows the fear-mongering of Israel's right wing. The one thing I know for sure is that Israel can take of itself, irrespective of who is elected president of the U.S.

          That's not how it works. The Rapture happens at the beginning. The judgment is at the end, after several years. In the meantime, the car would be nice to have, assuming it gets decent mileage.

    This debate about Israel is leading to something that will happen relatively soon- a peace treaty guaranteeing Israel get peace. This is the beginning of the tribulation.
    I think you all need to do some research into what really is going on. I think Obama sounds like a great candidate, but RON PAUL has some great points too.

    We have a far left group of people with lotsa money, pushing to gain the control of energy in this country and once they suceed they then will take over the control of the world energy. The senate and house could end this high gas price by dumping Anwar a pass the bill to start pumping in the US keeping all the oil here for our us. Clinton and his croners passed this bill to help gain control over the energy of the world. You may think this is far fetched, but sart to think for yourself and view the facts, Global warming was dumped on us with no room for rebutal. Using our food for energy raising the price so all our groceries prices double, fuel to get food to the market is higher then gas, raising the prices even higher. Once they've gained control of the energy, theres no stopping them, you'll have to bow to them, pay their high prices and surtax just to be able to fill your tank, and ask permission to turn your lights on and heat your house. This maybe sounds loony but mark my work thats the way its headed. Its not Bush who is at faualt its Anwar and the Clinton crowd that put a stop to using our own oil and dependent on Saradi oil. Soon it'll cost a week wages just to eat. One world Government. Its on its way.
